Their signature dish, the pesce al sale ($43), takes a whole fish and bakes it encrusted in salt. Wheeled out still in the salty tomb, the fish is quickly filleted and dressed in a light lemon butter sauce. While the dish looks huge, after fileting the meat what's leftover is smaller than you'd expect, but nonetheless sufficient as a main for one. The sea bass was remarkably moist and tender with such a clean taste that even someone who doesn't like fish could be converted. The risotto frutti di mare ($44) serves two, but with a few appetizers this could be stretched for three people (pictured below is a single portion). Dotted throughout the risotto were bits of clams, shrimp, squid, octopus and bay scallops all evenly disbursed so each bite had a couple of seafood items and helped to thoroughly scent the rice. Tuck in as soon as it arrives as it's a lovely consistency but a tad more cooked than normal; should be it left longer, it may become too soft. Coppi offers a variety of appetizers but truthfully the choices are rather safe and nothing seemed overly exciting. Their Caesar salad ($15) is heavy on the anchovy and light on garlic, making the flavours subtler and ideal for those who want a lighter tasting version of the salad. The burrate caprese ($19) is simple combination of quality ingredients: a decent portion of burrata mozzarella, grape tomatoes, and rich and bright olive oil that went especially well with the warm heavily salted baguette. Personally, I rather have an appetizer portion of pasta instead. The pappardelle in the mare d monte ($18) arrives as silky slightly chewy ribbons and the sauce a light combination of shrimp, mushrooms, and tomato. It's a great blend of sweet seafood, earthy fungi, and just a hint of something fresh. The spaghetti used in the chitarra tirreno ($26 for a main portion) is interestingly square-shaped and could be a tad more al dante. Regardless, the san Marzano tomato sauce mixed with all the seafood tastes wonderful and is that lighted umami-laced tomato sauce I love with seafood pasta.

service 5/5 friendly & very accommodating staff. professional and polite. everyone is so joyful here and really made the experience here memorable. over all food 5/5 warm assorted olives: really good! not too overly salty. their bread is toasted and brushed with olive oil. its warm, crispy, and has that great chew, with a hint of rosemary. radicchio & pera salad: refreshing, light sweet vinaigrette w/some asiago cheese shavings, grilled pear, pecans and greens. *gnocchi fritti: oh my goodness! crispy but fluffy gnocchis with shaved parm and a slight kick of chili! these fried potatoe dumplings are a must try here! my absolute favourite gnocchi dish ever! pappardelle mare e monte: lightly sauced, with shrimps, cherry tomatoes and mushrooms! great flavours all around. **risotto con porcini: if you love cheese & mushrooms, then you've got to try this dish! your classic italian risotto in a cream sauce with lots of mushrooms, then finished off in big parmigiano reggiano wheel! they mix it all in front of you and plate it! side of roasted market veggies, and polenta parm: creamy polenta with parmigiano cheese. i wasnt too fond of the over all presentation but think of it as gritty mashed poatoes. falvours were still good though. the vegetables were nice done. an assortment of yams, brusselsprouts and carrots. we were too full for desserts but the menu did look enticing! definitely would come back here and i do recommend this lovely spot to everyone!

Great service - amazing food! Truffle risotto was a my absolute favourite- cooked perfectly. It's one of the best truffle risottos I've had!! Literally dreaming about it as I write this review. We also had fresh burrata and their bread - which were both delicious. They have a limited wine list - we tried one that the owner recommended which was a perfect pairing with our food. This was my second time here and I will continue to keep coming back until I've tried all their dishes. Highly recommended!

I don't know why Coppi has a 3 star review ??! They simply are 5 STARS!! We set up online reservations they call on the day of to reconfirm (which is great because its a reminder some people need). From what I understand Coppi has a background in cycling? It's quite evident in the decor and menu's. My boyfriend stayed with the regular menu because he didn't eat all day; I however stayed with the Summerlicious menu. For myself; I had the summerlicious - strawberry and arugula salad - monkfish on polenta w/ rapini - tiramisu Lets just say I'll be for sure coming back to coppi for the regular menu. The salad was absolutely delicious burst of flavors and the pecorino cheese was just a nice touch! It was my first time having monkfish and I was so nervous but the server said its like the texture of lobster. Paired with the polenta and rapini; oh my goodness lets say I wish I didn't get the summerlicious portion. I kept wanting more!! The tiramisu was absolutely delightful. I ideally look for tiramisu's like this because its light and fluffy not overbearingly drenched with alcohol. My boyfriend had: - octopus carpaccio- which he loved and said it complimented with the arugula and fresh peas - oven baked orata- he was over the moon because its EXACTLY how his mother makes it which is a (Sardenian tradition) A bit pricy to say the least but well worth it!

