This eatery has to be the most unorganized franchise in history. Went last night (4/16). Fourth person in line and waited 40 minutes just to order. The workers were filling mobile orders rather than the people in line. After ordering, it took another 15 minutes to get my food which was cold and not very good. Several times had to remind counter person what I ordered. The kids working were doing their best but really it wasn't enough. Several people walked out the door without ordering. My order was incorrect, my bill was rung up wrong and the place was a mess. I feel sorry for the workers there. It is so obvious that they are overworked and need to rethink their process. read more

As a person who had a strict diet it was great finding a place that had healthy options. I ordered a steak byo bowl put quinoa in it as im gf free. Now as a person who is only intolerant to gluten for my auto immune disease if i find a noodle thats not gf i wont be to concerned but as a person who is celiac i feel like who ever does the food prep should try to be more careful and clean about mixing up products when creating dishes. Writing this review feels more like an autopsy than what it really should be - reliving an awesome meal experience. We stopped here for the very first time to use our BOGO coupon and to see what it's all about. We walked into a vast, empty dining room with a handful of fellow customers in line and another handful serving them on the other side of the display case. I ordered the bowl with tuna but was told they were out (thanks for indicating that on the menu board and/or putting up a sign, so that I just spent a handful of minutes deciding on something I wasn't were they didn't even have). We ended up with a bowl with pulled pork and added a fried egg and a bowl with taco-like toppings. The bottom line is that it left me wondering what went wrong. The fried egg was stiff and overcooked, and none of the topping that should've been at least warm was warm. What I like is the use of recyclable (I hope) bowls and ingredients that haven't been processed beyond recognition. I'm not sure if we'll go back, but I wish them well. read more

This is a solid place for a quick and healthy bite. The staff is super nice: they let you sample dressings and are patient with explaining the menu. They also gave me a free drink. Which was awesome because they have an interesting selection of Tractor brand teas lemonades and juices (see photo). Bowls are offered as small or large, have various types on the menu, or you can create your own. The food was good. Grilled chicken was fresh and very juicy. Ingredients seemed good quality. They didn't even start preparing the food until after I arrived. I sat out front and waited for awhile because I was early, well that was a waste of time. Not happy at all. On their Facebook page, I was able to snag a ticket for a free meal there, before they even open. It included a meal of your choice (anything)and a drink. Event included a meal for two people. I got one for me and my son. My boyfriend had gotten his own. The line when we arrived at our time slot was long, picture posted. Yes you had to pick what time you wanted to come. I selected between 6-7 pm, after work and after the traffic dies down. It took maybe an hour to go through the line and get our meals. I ordered the chicken cobb since I just started the paleo diet. My son ordered the pork bbq. My boyfriend got a meal with steak. The staff was willing to explain the menu and how everything worked. It is set up cafeteria style and you add things or take things that you don't like that are on the menu. You also can make your own. All their food is antibiotic free. Everything looked healthy and very fresh. I couldn't wait to try it. And it sure was good and definitely fresh! I tried a piece of my boyfriend's steak and it was perfect, with a little bit of pink. Not really sure how he ordered it but he seemed pleased. After we got our meals we decided on what drinks we all wanted. I had to have the cold brew and I enjoyed that. I took a while to study their menu (should have the paper menu's near the door), the narrow order line is closed-in with the Menu Board very far away & unless you go over to the cashier for a paper menu, there's no menu in sight while in line. HOWEVER- 1 Star for the Service. A group of immature teenagers/young adults working there. Friend (who Does NOT look like me) & I came in for the 1st time 2:30pm on a Saturday. Everyone seem to disappear when we approach the counselor, then a girl came out. Friend ordered first & being new, I was watching the girl make her bowl & answer my friend's questions. The girl looks up at me, side eye, and says "I'll be right with you." (It was obvious she didn't realize my friend & I were together & uncomfortable with me looking at the ingredients & what she was doing) I'm waiting, another girl is behind the counter filling (the mostly full) greens bins (& patting them down?), another girl is at the other corner near the Iced Teas doing something else. Why are there 3 people behind