He examined her after reviewing her information and said she would be in a wheelchair or paralyzed (which is what her other doctors told her as well). My mother needed surgery but lives in Illinois and would have had no one to help care for her afterwards. I researched as much as I could about her specific symptoms and discovered a specific device that could potentially change her life. She was unable to walk more than 30 yards before needing to sit and rest and would walk those 30 yards hunched over as THAT relieved the pain. She had not been able to lie flat for years and succumbed to sleeping on a couch. Dr. Hales, as my research showed, was very possibly the best surgeon I could find for her to do this procedure. She walked day one. Day two, she walked better. By the second week, she was walking more than 30 yards and not having those old pains. This was THE BEST choice for her and she has done wonderfully. Sadly, I have a 20 year old son who 2 other doctors have diagnosed him with Degenerative Disk Disease and he cries just putting on his socks. It's going to be a miserable life for him, and he may have to be a new patient of Dr. Hales. These aren't things we chose to do, but things life hands us to deal with. I thought that meant that he was an expert in high demand, not what I later found out myself, and from others, that he is a surgery-happy doctor, and that that's the only thing he advises for everyone, and tries to scare people into doing. He saw me for limited symptoms caused by calcium buildup on the vertebrae, (OPLL), and the resulting spinal cord compression. At the time I had no idea what was going on, and he told me I could become quadriplegic from even sneezing, or tripping and falling, and needed to get immediate fusion surgery. I spent 6 anxiety-ridden weeks, researching the condition, while waiting for a Flagstaff neurosurgeon, Dr. David Sacco's second opinion. I discovered that there is absolutely NO empirical evidence of any kind that someone who has my condition is at greater risk of quadriplegia, and that it is only general, commonly held "common sense wisdom" by doctors. The second opinion was to simply keep an eye on the condition, and get another MRI in 6 months to a year, as my symptoms were minimal, and had already gone mostly away after making lifestyle changes, in terms of getting up from sitting regularly, and doing stretches. Doctor Hale and his assistant would not call me back to discuss any of this, even after I called back twice, both times being assured that he would call me. This doctor is really hurting people by creating huge anxiety, that only makes healing much more difficult. He is both unethical and unconscionable in his greedy pursuit of endless $21k operations. He covers himself from liability and sanctions, by using surgery scare tactics in person, like saying that you could become quadriplegic from even sneezing, or tripping and falling if you don't get surgery, but then in the actual written report, only saying that the risk of injury was only "relatively greater!"

After a brief exam, Wes informed me he believed a torn labrum to be the cause of my hip pain. He ordered imaging after which I was thrown into a circle of back-and-forth opinions as to whether or not the labrum was indeed torn. Fast forward 6 months of continued pain and disagreement between specialists, and I made the decision to undergo hip arthroscopy to get a better look and fix the possible tear in my labrum. After surgery, I awoke the the information that not only did I indeed have 2 labral tears but also a case of FAI as well. I cannot thank Wes and Hypo2 enough for making the initial diagnosis of my labral tears and giving me the confidence I needed to undergo the procedure to have them fixed. Hypo2 is the real deal and will be the first place I turn to with any and all injuries in my running career.

Wow, wow, wow! I recently went to Theresa as I had heard acupuncture could assist with inducing…read morelabor (My baby was 41 weeks and scheduled for a medical induction at FMC on Sunday evening. At my OB appt on Friday I had not shown any signs of labor starting naturally). I really wanted to avoid a medicated induction, my goal was to have as few interventions as possible during the birth to lower the likelihood of a c-section. I had never done acupuncture before and was a bit skeptical but I thought "what could it hurt?" and made an appointment for 4:30PM on Friday. Theresa was extremely kind and a pure professional, her office is clean, comfortable and convenient. The acupuncture went very well, she even took the time to walk my husband through a few acupressure points he could perform during labor to keep contractions moving along and lower my pain levels during the birth. Well, long story short, my water broke at 6:15AM on Saturday! Less than 13 hours after our session ended! I delivered a beautiful baby boy vaginally with minimal interventions. We are so grateful to Theresa and loved our experience with her! I will definitely recommend her to friends and will try using her services in the future for pain management and other ailments. They made up for it every time with amazing coffee, Delicious foods and deserts. A warm toasty fire every night, also wonderful sleeping conditions I didn't even need a sleeping bag or my own pillow.(Lol) We had a great experience with a different group of friends and guest who showed up to serve those who were devastated by the horrible flooding that has never happened like that before. God blessed those who really stepped up. Also on a side note. If you are able to book a hunt. It will be a lot harder to kill anything with a full moon.
