This review is for Emi Yamasaki. I was given Emi's information by a friend, along with high praise. And she did more than exceed my expectations. As a new grad, I didn't know much about renting in the city. Emi was kind to answer our (myself and my roomate) questions, figure out a good time to look for units, and which locations and types might be good for us. Emi started off by showing me a number of apartments so that I could get a feel for what I wanted, and what was important. After each apartment, we would debrief and talk about my thoughts, and requirements for future apartments. Although our requirements were tough (large bedrooms, laundry, downtown, no fee), Emi called me one day to say she had found the perfect place for us. She arranged a viewing that day, and we were able to get in an application by the next morning, just in time to secure the unit. Throughout negotiations, Emi was always on our side -- she convinced the management to take our application over another, and only require two months of security deposit instead of the usual three for new grads. In the application process, Emi worked around my work schedule, and would come directly to my office during lunch to pick up paperwork and deposits. She negotiated to buy us the extra time necessary to mail the lease to my roommate to be signed, and helped us successfully lock down the place. Even after we had the unit, Emi followed up with us to ensure we'd be able to organize a move in date and pick up the keys. We will be moving into the apartment come September 1st, and I'm sure that Emi will help us with anything else we might need. I cannot recommend Emi highly enough if you are looking for a broker. She is kind, professional, helpful, and patient. I would especially recommend her if this is your first time finding and apartment, as it was for us. Mission Impossible: Travel from SoCal to find (and move into) apartment in Morningside Heights in walking distance to new job. You have FIVE DAYS. (Cue MI music). Enter Tuval and Vip, agents extraordinaire from Citi Habitats, who were all over this assignment and managed to find my son exactly what he needed and believe me, it was not easy. After the lease signing, and answering every question from my son and constantly calling up the management company, Tuval asks my son to call the building Super before moving in, just to be sure. Of course, turns out to be the number for the previous Super, of no help whatsoever. Tuval finds the new number and straightens everything out; this is why you need a hypervigilant agent, who will anticipate everything that can go wrong ("Murphy's Law" says Tuval.). Move in the next day goes swimmingly, Super is there to meet us, mattress store delivers bed, could not have been better timed. Vip was fantastic in shuttling us from place to place to look at, incredibly helpful and sweet. Could not have asked for a better team; we felt very well taken care of and they definitely earned their commission. read more

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. Lets start off - we worked with Jeffrey T. Working with this man was one of the most harrowing experiences of my life. Sitting on a porcupine in a thong would have been more comfortable and less invasive then dealing with this real estate monster. Every interaction was circular. Every request was redundant. Every interaction was condescending at best...and offensive at worst. He is the ultimate unprofessional slimy broker. Here are some examples: - Expecting a 15% commission fee after showing us only 1 apartment (that we found on our own anyway) - "Negotiating" on our behalf to the landlord - aka heckling us and making obscene demands of us at all times through these "negotiations" -I moved in with a roommate - he revealed my bank account info and credit score in an email to her and her parents. - speaking of her parents - he requested a guarantor from two 29 year old professionals who made over 80x the rent combined and with a combined credit score of over 1600. cool. - can we also mention this apartment was in morningside heights in an old crappy building and NOT the Plaza???? "This landlord is really picky" - OK Jeffrey - email conversations were littered with obscenities and ridiculous requests ("So please transfer 100k over( i want your documents to come across to the landlord as you saying "f**k you, i can pay for this apartment two times over and them some!") Sorry for the vulgar language but i want you to understand what im trying to convey on my end) - filling out apartment application IN PERSON for about 1-2 hours. (ps every other broker in the city LETS YOU SCAN AND EMAIL DOCUMENTS. welcome to the modern world) As a side note, we were willing to brush this off as he was a relatively new broker at Citi Habitats, but the manager Brian was pretty unresponsive towards the end. All in all, this was going on over a week. Usually apartment deals in NYC are done within 1-2 days. Hope this captures our awful experience. Would never EVER recommend. We closed a deal with Bohemia Realty in under 48 hours and were treated with far greater courtesy and professionalism. read more

