The workouts are challenging in the best way, the music is always on point, and her energy keeps the entire room motivated from start to finish. She also teaches Yoga Sculpt, and I can honestly say my body has never looked better since taking her classes. She somehow manages to push you while still making the class fun and supportive. You leave feeling stronger, energized, and proud of yourself. Gabby is one of those instructors who genuinely inspires people to show up and give their best. What a great C-1 yoga class today lead by Lisa G.! She explains the yoga postures with precision in English then in Sanskrit. Today's theme was on breath and gaze & focus called Dristi. Her yoga vibes playlist included instrumentals and some songs with words which punctuated the authenticity of Lisa's deep yoga background. Core Power C-1 classes are the level which introduces so many classic postures in a lightly heated room. It's still a good workout, making heart rate rise and the body sweat. This place reminds me of "Cheers", where everybody knows your name. The instructors become friends. Today, Pilar chose to spend her bachelorette party with us yogis. Depending on my work schedule, I visit different CorePower yoga studios but I have to admit that Huntington Beach is my favorite studio. And not all yoga teachers are not created equally and the one that I like a lot is Olena who teaches at Huntington Beach. Olena's teaching style is precise and she teaches a very structured class and fun class. Her directions, demonstration of each exercise is crystal clear and she brings a nice energy into class and she also plays nice music throughout her classes - I can say that time flies when I am in her class and I always leave her class with a sense of gratification and satisfaction that I had an excellent workout. I always measure my exercise at any workout with MyZone heart rate monitor and the key to good exercise is staying in the yellow and red zone for a maximum fat burn and getting leaner body. Olena is one of the three instructors who can make me keep up such positive results by staying in two zone. Olena's teaching style can manage to keep you on top of the game at each class and she brings the best out of you. At least, I know that she does that for me; just look at how many minutes she kept me in the yellow and red zone. read more

Again, issues with the heat have not been resolved and are getting progressively worse with seemingly no end in sight. Have been going for three years now and am actively looking for a new studio. Even when the heat is "working" it's never heated to the advertised temperature and it's been this way for 3 years! Only reason I haven't left sooner is because it's so close to where I live. I came here afterwork to try out their C2. I've been to many yoga places and core power is the one that always incorporates some kind of core circuit (ab crunches and pulses) in their vinyasa style flows. Their rooms get heated to about 102 degrees and I have no issue getting a spot. Yoga blocks are straps are provided in the back of the room as well if needed. Restrooms, lockers, and showers are always clean which is a plus. C2 with Ashlyn is probably my favorite so far. Her flows are what I'm more used to. Song choices are great too! I'll probably come back Fridays for her when I can. read more

My friend invited me to try out yoga with her and so because I am out of shape I decided why not. This is HOT yoga which was challenging but well worth it. This location is in the Bella Tera plaza in HB upstairs by the Bed and Bath building. It is a big nice and clean place it has 3 studios located inside. I did the FREE week trial and really enjoyed it. The 5:45am class was fully packed and while I enjoyed it. I have to say it was just overcrowded with different smells towards the middle of class because obviously everyone was sweating. I would think there should be a limitation per class especially with Covid. I prefer the 10am classes less people. Overall, the instructors were all great and they keep it nice and hot. Faculties are clean and staffs friendly. I would recommend trying it out. Membership is pricey but it's not limited. They also have deals for Class Packs and they are on ClassPass. They have several locations which is great! Try it out and Namaste.... read more

Signed up for their all-access pass with the January discount and attended my 1st class! The Corepower 2 was challenging but very doable! I also loved the energy in the class and by the end, everyone was drenched in sweat! The class started on time and even went over for a stretching period! It was a super fun, good workout. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures, but that might have been for the best since we all were a mess by the end. If you're considering it, there's a 2 week free trial period to test things out without fully committing! FYI- at this location, only masks are required. read more