the counter AND also a cashier & I'm still waiting/not acknowledged? A guy, who was wearing cooks' clothes came out, fiddled with something at the rice, doesn't acknowledge me, looks at me & finally took my order. Looks at the 2 other non-working girls & walked back to the kitchen. As the girl finishes up my friend's order, moves my bowl down the line (without looking up asking if I wanted a sauce, other sides, or soup), she steps back & goes over to her friend in the corner behind the Teas. I can hear her telling her "...weird, Staring at her, I just told her I'll be right with her." The other co-worker cringes, they both look at me. The girl goes back to her station. A lot of choices for healthier type lemonades and iced teas, with ingredients like tumeric and apple cider vinegar. Not heavily sweetened. It was a perfect spot for a lighter dinner. CoreLife is a great "fast food" alternative to places like Chipotle or Panera, with similar prices, customizable options, and a variety of ingredients for people with different palates and dietary needs. I ordered the spicy Thai noodle bowl and the coconut curry soup. The person who took my order didn't know what was in the coconut curry soup except chicken, but said others enjoyed it so I chose that. For a pick-two, the sizes seemed small but were actually very filling. The sauce in the noodle bowl was flavorful and the chicken in it was really good, but most of the bowl was cabbage. The soup had a strong basil flavor and may be improved with some coconut milk and a bit of spice added to it. I really want to give CoreLife a fourth star, but I'm not quite there yet. They're still getting their act together somewhat. I was attended to by a number of new employees learning how to prepare the dishes, and it was kind of endearing watching them with their reference sheets getting everything right. And my greens bowl was absolutely perfect, you'd never know they were triple-checking themselves along the way. And it will only get better. So compared to the Clifton Park site, this one is a little larger, but the rest rooms are a little smaller. There's more booth-type seating as well as overall table space. They have additional sides here such as mashed potatoes and mac and cheese, and the menu has been reorganized. read more

No veggie broth after they scooped the greens, sparingly - check the pick for the two spinach leaves. Blank stares, they have no idea what to do. I suggested making it a rice bowl. More stares. Finally ended up with a make your own. They didn't offer any toppings, any bread. I added pepper, salt and sriracha to give it flavor. Inconsistent. Skimpy servings half the time. Clueless servers. I love salad and this place delivers! They offer suggested bowls but you can build your own based on what you see--similar to Chipotle's assembly line model. I took a co-worker here on her last day and she was impressed with all the vegetarian and vegan options. She pointed out that the restaurant decor was industrial, also similar to Chipotle. My co-worker created her own concoction, while I chose the sriracha ginger tofu grain bowl. She and I were able to have leftovers and get another meal out of our large salads, so that makes the cost of the salads even more reasonable. There are plenty of meat and chicken options for carnivores and there's soup, bone broth, pho options available too. The only disappointment for me was the cooler drinks. I ordered one and got a cup. From there you can select from a multitude of options, from lemonade, to tropical green tea, to iced coffee. I sampled each one: just a little swig to toss back and see if I liked the drink. Not a single one tasted good to me. I ended up selecting the coffee since that was the most palatable, but I would not choose a drink from their coolers again. This isn't to say that the food and the experience isn't top notch--it is for a fast casual healthy option. I just won't be getting a drink there again. Like the the CoreLife in Clifton Park, this location offers real metal cutlery and metal trays to carry your order to your table. The melamine salad bowls are lightweight and reusable. Except for my plastic drink cup and straw, I didn't see any single-use disposable plastic as part of the usual meal ensemble. Our to-go containers were plastic, but of the durable, sturdy kind that can easily be hand washed and reused. I was honestly surprised when I saw the reviews on here. I had a great experience, service was quick and the line went fast. It was my first time here and the workers helped me with the menu and gave me recommendations for what to get. I got a build your own bowl which includes two bases, a protein and 5 toppings. I tried a spicy chicken bowl with rice and kale and the Greek yogurt Cesar dressing. It was delicious! Ingredients tasted fresh. The only disappointing thing was they burnt my chicken. There were a lot of drink options, the orange cardamom turmeric and the vanilla cinnamon fig were just OK. The cold brew wasn't bad either. During prime lunch and dinner hours, there is a short line, but