It's been a year since we were here and of course it did not disappoint. The menu has changed and they took off my crab cakes was very sad indeed but everything was still delectable. Our server Trevor was on point and always cleaning our table and refilling our water. Each dish was cooked and seasoned to perfection. My taste buds were having a party. It was a fate night for us and it was special the whole time for us. We were seated towards the back which was somewhat closed of which wasn't bad and have us more privacy which we liked. Website was beautiful and tranquil. We will continue to come here for special occasions.

Food, Service & Ambiance was 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for upscale dining experience in Augusta. I even got to customize my dish. I got the Elk with the tamarind eggplant which was from a different dish and the glaze paired so well with the wine (Caymus) and the elk over top. I will definitely come back. Spent 400$ but we got 24 oysters, full bottle Caymus, two desserts, 2 appetizers. 2 sets of palate cleansers inbetween courses and 2 main courses. I believe that's a really great deal in my opinion. It was my bf birthday also.

Cork and Flame is where the FLAME is!! From the atmosphere, food , and service were top notch! Our server was very informative on the food and drinks selection and made sure we had what we need. Their food was amazing and do yourself a favor, ordered their wagyu dumplings, fillet, king salmon, and mouth watering melt in your mouth wild boar! They gave you palate cleanser after each meal and our family LOVED it! They have a wine celar for those wine lovers out there. We came during master (April- Spring Break) and they incorporate one of their ice cream (one of the palate cleanser) with the master theme local fruit special. Our family loved their dessert too and deconstructed apple pie is a must! If only I live close by, this restaurant will definitely be in our repeat place to eat!

Work Friends chose to have my Birthday dinner and CoWorker's Birthday dinner here. It was a group of 8. Pros: Ambiance is nice, pretty intimate. Customer Service was good. We had reservations and was seated timely. They provided Rosewater warm towels to clean our hands before eating. They also gave us a shot (non alcoholic) of something with pineapple and said it was to prepare our pallet for appetizers. It was really good. We also received a spoon of Raspberry Sorbet to get our pallet ready for dinner. It was also good. Mock-tail/Wine/Cocktails were good per everyone who ordered one. The shrimp appetizer was delicious. The Wedge Salad was delicious. The brick chicken was delicious. The salmon was THE BEST. The Pork Chop was good. The Bison was enjoyable. The Boar was not a hit! The desert was good, from the Deconstructed Apple Pie to the Crème Brûlée. They cleaned out pallet from all the food by providing Cotton Candy- it wasn't overly sweet. Just right to end the night. The cons: Slow Service, but we appreciated food cooked when ordered. Shared Bathroom, I went in after a male who left the seat up- that's crazy when I'm paying almost $100 for dinner. No refill on soda, but we did get refill on Tea. Dinner selection was limited. This was my second visit. My 1st visit was in exactly 2 years ago. I will come back, it's just not a place I will eat on a regular basis! The experience is worth at least one visit!

I have been in Augusta for 3 years now and was always wanting to try Cork and Flame but never got to it. When I found out there was going to be a work event here, I was ecstatic. I ordered lobster bisque, bison steak, and chocolate pave for dessert with the Johnny Appleseed seed cocktail. Lobster Bisque (4/5): The lobster bisque was super rich and creamy with just a touch of brandy to lighten the dish. It had decent lobster flavor although I wish it could have had a few more pieces of lobster. My only other thing I would change in this dish would be for them to reduce the salt by a little bit. It was noticeably salty to me and I found myself needing to drink more, although with how much I enjoyed the Johnny Appleseed cocktail, it wasn't a problem. Bison (3.5/5): I ordered this dish as recommended by the waiter. The bison came medium rare along with a little bit of elote with charred corn, cotija and chimichurri overlying it all. The bison was a neat alternative to regular beef steaks. It was noticeably leaner though, making it much more chewy than beef steaks. Unlike the bisque it could have been just slightly saltier as well. The chimichurri added some acidity to it and was refreshing. The elote was a nice pairing. Although I am used to elotes with cream/butter and heavier on the cotija cheese, this had a nice clean taste. Chocolate Pave (5/5): I enjoy desserts that aren't too sweet and, if chocolate flavored, are more bitter and dark. This chocolate pave definitely met those criteria. It felt like they used a very high %cocoa chocolate to make this that was decadent and perfectly bitter. It was like a fancy, not overly sweet fudge. The raspberry sorbet was nice and tangy to balance out the chocolate pave. Overlying the pave, there was a chantilly cream that was lightly torched and this also helped balance out the heavy dark notes of the chocolate pave and added a soft foamy texture as well. Fantastic dessert that I would order again. I enjoyed the Johnny Appleseed cocktail. Refreshing apple and cinnamon flavor that was perfect for late fall/winter. Service was excellent here. Our waiter Thomas was very helpful with any questions we had and was very attentive. With the excellent service, the quaint ambiance, and the solid food options from appetizer to dessert, it's no wonder why cork and flame gets the great reputation it does in Augusta. I would definitely return in the future.

