Cleanly is great! I used this service because I really had no time because I was moving and I really had to do something about my laundry. Cleanly picked it up, cleaned all of my laundry (more than 30 pounds) and delivered it all folded neatly and everything as so fast and easy! Very impressed. Good Service ..."Lost" Socks. So, this is kind of a long story. I'm constantly working, so I decided to try to use a laundry service to get back some of my free time. Bad idea, it turns out, at least in choosing Corbett Cleaners. Amy is a nice lady, although their prices are a little steep. Ok, I think ... I'm sure if I pay a little extra, I'll get better service. Yes ... and no. Don't get me wrong. In terms of folding, they're top notch. Although I suppose I would be pretty good at folding clothes if I had operated a laundry service for 20 years as well. So I get back my clothes and low and behold my favorite pair of socks are missing. Missing socks, yeah no big deal, right? Wrong. I made the choice mistake of replacing all of my socks with Stance socks and the missing pair is the crown jewel of my collection. Beautiful thick sock with intricate stitching ~$30. Needless to say, I'm bummed. But this place is convenient and I decide to give them a second chance. Once again, a mistake. This time one of my fiancée's $50 smart wool socks that I bought her for X-mas goes missing ... I really need to stop spending so much money on socks ... I know. Not only that, but there is another pair missing and one of her stance socks. Her keen eyes glance around the shop, and what do they spy? Her socks laying on a pile of "someone else's" laundry. Uh oh. And the other missing sock. But not the Smart Wool one. Double bummer. On top of that, "nice" Amy starts screaming at my fiancée when she suggests we withhold payment until they find her missing sock. Part of me was hoping that going in there I would get a discount for my favorite pair of socks gone missing, instead lost more expensive socks. Moral of the story ... If you're looking to overpay for dry cleaning and have your nicest socks coincidentally get "lost", this is the place for you. Will give one extra star for the nice folding though. read more

I was surprised to see all of the 4 or 5 star reviews for this place. I took some shirts here on a Friday and was a little taken aback that they wouldn't be ready until Tuesday afternoon. Whatever, I'm easy going. I didn't need my dress shirts until Thursday anyway. They were very nice. I was halfway to the their place when I realized I had left my pick-up ticket at home. They found my clothes anyway. Kudos for that. When I dropped off the shirts I didn't inquire about the price. I've never been to a dry cleaner that charged more than $2 per shirt. I just assumed this place would be in the same ballpark. So I was a little startled that my total came to $28 ($4 per shirt). In short, the service here was friendly. I feel kinda bad giving a negative review. Basically, I've experienced the same service for half the cost elsewhere. I probably won't be returning. :( read more

And she's always friendly, even when I'm getting there just before closing or when I'm running late getting home before she drops my stuff off. - They deliver. I moved from twin peaks over a year ago, yet I won't change my cleaner, especially upon discovering Amy delivers. Why can't all aspects of life be this easy. - Quality is exceptional. I have been going to Corbett Cleaners for 4 years. Amy is like family. She knows me by name (mostly by last name, which I find endearing because my aunt does the same crazy thing). Amy knows every garment I own. I swear this. She can tell you when I've gotten something new, and will tell me when it's time to replace something old. A true fashion bellweather. I have never. NEVER. NEVER. had a problem with any service here. I have had other dry cleaners ruin, lose, stain, burn and do god knows what else to my clothing. My garments come back from Amy better than from the store where I bought them The prices are completely reasonable, and when I moved out of the hood, Amy and I deepend our relationship: she now picks up and drops off at my new place. Dry cleaning is expensive in San Francisco. Most places are friendly (as is Corbett Cleaners) and close to your home. However, I don't know a lot of dry cleaners that make the effort to know ALL of their neighbors - coupled with the fact that my whole building goes to her for our dry cleaning! I have a dry cleaner right next door to me on Market. I also have a wash and fold place about half a block around the corner. I ignore both of these places and go straight to Amy for all my laundry and dry cleaning! Amy is super friendly and helpful. I've had buttons fixed without noticing. She also knows exactly how I like my shirts pressed. My roommate now takes all his stuff there too. She knows us both by our first names. I've been going here for I think 18 years or so. I've seen their kids grow up...scary. They are so nice and do a great job. Amy is really sweet and remembers everyone. She does great alterations. This place is a breath of fresh air with so many horrible dry cleaners out there. Amy is friendly and helpful and if you give her a call before 5pm, she'll pickup or delivery your dry cleaning for you. My clothes come back nearly perfect every time and sometimes they'll even repair a missing button. Like most cleaners, they are a little hard on the buttons and I've had a few shirts come back with broken or missing buttons. But when I've mentioned it to Amy, she fixes them without charging anything. I've sent everything from leather, to comforters, to wedding dresses here and they all come back in fantastic condition. Amy is very nice and always remembers how I like my shirts, pants, etc cleaned. The prices are very reasonable - they will take credit cards but cash is KING, of course... I don't tend to carry a lot of cash on me and use cards for everything (Amy doesn't really like - fees, she says) it is the one place I actually do take my checkbook. I've had a couple of times where I've had to take items back to be re-cleaned or have a button that was smashed (by the iron?) re-sewn but from a convenience standpoint it's very quick and easy - in-and-out in a flash. I think they do same-day cleaning if items are dropped off early enough. I've considered other cleaners but keep going back to Amy and Corbett Cleaners because the service is great and it's right in my 'hood. read more

