    Yummy crispy salty fries
    Beth B.

I'm new to Chattanooga Tennessee and I'm trying various restaurants I have picked based on menu and photos on yelp. Today I visited Kenny's for lunch. I ordered the croque Madame sandwich and some french fries. The sandwich was good, but would've preferred a nice layer of béchamel sauce. It seems they put maybe a little inside the sandwich? The fries were very good Perfect crispiness and texture. I will probably visit again to try other items on the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Space is open and not crowded by tables and chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was very, very good. I was there at about 12:30 PM and still got great service. You do have to park on the street and pay a little bit for parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I absolutely loved their plates. They're the old enameled metal type with Their logo on them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was $18 for the sandwich and some fries. The sandwiches don't come with a side of chips or fries. In my opinion, That's a little high.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We arrived to Kenny's Southside Sandwiches on a Sunday morning. It was packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We waited on a waitlist for about 20 minutes until we saw spots open up at the bar. Very causal dining spot. We ordered the Breakfast Hash with avocado and cheese and the Classic Combo with eggs sunny side up, side of chorizo as the meat, potatoes, and biscuit as the bread. Service was very prompt. The only thing that was frustrating was it took the waitress 20 min to get jelly for the biscuit, by which I ate my whole meal. However, everything tasted fresh/homemade. We really enjoy stopped by here to have breakfast during our weekend in Chattanooga.

What a great find! Our hotel had limited breakfast options which was a great thing because we discovered Kenny's. My boyfriend had the vegetable sandwich which he loved and my avocado toast with a tofu scramble was out of this world . I'm going to try to replicate it when I get home, but I doubt I'll be able to because it was that tasty! Our server was so friendly and offered great suggestions, too.

Got the fried chicken with two sides. The chicken was great. Fried pickles were really good with their ranch. The mac & cheese was so bad. The noodles were sitting in a really thin and bland sauce. Had to ask the server twice for S&P to try to help it out. It didn't really help any though. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat outside with a nice breeze.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was a little hesitant to eat here for breakfast because I wanted a hearty breakfast experience, and with sandwich in the title, I feared it might be more panini-based. However, it was everything my brunchy heart desired!! I had an omelette and s biscuit; my friend got the chicken biscuit and some scrambled eggs. We both had coffee. The coffee was strong and rich--the flavor was so good that I could have had it with just cream. The biscuits and eggs were all delicious, too! I also really appreciated the friendly charm of our server. All in all, this was a great breakfast!

Biscuits and gravy, with a couple nice fried eggs

It's been a bit since I had visited Kenny's and when I felt like a late Sunday afternoon breakfast break, I decided to swing on by. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great location on Market Street in one of the old store front's. Love the character of the old building with the high ceilings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service as always was impeccable, and as I sipped on a tasty Bloody Mary, I perused the menu deciding what might most appeal. I opted to go with an old standard for this part of the country and ordered the biscuits and gravy, which came with a couple eggs on the side. The really unique thing was the biscuit, which was flat and square, great taste, just a really surprising look. The sausage gravy was good, not great, it had pellet size pieces of sausage, interesting look, but it was a distraction from a mouth feel and flavor perspective, it just didn't deliver like those big chunks of sausage I typically find in a great sausage gravy. Overall, a good experience, next time though I think I'll go with one of the sandwich offerings.

Great brunch spot in downtown Chatt! Kenny's has a chill vibe and an awesome menu full of breakfast foods, sandwiches, and sides. Came here with a group of 7 on a Sunday morning and amazingly got seated immediately. Everyone was happy with their food but a few standouts were: The fried chicken platter (so much good chicken!!), the Brisket Reuben, and the pumpkin Choco Chip Muffin with cream cheese. Also loved the turkey and Brie sandwich! Also get the homemade hot sauce!! Service was 10/10 too!

Kenny's is always going to be on my list every time I come to the area. It's nowhere around it! We went bright and early, I think it was almost 8:00 in the morning so there were a lot of people there on a weekday. Sat out immediately, was able to pick whatever seats we wanted because there was nobody there. It's a really nice spot, has some indoor and outdoor depending on what you want to do as far as the weather I assume. If it's nice, you could definitely sit outside. It's not super decorated but it's more white in the background but that makes me look at it as if it's very clean there. Everything was speaking span when I came in. I didn't try the coffee but I hit at the coffee was great. They explain the menu to us and gave us some time to look over it and everything looked good. Really good. So good to where you really wanted to try four or five different things but you know that would be illogical lol! I did the breakfast burrito and the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy kind of look like a pound cake lol which was weird, because you used to a biscuit being shaped like a biscuit! The gravy didn't have as much sausage in it, but that's fine, they had little chunks of sausage but it still had a hell of a lot of flavor! Would I get it again, yes! For my main I got the breakfast burrito. It came without avocado but I'll eat avocado so have to leave that off. But I got it with chorizo and it was so well worth it. It got a little messy toward the end, because there was so much in it! As you can see in the picture, it's stuffed to the brim! This was a winner and I would definitely get this again if nothing else! Whenever I come to Chattanooga, Kenny's is going to be a thing! In the hotel we stayed at there were several people that said that Kenny's was the move, I feel like if these people live here, and they said, that means that it must be true! It's not like it's a tourist trap, it's just really good food.

Absolutely delicious food. I had the Veggie melt which is a unique and so delicious. My husband had the ham and cheese omelette and he said it was one of the best he's ever had. And the fries! Hand cut and delicious. We were driving through on a road trip. If we head this way again we will definitely stop!

