I really don't like to say disparaging comments against any business, but i think they should hear the truth about my experience. Things they did right : The service was good and staff was attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant, although music was a bit too loud to be a classy restaurant. Things that went wrong: My wife's food and my food were not warm. Had to send hers back. They reheated it in a microwave. Waiter said he'd speak to kitchen about mine, but nothing changed. Just ate it anyway. The fact that our reason for coming was our anniversary, didn't mean much. My dish was the chicken and kale. Kale was gritty . Unwashed , and overly salted. Wine pours for a basic wine , were skimpy compared to other nice restaurants I've been to. For the prices charged for everything compared to food quality and experience, I wasn't overly impressed . For those prices , I expect better quality. This is my 3rd time given them a chance and I only go because the group wanted to try Cork and Flame. On my own this wouldn't be on my radar. read more

Let me first start off by saying, this is a restaurant is a gem! Visiting Augusta for weekend from NYC and this was the highlight. The food was incredible! The accouterments, starting with truffle soup, homemade lemon sorbet mid meal and ending with a gourmet version cotton candy. The cassava rolls were light, airy and delicious. Next delicious salmon perfectly cooked with a smoky bok choy. Our server, Allison, was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable- and it was her first night! Very trendy fine dining! As I walked in & was escorted through the wine market to the private outdoor seating for our party of 10, my first reaction was, am I still in Augusta?? The level of service, ambiance, and presentation was a nice surprise to the usually frequented Augusta fare. I highly recommend requesting the private outdoor patio which is beautifully lit with stringed lights and tiki torches, making it a very intimate setting and covid safe. read more

