Wow! Absolutely loved everything about this place. Our server was amazing (Sophia) and was so attentive and funny! Our food was so good, drinks came quickly and were good. Coming back all summer, what, a, vibe.

Alicia Poke was absolutely delicious, but I would ask for no roasted red peppers next time.

The portions were huge, the staff and service were fantastic and the value was there. I loved the ambiance too.

Looked for a nice place for a quick dinner in Brigantine, NJ. Found LaScalas which had some good reviews so we tried there. The restaurant looked recently remodeled with white granite countertops and tables, nice looking. Our waitress was very friendly. She took our drink order and brought them back quickly. I ordered a double gin and tonic, which is my summer drink of choice. Then ordered an app of Calamari and a Margarita pizza. The calamari was excellently prepared and delicious. The pizza was over cooked and served cold. I had one slice and that was it. Then the bill came, I was charged $21 for the drink. Wow, very disappointed. Not recommending this place or coming back.

This places is Da bomb! The atmosphere is beautiful! The service was friendly and helpful. I had the meatball Trio appetizer and it was absolutely delicious! I also had the French fry appetizer with crab and other stuff on it an it was also delicious! I love this place!!

Only went for drinks while taking a break from the beach. I will definitely ho back to check out the food. Service was slow, it was crowded. They had a nice band playing. I ordered the loretta lemonade which is like a limoncello spritz. I ordered a club soda, it never came and I was charged for it ‍‍‍

Beach. Food. Bar. Music. Service and relaxing. If you are in to those four things, this is it.

Just off the afternoon vibe is so cool. Amazing views or the beach and ocean. Waitress was Adriana and she was great!! Always checking and making sure our waters were full on a hot summer afternoon. Wife started with frozen espresso martini and she loved it. Apps meatballs which were excellent! LaSclala Fries with bacon, crabmeat. Also very good. SPICY TUNA TARTARE was fresh and spicy. We really enjoyed this!! Alicia Poke bowl was the best thing we had. All fresh Tuna; Salmon and more spicy tuna. Have to say this place is definitely a 10!!

Stopped by here on a Saturday around 6 pm to eat and enjoy the live music. Had no idea what to expect - the place was a zoo when we arrived. Valet parking was nuts, the line to put our names in for a table with an outdoor hostess was long and slow. This place reminds me of Bar A but on steroids and fancier. We got a drink at the inside bar since the outdoor bar was too crowded & rowdy. Service was slow and inattentive at the inside bar. The pineapple crush was so sweet. We moved outside when the band started and eventually got seated at our table. Tried the tuscan wings, the pickle spears and a pizza. The pickle spears were really good. The tuscan wings sucked - dry / overcooked. The vodka meat lovers pizza was average - about what you'd expect from a joint like this. Our server was really good though - one major plus from the evening. The band was pretty terrible. Each set got gradually worse and shorter. I think they were on break more than they played. All in all, this is a great spot for people watching and overpriced food and sugary drinks. I feel bad for the residents who own beach houses in this neighborhood - its way too crowded of a place and loud. I would hate to have this place near my beach home.

Fun place for drinks and dancing, but the food is mediocre at best! Ambiance & Service: The outdoor seating area is spacious and right on the beach! We waited over an hour for a table for two, but the bar and lounge area kept us occupied. Our server was friendly, and the food arrived quickly. Food & Drink: - Spicy Margarita: A typical spicy marg--would order again! - Rigatoni Vodka: Just okay. The sauce was bland, though the pasta was cooked well. - Truffle Fries: Fries were a good size, but lacked any truffle flavor. TL;DR: Great for drinks and dancing, but don't expect much from the food.

Enjoying good food and good friends

Enjoyed drinks and dinner with friends in Brigantine at LaScala's Beach House. They're a family-owned chain with restaurants in NJ and PA. First time I dined at this spot since they purchased it and gave it a total makeover. Huge improvement in look and feel, and increase in seats. This really matters at a shore spot. Nicely done. Jumping atmosphere. Good music. Server Savannah was attentive and not intrusive. We ordered several apps to share: Caesar salad, ricotta jar, meatballs, and margarita pizza. I'd recommend all of them. Interested in trying new dishes next time. Yes, I'll be back.

I opted for outdoor seating on a perfect late evening, and it set the tone beautifully. There's something special about this spot - it sits away from the boardwalk's noise and chaos, offering a much more relaxed, genuine dining experience. I tend to gravitate toward the same order here, and for good reason. The crab cakes are outstanding - generous with the crab meat, full of flavor, and absolutely worth the price. I paired them with a Caesar salad, a solid combination. I also ordered the fried shrimp platter - the batter was spot-on, the portion was generous enough that we couldn't finish it, and, impressively, it held up well into the next morning. That's always a good sign. Don't skip the jar drinks. I went with the cucumber basil, and it was wonderfully refreshing - the kind of drink that just fits the vibe of the place perfectly. The service was prompt and on point. If you're in Atlantic City and looking for a break from the loud, touristy strip, Back Bay Ale House is where you want to be. One of my absolute favorites in AC - I'll keep coming back.

The place was beautiful but it does get crazy right at open for happy hour at the bar so make sure youre there early if you want that. There's literally a line waiting... We started off with the Shrimp Ceviche. It was super flavorful and tasted very fresh. Then we got the Grilled Octopus and it was FABULOUS! The flavor just encased your mouth when you take a bite. Its not overly chewy and the beans underneath made a great addition to each bite you took. I had NEVER tried oysters before and I finally mustered up the courage and tried one and im glad i did. It was delicious and im so glad they allow you to try just one so you don't waste money if its not your thing. The server was so nice to offer because I told her id never tried one. After that we tried the Maine and Manhattan Chowders. Both were super yummy and had a great taste and a good amount of clams.... another thing I had never tried before... WORTH IT. Then came the main course. I got the Flounder and Crab while my boyfriend got the Brazino. Both were so delicious and so light and yummy. I honestly can't say one thing i did not like about the food at this place. It was all so good. To finish off dinner, we got the Creme Brulee and an English Coffee to share. Again AMAZING. If you're ever down in Atlantic City, this place is a MUST GO!

