They describe themself as gay/queer bar in their own description, however, I (a man) was kissing another man and was told by the bouncer (who was wearing a pride bracelet) that we had to stop because it was making people uncomfortable. With the dance bar vibes and being a 'gay bar', it's wildly confusing that someone in leadership must be homophobic and could direct the bouncer to tell two gay men to stop kissing. For what it's worth, I've enjoyed the drinks that I've had here. But the bar clearly doesn't know what it wants to be...and based upon my experience, it certainly isn't a safe space for the queer community.

Was in town for work and decided to go here with some co-workers since it wasn't too far from the office and because it was Tini Tuesdays--$5 martinis--yes please--hooray for discounted drinks! Ok----so the sketchy meter was kinda high---considering it's next to a strip club---but meh---such is life. Didn't have any of the food, none of it looked that interesting---regular bar stuff. It projects a crap message: that hookah smoking is equivalent to smoking other things; I'm fine with pot smoking but it's a crap marketing move and it'll alienate some of your clientèle. They have a large selection of flavors to choose from, and tend to be attentive in adding coals. They additionally have a small selection of drinks to choose from, but no external drinks may be brought in. If you like smoking shisha enough, they even sell pipes and tobacco for you take home. While not my favorite place in town, it is opened late to appease the bar crowds. Since many people don't stay out too late on weekdays, this makes Six Lounge a decent place to study at night.

The prosciutto and melon appetizer was served with a large piece of half-burnt toast, the melon was hard and underripe, and the prosciutto was dry and sliced so thick it was difficult to cut or eat. I asked only for a replacement piece of toast, but our server brought an entire basket of focaccia instead. Since we hadn't ordered it, we assumed it was a courtesy replacement. We were surprised to find an $8 charge for the bread on our bill. This was at least our third disappointing experience. Toscana has a lovely atmosphere and wonderful live music, but the food quality and service have consistently fallen short. I truly hope they can improve because I'd like to enjoy dining here as much as I enjoy the entertainment.

One person ordered three tacos, but the order was entered wrong, so they only got one to start, and they had to wait quite a while for the other two. The food was good overall, but the portions were quite small. I did like the Bourbon Street French toast, particularly the caramel sauce. It could have used more bananas though. The fried pickles were good, as were the spicy mozzarella sticks. The steak omelet's sauce was odd. The nachos were good. The coffee and lattes were good. The regular orange juice had less juice than one poured for our toddler. Overall it was alright, but I don't know that I'd go back.
