Bumping my previous review down 2 full stars. Why? Loss of 1-star each for each of the two grumpiest, rudest, unfriendliest old men that have worked in there for forever. I'm not sure if the two old guys are the owners or what, but they could literally not be less welcoming if they tried. We've been going to (and recommending to friends) Cori's for years. Even made a few trips to their (now closed) other location on West End in downtown Nashville. Both locations served the same fare/options and made us want to go to the Mt Juliet spot when we lived there even more. The West End spot didn't make it, but they've been going strong in Mt Juliet forever, it seems. While the food is always good, and there are certainly no limit to the options, toppings, types of dogs/other sandwiches you can get, their customer service and just basic friendliness/APPRECIATION for their customers is PISS poor. Not sure what crab crawled up both the old guys butts, but it is clear they no longer enjoy their job of slinging dogs to the nice folks of Mt Juliet, but to be quite 'frank' (see what I did there), they are both PRICKS. My wife and I have never been anything more than loyal and very frequent patrons, but we will not go any more. They've lost us as customers. They didn't use to be this way, but it's almost like they knew who my wife and I were every time we walked in, because they got so much more rude over time. Who does that when you see your regulars?? We kept coming back and spending more money with you... isn't that a GOOD thing? Apparently not for these curmudgeons. We wonder if it isn't that my wife is a stellar coupon/discount queen and regularly uses a BOGO or 10% off coupon every time we go and they don't like losing money? If you don't want your customers using coupons, DON'T ISSUE THEM. The proverbial straw that broke the camel's back was just a day or two ago. We had moved from Mt Juliet to Murfreesboro and made a special trip all the way back up there because my wife's favorite dog has always been their yearly special "Thanksgiving Dog" which was a turkey dog topped with stuffing, cranberry sauce, and gravy. They've had it every year around this time for a literal decade. When we got all the way up there from the Boro, there was a long line of folks waiting to order, so I (kindly) stepped to the side of the line just to ask the quick question, "Do ya'll have the Thanksgiving Dog?", because there is usually a sign up advertising the special every year and it wasn't there this year. I got the single worst, coldest, and most gruff a-hat response and deadpan stare from the older guy working the grill, "We don't have it." Seriously RUDE. The other older guy running the register looked at me with disdain (like he has every time my wife and I have been in for the last 2-3 years) like I had personally offended them for asking about whether or not I could PAY THEM to buy THEIR PRODUCT. I wasn't rude in return, but my wife and I turned around, walked out, and will not be back in their store or give them any more of our money if that is how they treat their loyal, regular, paying customers. No more, Cori's. Ya'll lost us. If you don't like your jobs or making hotdogs for people any more, close up the shop and find new careers. You making your paying customers miserable because you're miserable ain't it in this market. Crap is too expensive. Onward. read more

Everything was so good! Can't wait to come back and try more. Yum! Had a corn dog which was all beef (amazing!!) and loved that you can get half fries half onion rings. We tried this place as a result of a recommendation. The food was okay. Hotdogs were good! Looked the various options and toppings. Sides were trash!!!!! I love onion rings, mine were severely over cooked, with little signs of an onion left. Fries are HORRIBLE! No salt, overly greasy and worst of all when you bite into them, they taste like a greasy sponge. Service was okay, I wouldn't say friendly but definitely not rude. First time trying this place and when we asked for recommendations, they didn't really give any outside of 'everything is pretty good. I recommend (1) researching the menu on Yelp before you come for recommendations, (2) coming for the hotdog and a drink. (3) Leave the fries and onion rings. I'm not big on the hot dogs, but don't get me wrong, they're incredible! I go to Cori's for their Philly Beef Sandwich! The toasted, buttery grilled bread, a large portion of beef, sautéed onions and provolone cheese, add some sautéed mushrooms and OMG!! It melts in your mouth! Their fries are fresh cut, in house Yumminess!! And I discovered they have fried mushrooms! WHAT?!?! LOVE them!! Lightly battered and fried to perfection! Finish it all off with some freshly brewed sweet tea, I'm now hungry! read more

Amazing and quick food. Price is fair. I went and ordered in, took less than 10 minutes to get the food, and it traveled well to my house. Everything was spectacular. Service was good, and there is a "tip" automatically put on cars which the guy told me about. No issues there. This place rocks. Can't wait to try more dogs. read more

