I could not recommend this place more, if you want to get off the beaten path a bit - this was one of the highlights of our cruise. I agree with everyone that the park itself is quite small - I'd say just for the park itself, it would be worth *either* the half-hour-ish trek from the cruise port, *or* the price to get in, but not both. The park itself consists of a small aquarium of interesting fish in tanks, one large aquarium of a lot of bigger fish in a big tank, a viewing area where you can see out through portholes into the open ocean, some turtles swimming around in a tank, and *so* many iguanas, just, everywhere you walk. Also, notably, a few times a day, a sea lion demonstration, which is a million times cooler than the ones at bigger parks, because the sea lion is like 3 feet away, and they bring audience members (of which, in our case, there were like 6 total including us!) up to help with the show. Was kinda worth it just for that. But, in addition to all that, they also have add-ons, that are a bit pricey, but I would say likely all worth it. We only had time for one, the snuba, which was our first time snuba-ing, and I doubt there's a better place on the whole planet to do it, nor could we possibly have had better instructors. My wife is a bit nervous in open water, and he was a great help. I've been swimming since before I could remember, and within a few minutes, swimming with the snuba gear felt just like swimming - and there were literally fish just everywhere, all shapes and sizes. Cause the place is so small and out of the way, the snuba outing was just us, too, which was pretty awesome. It's also next to Coki Beach, which, yes, is a pretty amazingly fantastic beach for snorkeling. Only complaint: if you don't have a car, you have to take a taxi there, which is fine - then you have to take a taxi *back*, which was a bit of a racket. Our taxi driver back, dropped off someone else in completely the wrong direction first. It took us literally over an hour to get back, and we almost missed our boat, despite having given ourselves what we thought was way more time than we needed. That's not really Coral World's fault directly, though, but it should be kept in mind. read more

This place is so awesome!!! I love that it is situated right next to Coki Beach! So you can spend the day at both place! I highly recommend this smaller size aquarium. There are showers and restrooms. So if you decide to swim with the sharks, sea turtles, go under water to check out fishes it's totally comfortable when you get out! We really enjoy turtle talk, learned so much about this species. I wanted to swim with the turtles but my son wasn't tall enough. Kids have to be at least 4ft 8 inches. We also had so much fun feeding the lorikeets! They are super friendly and when the nectar is in your hand they will definitely come by to drink some!! My son love the experience! We didn't stick around to see the sea lions show. Because we went to the coki beach right after. But I would say if you come to St. Thomas you should stop in! Admission price isn't too expensive and you are supporting a great learning experience and habitant for a lot of wonderful creatures :) ps-coupons for admission is usually in the travel guide magaZines you can get at the resort or hotel. The biggest thing we came for was the dolphin swim. The trainer tried but the dolphin just didn't want to interact. There really wasn't much experience to it other than hopping in the water and seeing the dolphin swim past. The trainer tried to get the dolphin to do tricks but just couldn't get it to do hardly any. She even called for another dolphin to try and get it to interact and didn't have any luck. Very disappointing experience and waste of money. The underwater viewing of the fish habitat was neat. That's really about it. read more

