Had an amazing dinner experience while in Brigantine on vacation. We had 7:15 pm reservation for 2 and we were seated at a comfy booth table inside. Our server was super friendly and attentive! We didn't realize it was BYO however they sell NJ wines and we got an enjoyable bottle of red for $22 which I felt was reasonable. Since our entrees included a side salad and they gave us rolls upon arrival, we didn't order any apps. For my main, I had the pasta Giacomo. The homemade spaghetti was so good and the sauce had nice heat! My husband had the Pollo Natalie which he enjoyed. They even sang happy birthday to me with a complimentary cannoli & candle. Friends took us here while on vacation in Brigantine, NJ. We had reservations and were seated right away. The inside was nicely decorated and cosy.Our waitress was very friendly and told us all about the specials. It's a BYOB, so we opened our wine and started right in. Showed up on a Saturday night 7:45 no reservation. They were very accommodating. Asked if we could wait. Less than 15 we had a table. They apologized it. Was a high top be we were fine with that. Calamari order was enough for 4 people for sure. We were only 2. Hubby had a pasta special with sausage and shrimp. I opted to go light and had salad with shrimp. Should have been more shrimp but overall it was delicious. Had a limoncello Tartufo that was also very good. Excellent service and delicious food! We called on way to see if they had a seating as it was about half hour before closing time. They said come quickly as the kitchen is closing soon. When we got there, we expected to be rushed, but that was not the case at all. They had a seat ready for us, and we were met with warm welcome and top notch service by our hostess and waitress. Hubby and I have been here several times to eat and never disappointed. Last time we are here was last winter. We had reservations and arrived about 10-15 min prior. we waited about 3 min and taken to our table. Our server, Leslie, was prompt and super nice & super busy but treated us as if r were her only table. (that's so rare in this day!). Food as always, amazing. we had calimarri for app. always so good, not heavily breaded and full of flavor. Hubby had the pasta giacoma and if i knew how to do the kiss off the fingertips emoji; that's what it would get. i had the chicken piccata (I'm a sucker for capers). with a side of pasta. this pasta. Have been a long time fan of Cordivari's restaurant. We live in Bergen County and visit our Summer home in Brigantine frequently. We could not get reservations this summer, but did last night. We had 5 pm reservations, and everyone with the same reservations were seating along the wall, was very loud whereas the rest of the restaurant was empty. The grilled beets in the salad were out of a can and not grilled and lacked seasoning. Scallops were very good, but we felt rushed the entire meal. They cleared my wife's plate while I was still eating! As i was finishing my entree they delivered the check, I left frustrated, we were there less then 90 minutes. May never go back due to the poor service. read more

Cozy restaurant outskirts of Atlantic City. Came here with 6 ppl for a celebratory event. Very friendly staff. Waitress and hostess (owner?) were welcoming. We had the Lobster Venetian, Flounder, spaghetti & meatballs, filet Mignon, seafood pasta, calamari, scallops and a side of broccoli rabe. House salad was superb. Very well seasoned and comes with each entree. Calamari is a popular dish amongst the kids. The scallops came in 4 but were tiny and made sharing for a table of 6 hard. Each had half of a small scallop. Main courses were good. Some hits and some misses. The flounder and seafood pasta were delicious. The house made pasta had a harder texture which was nice. The filet was over cooked. Ordered a medium, came almost well done. Meatballs were delicious. Very well seasoned. The lobster was tasty but portion was small for the price. Why oh why did I not come here until now?! Remember to pull and not push the door... and you'll find exactly what I found. Welcomed with literal love. I arrived, I ate, I was conquered. I went there specifically for the gnocchi. I will return to enjoy that once again. But I am sure that I'll also treat myself not only to what's normally on their menu, but also their specials. My waitress was kind enough not to let me derail my intentions for going, by not detailing the specials. But I did over hear the explanation made to other patrons and I'm sure I'd have been hard pressed not to one to deviate. The service was a joy. I highly recommend getting a reservation. Because even though I'd arrived right at 4pm, it's obvious that there are many regulars who make sure to book their spots well ahead of a walk-in. So call or use their online service to reserve or know that you must reserve for another day to enjoy all this restaurant has to offer. While I waited for the homemade gnocchi and side order of meatballs. The waitress asked