It seems that there just be a limit on how long you can stay before you might need to relate to another spot. The laundry is not over priced here. $2 to wash and $1.50 to dry. Last place it was $3 and $3. If you are looking for a in this area-this is it. It sets the bar very high.

Wide spaced sites, with hookups and picnic tables, all under wonderful trees! We felt so lucky to have wound up here for a few nights...We found a gem that we wouldn't have otherwise known about! Belinda and Brian have built a tremendous place and are so clearly putting their heart into keeping it clean, tidy, and hospitable for guests. We had it booked for 5 nights and they wouldn't even give us a partial refund so we're out a good chunk of money. Extremely disappointed in the lack of photos and information because had we known we never would have booked this site, and now we can't even afford to stay anywhere else and have to cancel our trip entirely.

There is a game room with ping pong, pool, darts, ect. Showers and restrooms are SUPER clean and smelled very nice. There is a short 10 min walk to Ophir rest area, a great way to enjoy the beach. The tent sites are very secluded and only down side is that it is a very far walk if you need to use to restrooms. (Unless you drive). There are porta potties out there if that's your thing. The sunset is very beautiful. Bonus points for hearing the waves crash during the night. Highly recommend to anyone looking to try it out.

Our site had a picnic table and fire ring on the BACK side of our back-in site, by the neighboring RV's door/windows, so it was inconvenient and uncomfortable to use them. The older lady with short hair who works there hovers over the game room/laundry facilities area. We went upstairs to play pool while waiting for our laundry and she hurried into the building, yelling, "Excuse me! Have you been here before? Do you know the rules?!" (Ummm, we're just a middle-aged couple playing a game of pool.). We replied, telling her we know the "rules" and continued playing, but she remained there, standing at her post and watching/listening to us. It was so awkward and we couldn't understand why we were being watched. PROS: The campground is in a beautiful setting and great location. There are some open field areas where you can play frisbee and catch and it's only a short walk to the beach.

This is my second stay at Baypoint Landing and everything was very consistent with the first time I stayed. Very helpful and friendly people at check-in. This time I booked a back in Bayview site that was pretty much right on the water. Left the shades up in my back windows and woke up with a view of the bay every morning. I've only used the RV sites but the 20 or so airstream trailers. They have there look like they'd be fun as well. The amenities at Baypoint Landing are really nice. Two bocce courts, two horseshoe pits, a children's playground, a pavilion if you wanna have a little party. There's also about a half dozen washing machines and dryers in the laundry room that includes a big table for folding all your stuff. The laundry room is open 24 hours via a door keypad. There are also four unisex bath and shower rooms and one male and one female bathroom. These are also open 24 hours via the same door keypad. The shower rooms are really nice, plenty of room to spread out and hooks on the walls for your clothes and towels. There's an abundance of hot water. There's no shampoo or soap so bring your own. The building that the shower rooms and laundry is in also has about a half a dozen covered garbage cans for the trash from your RVs. All this is pretty centrally located in the park so you don't have to walk very far. Baypoint Landing is only about a 14 or 15 minute drive into the commercial part of Coos Bay that has several seafood themed restaurants and bars. The only nit that I have is that the grounds have become infested with what I called goats head. It's those little yellow flowering plants that also produce a very sharp burr that falls on the ground. I guess it's indigenous to this Bayside location so there's not much they can do about it. But it's everywhere, gets in your dog hair and stuck to their paws and even stuck to the bottom of your shoes. You need to check carefully when you get in your RV and pull everything off or you're likely to get these burrs on the floor of your vehicle which will give you a very nasty surprise if you're up walking around without shoes.

The "fitness room" was a total disappointment. Asked the gal at check-in if they had free-weights. "Oh yes"she exclaimed. Really? 3 dumbell sets (10 lbs heaviest!) and no bench. Only machines were a couple of treadmills and stationary bikes. Fitness room for octogenarians? The pool is saltwater, and not big enough to swim laps. Maybe 10x40ft with stairs at one end. No spa. For the price of admission, this is pathetic. We've stayed at much less expensive resorts with far better amenities. This place relies on the location, which is decent, but not exceptional. You are on the bay, not the ocean, no with ocean access from the resort. In sum, we won't be returning; as the cost wasn't matched with value.

You get to know your neighbors, the people taking care of things, and the little details that make everyday life comfortable. Those are the things I appreciate most about being here. The river is one of my favorite parts of the park. Being able to take a walk down to the water or just spend some time outside enjoying the surroundings means a lot to me. The green grass, shade trees, and birds in the morning make it a pleasant place to start the day. I enjoy seeing people out walking their dogs and stopping to visit with a neighbor along the way. There's a nice sense of community here. People are friendly, and you can enjoy a conversation while still having your own space and privacy. Having familiar faces around is one of the benefits of living here long term. It's comfortable, and I feel settled here. Josh and Casey deserve credit for the work they put into the park. Keeping a place like this running takes ongoing effort, and I appreciate seeing the grounds and facilities cared for. I also appreciate being able to talk with them and being treated like someone they know. That personal connection makes a difference when this is where you live every day. Dan and Tiffany have treated me well over the years, and I'm grateful for that. The way people treat you matters just as much as the setting and amenities, especially when you're choosing a place to call home. The practical things make life easier, too. Having two laundry rooms on site is convenient, and I appreciate the clean bathrooms and showers. The location makes getting out for errands or heading onto I-5 easy, while still letting me come home and enjoy time by the river. Thorough background checks ensure a safe and friendly community, and even the overnight guests seem to leave with smiles on their faces based on what I've observed. For visitors, I highly recommend requesting spaces 1, 2, or 3. These spacious pull-through spots are perfect for larger rigs and are conveniently located closer to the boat ramp and beaches. As I always suggest, ask Josh for tips on the best fishing spots on the river. He's a great resource for finding hot spots for steelhead, salmon, and bass.