Cork and Flame is the top tier restaurant to come to for a fancy night out on the town. The restaurant itself is a perfect size for an intimate evening and the open kitchen gives you a welcoming feel to see what's going on. Our waiter, Paul, was so incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and specials as well as really created an elevated atmosphere for our dining experience. While the prices are higher for this restaurant (because it's a fancy place so not unheard of) you also get so many little touches with your experience : rose water cloth for your hands before the meal, honey two ways before you get started, raspberry sorbet palette cleanser, and cotton candy at the end which are included with the meal. Paul also made sure to check in at the proper times as well as take the crumbs off the table after every course. Bread was delightful and came with butter on top of pimento cheese spread. I had the market fish which was potato crusted trout, and the other person in my party had the boar ossobuco with risotto (which was off menu but we were so happy it was available). If you can get the boar, GET THE BOAR, I will dream about that boar. We also got the brussels sprouts which just melt in your mouth, they were amazing. We ended the evening with regular coffees, which came in a french press one for each of us, a cute little set up with our own creams and sugar. Overall food was amazing, atmosphere was wonderful, and shoutout to Paul and the chef for a top tier dining experience, it's really nice to have a place like this here in Evan's for special occasions.

It was another stop on our year long 30th anniversary year, and Cork & Flame didn't disappoint! If you are looking for a fantastic dining experience and great ambience, this is your place. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and welcoming inside, loved the decor thru out. We where seated with a sparkling glass of wine, this was a sweet surprise. Our waiter was a gem, he made our evening memorable and was very attentive at all times. Our courses came out in a timely manner, all the food was presented well, tasty and prepared with love. Remember they are a fine dining establishment, so the plates aren't large. We enjoyed salmon, the duo with vinixen, bison meals, with squash and rabbit dumpling soup, so yummy! Honestly we were well pleased with the portions and treats along the way. Our evening was indeed one to remember. I forgot to mention that we loved the small plated treats during the evening, we really enjoyed them all! And yes, that's hot Rosemary scented towels before our meal! We will be recommending you all and its a must for us to return in the near future! Tip: make reservations, they do have a large wine bar selections if your not wanting to eat a meal. I've been here multiple times for special occasions and regular dinners as well as brunch. No matter when I come the service is top notch. To me I think that is what sets it apart as a fine dining restaurant vs an expensive place to eat. Besides that, the food is great. Its one of the best places to eat in Augusta with a menu that changes every so often and has a few creative dishes on there. There are also exotic types of meat available if you choose to try them such as kangaroo and bison, elk, wild boar, just to name a few. My favorite things to get for the current menu right now are the scallops app and wild boar entree. The boar is so tender and the meat literally falls off the bone. You also get a huge portion as well. The honeyed carrots that come with the boar surprisingly stand out in a good way in the dish too. I always make it a point to get dessert here too. As you can see, the desserts are fun and tasty too. I tried the apple (very pretty) with mousse inside, and the deconstructed apple pie as well as the table side s'mores. The s'mores are so fun to have cause you can toast your marshmallow over the mini fire. And lastly I always look forward to the cute cotton candy tree. I am very happy that our town has such a great option for dining and great chef and staff. Looking forward to coming back again.

