I brought my 2-year-old son in for a consultation, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed with our experience. As a parent, especially with a child this young, I expected the dentist to take the time to clearly explain what was going on, what treatment was being recommended, and why. Instead, the entire appointment felt extremely rushed. I was told that my son has multiple cavities and that five teeth may need to be pulled, which is obviously very concerning to hear about a 2-year-old. However, I did not feel that the dentist took the time to thoroughly explain the situation, discuss the different treatment options, or help me understand what would be best for my child. When I asked questions, I felt like I was met with an attitude rather than patience and reassurance. When you're discussing potentially extracting several teeth from such a young child, parents deserve clear explanations, compassion, and the opportunity to ask questions without feeling rushed. I left the consultation feeling uncomfortable, uninformed, and disappointed with the lack of communication and bedside manner. I will definitely be seeking a second opinion before making any decisions regarding my son's dental treatment. read more

Love the staff. Dr. Z is very nice and cares about the patients . My son needed crowns and she gave me an option for the ones that are white on the front and silver on the back . Which to me I didn't know that there where these types of crowns . Overall my sons front teeth don't look like he has crowns at all . read more

This is THE best pediatric dentist. Hands down. Their office is clean, the staff are the sweetest and Dr. Z? Absolutely amazing. Dr. Z caught a tongue tie in our child last year when everyone else dismissed our concerns and blamed his symptoms on other things. I wish we would have found Dr Z sooner and avoided all the useless medication other drs put him on, but nonetheless we are extremely glad we found her. The frenectomy procedure went well and now I have a little talking/eating machine. I honestly believe if Dr. Z did not catch this, my 2 year old would still be non verbal and a terrible eater. I loved it here. My husband and I joked about how much fun we had. First of let me start by saying that it's a beautiful and comfortable office. And one of the cleanest that I've ever seen. (I work in ortho from 2010-2015) their office is so modern and different you have to check it out. The only thing better than the office it ser is the customer service from making the appointment to the front staff and the best dental assistants ever! I felt like it was all about my child. I was really shocked today when I took my granddaughter to see Dr. Z. This is our first time where I felt our skin color and medicaid really made a difference. Two other children came in why we were being seen by the doctor she stop seeing my granddaughter took care of them knocked them out really fast and apologize for the wait. Yet we had to wait for her to take care of those children. Their mother was out in the car Dr. Z started back on my granddaughter then left my granddaughter again to talk to their mother when she came back into the office. All good everyone still polite she finishes the procedure on my granddaughter and says OK you're all done. The other children received gift bags and I know their children and all this over a toothbrush but my granddaughter wanted to know why she didn't get to have a gift bag. I asked the doctor and the doctor did offer us a bag but while saying your insurance doesn't cover getting a bag. Then she stated she was doing this service free and again it doesn't cover getting a gift bag. But don't you bill Medicaid are you not getting paid. Dr. Z then proceed to give my granddaughter a less than a dollar store quality toothbrush in clear plastic wrap while telling us this is what you get for free and that was it. The tone Dr. Z took with me was like it's free what do you expect because you're on Medicaid. But did it with a smile bless your heart. I feel you just don't blatantly treat children differently because of social economics color religion gender whatever for that reason we will not be going back. Which truly saddens me. read more

I've been taking my kids to Castle which I love but are always busy so I decided to take my kids to Z Pediatric, they said I had to pay $50 something dollars up front in case my insurance doesn't pay which is crazy because Castle has never done that and I've had the same insurance for years....... anyways I paid. Now they are billing me for $78??! They just looked at his mouth!!! No service was done to him I don't have the wrong office! I already paid the collection company...... will never go there again and told everyone I know about my bad experience. This is by far the Best experiance Ive ever had in my life with a dentist. If you happen to need a Pediatric Dentist and are reading this review then you must pick up the phone and make the appt for your child, that will be the best move you've made today. I had a very big problem that began around Febuary 22, and no clue on a solution. The lil one (8 yrs) had an abcess on the right upper gum from a decayed tooth as well as another decayed tooth on the opposite side. I took her to a local dentist for an immidiate assesment. They were kind, caring and were able to get a couple of x-rays. They stated the 2 teeth needed to come out ASAP and provided me with a very reasonable quote. I then made an appt with a dentist on her insurance plan. A week later at that appt they were unable to get any x-rays and handed me a card for another Pediatric dentist . I did not make the appt with the next dentist who could see her the next day as he did not have any openings to do the work for at least a month. I decided to go with the 1st dentist since she seemed comfortable with them. We arrived at the appt but after about 30-45 minutes they had to give up there was no way she was laying back in the chair! Again we were given a card for another Pediatric Dentist and this one could put her out for the procedure. I became ill and lost a couple more weeks and last Friday she began complaining with pain on the other side and Monday morning I recived a text from her teacher asking me if she was ok because her face was swollen! I went to school signed her out, went back home and made the call to Z Pediatric Dentist and my only hope was to get an appt in order to schdule a date to put her in a sleepy state, get the decayed teeth out before things got worse. After I advised the receptionist of our situation she placed me on hold and when they picked back up it was Dr. Z speaking to me and asking if I could bring her right then so she could see exactly what she would be working with and how much infection there was, I agreed. I could barely speak, I was thrown off Gaurd as Ive never had any doctor stop whatever they were doing to speak to me and make me feel that I, my lil one and our situation was just as important to her as it was to me, Ive never even got a nurse on the line without leaving a message and waiting on a reuturn call. I have only met one person in my life that I knew had to have been touched directly by God and now I have met two more, Dr. Z and staff were then added to the list, and for those who dont belive then these people have magic spells and do what others arnt able to do. From the time we walked in it was like I was dreaming, my lil one who would'nt let anyone take x-rays or get a good look in her mouth was now agreeing to let Dr. Z take out her sick tooth right then and without going to sleep and agreeing to return in 2 days to do it all again! She followed thru and is recovering nicely and with out the fear of the dentist. Dr. Z is a true blessing to this world! read more

I was very disappointed with our first (and last) visit. I saw the reviews on here and was hopeful, but when we went in for our appointment it seemed like the dentist wasn't interested in being there (was on her phone, slowly walking to meet us and returned to her phone right after we were done). Anyways the main point that upsets me is, I have an 11 month old with 5 teeth and she never told us what she was doing and she shoved a qtip with fluoride in his mouth. I had my back turned to the hygienist and didn't see it until it was too late to ask "what is that!?". I feel like anything that goes into our baby/child's body should be asked and discussed and not just assumed it was okay. What if he has allergies to ingredients?! I called the office after the visit to tell them I didn't appreciate that and they need to ask and talk with the parent before doing such. It didn't seem like they took it seriously. read more

I was not only needing a new dentist for my kids but I also had a bit of an emergency needing my son's teeth looked at. He was hit in the face with a ball and I wanted to make sure no long term damage was done. I was able to book an appointment online the day before. The dentist was actually not going to be there at the time I picked but I did receive a call informing me of this and I was able to schedule it just one hour later. They were very nice and explained everything. It was also pretty fast. I wanted to say bonus points for the TV that is placed right above the chair where his teeth were being checked. I really think that helped distract him from the examination of his teeth. I was extremely pleased and can't wait to bring him back for a regular check up. read more
