I'm new to Chattanooga Tennessee and I'm trying various restaurants I have picked based on menu and photos on yelp. Today I visited Kenny's for lunch. I ordered the croque Madame sandwich and some french fries. The sandwich was good, but would've preferred a nice layer of béchamel sauce. It seems they put maybe a little inside the sandwich? The fries were very good Perfect crispiness and texture. I will probably visit again to try other items on the menu. Space is open and not crowded by tables and chairs. Service was very, very good. I was there at about 12:30 PM and still got great service. You do have to park on the street and pay a little bit for parking. I absolutely loved their plates. They're the old enameled metal type with Their logo on them. It was $18 for the sandwich and some fries. The sandwiches don't come with a side of chips or fries. In my opinion, That's a little high.
The burrito with sausage was huge, fresh, and delicious. The sausage is made in house and is quite remarkable.
We arrived to Kenny's Southside Sandwiches on a Sunday morning. It was packed. We waited on a waitlist for about 20 minutes until we saw spots open up at the bar. Very causal dining spot. We ordered the Breakfast Hash with avocado and cheese and the Classic Combo with eggs sunny side up, side of chorizo as the meat, potatoes, and biscuit as the bread. Service was very prompt. The only thing that was frustrating was it took the waitress 20 min to get jelly for the biscuit, by which I ate my whole meal. However, everything tasted fresh/homemade. We really enjoy stopped by here to have breakfast during our weekend in Chattanooga.
What a great find! Our hotel had limited breakfast options which was a great thing because we discovered Kenny's. My boyfriend had the vegetable sandwich which he loved and my avocado toast with a tofu scramble was out of this world . I'm going to try to replicate it when I get home, but I doubt I'll be able to because it was that tasty! Our server was so friendly and offered great suggestions, too.
Got the fried chicken with two sides. The chicken was great. Fried pickles were really good with their ranch. The mac & cheese was so bad. The noodles were sitting in a really thin and bland sauce. Had to ask the server twice for S&P to try to help it out. It didn't really help any though. Sat outside with a nice breeze.
I was a little hesitant to eat here for breakfast because I wanted a hearty breakfast experience, and with sandwich in the title, I feared it might be more panini-based. However, it was everything my brunchy heart desired!! I had an omelette and s biscuit; my friend got the chicken biscuit and some scrambled eggs. We both had coffee. The coffee was strong and rich--the flavor was so good that I could have had it with just cream. The biscuits and eggs were all delicious, too! I also really appreciated the friendly charm of our server. All in all, this was a great breakfast!

Love the character of the old building with the high ceilings. Service as always was impeccable, and as I sipped on a tasty Bloody Mary, I perused the menu deciding what might most appeal. I opted to go with an old standard for this part of the country and ordered the biscuits and gravy, which came with a couple eggs on the side. The really unique thing was the biscuit, which was flat and square, great taste, just a really surprising look. The sausage gravy was good, not great, it had pellet size pieces of sausage, interesting look, but it was a distraction from a mouth feel and flavor perspective, it just didn't deliver like those big chunks of sausage I typically find in a great sausage gravy. Overall, a good experience, next time though I think I'll go with one of the sandwich offerings.
Great brunch spot in downtown Chatt! Kenny's has a chill vibe and an awesome menu full of breakfast foods, sandwiches, and sides. Came here with a group of 7 on a Sunday morning and amazingly got seated immediately. Everyone was happy with their food but a few standouts were: The fried chicken platter (so much good chicken!!), the Brisket Reuben, and the pumpkin Choco Chip Muffin with cream cheese. Also loved the turkey and Brie sandwich! Also get the homemade hot sauce!! Service was 10/10 too!

Sat out immediately, was able to pick whatever seats we wanted because there was nobody there. It's a really nice spot, has some indoor and outdoor depending on what you want to do as far as the weather I assume. If it's nice, you could definitely sit outside. It's not super decorated but it's more white in the background but that makes me look at it as if it's very clean there. Everything was speaking span when I came in. I didn't try the coffee but I hit at the coffee was great. They explain the menu to us and gave us some time to look over it and everything looked good. Really good. So good to where you really wanted to try four or five different things but you know that would be illogical lol! I did the breakfast burrito and the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy kind of look like a pound cake lol which was weird, because you used to a biscuit being shaped like a biscuit! The gravy didn't have as much sausage in it, but that's fine, they had little chunks of sausage but it still had a hell of a lot of flavor! Would I get it again, yes! For my main I got the breakfast burrito. It came without avocado but I'll eat avocado so have to leave that off. But I got it with chorizo and it was so well worth it. It got a little messy toward the end, because there was so much in it! As you can see in the picture, it's stuffed to the brim! This was a winner and I would definitely get this again if nothing else! Whenever I come to Chattanooga, Kenny's is going to be a thing! In the hotel we stayed at there were several people that said that Kenny's was the move, I feel like if these people live here, and they said, that means that it must be true! It's not like it's a tourist trap, it's just really good food.