Went for a celebration of passing my NCLEX-RN exam last Friday. First time to visit this restaurant, the place was nice and inviting.. The food is exquisite!!! I think this is one of the best foods i've tasted here in Augusta so far.. every coarse of food, they served some appetizers-ish which is really great idea. They require dress code as well which I don't know lol, and you need to book a reservation. The only downside I can say is the location of table they gave us which has no view at all and we feel that we are outcast from the crowd. (We seated at the end corner, you will see at the picture, no nice background for picture taking). The staffs are friendly and nice., Looking forward to go back but hoping that they don't give us the same table they did . Highly recommended to try this restaurant. read more

Cork and Flame was a go-to restaurant for celebrating an anniversary or birthday. Always enjoyed a great meal with interesting presentations throughout the meal. However, on my husband's last birthday: 1). we were seated in the front room, amongst the wine being sold to patrons leaving, 2). Our waiter was inattentive and said our favorite wine was unavailable (we later found , and bought, two bottles to go). 3). But the reason we may never go back....my husband ordered a rib eye and it was sub par. The cut was thinner than most and full of gristle. I hope our last experience was an exception, not the new rule. It's been six months and my husband still turns his nose at the thought of spending that much money on another visit to this former favorite. There were three of us that evening, and the two other meals were delicious, but we had no between course cleansers as we previously enjoyed. We seemed to be an afterthought...Someone please tell me things are back on course! read more

My partner and I came here for Valentine's day and they were having a special menu. To sum up the experience: delicious, care-free, relaxed and fancy atmosphere. I was very impressed with the vibe of the restaurant - it felt high end but I still felt comfortable enough to relax and have an amazing night. The food was to die for. Everything I tried was delicious (with a four course meal and trying my partner's food too, there was a lot). Specifically the pork belly and filet mignon were some of the best dishes I've ever had. The picture attached is the appetizer (I didn't get good photos of the rest because we were enjoying ourselves too much to take photos) but don't worry, I left stuffed Not to mention the Valentine's day themed his and hers cocktails were delicious and super cute. We ordered everything we wanted at the beginning and they brought it out at just the right time every time - completely care free on our end. 100/10 recommend for a nice dinner! read more

Came in one busy weekend and they seated me when they didn't have to. Loved everything from start to finish! The lamb was tender and full of flavor. Not overdone which is a plus. The tiniest of sweet carrots packed a big punch and the potato soufflé was creamy and satisfying. Now on to the pièce de ré·sis·tance: The Chocolate Torte. Heaven inside my mouth! If you're looking for atmosphere, great food and excellent service, THIS is the place! I've never been an adventurous eater, but at Cork and Flame, I've stepped outside my comfort zone and tried new things! I have yet to be disappointed. I never thought I would like Mussels or Ostrich or Quail or Water Buffalo...but these are just of the few "new to me" dishes I've tried so far and each one has been delicious! The service is unbeatable (and I'm BIG on great customer service!). Everyone from the front door to the kitchen is friendly, knowledgeable and fun. The wine bar is cozy, friendly and full of great wine selections. Perfect for a romantic dinner, a girls night out or just to spend time with friends. This dining experience was phenomenal!! My husband and I came here for a date night while I was visiting him in Georgia. This was the perfect date! The food was absolutely delicious. My husband got the filet mignon, and he said it was the best meal he has ever had. I got the scallops, which came with risotto and asparagus. So good! We finished everything off with a deconstructed apple pie. It was the perfect way to end our meal! The staff went over the top to ensure that our dinner went smoothly and that we had everything that we need. We will definitely be coming again! read more

Giving 2 stars because I tried to book, there are couple seats are open , we are outside the restaurant so we just decide to go in instead of book , guess what there is nothing available 2 min later , luckily Cathleen who works at wine section comes rescue , so we sat on the back of wine tasting section , while I was picking up wine from shelf , I run into my neighbor , she just got a table , no reservation, this is shocking . I came here for a wine tasting and ended up ordering dinner as well. I would say the wines and drinks are great. However, the food was served in very small portions and just wasn't amazing in my opinion. I had heard great things and was excited, but left feeling underwhelmed. The service was amazing and the restaurant is obviously very classy. I'm not sure if I just ordered wrong or came on a bad night, but would give this place another try. read more

