What a delightful start to our Chattanooga food adventure!…read more Bleu Fox Cheese Shop is charming, welcoming, and filled with delicious surprises. One of my favorite parts of the visit was meeting the owner and learning that the shop is named after her two children. Those personal stories always make a place feel extra special. We received a beautiful picnic cheese box featuring local cheeses, mini pickles, and a spicy nut mix that kept us snacking happily throughout the day. The standout, however, was the fresh cannoli made to order. I loved being able to choose my own topping, and the shell was perfectly crisp while the filling was rich and creamy. The shop is also packed with local artwork, gifts, and specialty foods, making it easy to find a treat for yourself or someone back home. If you love cheese, sweets, and supporting local businesses, this spot is a must-visit.

Yes, I now all the traditional grocery store operators have their specialty cheese sections, and that's okay, but if you want really unique variety, if you want to understand proper pairings with your cheese, if you want to speak with a real cheese expert, to have some fun with their ongoing events, locally, this is the place you go. It's impressive the shops evolution since their original opening, and you really do want to follow them on Instagram so you are aware of their ongoing events that will not only build your cheese and wine knowledge, but you'll have fun, rubbing elbows with your neighbors. So for this visit, I came into BF to sample their "Sandwich Week" entry, the Brittany, it was absolutely delicious, and while I was there I was able to trade music experiences with one of the staff members, they know more than cheese and wine folks.

The Hot Chocolatier is AMAZING! I'm from the area, and I just never have been able to get to it…read morebefore closing time. Well, I got to go today. I got the S'mores Hot Chocolate. My husband got the Lavender White Chocolate. Both were PHENOMENAL!!! The BEST hot chocolate I've ever had! Even better than my ex-MIL's!!! So freaking GOOD!! The barista who helped us was so kind and so helpful. We would have never tried anything lavender. The place had a really cool vibe. Get yourself to the Hot Chocolatier, PRONTO!!!

I'll start by saying I ordered the white hot chocolate and squirrel cheesecake to go because we…read morewere wandering around town sightseeing. Staff was friendly. There were a lot of options as far as flavors, sizes, toppings, etc. I stuck with a 12 oz white hot chocolate with whipped cream. Now the white hot chocolate was fantastic. It was real white chocolate and it was a nice bit of sweetness. But the cheesecake was unfortunately disappointing. I don't know if it was over baked or over beaten or what but it had a rubbery jello like texture that's not appealing in the mouth when expecting something different. I could only have two bites before giving up on the $9 slice. I'm torn on this review. And this is because I was so excited and hopeful to try the cute hot chocolate place with desserts that I wanted to love it. But was so disappointed with my dessert. The hot chocolate was fantastic and that being their key thing is what I would try again. But I'd probably never reorder a baked dessert from them as they are not necessarily cheap and I wouldn't want to be disappointed when there are other treat options around the area. The space itself is mountainy fun candy cottage vibe. Serves the purpose of having somewhere to enjoy the treats you've ordered inside.

I have a hard time with my rating of G's Detroit Sausages…read more What I love: The location is super convenient on MLK. It's great to have such a niche shop that has a really strong personality and voice. Some of the sausage is really solid. The spices on the food are really nice and well executed. It's a good place to experiment... and discover what "turkey ribs" are -- YUM! What I don't love: The quality of the sausages is decent, but one of my packs had freezer burn, which was disappointing. That really destroyed the flavor. The red beans and rice tasted nice, but was mostly rice. The gumbo also tasted nice, but was more like jambalaya... there was no "gumbo/stew" quality to it. It was a rice dish with some sauce and meat/veggies in it. That was confusing. It also took 27 minutes to get my order of pre-made gumbo. That was frustrating when ordering quick food to go which requires no cooking. I think there's potential for this spot, if the food and service model can be cleaned up a bit.

While we waited for my dad's order of a sausage sandwich, we were treated to free red beans and rice. This had a lot of red beans and meat. Lots of flavor. Then, we read the articles on the wall. The establishment was very clean. The owner shared about his history. The sausage had the right amount of spice. I would recommend this place for catering a picnic. I hope it does well.
