I have been here for 7 years. my experiences here is happy, and very grateful for our apartment. our management is kind, friendly, and very helpful for our family. when we need anything they would do their best to make it fix as soon as possible only when they gets busy time. but, yet they make sure your apartment it meet the needs. the place is very clean and they do their best to not make it smelly. This review is long over due! We moved in this complex almost a year ago and haven't been happier. Let me tell you about my first initial meeting with all the girls in the office. Carol was the one I spoke to and helped me get started. She was so helpful and amazing. She made it so easy and not stressful (moving to a new place is always stressful). I also met Amy and I think she's the manager there. She helped me with all my move in process and went above and beyond I expected. I just moved into my beautiful three bedroom recently. And let me tell you, I've been wanting to move here for soooo long. After finally being able to move here, very thing fell into place perfectly. It is so spacious. Maintenance is very quick. Had some minor problems, but it was no worries. They had to Come back a couple times but it's totally understandable. Can't expect everything to be perfect. I'm loving it here. Management is so sweet. The lovely girl in the summer was able to help me from my application process to the end. She is very patience and helped every step of the way. I can't Remember her name but just know from my Experience- it was better then any other places I've ever moved to. Landscape is nice. They keep the area clean. I suggest adding more parking but other then that. Corde Terra is a great community with an amazing staff. Will update my review in a few months. =) read more

I've been here for about a couple of months. I told myself after I get settled in I would write a yelp review about my experience. As far as the apartment goes, it's very spacious. My family was able to get a two bedroom. We love it so far. But this review is more towards my experience with the staff, specifically Angel who I spoke with when I first moved in. Service with a smile goes a long way with me. She was very nice and patient with me. I had so many questions and she helped answered all of them. She was always very joyful when speaking to her. We also had a minor maintenance issue after moving in but Duc was quick at his job. I'm impress with my experience so far. Thank you for providing such a easy and quick move in for us. My grandma moved into a senior unit here earlier in the year and she seems to enjoy it better then living with me. Might need to inquire for myself one day. Thank you to the office staff for helping my grandma out, especially due to the language barrier. She doesn't speak much English but they didn't give her a hard time. My grandma had applied at Monte Vista Senior last winter and they gave her such a hard time and then denied her application because she couldn't write well or understand them so they told her she was denied. 1 star for it being an affordable apartment for low-income folks. But it needs to change lots of thing. - No guest parking at all. This is an asian populated area, meaning it's very common that a family will have more than 3 people living together, but everyone literally has 1 or 2 parking spots. Make a plan with the clinic or school next door, which has so much space for parking but it's always empty and restricted. Why would you make a business plan with a towing company? Ya'll are taking advantage of the low-income who already can't afford to scrape by or understand English well. -Extremely not safe. Homeless people sleep in the hallways and laundry rooms. The smell of weed is everywhere. I should feel safe walking home, but I always pass by a group of dark clothed men sitting in the hallway reeking of weed and alcohol. -You things will get stolen. Bike was stolen three times, scooter was stolen, car tires stolen, even plants from my patio. Notice how the bike racks either have nothing there or there are just bike skeletons since everything is stolen. -The swimming pool is always broken. There's no floating tube in sight just in case someone drowns. The bathrooms are locked, the shower have been broken for years (there's only 1 for the whole apartment). The fountain water tastes like metal. -I love dogs, but apparently no pets are allowed. Super hypocritical because THE MANAGER'S RELATIVES who live here have dogs. -The community area is never open, which makes the name weird. I had a friend wanting to use it for a child's birthday but they said no because it wasn't during opening hours. The next weekend, they had the managers hosted a birthday in there during non-opening hours. BTW I have nothing against the managers or their family. I just think it's unfair how they do/say one thing but seem to do the opposite of what they say. (e.g. wants to be helpful by being for low income but has a towing company contract/no parking, bad tenant service) read more

She's very informative, and super kind. The office is always busy and she usually seems over worked but she still manages to help when she can. This apartment is a great place to live compare to most places in San Jose. Pros: -two bathrooms -two bed rooms -dishwasher -nice roomy balcony -Family park -swimming pool -elementary school near by, (literally walking distance) -homework center -annual fair during summer -clinic downstairs for low in come family -friendly neighbors - and most of all wonderful office staffs Cons: Sometime you would hear nortenos hanging out trying to be cool but the problem has limited over time since there was a few incident where police has come to check it out due to their somewhat violence behavior towards a resident (I witnessed one incident ) Parking: let's just say it's only for residents and no visitor parking so minus one star for that. Plumbing has been an issues after three months moving in, when you flush, it will come back up sometime it can get pretty nasty, minus one star for that. read more

