Tipsy Moose is a small and cozy tavern serving up comfort foods and drinks to go with it. Sit at the bar with all the barrels or the dining area with sports playing on TV, or out on their patio. There is limited parking on the premises but always parking on the street if you don't mind some walking. The slightly rustic, lodge type of interior matches the friendly vibes as well as the interesting drink selections, including a side menu filled with signature coffee whiskey cocktails! Their tipsy cocktails and beer menu is also quite attractive. My group and I were able to walk in on a weekend evening for dinner with no wait and while it was packed inside, it still felt roomy enough. However, the surrounding tables were rowdy and the noise was reverberating. Our server was attentive though she did admit it was busy and the wait time for orders would take a bit longer than usual. The menu has plenty of starters that are highly shareable, poutine, salads, soups, mac and cheese, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, wraps, and quesadillas. Haven't had real poutine in ages so I decided to try their gravy fries with smoked cheese curds and added bacon. It was a good portion for the price ($15+) and came out hot on a cast iron skillet. The cheese curds weren't the type I expected and melted down too much, and did not have that squeaky cheese bite one would want in poutine. The gravy and the bacon worked well with the fries though! The smoked brisket French onion soup ($8+) was extremely hot when it first came out and I had to let it cool down before taking a spoonful. The cheese was so bubbly and delicious and the soup itself was flavorful (maybe a tad too salty), and had a balanced amount of onions and brisket. I would definitely get the soup again. Their barbecue pulled pork quesadilla ($15+) was also a bit too salty and meat was more tough than preferred. We also tried two of their mac and cheese selections, which came in a small cast iron pot each ($17+). The bacon chicken ranch mac and cheese was good but the jerk chicken mac and cheese was not as memorable (not much jerk flavor). Kudos for having a build-your-own mac and cheese option as well as a mac and cheese flight if you want to try more than one flavor. I'm glad to return to try other menu items at this tap and tavern and see what else catches my eye. While this visit wasn't spectacular, it also wasn't bad. The French onion soup is one thing I know I'd get over and over again. Oh, they also have a credit card transaction fee that you will see once you get the bill. Pay in cash if you mind said fee.

I recently visited Tipsy Moose and immediately fell in love with the vibes--cozy, warm, and inviting. I don't think I've ever been this excited to see a drinks menu before! Every cocktail was right up my alley: Moose Cookie Dough Coffee Whiskey, Moose Coffee Maple Whiskey... irresistible. For brunch, I went with the Wake Me Up. Normally, I'm hesitant about whiskey, but I loved this cocktail so much! My boyfriend had the Mocha Espresso Martini, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Then we tried the special cocktail--Pumpkin Spice--and it became both of our favorites. For brunch, we explored their "Tipsy Brunch" menu and both went for the Adirondack: smoked brisket and corned beef hash with jalapeños, onions, eggs, and toast. It was delicious! The staff was sweet, service quick, and the overall vibe is definitely a new favorite. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars just yet is that I like to visit a spot a few times to fully explore the menu. But one thing's for sure--I'll be back at the Tipsy Moose soon!

This is a fun little neighborhood bar. We had the French onion soup and a burger. Both were very good and the drinks were spectacular. The bartender was friendly and attentive. We'd definitely come back.

Was passing through and needed a bite. Found this place searching on Yelp. Great food and great service. Unique interior gives the feeling that you are hanging out in a lodge in the mountains. Hope my travels bring me back to the area again so I can stop in.

The people, the food, and the beer, was killer! Based in Philly, but travel often, I will definitely be back to the tipsy, moose!

The service was great! The smoked brisket French onion soup was to die for! Loved the regular fries, but the sweet potato fries were good too! We ate the onion rings of the burger first - so tasty! Burger was delicious too! I really enjoyed the Rueben which was perfectly put together! Loved all the cabin decorations - so fun! We will be back next time we are in the area.

Came here with a group of friends, never heard of this place but the food was delicious. Probably one of the best burgers I have ever had. Service was pretty well. The environment of the place gave off bar and grill but, not too surprising... it is a tavern. Would definitely come again!

I have been trying to get to this place for a while and have been meaning to do their review for a while as well. Seems like a busy spot, because are not many bars around this area. Talking about the Latham location. I would give wings and Mac n cheese 5/10. They cheaper out on flavors and spices and cheese in the Mac n cheese. Yes... pretty low, on that. I mean why make Mac n cheese when you don't have the cheese. Flavoring was really low quality of the wings for the price paid. Ambience is okay. I did a take out, busy mom so couldn't enjoy the bar, but the place was packed for an early Friday evening. Hopefully they have good drinks. Will definitely try them for something else. Mac n cheese at Druther's is amazing with generous amounts of cheese.

