Appetizer took 40 minutes to get out of the kitchen. Eggplant was way overcooked and like mush. Chicken was overcooked and breading was soggy. Pasta was dried out floating in a pool of water. Great atmosphere but they need to get someone else to cook their steaks. My husband and I are constantly ordering rare steaks in hopes they don't over cook it so we will get the medium cooked steak we really want and it never happens. Andre's food is overpriced and mediocre. I have dined at Andre's 3 times. The first time my food took forever to be served and was the wrong dish. The second time every drink order we wanted to have was met with our waitress coming back to say they didn't have the correct mixers. Two tries and decided on pepsi. (Coke is non-existent at Brigantine) I can't remember what we ordered but I do remember thinking eh nothing special. This was last year. This year we tried Andre's again (choices are limited for dining out for dinner). Our dinner started with the same drink issue as last year. I ordered Chicken Parm. It came with salad, soup or pasta. I asked if I could have French Fries instead and was told no, you cannot have fries with chicken parm. Not even a let me check or it may be extra - just no. Again the food took forever and the rotini pasta I chose was probably cheap dried pasta with just a ladle full of plain sauce. I watched the waitress attend to everyone around me but she did not check in with me. No water refill. Nothing. Until time for the check. I don't know if she was insulted about the 'fries' request or what. Andre's is very busy and I don't get it. It is not great food. It is pricey. The service is not great. I hope better restaurants start finding Brigantine as a good place to open their doors - this community needs it! I will never waste my time or money at Andre's again. read more

First, the food was overpriced. I know it's the sea shore but if you are overcharging the quality must be good. The menu said steamed clams they didn't specify size. Well we got top necks good restaurants only serve little necks with steamers. Entrees came without salad or soup. The roll was very small pieces of stale Italian bread. I ordered spaghetti with whole clams. Again, they came with top neck clams not little necks as I ask for. My wife ordered stuffed shelves. She said it had absolutely no flavor. I will never go back to this restaurant again and I recommend not trying it. My bill was $94 and we only had one beer and one mixed drink and the entrées. read more

One of the best restaurants on the island. It is much better than many of the restaurants in Atlantic City. If you're in Atlantic City I would suggest driving over to the island and checking out Andres. They have an extensive wine list, wonderful menu of dishes, plus daily specials. Went for "Lunner" which is dinner in the mid/late afternoon. However the dinner prices were high and we didn't want to doggie bag anything. So we ordered a chicken Cesar salad and a pepper egg and sausage hero thinking they would be a quick meal. NOPE, we brought home half the hero. We were very impressed with the freshness of everything. The salad was crispy and the sausage cheese pepper hero was the best I ever had - hands down. Wonderful. We've been here many times before and it's been good but this experience ruined our night. Our waiter (bald, shorter man) ignored us and maybe stopper by our table twice. The food was flavorless, low quality, and incorrect but the waiter never bothered to stop by to check on us. We waited half an hour for our food and we never ever received our starter salads. The only helpful person was the bust boy with curly hair who was very apologetic and the only one who appeared to be paying us attention. When our waiter finally stopped at our table we informed him that we did not like the food and he was completely disinterested. He brought us one complimentary cannoli, but did not remove a thing from the bill. Cost $80+ dollars with tip for two pasta (one of which had been not been eaten more than a few bites as it was swimming in oil) and two fountain drinks. I have dined in here a few times, and recently picked up take out. The food is decent! The pizza was a nice surprise as it was well done and tasty. The chicken parm I was hesitant to order based on mixed reviews....it was not bad, but typical chicken parm is crispy pan fried chicken cutlets/breasts and these are clearly not pan fried or deep fried - it definitely seems just baked, so that's not my ideal but it didn't taste BAD. Stopped in for a drink and a quick afternoon bite at the bar. Recommended by Ernest, the LaSammana next door hotel's charming doorman, Andres did not disappoint. Andres is an old school Brigatine neighbourhood Italian restaurant. A well regarded choice with the locals who all headed for their favorite tables when Andres opened at 4pm. Mussels in red sauce, one of the happy hour bar specials, were plentiful, spicy and satisfying. PJ the very friendly and competent bartender also provided some hot, crusty bread for dipping. A delicious bargain with a couple of drinks. PJ made a really good Margaritta that should be on a cocktail list at the bar. Decent selection of wines. Will go back to try more of the menu. read more

Waited over a hour with plenty of tables open! Sat outside and ordered drinks while we waited. Hostess wanted us to get up and wait on the street even though no one was seated outside! Poor management Drinks were pretty good even though I had to personally order them. For those who complained about the cost, expect to pay more at the shore and especially after all this inflation. The spicy sausage sauce was amazing as well as the pizza. But it could of been the hunger pains of waiting. They said the kitchen was backed up. Idk. Not sure if I go back.