Hot dog so damn good it made me want to hit up First Horizon Park to watch a baseball game (I don't even like baseball!). So scrumptious it made me feel like I was at a 4th of July backyard bbq with Paula Deen! Had no idea a hotdog could be so freaking good! Off their menu, under the "The East," I had the Boston "Hottie" - Chili, Pepper Jack Cheese, and Sour Cream. However, I asked for Cheddar Cheese instead of Pepper Jack and had mine topped off with onions. Additionally, I had their corn dog as well. ALL DELISH!! My wife had the Chicago - Tomatoes, Onions, Dill Pickle Spear, Relish, Banana Peppers, Mustard, Celery Salt, as well as a corndog too. Ok, so I have eaten here a couple times and although the food is good I was very disappointed that you're not given an option to choose your bun type. They use the lobster roll style buns ( mini loaf of bread ) and it over powers the dog itself and detracts from the pleasure of eating it by hand. They need to use ( or have the option to ) use a traditional Chicago style bun or Coney bun for the smaller versions of their dogs. Otherwise you're just eating all bread and not enjoying the true start which is the dog. read more

My son has bought home food from Coris several times and each meal has been really tasty. Everything was hot and fresh, leaving the family with no complaints. As for service and ambiance, I really can't speak to this as I've never been inside myself. I can say that they've been at this location for years and seem to be pretty busy and successful. Always good always consistent. Been here about 10 times and haven't been disappointed once. Love every dog I've tried. Service is quick and generally gets everyone out the door or sitting down with their food quickly. If I had to mark them down for one problem it's that the inside is a little grimy. Corie's Hot Dogs is located in the marketplace at Mt. Juliet so its fairly easy to get access to from a parking perspective. I was pretty intrigued by the menu - it had just about every option you would imagine a hot dog place should have. I ordered a fried cheese stick which had a great tasting batter on it. The cheese inside probably wasn't as hot as it could be but the pepper jack flavor went well with the batter. I also had a hot dog with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese on top. The hot dog itself was flavorful and the bread was just right - almost like a Texas toast bun folded in half - not too heavy compared to the hot dog frank. The best part was the fried twinkie with a little raspberry spread on it. Delicious! The main negative is the seating. It's a smaller place and as busy as it is the seating options are limited unless the weather is good enough to sit outside. read more

Restaurant was nice and clean, staff was friendly. The bread was good, it was like a Texas toast but felt there was a lot of bread in ratio to the meat, it was difficult to eat. Went here for the first time this past weekend and the food was DELICIOUS! I got the Boston "hottie" and added jalapeños. So yummy! I love their buns, they toast them so they have a nice crispy to them. The onion rings are also amazing. Nice and crispy not soggy. read more

FOOD OUTSTANDING. WEBSITE TIME FOR OPERATION IS WRONG. There is no better place than Coris when it comes to corn dogs, Philly sandwich, and hot dog w the most delicious buns and fab fixins. I love this place. Seriously the best hot dog / corn dog restaurant around. Plus outstanding fires mushroom appetizer. I ignore all the push for tips and hope they will ignore I don't tip where I must serve myself. My one disappointment came today. I wanted a Coris Corn Dog so much but was without transportation. Decided the it was worth the cost of a cab. Took a Lyft to Cori's abs arrived at 6 pm only to find the place dark and closed. Their website says they are open until 8 pm. I stopped into Cori's after a glowing recommendation from my good friend. She raved about French Dip and all the different options of hotdogs they have. So I thought I would give it a try. Inside the restaurant restaurant was clean and bright and looked very inviting. The menu on the wall was almost overwhelming; there are so many options to choose from. Dozens of different style hotdogs, plenty of sides and quite a few other sandwiches. They even have fried Twinkies. Should be something for everyone on that menu. I ordered a French dip with a side of onion rings and a Coke. That's where my good experience ended. The French dip with served on a very thick buttery bun which didn't suit me at all. You might like it. I mean everyone doesn't have the same tastes. The roast beef and Au Jus was very salty. Way too salty for me. I don't like salt all that much so again maybe it would suit you. For me it was just too too much. The absolute worst part of the whole experience was the onion rings. I love good onion rings and was very hopeful that these would be good. But they not. The onions were sliced way too thin and over battered. The worst thing was they were obviously overcooked. They were very dark and tasted like they were cooked in dirty oil. I only ate one of them. The rest went in the trash. Pretty disappointing for a $12 meal. I think if you like hotdogs you might want to come in and try one of their literally dozens to choose from. There were plenty of people in line to eat so the place must be popular around here. I didn't like it much though and I won't be back. read more