Overcharged! Ripoff! Beware! My family and I flew to St.Thomas to do the sea lion encounter for my daughters 6th birthday. It is extremely overpriced but I knew my daughter would love it. My husband, mother, my 3 kids (7,6 and 3) and myself all book the excursion (well over $600) we were told we did not need a ticket for my 3 month old daughter because she's 3 months old! We show up on the day of the encounter and check in with no problem. We meet "the trainer" who leaves our group and tells some check-in lady that the baby needs a ticket for the encounter. My 3 month old daughter. We were then told we needed to purchase a $75 ticket so my 3 month old daughter can attend. I said that's crazy - she's 3 months old and doesn't even need an admissions ticket. They insisted we purchase her a ticket or one of us had to stay back. I said fine please refund my ticket and I'll stay with the baby. They said "sorry no refunds" It was shocking and crazy. So we were forced to buy her a ticket. Then during the encounter the trainer said we can't have any "loose" objects so we were not permitted to take photos. However, there is an "intern" who takes photos which you can purchase for $100! Just be aware they will nickel and dime you. I'm not convinced they will not charge a fetus an admission ticket if you show up pregnant. It's crazy. I don't leave reviews ever but this was nuts. Oh my gosh!! We did both the dolphin trek and sea lion swim.... The trek did not even compare to the sea lion swim! The trek was pretty cool and neat to see the dolphins under water but I'd recommend just doing an interaction with them to see them more up close. Still worth the experience! Anyways- the sea lion swim was the highlight of our trip. The trainers were wonderful and informative. The sea lions were the CUTEST and SMARTEST ever!! Okay, this place is kind of cheesy and small and a little rough around the edges but I love it. Coral World is definitely worth a visit. They have a water tank where you can touch sea urchins and starfishes and sea cucumbers, a stingray display, and what seems a whole family of hilarious iguanas all over the place just minding their business. You can pay for extras like swim with a sea turtle, sea lion, sea trek, snuba, etc. I wish I did these but I was with my elderly mother. But the true gem of this place is the awesome observatory overlooking the ocean. You get an incredible view and when you walk downstairs to the observatory 20 feet below the sea, you get another incredible view of the ocean floor. I was astonished by the variety of sea life underwater. My mother and I were both entranced and delighted by the different fishes and sea life. Other highlights of the park were of course the awesome iguanas and the short wildlife trek in the back where you can see more iguanas and tortoises. A must visit! read more

My husband and I spent a full-day at Coral World while we were on St. Thomas. Although the park is relatively small and could be completely viewed in 3hrs, the real magic of the experience are the add-ons. My husband and I did the Sea Lion Swim and Dolphin Moment, and also watched every animal feeding between the 2 scheduled events. The Sea Lion Swim was the highlight of our entire vacation. It is the most unique experience that is simply indescribable. The Dolphin Moment was also nice, but I wish that we had done the Swim instead of the Moment. I think the Moment is good for younger kids or older adults. The Swim is definitely more involved and a better overall experience. Although both the Swim & Moment are listed as 1 hour adventures, the Swim is truly an hour while the Moment is more like a 30 minute hello. We still had a great time, but in hindsight, I think we would have preferred the Dolphin Swim. All of the trainers were great. They answered any questions that we had and you can tell how much they love the animals they work with. We had a great day, and will definitely be going back (probably to swim with the sea lions!) if we return to St. Thomas. read more

We had a great time at Coral World. It was just 2 of us, no kids but our daughter would have loved it too. We did the Sea Trek and would recommend it. While at first I was timid of the idea of wearing the 70# helmet under water around random Sea life, the adventure was super safe and the guys running it were amazing. They made sure to find some wildlife and give us a change to hold it. They take lots of pictures and videos and you have a chance to purchase them all at the end. We do wish we had done more in the dolphin area, But we learned so much from Thomas just by standing by and watching them. read more

What a spectacular experience! We booked the Dolphin Splash & Swim and boy, this experience did not disappoint. It was definitely worth every penny. This place was one of the best parts of my trip to Virgin Islands. This is a very interactive event - you will be in the water and will have one on one interaction with a sweet dolphin. The trainer was excellent; she gave very clear and concise instructions and constantly stopped to make sure she could answer questions we might have. It was also recommended that we try the Sea Lion experience, so try that one also if you have the time. All of the staff was friendly and personable. Book this experience! Coral World has a lot going for it. There are a lot of interesting exhibits and "experiences" available. We did the general admission only, and could only walk around the park. We saw some Macaws and talked with the staff member who was feeding them, she was very nice and knowledgeable. We saw plenty of turtles, birds, and lizards going around the park. The fish exhibit was a little bit lacking but it's understandable due to covid. We saw the Dolphin show (free 20 minute show) which was a highlight of the experience. Would go back! read more

