Takeout review only: Got takeout via SkipTheDishes. Ordered the western omelette which came with potatoes, fruit and toast. Asked for lightly toasted and Unbuttered bread which was honoured. Potatoes and omelette were delicious, a little cold however. Fruit was fresh. Presentation of the meal did not look great however I'm sure this would be different when dining in.

GiGi's Salad with a side of Cream of Zucchini Soup - to go.

GREAT restaurant, my only complaint is that they aren't open for dinner! When I first looked at their menu online (http://www.chezcora.com/our-menu) I assumed the pictures were for show... well they aren't, Cora's really does cut and display your fruit like an edible arrangement, it was almost too pretty to eat! Everything on the menu is delicious, you can't go wrong! Today I ordered the GiGi's Salad with a side of Cream of Zucchini Soup - to go. The description of the salad is... With chicken salad, ham, hard boiled egg, bruschetta toping, cucumbers and Cheddar; served with toasted Ciabatta bread... Well I didn't get the bread but they did give me a side of soup, so I won't complain! They offer you salad dressing with the salad but really if you mix it all up the salad dresses itself (there is enough dressing in the chicken salad and bruschetta). As you can see by my other pictures, I just can't stay away from Cora's, it's my favorite!

If they care so much about presentation, why is the wall art so terrible? Oh, I know, "it's supposed to suck."

The decor is ugly. The food is okay. It's well presented and almost every dish comes with fresh fruit. I ordered my poached egg runny but it was cooked medium. The potatoes were okay, pretty standard. The portions are gigantic. I think it's overpriced.

Great place for breakfast! I always get something traditional, like bacon, ham and eggs. I really wish they had gluten free waffles!

Good food. Generally good service but I've had a couple not so gracious waitresses too. A little expensive.

Love breakfast at Cora's! The only problem is getting in on a weekend as they're busy!

Service is extremely slow. Took over 20 min to have a waitress to come and take our order. Food was good.

Claudine's is THE gem of Fredericton and consider yourself a lottery winner if you live within an hour. We came for lunch on a week day and if you are too, I strongly recommend taking their suggestion of a reservation. It was packed and we saw people pour in and subsequently disappointed. Once we took a bite, we tasted why. My husband got the seafood fettucine with lobster upgrade and I ordered the lobster benedict and they were both next level heavenly. All seafood used was at the peak of freshness and the flavors well balanced (referring to the pasta dish). It wasn't inexpensive even after converting back to US dollars but it was worth every penny. I noticed a lot of people lingering without ordering more which I thought was rude but maybe it's a cultural thing. Surprisingly, service was quick, the wait for entrees not bad considering how busy they were (lots of big parties) and the staff's passion for what they do is palpable. It may not be in the center of everything but I think not being in the tourist trap area is the ticket, do not miss this epicurean delight if you are visiting Fredericton!

Considering that it was almost their closing time, they were still EXTREMELY accommodating which I'm very grateful for. Super friendly people with smiles across their faces! The waitress also came to check on us many times to ensure everything was okay and if we had any questions. She pointed out that the serving size of each dish would be pretty big- which was a nice to know! The restaurant itself was very big with lots of comfortable seating- also very clean! But... sadly.. I go to restaurants for the quality of the food and I must say, the food was not great. Before heading into the restaurant, we didn't know what to expect with the restaurant being named "Diplomat". We thought it would be a western cuisine. But boy do we love a good surprise. After we got seated and took a glimpse of the menu, it was indeed a Chinese-Canadian style restaurant. LOL. I will give some grace as ik that these types of restaurants will not be authentic by any means as it caters towards the western/Canadian flavours. The brown noodles were flavourless (even when mixed and paired with the sweet and sour chicken). The Singaporean noodles had a bit more flavour but no kick to it (usually has a hint of spice). And the chicken was mainly sweet, not sour...
