I ordered the Steak and added 3 shrimp, they were really small, I didn't expect jumbo, however, they were tiny. The Steak I ordered medium, it was really good and cooked perfectly. We went to Ruth's Chris several weeks ago. It was so good we returned. The Filet was the softest piece of meat that I ever had. Cooked to perfection. Everyone in my party of 5 felt the same. No one stopped by to see if we wanted to start ordering either. Once things got underway, we started to get apps, sides and entrees quickly. I get that it's tough with a group this size, just bummed as I've had other good group experiences at Ruth's Chris before (not this location). We came in for an early dinner and ate in the bar. Ruth's Chris is pricey, but you get what you pay for. I ordered the meal classic (starter, entré, one side, and dessert starting at $66). I got filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly, and it came with a huge Caesar salad. My only complaint is that our mashed potatoes all arrived cold, but our very attentive server was quick to fix the problem. I got a lychee-flavored cocktail and it was great, too! Great happy hour spot. It's been a while since I have been here. Of course, we started with a few drinks. Did skew from my usual expresso martini to try a house cocktail. It was a pomegranate martini similar to a cosmo. It was really good. For food, we ordered a French onion soup which was Awesome!! Missing pic though. I went for a filet sandwich which was in a toasted garlic french baguette and came with a dressing which I ordered on the side. Didn't care much for the dressing but meat was perfect. I have been here twice for dinner. The valet parking is nice if you are feeling lazy. The service is excellent. The ambiance is neither tired nor new. For a chain steakhouse experience, I have actually been to ones I would never go back to. Obviously, being here twice already, this is not one of those. The Caesar salad is wonderful. If you get a baked potato, you can build it out at the table the way you like it. The roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon, honey butter are great. Not the best I have had, but pretty close. Ruth's Chris is the establishment that will leave you with your tummy full, your wallet empty, and your brain wondering whether "the fine dining experience" was really worth it or not. It was my parent's 31st wedding anniversary and they wanted to celebrate at a fancy restaurant, so they eventually settled on Ruth's Chris Steak House. The people were friendly, the service was alright, and the place definitely felt fancy. The dining room was huge with generic, fancy-looking furniture. The food wasn't bad...but I'm not sure if the price is justified to be honest. I ordered the ribeye with the cremini mushrooms. The steak was a perfect medium and the seasoning was spot-on. The cremini mushrooms were the perfect side to pair with the steak and helped balance the dish and prevent the monotony of eating just mouth-fulls of meat. All that sounds great...but with the price of just those 2 things coming out to over $80 and the service and ambiance not truly leaving a mark on our experience, I don't know what we're truly paying for. The food was good at the end of the day, but I also can't help but think that I could have gotten something similar at an Outback or something but at half the cost. I will say they did give us a free dessert for my parent's anniversary which was nice, but I still stand by my previous statement. There are better "fine dining" places that do more for you and will leave you more satisfied spending that pretty penny you saved up for. At least the food was good though! read more

Great experience. My husband and I visited this location for date night. The inside is beautiful and the service was spectacular. I had crab cakes and the lobster mac and cheese. The prices are warranted for the sides because they are huge and if you love mac and cheese you can really eat it as an entree. My wife and I went to the Lake Mary location which they have Happy Hour from 4-6pm everyday. You can't beat that. We enjoyed the truffle fries, prime sliders, Barbecued shrimp, and Prime meatballs. Everything was so delicious. Nothing was left behind. I ate it all as my wife didn't eat much but did sample some. I enjoyed the Whiskey sour of course and she had the Lychee Cosmo. Decided to change things up for Thanksgiving this year and let Ruth's Chris do the cooking! We arrived about 20 mins early for our 6:30 pm reservation and the place was packed! Busting bar, busy foyer-but they still seated us right away! We went to the main dining room and when I tell you we have been to this location for years and have NEVER seen it so packed with people before, I am not exaggerating. There is NO WAY that dining room could accommodate people with canes, walkers or wheelchairs. Not enough room between tables for the servers even! It was loud and people were dressed VERY casually. We ordered the stacked salad, Caesar salad, petite filet, regular filet and NY strip with creamed spinach and au gratin potatoes for sides. Of course, they brought bread as well. I got the rocks Rita and my daughter got the pomegranate martini. The margarita was definitely made with fresh lime juice. So so tart. No sweetness at all to this drink. The martini was sweet and very tasty. The steaks were cooked to perfection of course, and the sides (while smaller than we remember) were fine. All in all, we prefer the steakhouse across the street from this Ruth's Chris location, in atmosphere and food quality/presentation. This is a good place to eat-it's consistent, but in an area with multiple great steakhouses, this one just doesn't do it for me. Our server, Brittany was a doll and very attentive. read more

