Love the entire staff! My 9 yr old daughter had her appointment yesterday. She was put to sleep via…read moreanesthesia for her dental work. I was so scared/worried/anxious as she's never been put to sleep but the male nurse was so kind, patient, understanding, he made me feel so comfortable answering all my questions & explained everything to me & my daughter too. He included my daughter in the conversation really listening to & answering her concerns. He patiently reassured her he'd be by her side throughout it all, & he was! He told her everything that would be done before they did anything, which helped calm her. I felt my daughter was very safe in their hands. While I was waiting the nurse came out several times to give me a status update. She had 2 crowns, fillings & 1 tooth pulled it took 30 minutes & the nurse let me know how she was doing every step of the way. The dentist & anesthesiologist came out & met with me before the procedure. They let me know what work needed to be done, showed me the X-rays all before the procedure. I was included in & really appreciated that. I highly recommend this location to anyone who has a child that needs anesthesia for dental work! If you're terrified like I was, this is the place to go, they truly care about children, they're safety is number one. They take several steps to ensure your child can proceed with the anesthesia. The nurse & the anesthesiologist both took my daughters vitals, asked me many health questions. I cannot stress enough how much they value children's safety here! If your child ate during the timeframe they're not supposed to, or they're sick, they won't proceed with the appointment & will reschedule. For me, this was super reassuring & proof that kid's safety comes first & is what they value most of all. If any of my other kids ever need dental surgery with anesthesia, I will be going back here!

The wait time is ridiculous long for a child who doesn't understand that they have to be fasted. The staff is very nice, the doctor is nice. They just need to do better scheduling.

I did not have a problem with my PPO. Unlike Rai M. I was confused when she went to another…read moredentist, the insurance requirements were not the same.? The other dentist name was never mention. Why not? Should he or her be listed? The policies does not change, and I read every line before I sign my coverage. Your HR should have help you; instead of, depending on others to read your requirements. You did not call the insurance company personally? That would have gotta them straight, if you did not have a 6 month waiting period. When you discuss you events you could have voided your privacy rights.!!?? When you got Dr. Stewart straight was she informing you something important? Let's face it we do not want to hear the correct answer. When we are pain it is our neglect. Yes, you got the work done the same day. Let's face it again pain motivates some people to seek dental work. Of course, you have research the information and knew more than her, so you got her straight. Were you refused at another office for the same 6 month hold by your insurance company before you came to Royal Dental? That is why you knew more than the Doctor?!! I know working in customer relationship, customers will get you straight. Talk ugly to you. Well I guess I must fake it everyday because why fuss with customers. When you do not talk in a baby way or answer the correct way the customer wants to hear, they will tell you off. Nothing comes cheaply when it is your health.

First of all, let me say, I went to 8449 Gulf Fwy Ste C,…read moreHouston, TX 77017 in 2024 and agreed to get work done. The dentist assured me that due to my anxiety she would give me gas to relax me, well she must have not been expecting me to agree to services on that day because she started the work without the gas. She gave me a shot to numb my mouth, and it didn't take. I COULD FEEL EVERYTHING !!!!!! so I'm moaning in pain with my mouth opened, gesturing for her to STOP and she goes on I'm sorry, but I only have a little bit more to go, and I promise if I give you another shot it will hurt more than the drill. I was alone on the visit, so I had no support. I said what happened to the gas, and the assistant says, "OH IT'S TOO LATE FOR THAT! .... THAT TAKES ABOUT 30 minutes for before it works" and the dentist continued. After that visit my head and face hurt for about 2 -3 weeks, so I didn't want to return there for the additional work that I needed done. Because I felt like it was INTENTIONAL. So, every time they called me for my upcoming appointment I would reschedule. Until I started feeling pains and sensitivity to cold and hot, so come June 2025 I was called, and I accepted the appointment but asked if I could get another doctor and was told NO. I go in for the exam and talked about my hot/cold sensitive feelings and she goes ..."OH, I CAN FIX THAT AND I WON'T CHARGE YOU FOR IT " (why because it was due to the SHOTTY WORK FROM THE LAST TIME) then she tells me what i needed done and i asked how much ... the front desk person tells me she will call me with that report ... i never get the call so i called them and she say 1020.00, I NEVER GOT THAT WORK DONE BUT SHE PUT IT IN THE SYSTEM AS IF I HAD, SO NOW A COLLECTION AGENCY IS CONSTANTLY CALLING ME FOR PAYMENTS FOR WORK NOT DONE. I EXPLAINED THAT TO THEM AND THEY KEPT OVER TELLING ME AND ASKING THE SAME THINGS. SO, I CALLED THE OFFICE AND WAS AGIN ASSURED IT WOULD BE CORRECTED...HOWEVER HEAR WE ARE IN AUGUST 2025 AND I'M STILL GETTING THEM CALLS. AND WHEN I DECIDED TO TELL HER WHY I KEPT RESCEDULING ALLL MY PREVIOUS APPOINTMENTS SHE GONE SIGH OUT LOUD AS IF I'M ANNOYING HER?????????????? In closing I just want to say black people do feel pains we are not SUPERHUMANS even though we with stand so much WE NEED THE SAME AMOUNT OF PAIN RELIEF AS ANYBODY ELSE (there was plenty more numbing meds in that vile that was allotted to me that she just chose not to give me.)