if I'd like butter or oil to dip into the bread. I hesitated and she offered me a bit of both. My goodness - I felt spoiled! The EVOO with the shredded garlic, salt and maybe Parmesan? I dunno but it was delicious and the warm bread combined with a bit of butter and that oil... bliss. The main event? You'll just have to go there to find out if it may meet your expectations. I've already said. I'll return. Dessert! If you don't save room for it. Then certainly consider selecting one to enjoy at home. I did and the reason I waited until today to write my review for my 5/6/23 meal was to consume my selection. Light, sweet enough, pistachios... The place has a human scale - tables are not jammed together, you can actually hear what the person across the table is saying, and the hostess some how seems to know most quests. PRODUCT: The menu features many truly Italian dishes, featuring to a great extent home made pasta with authentic Italian "gravy" (marinara sauce with body); several fresh seafood entrees; creative salads; a variety of veal, chicken and beef dishes; and of course a wealth of fabulous deserts (including Toni's special home made biscotti), Oh yes, they also deliver some delicious warm and slightly crunchy bread to your table (without asking!). We decided to visit on a recent Sunday night. I've ordered a couple of times, but I must say, the in-house dining experience exceeded my expectations based on what I knew from ordering takeout. Service was amazing - Amy and the hostess were both true professionals, warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. The food was SO good, veal is comparable to Chef Vola's - and blows Cafe 2825 out of the water. Try the European Butter Board special and ask for both balsamic and honey drizzle - they both complement the butter, prosciutto and goat cheese well! Someone in our group was served raw chicken for dinner tonight. It was sent back and he asked for a different meal instead. We asked to see the manager and had a very disturbing experience. We expressed we were worried he would get sick and she sarcastically responded by saying if he gets sick to send over the bill to the restaurant. Condescendingly she said they can't please all customers and that they wouldn't be comping the second dinner besides removing the chicken dinner. We weren't complaining that the meal wasn't enjoyable. The meal was inedible and consumption of raw chicken can lead to serious illness or even death. The manager should be ashamed to not have come over immediately to apologize and make up for the mistake. read more

Great little BYOB in Brigantine! Who would have thought that dining in a parking lot would be a welcomed treat? Thanks, COVID-19! Cordivari's rose to the occasion with several covered tables right out front. It's a true tent setup, so no worries if a passing shower happens upon you. Our wait was about 20 minutes on a Wednesday night in late August. They do offer takeout, but once the outdoor seating fills up, they stop taking outgoing orders. Makes sense since they want to focus their efforts on their on-site diners. We ordered the Fried Calamari, the Chicken Franchaise, and the entree special - Mahi Mahi with a balsamic reduction, Jersey sweet corn, spinach, and tomatoes. The fish was a little on the dry side, but the accoutrements made up for it. Great blend of summer flavors! All entrees come with a side of pasta or the vegetable of the day. Go for (calorie) broke and order the pasta. It's made in-house, after all! Good portions, efficient waitstaff, and walkable to the liquor store if you forgot your favorite bottle at home. How anyone could give this restaurant a bad review is beyond me. This was my first time here and it is amazing what they did with an adaptive reuse of a Wawa store. My Caesar salad dressing was probably the best I have ever had and the Veal Saltimbocca was also the best I have had in recent memory. The ricotta cheese cake was also scrumptious and the service was spot on. My only negative observation was the music they were playing, it would have been a better overall experience if it was a tad more elegant as opposed to the top 40 summer hits. Really excellent dinner! I only ate here once so my review is based just on that but for a single experience I was tremendously pleased. We were in Brigantine on vacation and my experience is that "nice" restaurants at shore vacation communities are typically overpriced and sub-par, and best to stick with pizza and burgers. Not the case here at all. We sat on the outdoor patio, which was lovely. The service was outstanding. Food was excellent. Calamari appetizer was crisp not greasy and generous portion. Two different chicken entrees were both excellent. Also great is that it is both BYO and sells wine (though only by the bottle not by the glass)! Prices were reasonable, comparable to what we'd pay in Philadelphia, not ridiculously jacked up because it's at the shore. All in all definitely a place we'd look forward to returning to.