Do NOT work with ERIC NORDEN or ERIC HAMM (the managing director there). Work with someone who has a good review from their agency or Compass agents with good reviews. Read the fee agreements in detail and don't sign anything unless you write down what you negotiated on the phone in the contract. Eric Norden got me to sign a fee agreement just before I had to leave to make my appointment without explaining any of the terms to me and Eric Hamm (managing director) subsequently has told me he will take me to court for not paying him the commission on a unit I applied for before even speaking with Eric Norden because I had signed an agreement with Citi Habitats. Their agreement states I pay commission to them for any building they show me, however, I told Eric Norden that I had seen the building and I don't think he can show it to me, but he insisted that he can show me the unit that I have not seen or applied for because I had no other fee agreements signed. This is not allowed in the agent code of conduct as far as I'm told by other agents now (not sure still though, haven't seen a legal document!). Regardless, the unit he showed me was also a unit I had seen which was under renovation and Eric Norden ensured me that it is not when I told him that I'm pretty sure I've seen all the units and they are under renovation. Eitherway, it is completely advantageous of them to want to take any commission for bad service, bad experience, and unethical and unprofessional behaviour. I'm shocked they are even rude enough and unethical enough to ask for it. I just moved to NY and not knowing the rules caused this issue, otherwise I would not have seen any units w Eric Norden in the same building. read more

We worked with Allan Gewurtz, who promises things he is entirely incapable of delivering. We should have known from the moment he showed up late, sporting flip-flops, a Starbucks latte, and a cigarette, to show us an occupied apartment. Nevertheless, my roommates and I were desperate to find housing before the end of the month. After we agreed to take the occupied apartment, which Alan swore would be available before the first of the month, we embarked on the worst move-in I've experienced in my last 5 years of living in New York. Allan assured us that he would take care of our lease and liaise with the management company. Days passed without word from Alan. He dodged my and my other two roommates calls enough times to warrant a visit to his office. I held vigil for a couple of hours until Alan swaggered in and placed harried calls to the management company. As I would realize throughout my experience with Allan, nothing got done unless someone was on top of him every step of the way. On moving day we needed the keys and Allan was unreachable by phone. Desperate, we drove to this Citi Habitats location to ask a manager or one of his colleagues to contact him. Allan answered his phone on his own office's third try, asked for his fee, which he had previously assured us was negotiable, and told us he'd be there in 15 minutes. In the meanwhile, a colleague in his office (skinny, blonde) harassed us to sign the lease for an inaccurate amount before coldly telling us that Allan was "confused" about the brokers fee, and that if we didn't want to pay her figure she'd be happy to tear up our lease. Remember, this was moving day. Allan never showed. We ended up living out of a moving truck for three days because we couldn't move in before the first (surprise surprise, Alan had taken liberties with facts). Our super, whom Alan referred to as "the nicest guy in the world," assured us that Alan was an "asshole" who made trouble for everyone. read more

My experience with Glenn Greenstein turned out to be the worst part of my whole apartment search. Another CH broker referred me to him after I mentioned I was looking on the UES, which is apparently more his territory. I showed up to an address he txted me at the very last minute. This first apartment wound up being a good match, which is where the problem started. That night, on browsing NO-FEE ads for studios in my price rage and search area--there's only a few and I'd already seen most of them--I noticed that one listing was the same one Glenn had shown me! It soon became clear what happened: Glenn was ONLY showing me apartments from a single management company (Paley), every single one of which was available on their (Paley's) website with simple instructions to call a super to set up a viewing. While we both waited around in the cold, Glenn was simply scrolling down that webpage and indiscriminately dialing these supers' publicly listed phone numbers. And based on his surprised reaction when we entered a couple shockingly disappointing places, this was his first time seeing them. As for the apartment I liked, the worst part is that I would've seen it anyway if it weren't for Glenn. The next day, passing by, I called the super myself; I was inside within five minutes. But once you step into an apartment with a broker, there's no way to lease that apartment without paying them their crazy fee of nearly two months' rent--regardless of how helpful or helpless they were. On top of inserting himself as a useless middleman, Glenn managed to screw up my most basic criteria: the apartment I liked turned out to be unavailable until April 1 (management confirmed to me), when I clearly specified my March 1 move date. When I later pointed this out to Glenn, he suggested I was confusing apartments and insisted everything he showed me was available "at once" and for "immediate move-in". This despite the fact that this one clearly had someone still living in it. I've lived in Manhattan for years, including the UES, and know the exact blocks I'd be interested in. To me, there's still value to paying a broker fee to see apartments that I wouldn't be able to find and access on my own, and to help me avoid wasting time seeing apartments they've already seen and would consider bad matches to my criteria. All Glenn managed to do was waste my time. Which is fortunate, because he also wanted to scam me out of $3,500. read more