Even after I chickened out my daughters did the Sea Trek on 10/31 and the shark tank on 10/30. We missed our initial excursion time on 10/30 but the park staff was wonderful enough to set us up with another excursion at a later time so we didn't lose our money. The park is interesting and moderately priced if you don't buy 'experiences'. COVID has taken away some of the freebie activities like feeding the sting rays. Our biggest problem was trying to find activities. The map did not label the sites as where the feeding activities were located. Even the staff in the park didn't know where to find things when we found one to ask. Food and beverages are very expensive but we expected that. A side thought. The park is located at Coki Beach. Many of the visitors were spending the day at the beach. Be prepared for some beach goers in scantily clad outfits. The sight of 350 lb women in the tiniest thong bikinis bending over to see the animals, will be burned in our brains forever. Not the park's fault of course, but just be prepared. read more

My experience here was AMAZING! I highly recommend this place- it's an ALL ages friendly! There are so many different activities and tours you can do. The staff / trainers are extremely nice and knowledgeable. I had SO many questions and impressively had them all answered very detailed! Sunny took my reservation and was very kind from the beginning. Kevin the manager was also very friendly, and made the experience great! The trainers were very professional and friendly, and you can tell the passion they have for the sea life and that was very important to me. It felt like they were having so much fun with what they were doing that their "job" wasn't really a job! (That's how you know someone loves their job!!!) I fell in love with the whole environment! So much so, that I started asking around if I could also work or volunteer here! Workers and volunteers are so nice. I hear Wednesday's the park gets pretty packed due to the Disney cruise ship coming in this day. We went on a Thursday and were nearly the only ones there. Highly recommend the sea lion swim. My 8 year old loved it. At the end of the activity, there's a board to pin a tip/ donation. I would highly recommend stopping by this aquarium/park. Nestled off to the side of Coki beach welcoming center is where you will find the entrance-way. We hopped the local bus which took us here, this is not close to the port and is probably about 20 or so minutes away. A Coki beach employee followed by a large Iguana (we will call him Jub-Jub) showed us the way back to the park. At first it was a little scary being we were new to the area and did not know where this park was located as we had to walk a little bit. The guy at the ticket booth was very nice and explained to us where we will be meeting for the Turtle Encounter. Next stop was to the ticket scanner to put our wristbands on us. We had some time to wonder around before we had to meet up at the check in area. We were told that they were going to be feeling the various fish in the large aquarium tank followed by the morning feeding in the shark tank. We made our way over to the area that we thought we had to go to, except either he didn't explained it correctly or we were too excited because we missed the stairs to where the aquarium was located. Instead, we took some other stairs that took us to the Tropical Nature Trail where we found a desert turtle habitat that had some humping turtles (amusing). We also found a duck pond filled with cute little ducklings. The stingray lagoon was neat to watch them swim around; a couple of them at different times would slap their wings against the wall of the pool hoping for a handout of fish from us. They also had a bird area where lorikeets are, I am too chicken to be around birds that fly so we stayed way away from that area. We finally found the aquarium, which were down a very different set of stairs. We made it just in time to watch the all the beautiful fish come out to be fed by the marine trainer. There was so much to see in this big tank (all different color and shaped fish, lobsters, stingrays, sharks). After the feeding was over, we were told that the sharks were going to be fed as well in the shark lagoon. We made our way over there to watch that as well. The staff is very knowledgeable while the marine trainer was getting into the lagoon. Unfortunately, we could not stay through the whole feeding, as we had to make our way over to the turtle meet up area to check in. Yes, as a surprise from Minh we got to swim with the sea turtles. Something that I have always wanted to do. After we checked in, we were told to wait for our marine trainer to go over instructions. She did not keep us waiting for long; Maggie was our instructor and was just as sweet as pie. First thing was getting us crocs (yes those ugly shoes and I can just say they are not as comfortable as everyone says they are). We then had to sign a waiver then she talked about the different turtles, their habitat, and what to expect when we get into their lagoon. After all was said and done, we were walking with two other people to the turtle area. I was so glad we did not have to wear a wet suit, entering into the water was cold at first but Maggie promised us it would get warmer as we stood there. There were two big beautiful 100-pound turtles swimming around as we walked into their world. As instructed, we stood without back again the sea wall as Maggie introduced us to the two turtles whose names I totally forgot. We got to scratch their shells (they love that) and under their arms. Taking photos of these amazing reptiles was so much fun as they are total hams for the camera. We had more than enough time in the lagoon (probably around 20-25 minutes) which was nice. This park is a lot smaller and better-kept then sea world, as we could see that all the marine and animal life habitats were kept clean. There was no performing killer whales or sea lions playing the trumpet. Instead these animals are rescued and either rehabilitated and placed back into their normal habitat or if they are badly injured then they will keep them there and have them live as normal as a life as they can for them. read more