We have been dining at Ruth's Chris since they were in The Decor Center on Douglas in Altamonte Springs 35 years ago. They have had ups and downs throughout the years like many other chain restaurants. Usually they are excellent both in food and service and it justifies the prices they charge. I can now recommend the restaurant again. The bar happy hour is pretty good, but nothing like it was even a year ago. Very few food choices, and no real bargains. But the food is back to top notch and the drinks are comparable to most of the higher end restaurants in the area. We plan on having dinner again soon, and I'll give it more thorough impressions when we do. read more

Had a large party of 8 for a corporate dinner fairly early in the evening at 5:00pm on a Saturday. Valet was very friendly and greeted me at the door. We started at the bar while we were waiting for everyone to arrive and had some drinks. The beverage selection is extensive with an array of options in every price range. Once seated we waited a few minutes and our server arrived to provide drinks to those that had most recently arrived and had not yet ordered a beverage. Appetizers were ordered including the Ahi Tuna, Goat Cheese and Artichoke Dip, Stuffed mushrooms as well as the normal bread basket. All of the appetizers were exceptional, although I would have like to have the tuna with an accompanying ponzu or soy sauce of some kind. Out of all the appetizers, the goat cheese dip was by far my favorite. Entrees were ordered along with sides for the table. We selected thee different steak selections (22 oz Cowboy ribeye, 8 oz Filet and 16 oz bone-in filet) the Garlic crusted sea bass, and several other items. Everyone was happy with their meals as well as the temperatures of their steak. The sides included roasted brussels sprouts, au gratin potatoes, sweet potato casserole and cremini mushrooms. For dessert, we had an assortment of items including the bread pudding. VERY unimpressed and probably the only item of the night I actively did not enjoy. Small, not very flavorful and overall disappointing. There were actually more strawberries on the plate than there was bread pudding. The other desserts were cheesecake (good), Chocolate sin cake (good) and crème Brulee (also good). The espresso came with a sugar rock candy stir stick which I thought was a nice touch. Stopped in for Happy Hour at 4:00. They have a Happy Hour on Sun which is unusual for most area places. They are usually only M-F. Ketel One Lemon Drop martinis are on the menu and one of my favorites. No, that's not a short pour, I just remembered to take a photo after enjoying some of my cocktail. lol. They have a decent food offering for Happy Hour as well. Jacob behind the bar, makes some great drinks. My partner is having the blueberry Mojito and said it's great. Giving this establishment 5 stars because of the service during happy hour by Destiny. Destiny provides exceptional recommendations and makes a fantastic old fashioned. I am a big bourbon fan and I am extremely picky about an old fashioned but she reassured me she makes a excellent one and she does. Happy hour is first come first serve in the bar only. Monday to Friday only, I believe from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. Just wish they had more appetizer options for happy hour. I just wish they had a better selection of high end bourbons. Would love to see a bourbon food pairing dinner with bourbons/cocktails. The tuna was excellent. Also, a fantastic recommendation by Destiny. The wedge salad was also excellent. We came here for the Freemark Abbey tastemaker dinner, which was an excellent experience. It was our second visit to this Ruth's Chris and chose this location because they had that event at a time that was convenient for us. It's the 3rd farthest for us, but we do like the location better than the outdated (early 2022) Winter Park Location, which the events fill up faster. The service was pretty excellent for the meal. There were two waitresses serving the table and they did a great job and were super courteous and made you feel like they enjoyed serving you. One actually served the Mrs. some extra Chardonnay in a coffee cup during dessert since she enjoyed it so much. I just had coffee as I was the DD. I will say they missed the mark with seating at this event. Previous events were set up with each group having their own table. This was one big long table where you sat across from your guest. It worked out well, but they brought out the bread and they did NOT give each couple their own loaf. I'm pretty particular and they couple who "shared" our bread picked up the loaf and ripped off a piece and set it down and offered the plate to us. Bad manners on their part, but a big mistake on Ruth's Chris to even put us in that position. I'm a germaphobe by nature and know that you should ONLY touch the bread that you will be eating. Not only is it common F'ing sense, but it's proper manners. For everyone's benefit (courtesy of maggieoldham dot com): "If the