This was our first visit after hearing great things about this restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal here! The restaurant was a little quiet when we arrived and we were greeted right away to a table. The staff were very kind and gave great suggestions. I ordered the gnocchi bolognese and it was very delicious. I had the limoncello spritz requested less sweet which came out perfect. My group also had the fiocchetti appetizer which was a nice balance of cheesy, sweet and salty. It's filled pasta bites of cheese and pear purée with a cream sauce and crumbled prosciutto. For dessert we all shared the chocolate lava cake with extra ice cream. The flavor was exactly what we hoped and it was nicely warm. We are excited to come back! read more

We had a wonderful date night at this hidden jewel. It is unfortunate that others have not found it but for us it made for a quiet cozy night! The server was friendly and knowledgeable, the owner introduced himself and was very pleasant and helpful too. I have a gluten allergy and they are very accommodating. They have a lot of options. We had a fried calamari that was done separately and either gluten free breading, tasted delicious. I also had a tricolored beet salad with pecans and goat cheese that was so yummy! Plenty of each ingredient and dressing! The Chilean sea bass was a great choice to split bc there was plenty for both of us. It is a 6 ounce filet and the sides were mashed potatoes and asparagus. Nancy and I stopped by to celebrate Christmas in July, hosted by Linda Schultz Realty Inc. We received two free drink tickets and several food options - cheese and pepperoni pizza, alfredo pasta, and meatballs. They also brought out delicious fresh cannoli for dessert. All the food was provided by Cork and Olive and was very good. The drink tickets gave us access to beer, wine and all of their wells. They also had a homemade sangria that was very good. I stuck with well whiskey with ginger and the bartender poured the liquor heavy, excellent job sir! Staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean. The restaurant is somewhat hidden on the backside of the plaza so if you were not looking for it specifically you could easily pass them by. They have a great selection of wine and variety of Italian dishes to choose from. Appetizers and soups run between $6-$19 and Entrees cost anywhere between $19-$60. It can be pricey dinning here but if you're looking for something upper scale versus the typical Olive Garden or Mom & Pop Italian experience, the Cork & Olive might just be the place for you. read more

This is an Italian restaurant in lake Mary. I had the gnocchi bolognese and the wife had a variation of this with a thicker longer noodle. Both delicious. I had the cork.and olive mule that uses spicy ginger beer. Our server was very nice stating what makes them unique and what we should try without being pushy. The atmosphere is low lit quiet romantic with great decor. Light music in the background They are a little pricey I would say about 70 a person including drinks no dessert. Absolutely incredible experience at cork&olive. I was in town for work from Miami and popped in for dinner. While sitting at the bar I got to chat with the owner. My family and I go to the cork & olive at least once a month for family dinner and we love this place. The owners really make you feel like family. The food is fantastic! I have tried most of their menu options and there is nothing that I have ever gotten that I didn't like. The bruschetta and the Caprese salad are both favorites of mine. I also highly recommend the pasta, it's made fresh and you can tell. The dessert is also great, especially the Tiramisu. It's very family friendly, but is also a great option for a date night. We met for a family dinner last night and had high hopes based on the yelp reviews. Not sure what restaurant these glowing reviews were about, but it sure wasn't this one. We were told all the pasta was made fresh daily. It was like chewing rubber. Not Al dente. Rubber. The texture of the chicken parm was tough. Good chicken parm should be tender. Other dishes that were sub-par were the fra diavolo and lobster ravioli (frozen lobster was used). For the lack of food quality the prices were outrageous. It was Taco Bell at Ruth Chris prices. We were a large group that came for dinner and we had a fantastic meal. We started with one of each of the appetizers and they did not disappoint at all. With the wine and cocktail selections it was very filling and we really enjoyed sharing all of the items. The server treated us like we were family and did check on us often, but not to make it like they were interrupting our dinner or conversations. For my entrée I did the lobster ravioli. It was good and enjoyable, but not the best I have ever had. I didn't send back and I ate all of them, but just not the consistency I prefer. Decided to try this restaurant for our anniversary. We did make a reservation but when we got to the restaurant It was pretty much empty. It might've been because it was just two days after the holidays. The owner is very nice very friendly. Our wait staff was very attentive. We tried the appetizer sampler. The bruschetta was very good, but the other items were kind of lacking and were very small portions. I ordered the chicken piccata. It was OK. I would've preferred to be more lemon in flavor and more capers. My husband ordered the meatballs with bucatini pasta. He ate the meatballs. He felt that the pasta was too chewy and the sauce seemed like it was just made out of tomato paste. I did have a glass of wine that the waitress recommended according to my pallet and it was very nice. I did think that the meals were overpriced for the portion size; while the plate was large, the center of the plate was sunken down, which is where the food actually was making the portion size relatively small for the price. A group of gentlemen came in about 20 minutes after we had got there and were at the bar area. The overall feel for the atmosphere was that at someplace to go to drink and purchase wine not really have an intimate dinner. So overall it was OK but nothing to rave about. read more

The live piano on Saturday night added to the relaxing atmosphere and we played Name that Tune as we dined. The waitress told us the table was ours for the night and helped us relax and enjoy a leisurely meal. Next, the owner came by multiple times to chat and help us choose our wines. This was our first time visiting. The reviews here on Yelp and Open Table just do not add up to the experience we had. The owners (I assume) are very nice but it stops there. The moment we arrived I was asked how we heard about them and then again by someone else when we were seated. Seemed kind of strange the way it was done. The description of a cocktail I ordered did not match what we received at all. When I asked about it, there was no resolution so I just didn't drink mine and neither did the other person at the table that ordered the same drink. The portions are very small especially the size of the one piece of chicken everyone received with their Chicken Parm or Chicken Picatta. It's one little thin piece of chicken over a bit of pasta and everyone's dish was dry. The meatball appetizer is two regular meatballs with a strange taste to them. Nothing like any Italian meatball we have ever eaten. I truly am not sure why they don't try to serve some other style of food and give up on the Italian items they currently offer. This just is not authentic Italian cuisine. The room needs some decorative touches to warm it up. It's just a dark open room. Nothing on the walls and most not all of the ceiling tiles are missing.
