Jeff, the owner, exemplifies everything that makes Baumley special. He is remarkably approachable and generous with his time, but what truly sets him apart is his extraordinary knowledge of horticulture, landscape design, plant selection, site conditions, and garden composition. Jeff recently completed a landscaping project at my home, and the results are stunning. He seamlessly united a more formal area of my property with a neighboring naturalistic space, creating a transition so natural that the two areas appear to have always belonged together. The installation was carried out by Brian and his crew, who are among the finest landscapers I have worked with--and I have had several homes landscaped over the years. Brian was not only highly skilled, but also patient, flexible, attentive, and receptive to my ideas throughout the process. Within a day of the project's completion, neighbors were stopping to comment on how beautiful the yard looked. What impresses me most, however, is Jeff's commitment to quality and personal service. The day after the project was completed, he returned to ensure that everything had been executed exactly as planned. And it had been. While looking over the landscaped area, he noticed that a pop-up drain installed years earlier by another landscaper was improperly positioned, preventing it from functioning efficiently. Despite the rain, he rolled up the sleeves of his jacket and cleared the accumulated mud and debris, restoring proper drainage until his crew could return to relocate the outlet and correct the problem permanently. When we stepped inside, it was a wonderland of plants! Definitely worth a visit just to take a quick look around. They have plant pots and accessories as well. They also have beautifully colored orchids but knowing my newbie plant skills, I opted for the low maintenance snake plant and :: drum roll please :: it's still alive! I water it every 10-15 days and it just need indirect sunlight. It's name is Plari (named after my dog Nari..Plant Nari - Plari). And he adds a charm to my room . This was my first experience getting a real Christmas tree and I was super excited and ready to chop down my own tree and haul it back home. That would have been $65. We drove an hour to get there. They had cut down all the nice looking trees and put them out for sale for $90. We walked around and decided to just buy the nice looking one that was pre-cut for $90. The tree was 8 feet tall Frazier fir and they were able to trim it down to around 7 for me. The staff wrapped it all up and placed it in my car and helped my friend tie hers to the rack of her car. Staff were all super nice and helpful with the tree. They sell tree stands but I would highly recommend investing in the Genie Christmas tree stand that you can buy online so you don't have to worry about screwing the tree in properly. Otherwise they were selling tree stands for $40/45 I think. Bring cash! I would have given 4 stars if I found nicer looking trees on the actual farm.
