4 candied style ribs! More than I could eat.

We drove over an hour to try the food! We were not disappointed. My husband had blackened salmon, ( I don't eat fish) I tried it. I was able to eat it. Very good, not fishy. I had candied ribs with the dark truth sauce... fantastic. The owners were there serving, and very friendly . It's small, and an on taking your food with you, very very limited seating. It didn't matter to us, the food was sms in. Gotta try their coleslaw, it was amazing as well, Definitely, going to be going back!

Salmon was great, ribs were excellent & burger fantastic! Wonderful wholesome family!!! *Top hat wearing cook, beautiful family ~doing their thing, creating yumminess! They were using tallo, before tallo was cool!

Peanut butter banana pudding (u read that right!) F@$&ING AMAZING!!!!

So I have had bbq all my life. The food at the Candied Rib far surpasses ANY bbq I've previously had. Everything looked sinful and succulent. The Candied Ribs were so good that I opted not 2 put any sauce on them. These were perfection incarnate! Easily best I've ever eaten The pulled pork sandwich was incredible! It is savory with what I believe is a homemade bun. One of the top 3 pulled pork sandwiches I've ever eaten. The Peanut Butter Banana pudding was something I've never thought of and it was excellent!! Craig and Lisa were the perfect host/servers/cooks. They treated us like family. Chick-Fil-A could take lessons from these wonderful ppl. I will b back for the burgers, more sides, and the daily specials

    Rack of dry rub ribs!

The Best dry rub ribs in Nashville area. I will definitely be back! Service was Great and the staff were very friendly! Love that they are a Christian business! It is small inside the business and only has 2 tables.

Top: Mac n' Cheese Bottom: Cured Bacon Skewer w/cheese and dark chocolate dips

Best pork ribs we've found in Middle TN. Hands down. We got a few Candied Ribs (sweet-ish dry rub) and a full rack of their Sloppy Ribs. Incredible! Plus, their Cheese-Crusted Mac n' Cheese is some of the best Mac n' Cheese we've ever had. And finally, their Cured Bacon Skewer w/ dark chocolate dip is a combination we never we needed! Two folks running this joint, and the service was 100% on point!

Throughout the meal, they checked in and made us feel truly taken care of. They even came by with fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies straight off the baking sheet and handed them out for free! The food itself was excellent. They offer great Southern favorites like shrimp & grits and fried chicken, but I went with the fried boneless pork chop. It was perfectly crunchy, full of flavor, and topped with a generous amount of delicious country gravy. Portions are no joke -- I only made it through half before I was stuffed. I did save just enough room to try the cherry pie, and I'm so glad I did. It was fantastic. I can't say enough great things about Local Joe's. The hospitality, the kindness, and the food all make it absolutely worth a visit.

Taste kinda like the regular corn bread Coleslaw: too fresh...cabbage was still super crispy Jalapeno fries corn: can see some jalapeno pieces but doesn't taste jalapeno enough Collard greens: ok Overall, a little pricier the the other "Place" down the road. So.... A lot to unpack with this meal. We had chips and queso and salsa. It was good. Salsa was…read morespicy, but not too much. Queso was watery but had a good flavor. I had chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy with green beans. Chicken fried chicken was juicy and cooked well. Not much gravy on it though. Mashed potatoes were good, but the bottom of the mashed potatoes had a huge black portion in it. Not sure if it was bad potato or just had stuck to a skillet or something like that. I did not finish my mashed potatoes. The green beans were different. Tasted like they had brown sugar in them? Not sure what that tangy/sweet flavor was; but was not very pleasing in green beans. I only had one bite of the beans and couldn't eat any more. The cornbread was sweet but very dry. Maybe serve the cornbread with a pat of butter for some moisture and added flavor? My fiancé had grilled chicken breast with a baked potato. She ate all of her potato and just some of her chicken. She said it was good but not great. She did try her cornbread. It was also very dry. We do enjoy coming to this place to eat. The bar area is nice and the beer selection is good as well. First time I had their chicken fried chicken. Probably won't order it again. My fiancé said it reminded her of High School cafeteria food tonight. I would have to agree with that analogy. Do however try their chili and if you like burgers, they have a good Mushroom and Swiss burger here! Not our best experience at Corner Pub, but it was still enjoyable for a late Friday night dinner.

My family and I…read morevisited CP between the lakes for the first time since we moved here and to be honest we didn't even know it was a restaurant until maybe a year ago because it really doesn't look like one at a quick glance driving by. We have little kids so we bring our own booster seats, I tend to request a booth if possible due to having the kids with us. I will say my only real negative here is the fact that the booth is super long (made for a party of 6 or more) and the booth seats are super far away from you. I had to hold the back of one of the booster seats so my youngest didn't send her face into the table since she could very easily tip herself forward with all the space. The hostess was very nice and we were sat immediately, our server met us at the table, and got our drinks almost immediately. We ordered appetizers and kid's food and the kid's food was probably out in less than 5 minutes it was ridiculously fast (in a good way) my kids absolutely loved the Mac & cheese one of my children quite literally inhaled their food. We quickly got our appetizers and I will say they were all good! We had fried mozzarella, fried pickles, and pretzels with cheese. My husband said the pickles were good but he doesn't need to get them again if we come back. I personally loved the pretzels and we liked the mozzarella they are massive but really good the cheese pull is 10/10 Now food my husband got the Smokehouse burger and he said originally it was 6/10 before our waitress brought him a sweet BBQ sauce to go with it and then he said it was an 8/10 personally I tried the BBQ sauce by itself and I was not a fan but thats personal preference. I got the chicken pot pie soup and a side salad which I give both a solid 8/10 - I did try the kid's Mac & cheese and can say it was probably some of the best I have had in a while definitely not a store bought type mac and cheese Now I did see a couple of reviews regarding the claw machine being an issue with their kids based on location but honestly, my kids didn't even notice it, it was all the way in the far corner of the restaurant. Our waitress was quick and attentive, and the location itself was fine other than the massive table size (I did request a booth thats on me) music selection was good. Otherwise, I think it's a definite win for us, especially with how close it is to us, and it's not all the way down in Providence. I will say we did sit close to the kitchen and I don't love that you can see almost everything going on in the kitchen at all times, if I wasn't wrapped in the kids it probably would have bothered me more but it was fine Overall location, food, and ambiance I would give a 7/10

Unfortunately, while the food was visually appealing, the quality did not match the presentation. The women serving upfront were ok. I ordered the fried pork chop with turnip greens, mac and cheese, dressing, and a cornbread muffin. The pork chop was heavily battered and overwhelmingly salty, with little flavor beyond salt. The mac and cheese tasted artificial, as though processed cheese was used. The turnip greens were tender but lacked seasoning and tasted as if they had simply been boiled in water. The cornbread muffin was dry, hard, and bland. The dressing was also very disappointing and lacked flavor. Overall, the meal was extremely underwhelming and not representative of good home-style cooking. I was disappointed with both the quality and taste of the food, especially considering the restaurant's branding. After only a few bites, I discarded the meal entirely. Based on this experience, I would not return or recommend this restaurant. In my heart of hearts, this place gets zero stars...however, I believe that I have to give at least one star.