Absolutely awesome place! There's only two places in the world that you can swim with the sea lions one is here in Saint Thomas at our world and the other one is in Mexico. I know that they just got the dolphin so everybody's really excited about that but seeing as how you can kind of do that anywhere we went ahead and did the sea lion adventure swim and it was very well worth it! I highly recommend if you were in the area to book this before you book anything else at coral world! read more

This is a tough review to make because we actually had a great time. We came for the sea lion swim which was a blast and the trainer and sea lion were rad. The downside is you can't bring in a camera, which I understand to protect the sea lion and also to make money from taking photos of you. The photos are available for purchase in the gift shop. The photos were good, not great, we wanted them because it is probably a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us and we wanted to keep the memory. The photos weren't great mainly because of the ugly background. When we swam it was in an awful colored motel pool-sized tub. You have to crop the pictures down a bunch and edit the color of the water to make the photos presentable. Still, I didn't mind that we have to pay for pics until we heard the price tag! $60! For a handle of good pics and a lot of not-so-good pics of us in an ugly bathtub. I would of like to have paid for one or two pics, but the worker dispassionately said it is all or nothing... which is a ripoff and they know it. They are preying on the fact that you can't take your own pics and you will really want pics of the amazing experience that you may never do again. Do what the coki dive center does next door and let us choose between numerous photo package options! News Flash customers want CHOICES! read more

Best family attraction in the Virgin Islands and one of the most fun hands-on animal encounters zoo I've ever visited. Come nose to nose with the perennial iguana, pet baby sharks, feed the stingrays (my favorite!) and say hello to the rescued sea turtles. Admire all sorts of funny looking fish and beautiful corals from the Caribbean's only 15 feet underwater and 100 feet offshore observatory tower. When we went there this passed July there was some construction going on but that didn't diminish the magnificent ocean views. Most popular animal presentations and feedings: -Sharks at 10 AM and 1 PM; -Stingray at 10:40 AM and 1:30 PM. This was my first "feed a 80 lbs hungry stingray" experience...loved it! They give you few dozens little fishes, you wait for the stingrays to come to the wall, then you GRAB one by the "head", pull it up few inches and then shove a fish inside its mouth! ...shoving is the key part...they're are a little clumsy, frequently the fish just drops into the pool. The problem is all this time they're flapping their wings splashing you with water and some are fighting each other for the best feeding spot. You repeat the process for about 15 minutes. -Sea lions at 11:20 AM and 2 PM. Admission to the park is $19 adults, $10 child. The sea lion swim was awesome and my family of 7 loved it. The trainers were amazing and so informative. That part of the experience I highly recommend! I was however incredibly disappointed in the fact that after over 182 per person you had to purchase pictures. It is understandable that it is a way to make money for the park BUT they won't sell you the pictures that you want. Nor are they printed out for you. You have to buy the file of ALL of them for what I consider a ridiculous amount! That, to me , was not a good way to generate revenue for the park at all. read more