WOW. I expected to have a good meal, but I wasn't thinking I was going to have such an incredible experience. Before I go any further, I suggest making a reservation. I made a reservation at 6:30 on a Saturday night, and I don't think we left the restaurant until almost 10PM. We were having dinner with some friends we had not seen in a while, and they were so kind in allowing us to take our time ordering, and enjoying all the courses. To start: Wine. If there is not something on the list that you want, feel free to go pursue the wine shop and pick something out. First Course: Our table had the charcuterie, the mussels and the giant prawns. Beautiful presentation on all 3 and they were delicious, and devoured. The mustard cheese and jam on the charcuterie were quite a nice change. Second Course: Bread Service, and the C&F Salad. Again, delicious. Third Course: Scallops, Pad Thai, and Filet Mignon. Steaks were perfectly cooked. The guys agreed the Pad Thai was very nice, and my husband really enjoyed his scallops. It is nice to be able to order unique dishes in Augusta. Something that I really appreciated, was the note on food allergies. As someone with quite a few allergies it was nice to have a restaurant take mine seriously and be willing to make substitutions. I am allergic to onions. This means scallions, etc.... So many places will "leave out" the onions only to put scallions or shallots all over my food. Service was very good, ambiance was upscale, overall we had an amazing experience. This is THE new place to dine in the Augusta area. read more

We had reservations at 6:30, and were seated promptly. Entrees finally served at 8:00 pm, service great, food tasted good.... Issues 1.5 hours to get entrees, not acceptable ... food warm not hot. I wish the issues did not exist. Unique high end restaurants that lower their standards typically are not unique anymore. read more

Starting with the positives, this place is absolutely beautiful inside. Every detail is practically perfect. It is really nice to have a nicer restaurant that we don't have to drive downtown for. Our service was great and he was very clear that they are still trying out new menu items and are seeing what works. That I appreciated. The Parisian carrot veloute was delicious and I appreciated that the server was able to explain what it was similar to when I asked. It was a delicious creamy fall-ish soup that was delicious with the homemade brioche bread. My friend got the pineapple salad and it looked quite interesting but it was delicious! She ordered the baked brie as a dessert and I would gladly order that again after I tried a few bites. I ordered the chocolate pot de créme that had candied walnuts (I think), caramel and fresh fruit. It was perfect. What I didn't love this time around: the Nigerian prawns ($15). The presentation was fine but the dish fell really flat. The flavor on everything but the prawns was okay, but I just did not love the dish. The meat seemed chewy to both my friend and I and also seemed extremely overpriced for what you actually got. Also, the cornbread was just fine. Will I be back? Yes. I can't wait to try more on the menu. Just wouldn't be able to recommend the prawns to anyone and wouldn't order them in the future. I also appreciated the comment cards and that the chef and I assume manager stopped by to check how everything tasted. There is nothing like this in the area and I really hope it succeeds. read more

I don't have a single complaint! Hands down the best food and most amazing costumer service in Augusta! This is a MUST! Beyond kind hostess and server, complementary champagne while we waiting for our table, great cocktails, lemon grass hand towels to clean your hands pre and post meal, lavender butter with honey to awaken your palate and a eucalyptus cotton candy to cleanse the palate after the meal and everything in between was phenomenal! Looked like a nice place! We did a quick google search to find a bite to eat after the park. Walked in and I noticed we were in athletic wear. I asked if there was a dress code they said yes! I had no problem with that. I live in ATL so very custom to it. The issue was I was told I could eat outside (I'm black) lmao. Negative. I would train staff to communicate that a little differently. Wish nothing but the best! read more