Since it was our first visit and everything on the menu spoke to us, she helped steer us in the right direction. I ended up ordering the pistachio croissant, and honestly... I'd go back for that alone. It was warm, huge by croissant standards, and absolutely heavenly. I even grabbed another one to take home because Future Me deserved a little happiness too. We also tried the raspberry lemon danish, which was a delicious combo, but the pistachio croissant stole the show without breaking a sweat. We started with the poutine, and while it wasn't the traditional version I've had before, it was incredible. Instead of cheese curds blocks, it came with pulled pork and melted cheese, and somehow it just worked. Comfort food with a little Southern flair. For breakfast, we had the ham and cheese omelet with breakfast potatoes. It was exactly what you want it to be--classic, satisfying, and impossible to regret if that's your usual order. I also tried the Liquid Gold juice. Their juice selection is impressive, but I may have accidentally found my forever order on the first try. It was so refreshing, with just a hint of ginger. For a hot drink, I highly recommend the London fog. I'm not usually a tea fan but if you don't want coffee, this is an excellent option. Before we left, we picked up some of their salted caramels to go, and they make the perfect little gift... assuming you have enough self-control not to eat them all in the car. The vibe here is upscale southern diner. One of the signs on the wall said, "All are welcome, but you need to act right," and honestly, that's the kind of life advice we could all use. I also really appreciated that parking was free. In Chattanooga these days it's hard finding a place where you don't have to scan a QR code, download an app, and pay to park just to eat. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Milk & Honey is absolutely worth a visit...and if you're debating the pistachio croissant, stop debating and just order it. Your only regret will be not getting a second one.

We spent some time outside before being seated, but the food and service made it worth it. I stayed in my carrier throughout the meal and was able to join my humans indoors. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and never made us feel out of place. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was lively, and the service was attentive even though the restaurant was busy. Now for the most important part of this review. While enjoying brunch, I witnessed something I never expected to see: a baby goat riding around the restaurant in a pet stroller. At that moment, I realized Chattanooga may be one of the most pet-friendly places I've ever visited. Between the great food, kind staff, and unforgettable people-watching opportunities, Milk & Honey ended up being one of our favorite brunch stops of the trip. Dogba's verdict: Excellent brunch, friendly service, comfortable carrier dining, and unexpected goat encounters. Five paws !

We got the Mexican Ceviche to start as it had shrimp. It took a long time to come out, but was so good and worth the wait. The cojita cheese was unique and went well with the dish. We also didn't have enough chips, but htey brought us more free of charge to polish off the rest of the ceviche with. For my entree, I got the Parilla steak and shrimp and it was a large portion. The sauce was amazing and the potato crisps were a nice touch. It took some time to pay as well as that was the theme of the night, I think they were understaffed, but otherwise a great experience.

We didn't know and went straight to outdoor seating, which worked out because we got a table and about a minute later we figured out the ordering process. I ordered the chicken salad croissant for my wife, then the California club for myself and then I had to order quiche Lorraine for the table. I had filtered tap water for my drink and my wife had a can of Diet Coke with a slice of lemon and ice in a cup, provided. Service was pretty quick, between our order placement and table delivery it was 7 minutes. The quiche was custardy inside with a delicious hint of caramelized shallots to go with the bacon and cheese/egg filling. The bacon did not overwhelm. The crust was perfectly baked and a nice flakey crust. The accompanying arugula and onion salad dresses with oil and vinegar and seasonings was an excellent pairing of freshness with the richer quiche. This is a big hit, as expected when advertised on the menu as "available until sold out." The California Club was on 6 grain toasted bread with an avocado spread and aioli, bacon, turkey, tomato and lettuce. I really liked the balance of each component in this sandwich, such that nothing dominated the flavors and each distinctive was individually identifiable in the contribution to the whole sandwich. The portion was just right. The chicken salad was also good, but was the bronze medal winner compared to the other two. The croissant was flaky, but not too much. The chicken salad had just a hint of lemon and was not overwhelmed with aioli, just the right balance. This was a fantastic meal. We liked this so much, we chose to buy two loaves of bread to go, a Chattanooga Sourdough and a garlic Parmesan and also a 5 lb bag of in house ground bread flour. I need one of these in Greenville, SC, my hometown. Last thing to note, you bus your own table and there is a dish basin nearby the outside dining area in which to place your dishes. This was an excellent lunch spot. The staff were also friendly and patiently helpful. This is a must visit spot when visiting or living in Chattanooga!

They also have a refrigerated grab-and-go section with fresh juices, rice paper rolls, chia seed pudding, and a lentil casserole. The glass dessert case is full of vegan treats like peanut butter and chocolate cups, bliss balls, and donuts. The menu is extensive with tons of great organic vegan options. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough (they also offer gluten-free and multigrain) with cashew cheese and a side of chili. I also got a beet juice, a lemon lavender muffin, chia seed pudding, and a decaf oat milk latte. The sandwich was pretty good. The bread seemed really fresh and I enjoyed the cashew cheese. The side of chili had a slight twist that elevated it above most regular chili recipes. It was good, but had a little too much corn for my taste personally. The beet juice was delicious and a generous portion. The desserts were just okay, but I appreciated that they weren't overly sweet and didn't have any weird ingredients. Honestly, it's just so nice knowing your food has no weird ingredients and everything is organic! The only downside was the coffee. Honestly, it was probably one of the worst I've ever had. Maybe it was just an off day or a mistake, I'm not sure. Everything else was good though! I would definitely recommend this spot. The decor is really cute and inviting. I love that they offer plenty of seating options too -- indoor, an enclosed outdoor patio, and an exterior exposed patio. Logistical Notes: Parking was super easy with a lot right out front.