I've driven by this place a few times over the last two years when you shopping from Murfreesboro. And now I'm just mad I waited to long to visit! As a Michigan kid and a baseball fan, I was eager to try a few things so I went with the coney (a Detroit staple) and an Italian sausage with just mustard/ketchup as I really want to try the quality of sausage. Both were fantastic! The real surprise was the "bun" they were served on...this perfectly toasted bun that reminded me of the bread from Raising Canes, which I love. Quick, friendly service....I would certainly recommend checking this place out. And on a sunny Thursday afternoon, the outdoor seating was quiet, shaded and perfect! read more

The dogs here are awesome! They are so big they make a meal. So many to choose from I see how people get in the wall of fame. One of these days I'll order a sandwich of which they have many but I gotta get through the dog menus first. The people are friendly the place is clean and there are umbrelled tables outside if you want to eat there. I definitely recommend eating at the restaurant and not to go because you want these dogs right away when the buns are toasty and the dogs are piping hot. It will taste good at home but to be at their best without the chance of your ingredients soaking into the bun eat there! We tried this place out when we got to town . We tried 4 different dogs and 2 of the dogs we got didn't have half the ingredients it was suppose to have which was disappointing to say the least. Plus we got fried pickles which were good but you only got a small handful. The hot dogs were good but not a big fan of the buns. They didn't seem to complement the hot dogs at all in fact it seems to take away from the hot dogs. Price isn't bad and is worth given at least a try once. read more

Wow! Stopped for the night in Mt. Juliet and searched for a place for a quick dinner and Cori's popped up. I read the story and reviews and we decided to give it a try. It sure did not disappoint. What a gem! I ordered the New York #2 and fried pickles and hubby ordered corn dog and mushrooms. Everything was outstanding. My hubby said it was the best corn dog he's ever had. Then we had to try their deep fried cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing and they were amazing. Staff members were very friendly. Felt like we were old friends chatting. So I live in Cookeville, and I am always more than happy to drive out here an hour just for this place! Everything about it is awesome! The food here is great! I am normally not a very big hot dog fan but this place has changed my mind for the better. All the different types of combinations that they have is awesome and perfect for people with different pallets. Honestly, there really isn't any specific hot dog I like the best because every single one I have had has been absolutely amazing! But I guess if I had to choose one, from the selection I've had it would be the Memphis Hot Dog, oh MY GOD!! This shit is too good I swear to you, I PROMISE! A lot of places do chili dogs or Chicago style, but Coris has stuff I didn't know you could put on a hot dog! Also a plus, the place is spotless and the people who work there are very kind. Stopped in Mt. Juliet as we make our way from the east coast to TX. Saw the reviews on Yelp for this place and thought it would be great to try out after our 10 hour drive. We walked in, received mumbled, "Hellos," by the five guys that were behind the counter. No other customers, but they still didn't give us any other convo. It was obvious it was our first time as we flitted from the menus on the countertops (with prices covered up) and the mural-size menu (still no posted prices?); no offer of explanation on the menu, suggestions, or any other banter- just silence. That put me off, but seeing a few of the guys with no hair nets covering their bushy beards and no one moving to put on gloves in anticipation of our order sealed the deal. The lack of sanitation practices and the fact they aren't welcoming and polite to their customers sent us across the way to BurgerIM. read more

Great variety of hot dogs. Really good fries and onion rings. They even offer a basket of half fries and half rings. I like the different dogs they offer but I have a HUGE issue with their attention to hygiene. The cashier, touching filthy money, also cooks food without gloves or washing his hands. The fry guy grabs fries to put in the fry basket with his bare hands after he has touched his baseball cap. I just keep thinking it's ok the hot oil will kill the germs. Another worker was sampling toppings as the dogs were being put together. Not sure that is sanitary. I saw a food basket be dropped on the floor, face down, and it was picked up and given to a customer. The tables and chairs need a good cleaning. The staff is friendly but they really need to work on cleanliness. read more

I definitely give this place in A-. It literally is the biggest selection of hotdogs from all over the country. I applaud them for that. I believe they make their hotdog buns in the house.