Most amazing food! The restaurant is a suit and tie kind of place but totally worth the dressing up. You will spend some money but once in a while we all need to done like royalty. They are usually packed full of beautiful people. You will have top tier service and your taste buds will never taste anything so good. This place is a one of a kind restaurant. Ate here for my birthday dinner tonight. Exquisite service from Andre, extremely flavorful food, and an elegant, intimate atmosphere. Started out with the espresso martini which was delicious. We then got everything on the vegetarian menu, and we were blown away. The pumpkin curry soup and pakora were divine, but the Brussels sprouts stole the show. I would have never thought to put strawberries and pineapple with it, but wow. It worked so well. They had a warm rose infused towel before our main items, and two small palette cleansers (honey for one and an açaí sorbet for the other). We were much too full for dessert, but they brought us a complimentary cotton candy over a bed of eucalyptus. Our table neighbors had their own mini fire for roasting s'mores. We arrived 15 minutes early and we escorted out back to the cigar and whiskey tasting. This was presented as a special event for the masters. We were given complementary cigars and then seated for a whiskey tasting. The whiskey however was not complimentary. We were told (after it was poured ) that it was $90.00 per shot! Classic bait and switch. The sort of behavior one might expect from a mob run strip club. The food arrived after waiting an hour and a half. The fare is a cheap impersonation of high cuisine. We resisted the temptation to order the gold flecked aged $500 tomahawk steak. It's understood that prices are high for the Masters but this was a disgusting experience. read more

Instead, these folks took a vacation to see their child graduate out of state while the employees were asked to volunteer their time to keep their restaurant open. The most ironic thing about it all is that they most likely voted in the very person who sunk the economy so bad that they could no longer stay afloat. What happened to this place? I've frequented this restaurant on multiple occasions for the past 6 years. I used to love the fine-dining atmosphere and only traveling 15 minutes down the road instead of catching a plane to Atlanta. It felt like the flagship of this town, developing and evolving alongside Augusta itself. From client meetings to sales events to anniversary dinners, I could always rely on them to provide a wonderful experience when I needed to impress. Now, they've fallen derelict. The once epicurean delights now more closely resemble shallow sensualism. There is no nuance to the menu or the pairings. The once-evolving menu and dining experience that kept me excited for each visit are now replaced by a chicken dish I grew surfeit of 5 months prior. The staff are no longer attentive and informed but simulacrums of better staff long past. They were once the heart of the experience, but now seem disengaged, and the soul of their service seems to have slipped away. They are hollow and robotic, and offer nothing to the experience aside from an awkward trepidation that distracts those of a more sensitive nature from any enjoyment, and leaves the inattentive wondering "what's up with the weird vibe in here? They must be new." All this could still allow for a passable elevated-dining experience, but the reasons for these changes, as have been revealed to me by several friends still employed inside, embarrass me for having ever been proud of this establishment. This is all alleged and hearsay for legal reasons. The employees' glazed looks and the current chef's inattention make sense to me now in the context of drinking on the job, vaping in the bathroom, and more intense drugs. The lattermost leaving white powdery residue on the bathroom counter one evening for several guests to witness and report to their tables' residents, prompting the recipients to excuse themselves for personal investigation then. I can only guess how many of the staff still work regularly while under these psychotic states--and only revel with apprehension at the thought of potential contamination, past and present. The founder of this restaurant and Inicio, located further within, apparently had to take leave and flee across the Savannah River to found a third restaurant after, and again, this is all hearsay and allegations, engaging in gross abuse of power to say the least. This can all be corroborated by looking at the Reddit thread about the place, posted a little under a year ago. To know I EVER supported these actions, no matter how indirectly, with my money and commendations for his place of business, is something I will always regret. Since the founder's departure, the new head chef, much like the other staff I mentioned earlier, is a poor replacement. I cannot say this new chef is even earnest in his efforts, so I will not be vague when I say he has no sense of culinary direction. I could wax as I did above on the dearth of L'équilibre in the amuse-bouche, or the underdeveloped goût apparent in every dish, or even the way he mistakes tyranny for avoir de la poigne; but to put it plainly: You would be better off going anywhere else but here. There are, at least, 5 better fine-dining restaurants and numerous others for a hearty bite to eat. This place has no reason to exist. I would say to do better, but I don't see them ever recapturing the illusions that once enraptured me. read more