Dined here during Summerlicious 2016. Everything was delicious! The sea bream firsh - amazing, nice and flaky. The appetizers yummy, light and fresh. The tiramisu, as it should be, creamy, fluffy and sweet. The decor is romantic, dim lighting, but also modern. This was our first time here, but we would gladly come back again soon.

Bad experience. Service was bad. Food was tasteless. Waitress was bad with attitude. Ended up spoke with the manager about it.

The kind, attentive service was outstanding, the food exquisite, and sitting outside in the flower rimmed quiet patio made the ambiance just what we wanted. We had dinner there 3 out of the 5 evenings of our trip, it was so outstanding!!! And, we were welcomed warmly each night by Khalid, making us feel like VIP's! His menu suggestions & wine choices were perfect! And my sincere compliments to the Chef who prepared our fine appetizers, breads, pasta, and dessert. They deserve 5 stars! Truly excellent!!

There is an upstairs balcony seating but I've never sat there. During warm weather, there is plenty of roadside outdoor seating too. This is my fourth time here but I never wrote a review fir the restaurant before. We ordered the following: 1. Shrimp Perno (daily special $6/shrimp). Jumbo Shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine, tomatoes, scallions, and finished off with a shot of perno liquor. 2. Rack of Lamb (daily special $59.95). Four pieces of lamb in a rack, with a rich portion wine reduced sauce, that has a touch of mint to it, and Penne Pasta in a tomato rose sauce. The table bread was really good. The crust was crispy but the inside was fluffy. The soft butter that came it was so tasty. The bread was perfect for dipping in the sauce that came with the shrimp. We asked for a second basket of bread and they put two loafs in the second basket. It was too much so they were willing to let us take it home. The shrimps were definitely jumbo. It was so filling. Two pieces (per person) were good enough as an appetizer. The shrimps were perfectly cooked. We requested the lamb be cooked medium rare. It was definitely medium rare. It was juicy and did not have a gamey taste. It tastes great. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The tomato rose sauce was really good. They offered to grind parmesan cheese and pepper so we got both. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2025-187

This is a wine bar - the house lager was bad (maybe my own bad decision) and the red I got was fine ... nothing to write home about. However place fell apart with the food - the shrimp came with 5 medium sized shrimp with the tails, legs and shells on and were under seasoned. The artichokes were mediocre (loved the sauce they came with). Worst of all was the "Ontario peaches" with the burrata were totally canned peaches - could've even been dole brand! This place has amazing potential with the location and vibe - but the food just was not it. Small portions and the price didn't match what was served. The service was friendly but nothing too crazy. Go here for the drinks, but maybe not for the dinner!

Our server was great at helping us pick our wine, he mentioned that their wines are all on the dry side which is perfect for me, I'm not one for sweet wines. We also had two of their small plates the mussels and the burrata. The mussels tasted great with the sauce, a little garlicky which I prefer. The combination of the peach and mint went really well with the burrata. Light and easy to eat. The patio at night is one of the highlights. The only small complaint was it did take a while to get our wine after we ordered it and a little while to get our check. Otherwise cute spot.

Lots of decent beers on draft and they leave water bottle to refill your water cups, which I love. Service is bit slow. Had to sit at the bar since it was crowded at 6:30pm and still had to wait 30 mins. I normally don't eat at the bar, since bartenders are slower and busier with drink orders, but I was starving. Bartender only checked on us once, when food came out. Hard to get their attention too. Food, however, was amazing! Love the savory giant meatball and the rich San Marzano tomato-based marinara sauce, with dab of pesto and plenty of fresh basil. Loved the sauce was not too acidic and pasta cooked perfectly, not al dente. The focaccia bread comes with this rosemary garlic butter, and it was absolutely delicious on focaccia. The focaccia bread alone was just okay, not much rosemary or oil flavor, but I think the spread had all the flavor. Amazing and worth $6.

For the main dish we could choose from gnocchi, salad with salmon or another dish which I can't recall right now. Dessert was ice cream which I also couldn't eat. The gnocchi was very mediocre. I didn't enjoy it at all. I hadn't been here in years but I see their food quality hasn't gotten any better. I was starving by the time the main dish came out so I ate about a quarter of the dish. Then I took the rest of the gnocchi home. Service: The waitstaff were really nice but the service was not very organized. There was a lot of appetizers but I couldn't eat most of it. Which is strange because I gave my food allergies several days in advance of the meal. It took some time to get the main dish as well so the pacing didn't seem great. I looked around at the other tables & we got our main dishes last. I'm not sure if the kitchen was at fault or what. Ambiance: It's quite dark here even on the lunch hour. The decor is dark wood tones, red upholstered banquette seating & wooden tables & chairs. It's not a fancy place. I would not choose to eat here again. Last time I went was several years ago. Sadly I see they haven't gotten any better. There are other better Italian restaurants in this area.