Another anti - Allan Gewurtz review. The short of it - avoid. I decided to meet with this guy despite is abysmal reviews because that was one particular apartment I wanted to see, but I had an experience similar to everyone else's in this Yelp review. I recommend that if you see an apartment listed under his name, just use the myriad sites available to you - Zillow, NakedApartment, and maybe the Citi Habitats site itself, to find another broker listing the same property. You'll probably have a smoother transaction. Ten minutes late (typical), and then just dropped off another broker he was working with without even a handshake. She then failed to introduce herself. Then there was the standard NYC bait and switch - the apartment I saw in the ad was "probably already rented" so we'll see another one that "is the same." Well, it wasn't. Pair that with a clearly shoddy renovation job, and the decision's easy. I regrettably agreed to see another apartment, and when I got into the car, I was told that the broker responsible for opening the open house was an hour late for their own appointment, i.e. apartment was closed. We went there and waited 10 minutes. The broker partner got on the phone with Allan and started walking away without saying anything. I asked her where she was going - "the subway." She then thought it might be wise to ask Allan if he planned to call me. Seemed like an OK guy. He may be an award-winning hustler at Citi Habitats, but from the customer perspective, he's a shitty broker. read more

This is a review for Allan Gewurtz. Allan is an unreliable and incompetent broker. He was consistently unprofessional, and bordered on the ridiculous. He missed several meetings, ignored countless phone calls, emails, and text messages from myself and my other two roommates. He never arrived at an appointment on time. EVER. Allan was resistant to doing anything unless his manager at Citi Habitats (Eric Hamm) forced him into doing it. We looked at an apartment on 116th street that had a history of bed bug infestations. Allan assured us that there had not been any sightings of bed bugs since a report in 2011. How wrong he was. We signed a lease on the apartment on 116th Street and encountered bed bugs in our apartment within two days of moving in. It was an exhausting experience to break the lease, get reimbursed for our security deposit, first month of rent, and broker fee. All of which, especially the broker fee, was very hard to come by. Allan always claims he has been "sick on and off for months" as a good enough reason for not answering the phone or returning emails. We are grateful that Allan will not make any money on us, after all. Save yourself time, money, and your own sanity. NEVER USE ALLAN GEWURTZ AS A BROKER. You will regret it. read more

This review is for Glenn Greenstein. I had the most insane and upsetting experience with Glenn over e-mail. I will never use Citi Habitats for this or future moves as a result. I had initially reached out about a property and Lauren Unger replied asking me what my budget was. I wrote back and said, including her broker fee, this was about as high as I could go. I wanted to indicate that I was budgeting to pay the broker fee so I couldn't go as high in rent as I would like, but such is renting in NYC. Within minutes Glenn wrote "Drop her. She want no fee" When I responded to point out that he had clicked reply all instead of replying to Lauren, he said, "I don't mean to be rude but why would you contact a broker for an apt If you want to pay that with a fee included" I wrote back, very confused, to say that he was, in fact, being pretty rude and I absolutely would pay the fee -- I had no idea what he was talking about. At this point Lauren tried to intercept to introduce me to someone else. Glenn proceeded to e-mail me FIVE MORE TIMES that day harassing me about not being willing to pay, including ANNOTATING my e-mail for hints that I was refusing to pay the broker fee. I finally had to ask Lauren to ask Glenn to stop e-mailing me because it was getting out of control and I was no longer interested in this apartment at any price. Of course, Glenn e-mails me AGAIN. Saying he was "sorry about what happened," which is akin to saying #sorrynotsorry. Citihabitats cashed a broker's fee check from me and after the deal did not work out, refused to give me a refund in a timely manner. Their manager, Gladys Torres, assured me that it would take less than 2 weeks. But after the 2 week period, she began to try and defend her company by offerring me explantions of the refund process and why it should be taking this long - as if it was my job to try and empathize with them. They should never have cashed the check to begin with because I did not end up with the apt they showed me. I spoke with their managing director, Eric Hamm, who honestly did not care about my refund and continued to postpone it further. I do not recommend this service at all. Customer service is very one sided and only interested in the sales side of things and not at all about the customer care side. read more