Soooo yesterday was our 1 year Anniversary and my husband made reservations for us to finally have dinner at Cork and Flame . The reservation was for 4PM. We arrive and notice it's just us and the staff and a friendly woman said we don't open until 5 but let me get the manager. So we meet Ray and he says that really strange but let me check something. When he looked at our reservation it was Cork and Flame Canada! Ray was SOOOOO sweet and accommodating and told us although they were booked, come back and 5 and he would be sure to have a table for us. We came back at 5, the young lady that sat us wished us a happy anniversary! We were treated royally and although Ray is a manager, he personally served us! I mean this was the BEST experience I ever had! Did I mention that EVERY drink and morsel I had was PURE heaven. The atmosphere made us feel like we actually did travel abroad LOL. I couldn't of asked for a better first anniversary experience than this. So wonderful and the staff is very lovely and attentive. No one missed a beat. Okayyyy review time!!!! Last night we adventured into fine dining. Only my sister is accustomed to this type of dining choice. We are amateurs. Our chosen place was Cork and Flame on Evans to Lock road in Evans. Before I go any further, if you cannot afford fine dining, this is not the place for you. I don't even want to talk about the bill. We were a group of 7. Now, if you want the full catered experience, then I invite you to give them a try. When I tell you that you will be pampered that is not even close to how they make you feel. If anyone is wondering, yes this is my first fine dining but definitely not my last. I have two more scheduled in the csra . I am usually a hidden gem type of girl but I am expanding my pallet. With that being said everything we consumed was interesting, even the items brought to prepare our pallets for the experience. The wine choices were extensive. We tried the bison, wild boar, dumplings, rabbit, salmon and a host of desserts. Now for photos so you can see. I don't take the best pics so bare with me. This was indeed an exciting night for me. This is the best fine dining experience around here. We were seated promptly. Our waiter Chris was excellent and tipped accordingly. The remainder of the staff was equally customer-oriented. The food is delectable from starters to desserts. Vegetarian options are available. The scallops were seared perfectly. I could eat this daily! The al dente nero linguini with seafood had a generous portion of seafood in a creamy red sauce. The tender red meat was cooked as ordered. It paired well with the sautéed sweet potatoes and green beans. The sides (green beans and risotto) were also delicious. The homemade coffee crème brûlée topped with a marshmallow was devoured in an instant. So great that there was no picture taken... The Aquilas Pinot noir and Cabernet Sauvignon glasses from California were pleasant. I would gladly reorder them. The pristine modern industrial decor is lovely and relaxing. I have to say, this is the best strip mall restaurant I've ever been to! The inside is half wine store half restaurant, and the restaurant side has a modern decor that's really welcoming. Our server was extreme knowledgeable and gave us some really stellar recommendations. My boyfriend started with the Pakora (Vegetarian), and those were delicious. Not sure greasy and they gave you plenty, so we shared it. The mint dipping sauce was good, but I've never had a better tamarind sauce-not even at an Indian restaurant. It was amazing. I actually opted to do the three course vegetarian meal, and since he got those I got the Pumpkin Curry soup. That had soooo much flavor, it was amazing. I've had pumpkin curry before and plenty of Indian curries, but this was totally different. I can't quite place my finger on it, but don't care to because it was amazing. We even dipped some pakora in it! For my other two veggie dishes, I tried the jack fruit bbq and the Wellington. I have tried to like jackfruit and have bought it from the store, even, but Cork and Flame has turned it into one of my favorite things. It was like pulled pork but just slightly different. I also really enjoyed the polenta fries that came with it-they weren't greasy and just have a really subtle flavor. The mushroom Wellington dish was a total home run!!! The puff pastry was flaky and delicious on its own, and the mushroom filling was just stellar! I would love to press repeat on that whole meal!! My boyfriend got a Filet that he was equally impressed with. (Neither one of us loved the harissa carrots, but they were served as little balls which was fun). We thoroughly enjoyed the Smokey & the Bandit (scotch) cocktail, and the Smirking Priest (coconut bourbon), but that one was super strong. They also had a Johnny Appleseed cocktail that's great for the cooler weather. It was basically mulled cider with bourbon. That was amazing-we each got one and split a second. We made it known we had a concert to attend 2 hours after reservation. Our meal was not served until an hour and a half later. The pomp and circumstance was ridiculous. We ordered a regular old fashion with Woodford Researve Bourbon. No muddling of the cherry, orange and sugar. Instead we received simple syrup with bourbon and bitters upon request. My husband ordered the lobster bisque with literally 3 pieces of lobster the size of half of a dime. My husband also order the special surf and turf with a filet and lobster at $72. He received a tough steak 1" thick with a tiny lobster tail that looked as if someone had smashed it flat. I ordered the scallops. The scallops were to the point of burnt on one side and the other side was not seared at all rendering the scallops half cooked. Neither meal had one ounce of seasoning. The Brussels spouts were really good. The rice and beans were tasteless. The cream brûlée was good but not what you expect of cream brûlée. The custard was thin and very dark in color. Our total bill with tip was $280.00. We will never return. read more

They say it's 1/2 the size of a normal portion but I strongly disagree on the entree. The 1st & 2nd courses I can see. The dessert was full size. I think I'll stick to a la Carte. read more

I happened to make a reservation here with my partner after a long day at work just for date night, and we were both pleasantly surprised at how great the service and food were. I liked the night bar vibes it was chic and modern despite it being at a strip mall. They are also generous and had 2 lovely palate cleansers between courses, 1 with popping boba and a spoon of kulfi. I ordered the shrimp vindaloo for 1/3 of my courses, and it was probably my new favorite menu item. It was tangier than the usual vindaloo and almost had a buffalo sauce quality. Course 2/3 I got the vegetarian gnocchi, which was deliciously cooked in puree, I did eventually get board of the flavor, so it might need a bit more acid and heat. I adored their lavender panna cotta for dessert, but I was also looking forward to the cotton candy tree I read about on yelp. Unfortunately, I did not get one but I guess it's an excuse to go back. My partner tried the rabbit dumpling soup, the special with 2 exotic meats which he felt were great. He got the pumpkin spice tiramisu for dessert which had quite the strong pumpkin flavor if you're into it. read more

I wasn't that busy at that particular time. 45 minutes after ordering, they brought up a single piece of sausage on a plate. The rest of the orders were brought out on individual plates at staggered intervals. all of it was cold. We did not order tapas... There were 2 women at a table next to us in a similar boat...only there entrees, Meals and deserts were brought out all at once and plopped into their tiny table. Also all cold.