Happy Hour Review…read more Preface: My wife and I were visiting AC to celebrate her birthday. As frequent visitors to AC, I'm a bit embarrassed that we've never been before but here we are. Before I get into the details, I'll simply say this place is SPECTACULAR!!! I was thoroughly impressed by the ambience, food, relative affordability (for seafood), and customer service. Additionally, we were so impressed that we came back the next day for another Happy Hour! This will be a long winded review because Dock's deserves the accolades and future potential diners! Oyster on the Half Shell ($1.50 each): Incredible, clean tasting oysters. I prefer a brinier oyster but I can't ignore the quality and freshness.. It was served with lemon, horseradish, and a homemade vinegar mixture. I asked for tabasco on the side. As mentioned earlier, I do prefer a brinier oyster but these oysters were a clean palate for you to customize as you please. Regardless of your oyster preference, order a few to start off your experience. Broiled Oysters ($1.75 each): There were two options: Rockefeller or Champagne Leak. We only ordered 2 (Champagne Leak) because we wanted to explore more of the Happy Hour Menu. The broiled oysters were presented on the half shell with what looked like a creamy leek infused sauce. Beautiful flavor! Fried Oysters ($1.75 each): They offered 4 different types: plain, buffalo, parmesan, and wasabi encrusted. I loved them all. We ordered 2 of each and it was served with tartar sauce. All 4 offered different flavor profiles. The Plain sounds boring but it's the perfect vessel for you to dress it as you please. The Parm was one of my favorite bites here. It was breaded, fried, and topped off with cheese and red sauce. It was fabulous. I can't give an honest review of the Wasabi and Buffalo fried oyster as my palate was bombarded with multiple plates, condiments, and drinks at the same time. Fried Calamari ($7.25): Simple, fresh, delicious. Although fried, it didn't come out greasy. Simple breading or flour dusted and fried served with lemon and cocktail sauce. No curve balls with this fried calamari. Lobster Mac and Cheese ($11): Beautifully presented Mac and Cheese served on top of a half split lobster. Great traditional casserole style Mac and Cheese (in taste, not presentation). Bits of lobster incorporated as well. It's a nice change of pace from oysters galore.I understand it's lobster but for the most expensive item on the Happy Hour Menu, I expected a little bit more meat. Tuna Tacos ($7.75): Star of the Show! Raw tuna chunks are diced and served in crispy wonton tacos. The crispy wonton had an incredible crunch. Wonderful upfront flavor but it doesn't stop there. There are back notes of something I can't pinpoint...a touch of wasabi and/or sesame oil??? I honestly can't tell you but it brings such a complexity to the dish. This is a must order. Even if you don't like raw fish, please do yourself a favor and try it! My favorite bite of 2026!! Ambience: old school but upgraded and grand design. Beautifully stocked upstairs and downstairs bar. The pianist played classic music. Customer Service: although we weren't seated. The bartender accommodated us to stand on the side of the bar, he told us it was against policy to serve food to standing customers (understandable) but he obliged. The bartender's name was Joe. Excellent bartender/server. Overall: we were so impressed we told ourselves that we had to come back the next day and we did. Day 2 food reviews below. TOTAL: $141.58 + $30 tip, 4 alcoholic drinks ordered. Day 2 Food Review House made Meatballs ($6.25): Great choice if you want to switch up away from seafood. Great presentation with 3 meatballs drenched in red sauce and topped with a Parmesan crisp. Overall it was tasty but I prefer a slightly sweeter red sauce. Deviled Eggs ($6.25): The Deviled Eggs here are topped off with a fried oyster. I'm a huge texture guy and traditionally deviled eggs are a mushy hot mess but here the crispy fried oyster is the perfect contrast. Served with a honey drizzle. Will order again! Clams Casino ($6.50): Clams topped off with charred red and green bell peppers and bacon. Aesthetically beautiful and colorful. More importantly, it was delicious. Notes of bacon are felt but surprisingly the charred peppers come through with a slight sweet profile. Mini Crab Cakes ($7.75): Traditional crab cake with a red pepper sauce. Good serving size, good amount of crab, and very little filler inside. No frills, must order. Steam Mussels Marinara ($8.75): Mussels served over a red sauce. Served with garlic bread on the side. The garlic bread was the unsung hero of this dish. Great garlic and butter flavor. The bread stands tall against the flavorful mussels and red sauce. Customer Service: Harry was our barbartender and looked like he was enjoying his time. All the staff truly provided great service. Total: $181.17 + $40 tip, 6 alcoholic drinks ordered.

He made it very clear that the restrooms were for paying customers only. I firmly replied, "I plan to dine in, but need to use the restroom first. Is that a problem?" He didn't seem too happy with that response and walked away. As intended, I sat at the bar and ordered wings and truffle fries. The food wasn't particularly memorable, but the wings were a decent size. The truffle fries were fine, but nothing that stood out. Antonio clocked in about halfway through my meal and was a breath of fresh air. He was friendly, attentive, and completely changed the tone of the experience. Overall, it was a good visit with decent food and great service from Antonio. Unfortunately, my first interaction with Domingo left a poor impression and took away from what otherwise would have been a positive experience.