The so-called "professionals" at Citi Habitats are a joke. They don't listen to any of your requests on what type of apartment you are really looking for. I as dragged around the city and was told "just take a look" when it was CLEARLY NOT what I wanted. Then acted lost and confused when we got to the building and they didn't even have any studios left. They DON'T so their research and don't seem to care as long as they get their fee. They are the WORST! So unprofessional and rude. They will pretty much hire ANYONE. If you want to go to a broker so they can do the leg-work for you and you can have a stress-free as possible experience, this is NOT the place for you. You will have to be doing TWICE the work because you'll have to be on top of them for everything. And they won't give you the direct contacts for the property so you will have to nag them the entire time - unless, of course, you're okay with potentially losing the property. This review is for Lena Maros RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME completely unprofessional and EXTREMELY EXTREMELY RUDE these are the nightmares you hear about. I contacted citi habitat after seeing a listing I was interested in on a Columbia off- campus housing website specifically for Columbia students and affiliates. We (me and a man named Sasi) began emailing back and forth trying to find a time to meet that worked both for us. After adding multiple other people to the email chain trying to find someone who could meet me (on a saturday afternoon.. very normal time to meet) finally one person was able to meet me (or so they said) . I had an 11 am meeting with a woman named Lena. Traveling over an hour to meet her I called a half hour ahead of the meeting time to pin down a specific place in Lincoln center she would like to meet. No answer. I texted her. No answer. I tried calling another 5-6 times, left voicemails, and more text messages no answer. It was now 11:45 and Lena was no where to be found. I called her office to see if one of her co-workers could get a hold of her and finally after another 15 minutes of waiting Lena texted me (not called after being almost a full hour late) saying "sry I was in NJ. can u still meet?" i couldn't believe how unprofessional her text was and that she did not even have the decency to pick up the phone and call me. Extremely annoyed that an hour of my time was wasted waiting around I decided I would give her another shot and hopefully things would go smoothly from here on out, god was I wrong. We met her at her office where she was EXTREMELY rude and curt with me. I actually could not believe someone who would consider themselves a professional would talk to a potential client like that. she did not even apologizing for the lateness AT ALL, but instead blaming it on other co-workers etc. Not to even mention how she was dressed. She looked like she had been partying all night long the night before and rolled out of bed and threw the first thing on she could find, not bothering to brush her hair, or look presentable AT ALL. She looked like a complete train wreck, with tights that were cut all up and ripped from god knows what, a mini rhinestoned short dress on with and oversized sweatshirt and huge ugg boots and makeup and hair ALL OVER THE PLACE. completely unprofessional and to be completely honest made me question her sanity and what issues she has. she was completely unprepared and made me and my father wait in the waiting room for another 30 minutes while she began searching for apartments that met my criteria. after sitting there and letting more of our time pass, and no one checking on us at all in those 30 minutes I decided I would walk back, find her office and ask her a few questions about the apartment I was interested in. I asked her first, if the apartment was even still available because I had a strange feeling she was not even going to show it to me. She was very very deceitful, lying to my face saying she thinks it is, but she's not sure so I shouldn't be upset if we are not able to see it today. I knew from than on out it was a scam. I politely told her that we are no longer interested in working with her, after wasting almost two hours of our time and not even seeing one single apartment yet. she began yelling at me and my father telling us that its our fault we have not seen any apartments because we are not patient at all and begging us to reschedule our appointment with her when we were able to be more patient and dedicate more time to her. I would literally never go back there again. It was the most unorganized run company and would not want to give them a dime of my money. read more

We found an apartment that we really liked after seeing the photos. we contacted the listed broker and did not hear back. We were on a time crunch because we had to sign our current buildings lease if we planned on staying. We came to this site to find answers and made contact with another broker (same company, Citi Habitats) who then put us in touch with the listed broker. By the time the broker contacted us the apartment was no longer available. We were then told another apartment was available that was similar. We asked to view it immediately. It took nearly a week for the broker to respond and he told us he would reach out to the building. The broker then went silent for another week, even while we would email him multiple times for updates. Two weeks of attempts later, we needed to give our building an answer by that Friday, we were contacted back on Thursday and provided a video of the similar apartment. Complete waste of time. 1. the apartment looked nothing like the photos the website used. 2. the rent was increased $100 and now a broker fee was added on. We wasted 2 1/2 weeks waiting for this apartment based off the photos instead of using that time to find another place. Leaving us no choice but to renew our current lease. I assume this company took so long because they were not gaining a broker fee on the original apartment, then when they found out they now were for the 2nd apartment the broker was very active the final day. read more