Compared to our old apartment, Corde Terra Village is so much better! We (my boyfriend and I) moved into a one bed one bath suite. Pros: -Washer + Dryer area in suite (just need to have your own) but I believe there's also a laundry area for people without a washer/dryer. -Dishwasher -Lots of cabinets for storage! -Good size walk-in closet -AC -Most of the tenants here are older so it's pretty chill here and they're super friendly -Feels a lot safer than our last apartment complex -Has a swimming pool -Two mini playground areas for the kids -A room with treadmills/ cycling machines (I haven't been in it yet) -A homework center -They have yoga classes and other activities scheduled for each month. -Our apartment itself is actually quite nice with a roomy balcony. -Rent is affordable -Theres an elementary school right next to the apartment. -Nice location with a lot of food places near by. -If you have kids, this apartment pretty much got you covered. You don't really need to go far. Everything is pretty much walking distance (school, playground, swimming pool, and homework center). Cons: The only con we have so far is parking. There's not really a designated area for visitors so having people over is pretty hard. We have two cars. We have one designated spot for underground parking in the garage and one parking permit sticker for outside parking. Parking spots are pretty limited outside. If you get home pretty late, you might not be able to find parking even with a parking sticker... We've only been here for two months but so far it's been great. There's not much to complain about. We're actually really happy with this place. There's probably more perks and amenities that we still don't know about but overall it's been a pleasant experience so far. read more

Pros: the staff has been friendly and accommodating when I have contacted them. Anytime I had a maintenance issue, it was resolved right away. When I say right away, I mean within a few hours at most. Front desk, Angel has always been super helpful. Cons: the parking situation here is awful. Anytime I've had a guest over I either tell them to Uber or park at the Plant shopping center and I'll pick them up. Management is aware of this problem. The complex is well kept with the maintenance guys hard at work. I personally see how inconsiderate some of the tenants can be with cleaning after themselves. I'd sometimes want to thank them for keeping this place we call home clean and tidy, but feel it might be awkward with that approach lol. The girls in the front office are knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. They always make it a pleasant visit to the office when there's paperwork to do. Great apartment complex. Has a pool and gym. Also, has a community center. Holiday events are held here to bring the community together. Maintenance keeps the area nice and clean. Power washes the ground probably once a month. People tend to be kind of loud without much consideration for time of night. Sometimes there is awfully loud karaoke going on. I mean I would be find if it was good but the person is so bad, it sounds like an animal being tortured ~_~. Please turn it down or even the music itself especially when it is a weekday. If it is a weekend, by all means, howl away. Parking is also another big issue. There is NO GUEST PARKING. You can and WILL be towed. I usually see like 1-4 cars towed a night. Other than issues with noise levels and parking issues for guest.... it is otherwise a nice little community. read more

2 stars for the low rent and new buildings, which include central air/heating and underground garage parking. Parking is limited, but that's just the way apartment living works. Less 3 stars because your door gets left unlocked after inspections/maintenance repairs. Happened to me twice. You get constant notices on your door for random inspections. You can only imagine the anxiety of knowing someone is going to come when you're not home and there's a possibility of them not locking your door. Don't bother keeping your carpet super clean. They will replace and charge you for it. I was shocked, since my carpet was left without a stain. Everyday, you will either hear couples fighting or children screaming non stop. With the help from the Case Managers in Menlo Park they found the most beautiful apartment I could ever dreamed of. Corde Terra is a fairly new and a well kept apartment complex. The office staff are very nice and helpful. The complex is equipped with all the amenities of any high priced apartment. The community atmosphere is wonderful for children and families. Neighbors are quiet and pleasant. Corde Terra Villiage is located near all the major freeways. Shopping and restaurants are also nearby. I love it here! read more