wait is not very long. There are helpful workers wandering about, answering questions and guiding ppl through the ordering options. There are a lot of choices, set menu items as well as customizations. Everything is fresh and clean tasting. If your bowl doesn't taste good, it's really on you for what you chose hahaha. My one and only small complaint is that I got grilled tofu twice, first time it was good, whitish tofu with brownish edges. Second time, the tofu was a mix of the same mixed in with really dark brown/overcooked pieces that didn't taste right or have great mouthful, so I had to pluck those guys out. Yikes. This might have just been an off day. There appeared to be only one staff member working during lunchtime on a Sunday which was also Mother's Day. She was very polite, but the entire line of food tins needed to be cleaned and restocked. I have never seen such brown romaine in a restaurant in my life, that needs to be thrown out ASAP. Ehhhhhhhhhh I mean the best way for me to describe this place is = it's an healthier version of Chipotle, and would also not be my first choice. I got the Thai noodle bowl with some tuna on top, tHe picture looks great but is like 1 oz of rice noodles with chopped salad and a small portion of chicken. For a side I go the broccoli cheddar, and it was nothing to write home about. As you can see there's a lot left because I ate the chicken and tuna because it just had no taste after that. Overall, this place seems great for the ultra fit humans out there but if your looking for a good lunch fairly cheap and want to feel full after this is not your place you sir or ma'am. Unfortunately another bad experience with bowls from core life. The past three bowls I have ordered have been wrong. This bowl was supposed to have a hard boiled egg, and additional hard boiled egg, Thai noodles, almonds and walnuts and these items were missing with no adjustment of price. One time I can understand, twice makes me skeptical, three times make me would not want to order any more. If you haven't been here before it's a little confusing if you trying to build your own bowl. I felt a little rushed, staff seemed confused, annoyed and just not entirely together. I was t offered a receipt for my purchase! The decor is nice, clean and simple. I think it's pricey, for extra $3 o got like 6-7 little unevenly cut/cooked steak. Kicking myself for thinking the portion would be decent. My quinoa was good though. The food itself was bland, I also had the chicken broth and it left an unpleasant after taste in my mouth. This is my third time here and I have been so pleased that I'm sure there will be a fourth time. So far, I've had the ahi tuna bowl, the hearty steak and ranch bowl, and the spicy chicken bowl. All have been incredibly delicious. Someday, I'll have the guts and knowledge to make my own custom bowl, but not yet. As someone with food restrictions who really likes to make healthy choices when I go out to eat, I'm happy that I don't have to sacrifice taste here. All of their dressings are gluten free and just about everything is allergy-friendly. There is bread, there are dairy options, and there is soy (quite a bit of it), but you can opt out of everything you need to and the staff is so ready to help you out. Oh and btw this spicy chicken bowl is actually spicy for anyone curious as I write this while eating it. The space has been clean every time and the service fast (except for one time, but that was because of a patron in front of us). There is outdoor seating and the lemonades are definitely worth getting. Pricing is affordable and reasonable for the fantastic quality. Skip Panera and come here. You'll regret it otherwise. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup that I have had several times at the Clifton Park location and loved. I asked for it to go and was not paying attention to them making it. I asked for everything on it. I got home to realize that there was no chicken or tortilla strips. I also realized that the peppers were completely black. She had to scrape the broth off the bottom of the pot so I can only imagine how long it had been sitting there. I've always had a good meal here and I haven't had the same thing twice. Its easy to customize with the make your own bowl (which I recommend adding the falafel to). This is my first time eating at CoreLife. I went at noon on a Friday and there was a pretty long line. The people were very nice, but it took kind of long, too, like 20 minutes, because they were completing online orders simultaneously. I got the Mediterranean bowl, which for the price was ok, they only give you two falafel and a tiny scoop of feta and hummus. Flavor wise, the dressing was really yummy, I swapped the basil cilantro for the Greek yogurt blue cheese, but the hummus was grainy and didn't taste like hummus and the falafel were tiny and tasted bland. The service was great until the end when the lady asked if I wanted a bag and I said yes, but she didn't give me one and when I asked for one at the end she literally gave me the nastiest look.