I had such a bad vibe the whole time I was there. They really just want your money and couldnt give two shits about anything else. It took a while for the person to finally come over and talk with. Its weird that New Yorkers have accepted brokers fees because this isn't a thing anywhere else. There are apartments out there that don't have these fees which I was lucky enough to get without citi habitats. They wanted somewhere around $4000 in fees and I'm like oh hell no bye. Plain and simple: this isn't a real job anywhere else- these are middle men trying to squeeze out what they can! In other cities you apply directly to the rental management. read more

I used the broker Steven Rubin to find a one-bedroom apartment. We decided to use a broker, even though the fee is $2000 plus, as we figured that they'd have access to more and better apartments. Last Sunday, we met with Steven to view an apartment on the upper west side. We liked it and told Steven that we'd take it. He told us that it would require a $500 deposit for him and would have to be a bank or cashier's check. He was extremely aggressive and pushy about it. We agreed to meet the next morning at 11:30 am to give him the check. We gave him the $100 for the credit check. Later that night, he called to say that the apartment was ours, but the $500 was not necessary. (We knew that our credit score was superb.) Personally, I found this perplexing and it sent up red flags. Sure enough, we didn't hear from him again. I can't tell you how angry this made us. We are paying $2000 for this? My thought was that he was running some kind of scam--placing one bidder against the other--and I was right. We called Steven on Thursday night and asked him why he never called us. He was very nervous and said the landlord now needed a guarantor. Reluctantly, we agreed. Today is Sunday and we never heard back from dear old Steven. So, I called him and left a message. He texted me 4-5 times asking what this was in reference too and that he was too busy to talk. I finally said that surely he could find 2 minutes in his day to talk, and that it was in reference to the apartment. He FINALLY called me back. I asked him point blank why he never called us back and why he didn't follow through on his promise. He evaded the question many times, and when I kept bringing it up, he had no answer. He then told me that if we want the apartment now, he wanted 6 months rent up front plus, 1 month of security. This is the kind of slimy, sleezy guy that gives realtors and used car salesmen a bad name. He is unethical, uncaring, and cunning. DO NOT USE STEVEN RUBIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still want my $100 back for the "credit check" that was a pure waste of time. I am writing this to warn everyone. read more

I looked at apartments one night with him in January, and was skeeved out by comments like "they're kicking people out of this building, so don't worry." Talk about a loaded statement in Harlem! We went our separate ways and then six months later he tried to collect a deposit on a unit that his team NEVER showed to me. Seriously sleazy operation, at least in Harlem. I am usually not one to post, but the attempted collection on a non-Citi unit months later pushed me over the edge. read more

A process that could be insanely stressful was carefree and actually fun! First off, she's incredibly prompt, professional, and responsive. She really listened to what I was looking for, and all of the apartments she showed me I liked. She is warm and friendly and you can tell she truly wants to find the perfect home for you. She went above and beyond to help me secure an application for the apartment I loved, coordinated with the property management company, attended the lease signing with me, and was always available to answer my 4 million questions. This is THE WORST agency to work with. If I could have given it negative stars, I would have. First, they told us the agency fee was non-negotiable, however, I've come across so many agencies that are willing to work with you depending on what you can and cannot afford. Second, they told us the agency fee was on the full 18 months of the lease, however, this is untrue for any apt you look to rent. It should always be on 12 months, so beware of this kind of fraud! Third, they incorrectly listed the price of an apartment. Once we were approved and 2 weeks before our move date, they then told us the apt was actually $200 more a month than what it was actually listed for. Lastly, the agent was unwilling to negotiate a move-in date with the landlord as they wanted us to move in 10 days prior to our move out date and we were not comfortable with paying a pro-rated fee when we had already paid for a full month in the current apt (essentially paying two rents). Overall, this was an absolutely terrible experience. read more

Citi Habitats is a disorganized, dismissive of client issues, and difficult to work with business. Most recently Citi Habits lost our first and last deposit cheques as they had mailed them unsecured. They then requested that we repay ASAP despite us expressing that our cashier's cheques would not be able to be returned for 90 days. They made no efforts to empathize with the impact of their mess to us, displaced blame onto the postage system, and did not make an effort to ensure this wouldn't happen again. I was extremely frustrated by their cavalier attitude in dealing with what is a substantial sum of money we are out. I'm not unconvinced that this isn't a scam. read more