We had a reservation but had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Our 3x2 ft table separated by the next 3x2 ft table was hardly romantic. It was extremely loud and hot. The air conditioning vent continually dripped on my husband's arm and he had to move to the 1 ft side of our table. Our server continually addressed me and practically ignored my husband - enough so we made a game out of it because at this point, it was just laughable. They did add a nice touch of offering complimentary champagne for our anniversary however, the server poured my glass about 3/4 full and my husband's less than 1/2. The crispy artichoke appetizer was delicious. I had the C&F Burger which was pretty tasty but the meat was very dense and tough. It had a double patty, which I thought was unnecessary and hard to eat. I ended up taking off the second patty. The house made chips were fantastic. My husband had a Delmonico steak cooked to perfection. The server cleared our plates while she told us about the desserts. She tilted the plates just enough for the steak juice from my husband's plate to drip all over his arm. We ordered creme brulee (our favorite) for dessert. It was topped with the traditional sugar caramel crust and candied cherries. Mine was perfection! My husband's just the opposite. His custard was hot, not just warm, but hot with pieces of scrambled egg throughout. A sign that the eggs were not tempered correctly. The server tried to explain that the flambeau sometimes increases the temperature of the custard. No. Mine was perfect (and had 2x the amount of flambeau that my husband's had - we joked again.) They took his custard off the bill. While the food was decent, the cocktails amazing, the service and ambiance were lacking. It seemed as if someone went to an upscale Midtown restaurant one time and thought they could build one in Evans. It may be better suited for a girl's night of cocktails and appetizers at the bar. read more

I have only dined here once since they opened a few weeks ago and I am dying to go back!!!!! We came in rather late in the evening while the restaurant was still busy and were immediately greeted by the hostess who seemed busy but very attentative. We were seated in a timely manner and our server greeted us very quickly, explaining the menus & specials for the evening before hustling off to put in our drink orders. My group ordered quite a bit from the menu so that we could pass around and taste a little bit of everything. The food service was quick and the service staff did a great job keeping our table bussed. The vegetarian selections are amazing, and the pakora and the pad thai were two of my overall favorite dishes (I'm not a vegetarian). The mussels are by far the best I've ever had, the filet was perfectly seasoned & unbelievably tender. We ordered one of each dessert available to share - they were all so great but I think the black & blue pie was my top pick. The restaurant cleared out quite a bit while we were there and the staff stayed busy but never made us felt rushed to leave. I loved the decor and ambience, great music as well. We sat near the grill and were quite enterained by watching the chefs work. Everyone in my group was impressed especially considering the fact they just opened! Food was decent. We had the charcuterie plate, scallops, burger, and black and blue pie. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The burger was mediocre at best. The fries with the burger were larger cut, and they were cooked halfway at most. They could've been cooked a little longer. Service was less than desirable. We had reservations and were seated at a communal table. When asked to move, we were told the other vacant tables were saved for reservations -- which we had one. Regardless, we made the best of the communal table and enjoyed our seating. At times, we filled our wine glasses and had to request different servers to fill our water glasses. We asked for butter and were promised multiple times, and it was never delivered. It seems the servers are overworked and don't have time for the individual tables. We waited over 30 minutes to receive our check. Overall, this restaurant has tremendous potential; however, they still need to work out some of the kinks. The worst part: we sat near the kitchen and watched the cooks place meat items onto plates with their bare hands. They used their bare hands to place and reposition items. It was quite disgusting to view. They'd simply wipe their hands on towels looped at their waists when done. read more

The sign was up for a number of weeks on Portage Ave Winnipeg. We waited over a month before trying. The restaurant looks nice inside but that is as far as it goes. Sevice was lousy. we got a glass of water and 10minutes later the waiter bought the menu. I asked if they had beer on tap and was told yes, he even gave me a choice 5 later he came back and said no beer on tap just bottles. We ordered a burger and my wife ordered chicken fingers. We were not told about the special. Then we waited 40 minutes later and they bought the meals. chicken fingers were probably from Costco. Prices were high. I met some work friends from dinner on a Saturday night. It was my first time going there. I was impressed the minute I walked into the door. The decor is stunning! Our waiter, Paul was superb and very professional! Then the food came out. The steak was cooked to perfection!! The collard greens where the best I have ever eaten. Ambiance. Taste. Presentation. This place is exactly what Columbia county needed. If you want a truly good upscale dining experience, this is the place to do it at. Love Cork and Flame. Went last night with friends and had an amazing meal. The appetizers were delicious (Brisket, Chorizo stuffed Dates, Scallops & Whits Asparagus).