The management at this location has been disappointing. Minsun was rude and showed little empathy towards students. When I suggested switching studios for Core Power 1 to avoid the noise from the Sculpt class, she essentially told me to find another yoga studio, saying that peace and quiet aren't priorities here since Sculpt, with its 60 attendees, is the main revenue generator. As someone with a back injury using yoga alongside physical therapy, this was disheartening. I also learned that Core Power 1 is unpopular among many instructors and often gets canceled, which is concerning since it's the only class my body can handle. My interaction with Minsun left me with such a negative impression that I canceled my membership online the same day. For $200 a month, every student should be treated as a valued customer, not just those attending the most profitable classes. read more

The good: - A robust schedule with many different types of classes and time options - Class was structured well, challenging but not overwhelming - rooms get hot The bad: - this was my first time at the studio and the person checking me in asked me if it was my first time, and when I said yes, just told me that the class was in room 2 and to grab 2 blocks. No instruction about where the rooms were, locker usage, where the bathrooms were... nothing. -A recurring monthly membership is EXPENSIVE, currently $199 (again they do offer a very robust schedule so I can sort of understand) -The studio is dirty, both the actual class rooms and the remainder of the studio as well. Women's bathroom had things all over the floor (tissue, hair ties, debris etc) and it felt unclean. When I entered the studio for my class it had sweat on the floor and the mirrors were streaked and had handprints all of over them. -Props are low quality, specifically the blocks which aren't dense or heavy enough to use properly. - The studio seems very focused on selling merchandise and not as much on the quality of their surroundings or offerings. read more

Been a black tag member at this studio for 10+ years. Celebrating my 400th visit and workout soon..! I love this company. Even during the pandemic, they made it work! Corepower had live zoom sessions, some studio had outdoor classes, and when businesses started opening up, they enforced the mask and limited spacing. As a Yelper, eating out is a must almost every week..! People are always asking me how I can do it without gaining so much weight and having good/normal lab values. Answer is to do cardio, lift weights, stretch, and sweat!!! I get to do ALL that from CorePower! This studio has a great variety of classes and instructors with unique workouts and poses. I never get bored throughout this ten years.... And that's definitely saying a lot! All the instructors here are great. I may be missing some but shout outs to Pilar (studio manager), Stephen, Jennifer, Cami, Brooke, and Robin! All amazing instructors. And so is everyone else! But those are my regulars :) read more

corepower yoga offers a week free trial which was actually very helpful in trying out their different classes. what i really like about corepower is that you are able to make changes to your booked classes up until 2 hours before class starts. i use classpass but they only allow changes up to 12 hours before! so i reallyy liked the flexibility of corepower. how it works is when you get there, you check in with your name at the front desk and then they will tell you what room you will be in, as well as whether you will need equipment (i.e. 2 blocks, yoga strap) which is provided in their class rooms. although i really do enjoy hot yoga, almost all of their classes are heated. i believe C1 and core restore are the only classes that are non-heated. however, the room will still feel warm due to the previous class being heated. this is one of the cons because i don't always want to be soo sweaty after a class. the bathrooms are nice and have showers as well as lockers. there are cubbies in the hallway outside of the classes to store your shoes. as for the classes, i tried out: - C2: good flow level class one step above C1 which is beginner. C2 is still beginner friendly with some more options to advance in poses. - hot power fusion: probably my favorite class they offer. it's a good beginner/moderate level class as well. i sweat the most in this class. - core restore: my least favorite. i would describe this as more meditative. we hold poses for a long time, anywhere from 2-3 minutes. i actually almost fell asleep multiple times. if you are looking for a workout, this is not the class. i did enjoy the ocean drum which the instructor walked around with at the end. read more

