Overall: 4 Stars Sometimes pictures don't do justice correctly. With that said, the small bar / restaurant's food and staff were wonderful. Located in the Carolina district and right next to Patio de Flores restaurant is narrow and has limited seating inside. There is a bar maybe with 5 seats and a long bench in the other side where 6 tables are. There is outside seating to people watch if you prefer a less crowded environment. Fortunately we have came around 5 on Sunday at it wasn't busy at all. We were only people in there during our time. The place is narrow and dark and has a small stage where a live band plays. Sadly, the band wasn't scheduled for Sunday. Staff: 4 Stars Our server / bar tender was bilingual, pleasant, professional and friendly. She smiled as I "Hablé español" my way through the meal options. But hey, the dishes that were served were the right dishes I ordered. Haha. Food: we ordered two entres. 4 Stars - Pescado frito / Fried fish The whole red snapper was perfectly fried, topped with a house escaveche and it was served on a bed of Mushroom Risotto as the side. The fish was crunchy, flaky, and steaming hot. NOTE: Red Snapper has a lot of bones so be careful when picking it with a fork. Though the fish was good, the mushroom risotto was the star of the show. It was flavorful with garlic and other herbs, buttery and creamy. It had the mushroom's umami flavor which enhance the flavor profile with an earthy taste. 2. 4 Stars - Shrimp Rissotto Shirmp Rissotto with truffle oil, mushrooms. The shrimp were plump, juicy, tendered and with hint of the Caribbean seasoning. It was good but once again the risotto was the Star. You do not need Salt and Pepper for either dishes! And we love our salt and pepper! Now, I forgot to take a picture of the current menu and the pictures of menus posted on their Yelp review have changed. So go their website for a current listing. However it might change too cuz they were out of certain items when we were there. Enjoys the pics and yes, one of the pictures has the chefs expression on a dish. LOL.

    Churrasco Steak

Came here on a Wednesday night with my husband, and the restaurant looked mostly empty. We were treated with prompt and friendly service. We ordered the churrasco steak to share, and it was delicious! The portion was good too. Excellent place!

    Lamb

Delicious delicious delicious that's all I can say the ribeyes are an amazing size and the girls love them. Risotto is A1 first class. The lamb was a little overdone but still yummy as was the saon. Rice and beans are out of this world.

    chicken stuffed/ bacon wrap.

Honestly, ended up here by chance but the service was friendly, quick, and quality. I ordered and my food came out pretty quick. It was so good. Place was very clean. I would go back.

Jonathan was really good was very attentive Was very informative with the menu I'd definitely come back for Jonathan! Food was great

We had our absolute BEST meal at Corchea when visiting PR!!! I wish we would've just eaten here every night. Lol. Didn't even walk inside as it was a gorgeous evening and we ate at on of their covered outdoor tables. The service was super friendly and on top of everything. We went at like 5:30 on a Tuesday evening, so can't speak to the crowds, we had no issue getting a table. We started with the shrimp wontons, and while they may have looked "regular", they were absolutely delicious. I shared the seafood Paella, and it was solid. They were out of lobster, and the flavor wasn't super strong, but it was still very tasty. But what you definitely HAVE to order is that salmon with pesto gnocchi!! OMG, it was some of the best salmon I've ever had, and I eat A LOT of salmon. Cooked to perfection, tender, seasoned well; and the gnocchi was an extraordinary accompaniment!! Great texture and flavor. Can't say enough about this dish! And please end your night with this fudge cheesecake (called something like sundae cheesecake on the menu). Whatever it's called, it was a little slice of heaven and lasted about 10 seconds. Highly recommend

Found it surprising to be so empty on a Friday night. Since the ambiance was nice with good music. Food was delicious I had steak bruschetta, mushroom risotto with lobster. The mushroom risotto is one of the best I have had. My husband had the pesto potatoes which he loved and ordered more. I highly recommend this restaurant you will not be disappointed.

I went for a light bite since I wasn't very hungry & it turned out to be a fairly decent experience. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere & I enjoyed looking at the artwork displayed on the walls. It gave the dining room a little extra character while I waited for service. Since I wasn't looking for a full meal, I sampled a couple of dishes. I tried the snapper but it was a bit on the dry side for my taste. It wasn't bad, but it just didn't have the moist texture I was hoping for.My fave dish I sampled was the shredded beef served in a crispy fried plantain cup(tostones rellenos de ropa vieja on the menu). The beef was tender, juicy, & packed w/ flavor. The crispy plantain added the perfect texture & really elevated the dish. The combo of the savory beef w/ the fried plantain worked so well together and made it the standout food I tried. The waitress was just ok (nothing particularly memorable). While the snapper didn't quite hit the mark for me, the shredded beef in the fried plantain cup was delish & stole the show. It was cool to check out the art & decor.

The lamb chops were tender and juicy, the black rice reminded me of how my abuela used to do, and every dish that came to the table was flavorful from start to finish. I'd def recommend.

The service was a little confusing at first. We were seated and expected to access the menu through a QR code, which wasn't immediately explained to us. We initially expected traditional menus, so there was a bit of uncertainty before we realized how the ordering process worked. We were also seated near one of the air conditioning units, which made some members of our party feel a bit cold during the meal. However, once the food arrived, all of those concerns quickly disappeared. The food was incredible. Rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, every dish at the table was delicious. The arroz con pollo was honestly the best I have ever had in my life. It was perfectly seasoned, comforting, and packed with flavor. Every bite felt like authentic Puerto Rican cooking at its best. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and it made for a wonderful birthday dinner for my wife. While the service experience could be a little clearer and some seating areas may be colder than others, the quality of the food more than makes up for those minor issues. I would absolutely return on a future visit to Puerto Rico.

Service was prompt and informative. We both had cocktails, and Paige said it was one of the best whisky sours she's had. With the snapper - which was HUGE - I had an order of mamposeao, a rice and bean stew that was amazing. My wife's chicken parm also got a great review from her.