As just about everyone has noted, Amy is very personable and remembers names easily. I think by the second visit, she called me by my name. I don't need the plastic wrap on my clothing and so now she keeps my clothing without the plastic. I have had great service with both dry cleaning and tailoring. Stains have come out that I never thought from previous dry cleaning experiences would come out. She has tailored exactly as we had agreed. I did have to convince her that I wanted one dress that short... "But that would be a shirt!" she teased me. Length was perfect though.... I don't like hems to be too close to the knee. I have this weird but strong belief that my knees aren't so lovely as my thighs or calves. Oh, and I think a pair of pants I had was misplaced or I lost the ticket. I was looking everywhere, including the gym and yoga studio I go to. She was my last stop before I was about to pay another $100 for those pants. When I asked her if she by chance had them, she said yes and they were ready a couple days later. Corbett Cleaners is right around the corner from where I live though I didn't notice it for the first few months I was living in the neighborhood. I went to a couple of other places on 18th Street but wasn't as happy as with Amy's service, which is a good thing since she is much closer to my home. One less hill to walk up! I've only used Corbett Cleaners for a short while and short it'll be. I asked the lady there to sew on some embroider patches onto my jacket and it looked like some novice had done it, she did it again and it looked better, but now one is coming off. I also had a really nice Oktoberfest Munich shirt with fest patches on it dry cleaned there, one of those was ripped and is now coming off. Done!! read more