I was looking forward to a bowl of French Onion Soup, but it was a disappointment. 3 stars at best. --The onion slices were not soft from a long sauté and not browned from proper preparation. --The broth was bland, and the bread pieces were mush. I ordered the appetizer Pub Ribs, and they were praise worthy as always. My friend enjoyed them as well. Another friend got a serving to go to bring home to her husband. The small salads were good. Their balsamic dressing is tasty. The Pumpkin Soup was a hit. One friend got the Gobbler Sandwich. It was about seven inches tall. She was surprised. You certainly could not take a bite sandwich style. The height came from the large amount of lettuce on top of the turkey. Another enjoyed a very good Reuben and coleslaw. Service was good at first since we arrived right at opening. Later, server was busy with other tables. She refilled cups of coffee but not water glasses. Our table was bussed mid lunch to remove used plates. Big issue: Two stars for the ambiance. Six of us were seated at a large round table in one corner of the main dining room. After 30 minutes of customers filling most tables, the NOISE level in the room was terrible! We could not even hear the person seating across the table. So much for merry conversation...

Despite her being the only person up front, she warmly welcomed everyone and the service was great. I ordered this as takeout and just had to take a couple of bites in the car before going home to try it nice and warm. This kind of sandwich is hard to find. A special roll needs to be used for this called a kimmelweck roll. A kimmelweck (or kummelweck) roll is a crunchy, Kaiser-type bread roll topped with coarse salt and aromatic caraway seeds, primarily known for defining the Buffalo, New York, "beef on weck" sandwich. Originating from 19th-century German immigrant traditions, they are usually filled with roast beef and soaked in au jus. The sandwich was loaded with juicy flavorful roast beef. The bun had caraway seeds and coarse salt all over the top of it which complimented the beef deliciously. It also had a horseradish sauce on the sandwich, so good. It was served with tasty fries and two little cups of au jus. I would definitely order this again.

Because we have a toddler, I stayed away. However, on a cold December Saturday night I decided that it was time for an adventure. A Philly adventure... When we arrived the seating area was very empty and we quickly found our own table. There were lots of TVs on showing sports but because they were muted, and because the background music was soft we could actually hear ourselves. It was nice. The staff were very friendly. I ordered a cheesesteak, my wife ordered smoked wings, and we later got a cheese pizza for our son. The food came out pretty quick. I loved my cheesesteak. Now, I have no idea how "authentic" it is but the bread was lovely and light and crisp, the meat was good, and the hot peppers were actually hot. The smoked wings were okay, but I am more of a deep-friend Buffalo sauce type of guy and they tasted more like roasted chicken (which... they were). The pizza was very good and the sauce was a little bit sweet but it was nice that it didn't taste jarred. They have their own type of pizza and it worked. I think we came at the right time, as they were setting up for a 12-person party which would have made things really loud. Is there a dance hall upstairs? I dunno, but I never noticed club music. I don't know if we will always get so lucky on picking a night to visit but I wish I had stopped by sooner as it was a nice place to go and eat.

Glad they replied, though belatedly. We will go back and cross fingers that this was a one off situation. January 1st- I sent the following email Dinertime with NO response. Things can happen at any business...but not acknowledging in any manner that we were served basically raw shrimp is the reason why we are posting this. Businesses that care about their customers at least recognize when there is a problem and try to make it better: Hello, we are customers who have been coming to the Diner Time restaurant since you opened. We have come as a couple, we have brought or met friends, and we bring family. Overall, we've been satisfied with our visits. The food and service have been reliably good/decent. Tonight, however, was a disappointment. We recognize that very few restaurants were open today, New Year's Day. As a result, your dining room was very busy. Despite that, our server was very pleasant and took good care of us. The problem? Unfortunately, it seems that the kitchen was rushing to get all the orders taken care of. My lasagna arrived, barely warm.... As if they didn't leave it in the oven or whatever heating device long enough. Tasted good, but I decided it would taste much better if I took it home and heated it up properly. So most of that came home with us. More importantly, my husband got the Fried Seafood platter. The fried fish and clams were good, the crab cake mushy and tasteless. The coconut shrimp was crispy and brown on the outside, but the shrimp inside was undercooked. Translucent and almost slimy. Both of us tried a different one of the 3 shrimps and both weren't cooked. We packed up leftovers (leaving the shrimp) and ordered dessert (very good red velvet cake). When our server brought us dessert, we did inform her of the cold lasagna and undercooked shrimp and asked that she inform the kitchen. Shortly after we got home, both of us got sick to our stomach, husband with very bad diarrhea. Couple of thoughts... when we mentioned the problem, it would have been appreciated if someone.. ie the manager on duty or one of the kitchen staff apologized and perhaps comped the dessert or something. It would also have been helpful to hear that care would be taken to prevent this in the future... ie especially undercooked seafood. We do appreciate you being open on the holiday but hope that you can avoid negative problems like this happening again, especially related to food safety. Sincerely, R Rosette Food: 1/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 Noise level