Service was A+! The staff was very attentive and friendly. Biscuits and gravy w eggs was yummy. I got chorizo add on. They use kinda flaky salt as table salt yum. Clean outdoor dining area. I have no clue why it wasn't packed - take advantage of zero wait time now! read more
Stopped in for a quick lunch. It wasn't too busy and we were welcomed immediately but the vibe seemed off. Not sure if our server was having a bad day but got the feeling that she was bummed we sat in her section. Food came quickly but everything was dripping in grease. Sure wish the home potatoes weren't deepfried. They had a slight lemon flavor which was nice but they were not fully cooked or crispy. read more

Kenny's is always going to be on my list every time I come to the area. It's nowhere around it! We were a party of 8 so I understand it can be a bit hectic. However, our waitress totally forgot about one person, didn't put in his order until we mention it mid-meal. The ONLY saving grace was that Brisket Rueben! Good job there - you got an extra star staying out of the 2 zone! BRISKET REUBEN / $13 :: smoked brisket, pastrami, mustard slaw, gruyere, 1000 island dressing, marble rye --- The only thing that would keep me coming back; however, I'd get it to go! Adding that smoked brisket was genius and made for such a tasty sandwich. So then - why the disappointment. Let me list a few: 1) Slow A** service. We came in about 1:30 on a Friday. We needed to kill some time so good thing we weren't in a rush. We opted to sit outside since we wanted to set up in an area that we could open up the computers and go a bit of research about the area. They said the Wifi works great outside, so perfect. We found a table, but none of them were clean yet. So we waited ... and waited ... then someone finally came out and looked at the table and said "OH, do you want me to clean that for you?" UH - no??? Come on - you even had to ask?? Then from there everything took forever - except once we did finally order things came out on time. 2) We opted for some sides: the mac n cheese and hash potatoes. I do not recommend these in any way! The mac n cheese was probably the worst MnC I've ever had. It was the smallest portion ever, the cheese base was basically warm milky water with some butter essence and some melted cheese on top with the pasta being way over cooked. The 'hash' was home fries deep fried alone and sad. They need to look up the meaning of 'hash' - cause this aint it. You should call them square fries instead. 3) The Bloody Mary was also lifeless as well. I'd skip it too! 4) Wifi :: didn't work for crap outside. Maybe it's better inside, but it kept kicking us out. I thought it was my computer at first, but hopped down the road to another spot and presto ... like magic! Worked great, so not my computer. So that's it. Was really sad about it too, since they had such good reviews. read more

Honestly, I had low expectations, and couldn't continue to eat the terrible Marriott breakfast. I thought I'd give this a try, and I ate it the next two days I was in town because it was so good. I highly recommend the breakfast options here, you won't be disappointed! read more

Whoo! Let me tell y'all 'bout the fried chicken at Kenny's! I got that feel-good, lip-smackin', finger-lickin', down-home fried chicken from heaven. Mm-mm! Olivia, she's our absolute best friend, the queen of service, the real MVP! She welcomed us with a smile, made us feel so fine, we're never gonna leave, that's a fact, not a lie! When we walked in, Pump it, pump it, let's get this party started, We knew we were in for a treat, our taste buds departed! Hot and crispy, with that golden, crunchy bliss, I tell you, folks, Kenny's chicken can't be missed! The spices, oh the flavors, they hit just right, Tender and juicy, all through the night!! And Olivia, oh what a gem, she kept the vibes alive, With service so sweet, it felt like we could touch the sky! We came here as we passed through Chattanooga with some friends who recommended it for brunch and it didn't disappoint. The chicken sandwich is incredible. Minus one star because the service was kind of spotty but I'd for sure return if I was in the area. read more