The lady who works here said it couldn't have happened during dry cleaning so it must have been like that already - wrong. And best of all, she straight up lost my shirt! I should start by saying that I never give bad Yelp reviews but after what happened today I would give this place 0 stars if I could. First, we have been coming here for 3 1/2 years since we moved to the neighborhood. I wouldn't say it's the best dry cleaners I've ever used but Amy was always friendly and it got to where I actually looked forward to seeing her on Saturday's for our chats. All that changed today. The last time I was in I brought her my two favorite silk shirts to be cleaned. Unfortunately they both came back with bleach spots and are ruined. I didn't notice, however, until I went to wear them. I set them aside and planned to bring them in to show Amy when I brought our clothes in today. I know that they outsource their dry cleaning so thought she should see what had happened. However, when I brought them in she sniffed them and told me I had worn them and that the spots came from me not them. I was shocked and assured her that I had not worn them but simply tried them on then took them off when I noticed the spots. She argued with me and absolutely refused to admit that the spots had come from them and then she flat out told me I was lying. I have never received such terrible service, especially from someone that I have come to know over 3 1/2 years. Needless to say I will NEVER bring any clothes back here and I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Amy started yelling at me lol after I suggested she looked for my clothes she lost after visibility pointing out that some of my missing items were on SOMEONE else's laundry bag. Do not come here for wash and fold. I had been a return customer and each time there has been missing items. I suggested to hold off on payment for the missing item that cost more than the service and was brand spanking new! That I had time to wait for her to look. I was heartbroken. Instead of looking she starts yelling ! Mind you I'm also 8 months pregnant! She couldn't help her self! The worse customer experience I have ever experienced. I paid for the service I had my money out the whole time. I am regretting it though I feel so disrespected by someone who owns a business. She is clearly disorganized. I found a sock of mine in the floor after she had said I lost it and didn't bring the pair. She picked up the pother pair on HeR floor. I started using Corbett cleaners because they are near my house, but after two months I am furious with the service they have provided. To start, the owner (Amy) hassles me every time I pay without cash, who uses cash these days? And then one day I noticed that she increased the pricing on me without notice. I asked if pricing had gone up and her response was that I always pay with credit card so she is adding a 10 cents to every item. Very unprofessional, at least tell me that you are doing so. Also, I have my work shirts laundered, pressed and starched. At first the quality was decent. My shirts would come out slightly wrinkled in spots, but it wasn't a big deal. One day I noticed that the buttons on all my white shirts were destroyed and I asked her what happened and if she could fix them. She implied that it was not the cleaners fault and that the shirts were low quality. How rude! I've used many other cleaners and never had this problem. There are too many good cleaners in SF for anyone to put up with the low quality, high cost and unprofessional attitude from this establishment. read more

I love this. I chose them because they were the only place that did pick-up and delivery laundry and answered there phone, but I'm happy with them. They came and picked up 2 trash bags of laundry, and came back to my door 2 days later with everything that needed to be drycleaned separated out and drycleaned, everything with stains magically stain-free and it all nicely folded and clean. That was 2 suit jackets, 3 pairs of business slacks, 3 lace tops, 2 delicate skirts drycleaned and a whole lot of assorted jeans, buttondown tops, tanks, socks, & whatever for $50. Usually it's cheaper, and they've worked some miracles on stains. And the most I had to do was throw it in a bag and make 2 phone calls. I'm such a better dresser now. read more

This cleaner might be good for durable items like sweaters and coats, or things that don't require too much sophistication, like basic shirts. And yes, she's friendly and it's cheap. But great dry cleaning? No. I took three silk shirts there, and each came back with MORE stains--the sweat outline on one red silk shirt is now permanent, for example. Plus, the shirts smell weird, which is a sign of old perc. It's convenient, but I'll never go back. read more

This review is only for their tailoring. I haven't had a problem with the dry cleaning services there, but will never go back for tailoring. I brought a dress in that needed to be hemmed quite a bit. She measured it and told me she was going to make it 30 inches (I'm short). When I picked it up and brought it home, it was literally a shirt on me! I measured it myself and it measured 25 inches. How do you get that far off! On top of that, I had no cash and she said she couldn't put $10 on a card. I proceeded to do what I could to get her cash, missed my bus back up the hill, for her then to say, okay I can do it but cash next time. Why'd you have to be so difficult in the first place! Have been using Corbett Cleaners for the last year and had the worst service last week from Amy which was very disappointing. I brought in a few dresses to be cleaned a month ago. What a bad idea! A week later when I took one out of the plastic I found a huge dark stain on the front of one of the dresses which was not there when i dropped it off. When I went in to complain I was chastised in front of other customers for even daring to complain. I felt humiliated, and surprised that she wouldn't even consider that they could've made a mistake. Amy scheduled a pick up and called me 30 minutes after the pick up time to give me some excuse about how the street she was using to get to my house was blocked off so she wasn't coming. When I gave her an alternate route that would have worked she she just repeated she wasn't coming and didn't reschedule a pick-up time. Just got our laundry back from our first time using Corbett Cleaners, the whites are pink, some of the laundry is still wet, half the laundry is inside out and it's all pretty sloppily folded. Not using these people again ... in fact I signed up for a yelp account just to make sure people know the delivery service is the worst. read more