This is a review for the SNUBA experience. It was excellent! We didn't know what to expect, as none of us are huge water lovers, but we and our kids (9 and 12) absolutely loved being underwater with the freedom to roam around and swim up to 20 feet below the surface. Our guide, Matt, was thorough, gentle and competent and gave us a lot of confidence. I'd say once we got adjusted to the ear popping trick as well as how to actually get and stay at deeper levels it was so calm, and so nice to be swimming among the fish and coral and sea life without having to surface for air. The kids loved it. We can't wait to do it again! read more

I love this place. It was a bit hard to find, but once we did, I couldn't have been happier. I was dying to swim with the Sea Lions. We got lucky and on the day we were there (even thought there was a cruise ship at the port) this place was empty. My daughter & I ended up getting a private swim with the sea lions. It was worth every penny. The trainer was friendly and taught us so much! The sea lions were a blast. The park is beautifully kept, staff was very friendly. The iguanas just walk up to you while you are sitting there eating. Drinks were cheap. Do not miss out on this place while visiting St. Thomas. read more

What an awesome aquarium. You can't beat having an outdoor and indoor aquarium in paradise! The turtles were funny b/c they would swim around and hit the side of the tank, trying to get out of their tank! They also have educational signs about how people bring them rescue turtles and they let them loose in a special cove to hopefully increase their chances of survival. It was also real cool to have a touch tidepool and lorikeet enclosure out in the sunshine. If you start to overheat, there's another indoor part where they have Oscar the Sea Lion do shows. He does the typical sea lion antics (roll on his back, snort, stand on his fins) and he's a pretty good catch. They also have a really neat structure that goes underwater and you can see the fish out in their natural habitat. (Plus the pier there has the best view, take home some amazing photos!) My favorite shot actually ended up being of the random iguanas running around everywhere. Definitely worth the trip and the entrance fee. read more

They explained how to react with the sea loin, what to expect, all with a smile and very personal. We where the only customers in the sea lion area. We took over 100 photos with there photographer, great photos! Ask yourself this... when did u ever feel that you where a star in a sea lion show? We did.... this was a once in a lifetime experience. Sadly, I did the moment with the dolphin and didn't like the experience. I had to share my experience with another group of five. I was able to pet the dolphin and maybe do three more tricks. Guess I was expecting having the dolphin time to myself. Instead we all shared one platform with one dolphin and did the same tricks ( rub the dolphin belly, clap your hands and feed him two fish). The short experience was also pricey. Aaaaand, the pictures were so bad I didn't purchase any. The digital ones were $40 and pick best 3 in a framed book were $75. There was about 9 to choose from and maybe one I looked at the camera. All other ones were from upstairs and weird angle, I couldn't tell it me!!' Who takes dolphin pictures from behind?! In summary, I am not discouraging anyone not to do it. This was my experience and hopefully yours is much better! read more

Coral World is a marine park on St Thomas in the Virgin Islands. They have activities like Sea Trek, a helmet dive that anyone can do and SNUBA which you can do without being scuba certified. They have animal encounters with sharks, turtles and sea lions. There is also an underwater observatory tower. It takes you 100 feet off shore and 15 feet down under the water. My daughter couldn't stop talking about the fact that she got to hug a sea lion. The staff was wonderful and really helped with the interactions. It was the highlight of our trip. My husband and I have been snuba diving several times, once in Hawaii on our honeymoon, and once in Cozumel. This was the first time for our daughters, and we were pleased that it was so amazing. It blew Cozumel away! So much beautiful coral and sea life. Our scuba guide was very professional and helpful. The only thing I would recommend is to put the turtles in a bigger tank. My daughters were a little sad that their tank was so extremely small and they kept running into the sides of the walls trying to get out. Other than that it was an awesome experience.