Great studio! A little hard to find, but it's upstairs from Old Navy. The showers and overall locker area is great after taking a hot class. The front desk was very welcoming. This is the best yoga studio in the area! Known for its helpful yogis, clean rooms, and amazing workouts, I definitely knew I wanted to try it out. Plus it's right in the middle of the Bella Terra Plaza next to Costco and Kohl's! I went a few times during my 7 day free trial and it has really convinced me to go all in and commit to being a yogi myself. I definitely recommend coming here even if you are new or old to yoga! They are welcoming of all levels and really cater to everyone in the room. I loved the pace the instructors were going at (even as a beginner) and it really seemed like everyone was a part of a supportive community. I got one of the best workouts I've had in a long time and really worked every muscle and joint in my body. Hands down I am so happy I decided to come here. read more

We were not informed that core power classes are all taught in rooms with 90 degree F temperatures. Went twice, once to Torrance and again to Huntington Beach. Same hot temps in both. I'M IN LOVE!!! Located at Bella Terra above ULTA and Cost Plus. I am trying the free week deal because my best friend is a member and has been raving about the CP she goes to in Torrance. I took a class with her there and loved it, so I decided to try this studio since it's closest to home for me. The studio is beautiful, clean, and soo spacious! The front desk greeters were super nice. There are three practice studios, women's locker room with showers, and a huge retail section. There are so many class times, which I love because I'm also on the go and looking to fit in my yoga during the busy days. I took the Yoga Sculpt class with Cheri, who was the sub that day. She said she "came out of retirement for the day" - I really wish she taught more again because her class was ON FIRE INCREDIBLE!!! it was the perfect balance of flow, balance, hiit and core, set to the perfect music playlist that kept three class motivated and pushing hard. You can tell how seasoned of an instructor she is because of how eloquently she speaks and encourages the class to move. Even at the end, her words guiding us into shavasana were enlightening and inspiring - change doesn't happen unless you do! I honestly was almost brought to tears laying there, sweating so much lol, since her words struck a chord with my current life situation. This is probably one of my favorite yoga studios. Everyone here is so kind. My favorite class to take is yoga sculpt and I have only taken it with Cami but she is excellent. Motivates you to get a great workout in and challenges you to keep pushing through. The class can't get a little crowded so I would advise to come early to make sure you can find a spot that you want to be at in the studio. I would also say that no matter what time of day the parking can be a little tricky. Nothing against CorePower though, just show up early to get parking people consistently come and go so if you just wait a spot will open read more

Also the $15 charge is really stupid if you cancel a reservation. Your classes at night at not THAT full. Things happen and come up as much as people would love to attend a class always people have families and run late at work etc you don't need to be punishing people with $15 charges for not being able to make it read more

I've tried many different yoga studios, but none of them compare to CorePower! I've been a member here for several years now and every time I come, I always leave highly satisfied! They used to offer yoga Pilates here, but unfortunately took it out. However, the 1.5, sculpt, core restore, and hot power fusion classes are still really great. The studio here is always clean and organized. There are showers and lockers in the back as well (ask the front desk to borrow a lock). Unlike some studios, the workers always clean the floor before each class begins and the members don't rush in before its cleaned. If you're using a block or strap, make sure you get the wipes to sanitize it before. Also, spray the citrus scent onto your mat too! It helps with relaxation. Trust! Yes, it's pricey.. but it's worth every penny! If you're new, try their 1 week free trial & come early to find parking. The feelings and health benefits you gain after each class are AMAZING! LOCATION: In Bella Terra plaza, on 2nd floor above Ulta & Burlington. I've been to a fair share of corepower yoga studios, but this by far is my favorite one! Not only is it one of the largest studios, but they keep it fairly clean. And that's a big plus for me. They do a floor wipe down after each session (I've seen it with my own eyes) I like to get a good work-out while doing yoga, so I usually go to yoga sculpt classes. My favorite instructors being Lalli B and Cami. You really feel the burn the next day. CONS: Try to take classes whose times don't overlap with others or you'll be facing overly crowded locker rooms, long bathroom lines (only have 2 stalls), & missing weights (for sculpt). One time I came to the studio 15 mins early, but was late to the actual class because the bathroom line was so long after another class ended. read more
