Seriously cannot even begin to describe how obsessed I am with Coreology! I am always impressed by the variety in the classes - I feel like the instructors are constantly mixing up exercises which makes for a more fun and challenging workout. The studio itself is very clean and simple. The machines are brand new. Also bonus - the studio has tons of parking! My one complaint is that there should be an extra changing room or bathroom - there's always a small wait right before class. read more

The class I took here was an all levels class and the instructor was very nice. These machines need to be updated as I found them worn down compared to other studios I've been. This studio might be in transition as I heard they changed ownership. Im looking forward to seeing how they remodel it as I noticed building supplies by the bathroom, so maybe they might be spicing up this studio. No soap to wash your hands in your bathroom which I found pretty gross. Maybe someone walked off with the soap bottle? read more

I can't recommend Coreology enough. Their new studio space is so beautiful and feels so fresh and clean. The energy from the instructors and toughness of the classes are always right on par. I've only taken the Reformer X classes but their tread and candlelit stretch classes sound amazing too. I also just love the positiveness of the Coreology community. This place is awesome! The people are so friendly and kind, especially to beginners. I've had Meg twice and she is great if you're new to the Reformer. Amazing workout for all levels. I'm at the beginner level and I come out sweating and good "sore." But there are modifications up to intermediate and advanced. It's dark with loud music which definitely gets you pumped. I love being able to strengthen my whole body without putting stress on my knees. These types of classes are always pricey but if you buy a package of classes you can get a significant discount. read more

Most passionate instructors!! Caitlin really tapered her class to challenge us "intermediate/experts" explained what muscles to focus on and how to connect because you almost always forget when you are shaking in muscle failure ! So having that reminder and push is so essential to make the MOST of workout. Also the different transitions that some do are perfect to "confuse" your muscles . So I can continue working on that left leg even though I want to stop, that slight change in movement is what makes it possible to not give up. Also I appreciate those who come around and correct your form. Protecting your back is so incredibly important and sucking in that core can be lost when all you want to do is pant . So thank you! I love the ambiance in the studio, it is pretty much "blacked out"except for the front door. This actually makes SUCH a difference. When you are so tired and exerting so much energy, sweating and losing electrolytes the sun can be a make or break to my workout. Also the studio changes to a dim blue lighting when taking classes with fun music, so I can drown out my increased respirations! Environment is everything to me and coreology you have outdone yourself! I love pretty much ALL instructors . Meg, Kenya, Katie, Blake, and of course Jamie are those who I see the most. Such passion for their jobs it makes such a difference when THEY are excited you are there and kicking your booty to make changes in your body. This studio is under new management/owner Sarah Martz. Same great classes with some added advanced/intermediate classes. Best part is you work out and then you can grab a yummy juice after. Studio is a bit far for me to come on a regular basis but I def will try and come more often. Sarah is super nice and friendly and works you sooo hard. The most incredible part is she's doing the exercises with you and talking at the same time. She's not even out of breath. Def adds motivation for me not to cheat or take breaks as much. ;) Classes are appearing on ClassPass right now so an added bonus! read more

Excellent and efficient workouts that use every minute that counts to make it burn! Love the music and challenge! The instructors are all very timely with the workouts so whenever a muscle group is isolated you work it on one side and then the other side throughout the class. It's very organized. I thought I was athletic but the class was still exhausted me and that challenge is what makes it interesting! I'm one of those people who get bored easily so I'll never be the one motivated enough to go to a regular gym. The classes here keep the burn going with every movement you'll be sweating your way through every minute and before you know it it's over! It's like doing yoga on a moving platform with other classic calisthenic body weight movements like squats, pushups, etc. Highly recommend!! Great whole body workout without the rough impact to joints compared to other classes like HIIT, Circuit Training, CrossFit, etc. You are using resistance and body weights with some light dumbells but don't underestimate the difficulty of the class. Don't be intimidated though and give it a try! read more

Coreology is one of my absolute favorite places to come for a killer workout, amazing instructors and just an all around awesome vibe. It's an incredible full body workout that will make you sweat and shake without being high impact. I'm ALWAYS sore the next day! Great class, excellent and upbeat instructor, super challenging workout - all the things I look for in a workout class! The facility offers hair ties (we've all forgotten or broken one on our way to class, great looking out team!) and free towels which is much MUCH needed during this type of workout, so thanks team! Bathrooms are directly to your left upon entering the building bathroom or on your right as you exit the building; I didn't see this so assumed there wasn't one but I was wrong. Just to reiterate, this class was very challenging and it is not something I would recommend for anyone who doesn't already have some type of regular workout routine and/or a good awareness of how their body moves or can't move to stay safe. I absolutely love coming to Coreology! I was previously a member of forum+La and never thought I'd be able to get used to the change in ownership. I was totally wrong. While the vibe is definitely different than the old forum+La, it doesn't make a difference in the workout or experience. Sarah has done an incredible job at creating her own brand and workout in Manhattan Beach. Coreology has your traditional Pilates plus style classes, as well as killer treadmill+Pilates mixed classes at the Manhattan Beach studio. I'm always sore after class regardless of how often I go! I have a particular love for Meg's class because she's helping me rehab a serious back injury. She's highly attentive to form and modifications of everyone's injuries. She's fantastic at multitasking and she has been a vital part of my recovery. With that being said, every instructor at Coreology goes through a very intense training process and is not put out onto the floor to teach publicly until Sarah and Meg can guarantee members will have a safe, body-changing experience. Jaime and Genevieve are also amazing - but my schedule doesn't allow me to make it to their classes. Totally worth it to try every instructor at Coreology and see who you vibe best with! read more

I've been to this studio a good number of times now. I have Class Pass and try to go twice a month. This was my first Pilates Reformers class. All of the instructors were really welcoming and helpful. I loved that they walk around and help to adjust you and correct your form. Great, motivating music and friendly, upbeat instructors! You really get your sweat on and feel the burn (in a good way)! Would definitely recommend for any level, as they accommodate to all. read more

I've been to numerous pilates studios in the area, however, none challenge me like Coreology does. Each time I finish a class at Coreology, I leave feeling very accomplished and as though I got my money's worth. When I have attended other pilates studios in the past, I have left feeling like the workout did not challenge me and dissatisfied with my purchase. Coreology always has me sore the next day and confident that I am getting stronger! I've also never had an issue with parking and class always starts on time. I recently took my very first pilates class ever and it was AWESOME. I signed up online for a 7am, "All Levels" class with Erin. I have to admit I was a bit nervous and the machines were rather intimidating. But before the class started Erin gave me an overview of the machine, how it works, and what I can do to add or decrease resistance (very helpful!). The class itself was intense! Erin thoroughly explained each of the moves and made sure I wasn't completely lost as we went through the class. She also explained how to modify each of the exercises for beginners like me :) The music was great and the 50 minutes went by fast! It was a really great core workout, that I could still feel almost three days later! (Seriously, laughing hurt for a couple days...) I am hooked and can't wait to get back for another class @ Coreology! read more

Completely Addicted! I have tried so many different types of workouts and gyms/studios of the years. Coreology is the most complete, and challenging full-body workout I have EVER done! The amazing instructors are incredible at making it easy to follow but very challenging and always new. I absolutely love this place! I do private sessions because I have health issues. They are so in tune with what you need. They will go at your own pace. The instructors will check in with you to make sure you're doing ok and feeling up to new challenges. All the instructors are amazing and the owner is so sweet!