This review is overdue, I been living in this apartment complex for 4 years, it's the perfect location because it's on Tully . I never had a problem because the office will provide help for any of my concerns. The person that made it easier for me is the new office assistant manager. She breaks down things for me when I find it complicated to understand. When I moved in I wasn't told that parking in a reserved spot WITH MY STICKER would get me towed. Unfortunately I still had to pay for the tow but she did break down the reason and explained everything again. She is very professional and also easy to communicate with. I recently asked if she can just give me a brief walk through of my lease again for personal reasons. And she literally went through and broke down every page for me as quick as possible. I know the office is always super busy, and when I mean busy. I mean that office is like traffic! So I'm glad she was able to take some time out to help me. I really love living this place. It's pretty much close to everything (Costco, Grocery, Walmart, Target, BestBuy, etc...). There's also a hospital right next to it so if you are old and in need of regular visit like my parents, this would be a wonderful place to stay. They also have other cool amenities such as a pool and gym. The office staffs are friendly and helpful, especially Thu. Very unprofessional & unethical management! Mentioned on the phone Friday the rent was $1340 per month. Office closed on Sat & Sun, so we came on Monday. After figuring out that we liked the unit, told us the rent just raised to $1450. Come on now! It can't be that fast. Yet, told us that we would receive the key few days prior to the day we move in, but after charged us $90 for credit check and had us fill out all the paper, said the key could be only handed out on the day we move in. Who would want to live under this kind of management..! MAKE SURE you ask them to put everything on paper. DO NOT take their words for granted. read more

Bad idea! Though new and equipped with great rental features such as A/C, dishwashwer, microwave, and washer/dryer hookup in the units... parking is a nightmare! Seem as though the builder for this apartment complex only care about making money instead of helping the tenants with the horrible parking situation. They've recently built homes and a senior housing complex outside of it and caused the parking to be even more congested. If you have 2+ cars and you get off work after 6PM, forget about it, you'll never find parking! You can also forget about having guests over, where will they park??? There is no street parking either and would have to park about a mile away and risk your cars getting broken into. There have also been several incidents of car thefts and break ins in the parking garage. Management always said they'd get the gates to the garage fixed, but they never do... The tenants are loud and the kids are rude. They would run up and down the stairs ringing random unit's doorbell and run off! Older men would stand outside in the middle of the night talking on the phone super loud. Maybe calling to Vietnam?? Who knows, but why must they go outside at 3AM and talk as if they are in a busy Asian supermarket during midday?? If you have work early in the morning and need the sleep... then I would say go buy ear plugs. Though the windows are dual pane, you can still hear them talk as if they are standing in the same room. Prepare to be drained and tired! Neighbors would also party until 3-4AM on a week night. You can complain, but who would listen to you? Management just do not care. We are old tenant, we were move out on 12/31/2017 and we just received a disposition of security Deposit for charging us $1,133.17. Everthing are ok except carpet replacement charge, it unacceptable with the reason when we moved in on 7/1/2012 the carpet was too old and dirty, at that time we also reported to Corde Terra Village management (Ms. Huyen-manager) and then Mr. Quoc-Maintance Technician came and had a look on our unit and he confirmed that the carpet was the old one. Today date (1/17/2018) we called the Corde Terra Office and talked to Ms. Thu, we just want to discussed about the unacceptable carpet replacement charging, she replied this charging should be paid for changing the new carpet for the new tenant. Then I also asked her why when we moved in on more than 5 years ago we didn't have the new carpet replacement although we asked for couple times but only received the answer was "waiting" and then now why we have to pay this charging? She answered that we don't have any proof to show that we lived in old carpet, we feedback with the same answer that we didn't received any documents or proof that the Corde Terra Village had replaced the new carpet for us. She said she will ask the management but she hadn't give us the satisfy answer for the feedback time right after she have the management's answer, even a week, a month or a year. read more

I've been living here for the past 3 years, exceptional experience for an affordable rental pricing at a very comfortable living environment , especially with the climax housing in San Jose at the current time . The management here always been so helpful in responding to all my daily concerns, then passing it on to their maintenance team immediately, next thing I know coming home from work was everything has been fixed without any delay. Not to mention one of the office staffs who named Thu, she's fluent in both Vietnamese and English. My mom finds it easily to communicate with her about all the paperwork when I'm not home. Thu is very patient with all the senior here which I found it very rare at a young professional employee, and appreciate her in helping my parents addressing many of their questions. Corde Terra Village apartments is a beautiful place to live. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Its also very covienently located next to Valley Medical Center and Franklin Elementry school. Both in walking distances great for seniors and families. No need to start up your car to go take your child to school or to the doctor. read more
