Kyle, my therapist, has worked with me to put together a program of exercises and stretching that have helped tremendously. I added dry needling to the mix, which has been a Godsend. Kyle seems to be able to find the exact location of knots and tension and to target them for release with perfect precision. I get much relief from him and this therapy. I have worked with other therapists as well. To a one, every staff member (clinical and administrative) is friendly, competent, funny, and a joy. I cannot recommend this practice enough.

I'm flying out of town for 5 days I didn't want to wait til next week. I think it might be helping reduce sore muscles, I just can't tell yet ( sore since last weekend workouts;) I read some research in Cryotherapy last night...it's said to likely burn up to 800 calories after one 3 min session due to the blood vessels rushing from the protected core to all the areas once you're out. When I was moved closer to her for another treatment, I asked her to leave because her coughing was spreading germs all over the place. She made a sarcastic remark. I immediately left, went to the front desk and canceled the rest of my 36 appointments. A business that lets sick employees amongst its customers, many elderly, should be avoided. BTW, the treatments I received were great by the therapists.

However, OPT on Ligon Mill Road in Wake Forest tops them all! Olivier and his staff were recommended to me through a home PT after a full knee replacement. Adding to this surgery were complications from Vertigo as well the right knee in the same shape as the pre surgery left knee was. My appts have been on time, positive mental attitudes from all staff members, along with just the most friendly professionals, and very knowledgable. Full knee replacements can take a lot of time, patience and work. Having such trained pros helping us to recover, heal and strengthen without overdoing it - makes all the difference! I know what I am going to be going into with another full knee replacement coming up, but with the care of OPT I am ready to schedule the next. Be careful when parking and try to park far away from others to protect your vehicle from potential damage. The security guard was super friendly. When checking in, you do so on an iPad that the front desk gives you. The front desk staff was NOT friendly at all. The 4 stars is mainly because of the nurse, who was friendly, and the PA (Jason). Jason didn't rush the visit and allowed my friend to ask as many questions as he needed to. They made the experience great and less stressful for my friend who had to get stitches removed. He wanted to give them 5 stars, BUT that parking situation and front desk experience is why a star was deducted.

YES, releasing patients is a thing, typically VERY rare in the industry due to the downstream impacts of abandoning patients, but 3 in 3 years, clearly not for this practice, and 2 PA's too in that time? One has to ask what the heck is going on over there?! Why are they having so much trouble keeping doctors AND patients? What is the common denominator? Say it with me....POOR MANAGEMENT! There is much more I have to say on this subject but need to refrain in this forum. I will say to anyone else in this situation, it isn't right, and don't be bullied with what appears to be iron clad paperwork...

Despite proper notice, I was charged a $100 cancellation fee for an appointment I never attended. The charge is unjustified and not a medical service fee. I was on short-term disability and needed to meet my physician to complete insurer-required paperwork. I've since received repeated past-due notices and payment demands for this disputed amount. The clinic also sent notice that they will not accept partial payments, raising concerns about unfair billing practices. When I raised my concerns in writing and advised that I intended to file a complaint, I received a text message from the office manager, Dr. Gruber, accusing me of being "threatening." As an African American woman, I found this characterizes my professionalism unfairly and offensively. I am requesting: Removal of the $100 charge. Written confirmation that no further billing or collection attempts will occur. I have pursued this through the BBB, the Department of Consumer Affairs, and other consumer protection channels. This complaint is to show their unfair billing, poor communication, and discriminatory treatment.