This is a review for Jeff Garlin. I was nervous when my friend introduced me to Jeff, after all of the scary things I've heard about brokers, especially with the big agencies like Citi, but since she recommended him, I decided to go with it. He was amazing! First, he sent me a document that he put together himself, informing me of all of the things that I should be doing and preparing as part of me search. Then, he listened carefully to exactly what I wanted - I am very picky and was only looking for apartments in a certain price range in a very specific part of the city. I also insisted that I did not want to pay a broker's fee. When I met him, he was extremely friendly and honest. He had previewed almost all of the apartments he showed me, so he knew how to answer my questions. We spent about two hours looking at about six apartments - all very nice places at very reasonable prices. Of those six, there were a solid four that matched what I was looking for, and that I would easily agree to rent. He was not pushy at all and encouraged me to take time and think it over, and even look at other places if I wanted to. It was the most refreshing experience and felt as though I was hanging out with a good friend. I can't give him five stars because I did not end up renting anything he showed me. I would have, but at the last minute, found an amazing place on Craigslist that was just ever so slightly more perfect than the four he showed me. I know this sounds cliche but if I could give this company ZERO STARS I would. They screwed my roommates and I over by listing an apartment at the wrong price and not telling us for a FULL WEEK until after they'd already charged us for a background check. In NYC that was valuable apartment hunting time wasted because of their incompetence and neglect. Their hapless "mistake" as left us HOMELESS. Do not use this company. They are the worst. read more

This review is for Proma Mostafa at Citi Habitat's UWS office. I used Citi Habitats for my current apartment and had a great experience - it's now time to move again, and my boyfriend and I called Citi Habitats before we looked at a single apartment. We had an easy, relatively quick apartment search and Proma helped us find a place that is even better than we anticipated! We met in her office on a Thursday and she explained her process and overall broker philosophy, then took us uptown to look at 2 listings. They didn't impress us, but having a sense for what we wanted, Proma said she would put together a few listings for Saturday. She did not disappoint - Saturday morning, she showed us exactly what we were looking for. Even though there were plenty of other brokers and prospective tenants at the showing, she discretely spoke with the super, got in a good word for us, and then helped us start a crazy application. She met with us before 8AM on Monday morning to make sure we were the first application in for the apartment. Once we were approved, Proma met with us the next day to go over the lease and represent us to the management company. I've worked with several brokers before, and Proma really impresses me as an honest person who goes out of her way to advocate for her clients. She found us a gorgeous apartment well within our budget, was sensitive to our price point, and was nothing but helpful throughout the whole process. I could not have asked for a better broker to help us navigate the apartment search, and I plan on sending any apartment-seeking friends her way from now on. read more

Recently found a rental apartment listed by them. I wanted to see it and they cornered me into signing a realtor agreement. The only apartments they showed me did not follow what I was looking for or ones I had already seen and passed due to issues. However, they did not listen to me and still charged an absurd brokers fee. The apartment I ended up renting was disappointing and they mislead me in my search for their own benefit. Would completely avoid any of their listings in the future. read more

Miserable experience with this company recently, specifically realtor Jared Goldman on the Upper East Side. I signed a lease through Citihabitats for an apartment and quickly found a major problem with noise in the building. The realtor (Jared from Citihabitats) ghosted me and didn't answer repeated emails asking for assistance with the matter. I then got railroaded into paying $6,000 to terminate the lease, after only staying in the apartment for 4 days. Highly unprofessional, crooked operation. AVOID!!! read more

DO NOT TRUST Citi Habitats! They use false advertising to lure you in, and then bait and switch you. If you see an apartment online that you like, it's likely that they just threw up a nice stock image and then when you get there you'll be seeing a completely different apartment. It's all part of their pitch to open the conversation. Extremely unprofessional and a big waste of time. The broker, Evan, was also unresponsive and didn't seem to care. Never work with Allan Gewurtz. Royally screws you over and does not care. I ended up doing all the work going from the management company and owner myself. Does not know how to work with people or do his job. Everyone else at Citi says he's a jerk too, not sure why he still has a job. Don't expect a response if you email him either, he's very good at avoiding you and your calls. read more

If you need help finding someone to take over your lease, Greg Hudson is your guy! I had seven months still on my lease, but needed to relocate out of state for my job. Once I had initial contact with Greg, he was super quick to get everything going, and had multiple qualified candidates in to look at the apartment.
