Coppola's is the BEST !!!! No place better. Anthony and staff are all polite, professional and knowledgeable and very willing to share. All plants and flowers are healthy and many to pick from. If you can't find what your looking for there your not finding it anywhere. Prices are fair When you step inside there are many different gift items And gardening products. One stop shopping. I would not reccomend buying pepper plants ro any produce plants from here. The several peppers I bought this season Have died or have barely grown. Ones I bought from other sources have grown 5x in size. After some research, I learned that they are stunted and dying because they all have diseases, namely bacterial leaf spot, which will probably stick around in my garden for years to come. I cannot stress enough not to buy garden plants from this place. I have never had issues with this disease before. Found this lovely garden center through Google search in our neighborhood. They have a grand selection of flora that includes flowers to vegetables. We were amazed by the varieties they owned within a specific category of vegetable. Linda was at the helm of things and walked us though the various aspects of shrubs, plants and offered generous tips on gardening techniques. Check the inside of the store for some cute looking garden decors. The prices seem to be nominal and the parking space won't be a challenge. They also have a long list of items coming their way through the Spring and Summer and we can't wait to get back here. read more

I always love to stop here seasonally for beautiful different flowers. They carry some unique pieces and they have the nicest staff.

I'm originally from here but I live over on the left coast now. Over the past year I've discovered that I have a knack for this gardening thing and apparently I have a great yard for it as well. I started with some simple veggies and herbs last year and now I'm tackling more. Being from here I was interested in one thing to bring back to Portland. The Jersey Tomatoes. The Beefsteak. Coppola's does have starters that were created over at nearby Rutgers University and I believe Ramapo as well, but I can't take something like that on an airplane, and I didn't have the room. It was suggested to take some seeds and there were two varieties. Organic and non-organic beefsteaks. Being that I live in Portland, Oregon where everything is either gluten-free, hand pasteurized, or whatever the newest fad currently is, I went with organic seeds. Now they are planted and we shall see what happens. The guy behind the counter was quite helpful and my father and aunt frequent this place for their gardens. Nice little spot and not expensive. Coppola's is by far the best nursery I have ever been to. Their selection of vegetables and herbs is amazing. And their selection of flowering plants is great. In the winter they are my go to source for Christmas trees. They have a wide variety of supplies and ornaments. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. This is my favorite garden supply store in the area. In the spring, Coppola's has an amazing selection of herbs (including less common ones like turmeric and ashwagandha) veggies, and flowers. I even picked up a dwarf pomegranate tree today! I initially came in looking for information about starting my first garden, and the employees were so helpful about identifying what I would need to add to my soil (I brought a jar of it with me) to optimize growth. Since then, I've returned multiple times and have always found the experience and owners incredibly pleasant. I live closer to some of the big box retailers but will always go out of my way to support this great local business. read more

I am excited for spring every year because I get to visit all of the beautiful plants and flowers here! My mom and I come here every year to pick out some Indian plants sour melon, peppers, etc.) we grow in our backyard. We also look around for flowers that we can also add. The staff there is great to talk to because they're quite knowledgeable about all of the plants and any other planting questions your might have. One of my favorite things about the outdoor locations is their organization and signage. All of the plans and sections are labeled accordingly so it's easy for you to find your way around. If there's an area you're waiting to bring back plants, they update the area with a sign for when the plants will become available. The indoor store has any additional supplies or feed you may need. They also sell knick-knacks on the side as well. Highly recommend it! read more

Outstanding! I've been coming to Coppola's every spring and summer for the past 18 years, and they really are great. They have an extensive selection of garden veggies, flowers and plants. Everything is organized and labeled. I especially like all the unusual varieties of garden veggies . . . variants from all over the world! We grow a lot of peppers for use in gumbo and chili, and the varieties of hot peppers, especially from India and Asia, are both tasty and potent. I highly recommend Coppola's for home gardeners. read more

I have shopped here for years, but NO MORE. The owner is a lovely woman, but I have had enough of their deteriorating plants and I have especially had enough with her RUDE female employee, The male employee is so nice and friendly. The woman employee is so rude that I am never coming back. This woman has been here for years and is probably a family member. The other day, I asked a simple question about a specific breed of heirloom tomatoes that I had purchased here for many years. This tomato breed was nowhere to be seen and I asked the woman if they had any on hand and if not, would they be getting more in stock. This rude woman did not even look up at me and acted like I was truly annoying her day with my two polite simple questions. The woman said "If it's not here, we don't have them. If we ever get more, we will get them when we get them." Then she walked away without another word while my young daughter stared at her retreating back in surprise at her unnecessary rudeness. I am shopping elsewhere where I am not a bother and where there are better quality plants. I would give just 1 star, but I upped it to 2 stars simply because the owner is very nice. read more

I needed lavender for my backyard, and they had it at a good price. Well cared for plants, VERY knowledgeable staff - the lady helped me find my dream hibiscus bush! It's a perennial - and costs the SAME as the annual. Great service, good prices read more

Rude is an understatement. I called up the number and they took the call but just hung up on me. When I called back, the person just asked me "Why do you keep calling again and again?" I was like seriously dude!!! I said sorry I bothered you and will take my business else where. Glad this happened on the phone and it saved me a trip. read more