table if offered a baguette or uncut loaf of bread to share, the host or person closest to the bread should use the cloth napkin (that should come in the basket or wrapped around the bread) to hold the loaf while cutting three or four pieces. Your fingers should only touch the part you're taking." The sides were also served family style and were placed confusingly on the table so you didn't know what to take from. They should have just had sides for two and share with your partner. It was just odd how they served it. The filet was done a perfect medium-rare and the pizziola style for the event was divine. The peppers had a nice spice and flavor too. I won't get into every dish, but all were quite tasty. We haven't dined from the menu here, but I will say the Tastemaker Wine Dinner series of dinners are excellent. The prices are high and the quality of the meal was not as expected. We both opted to try this inclusive option. We started with the crabmeat stuffed mushrooms, which was served warm. This was not on the inclusive menu. The stuffing was not very flavorful and was primarily bread and celery. I could not taste the crabmeat. Next, we had the lobster bisque, which tasted like canned soup and was served warm. We asked if we could switch to a salad, and the server was very courteous and made this change. The ceasar salad dressing was not very good, and as a result, I did not finish my salad. Next was the entree of a filet and a lobster tail. I had a side of grilled asparagus with hollandaise sauce for an up charge of $5 because the meal option only offered creamed spinach or mashed potatoes. My friend had the creamed spinach. My steak was supposed to be medium rare, and they missed the mark, and my fiends was supposed to be medium well, and hers came well done. She sent it back, but the next steak was cooked unevenly. The steak lacked flavor and the asparagus as well, but the hollandaise sauce was good. Lastly, was the dessert and the choice was a bread pudding. The dessert did not appear to be made at the restaurant. It seemed something purchased in bulk for ease of service. This dessert was ok in taste and appearance. Overall, we were disappointed with the quality of the food for the price. The servers were courteous, and I was pleased to see a diverse workforce, but with the prices, warm to cold food with lack luster flavor, it will be awhile before I circle back. read more

Kept getting happy hour ads on social media so we figured we'd give it a try. Typically go here for dinner on special occasions, so this was a change for us. We got a few beers, started with free homemade chips that are really good. Then we got a cheeseburger and steak sandwich and ordered medium burger and medium rare steak sandwich. When they brought it out, both were medium well. Told Jacob our server, but also said it was tasty enough as is and not to bother with sending it back. The only reason for the 4 star is in regards to the meat preference we asked for, not even being close. We took a pic of our last bite to show how the items were grilled, but honestly we didn't mind. Three of us had dinner last night at the Lake Mary location. Staff headed by Jacob and his assistant Matt. We were waited on as soon as we sat down and offered water and bread. Ordered our drinks which came very quickly. Jacob was very attentive but not intrusive-just the right amount while we savored our drinks and caught up. We all ordered the petite filet. One with Brussel sprouts the other with their delicious creamed spinach. The steaks were cooked perfectly to our requested doneness. Ruth Chris' steaks are the best/outstanding for quality and tenderness. We had read some recent reviews which were negative but decided to go based on our prior experiences over the past years. Lake Mary , Florida February 2021 I went to visit a relative on 18 February and dinner was on our mind as neither of us had eaten all day. She lives in the Orlando area and there were a plethora of restaurants at our disposal. She opted for Ruth's Chris Steak House nearby. I had never dined at a Ruth's Chris Steak House before because the one in downtown Chicago where I was formally a life long resident did not have free parking available. Valet parking was available but I never leave my car with a Valet. Sorry , but parking is a pet peeve of mine ( long story ). As I long had a desire to dine at a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse I quickly agreed to her suggestion to dine there. It was a lovely evening with temperatures in the 70's. We arrived and I parked in the free private parking lot. As we approached we noticed dinners enjoying the weather by dinning outside. Prior to making our entry we both donned our Masks as if we were two desperados preparing to rob the place. Silly , I know. But hey , I'm a silly guy. Upon entry we were greeted by a Masked Waiter who guided us to an inside table where we quickly removed our masks. We ordered appetizers and placed our dinner orders simultaneously. Nether of us ordered an alcoholic beverage. We drank water. She ordered the Lamb Chops as her entree and I ordered the 16 Oz New York Strip Steak. Our food arrived and she thoroughly enjoyed the Lamb Chops but only ate half of her dinner and boxed up the other half for take home. I managed to finish three quarters of my 16 Oz. Steak and tossed the rest. The Steak was good ... but ... ( there's always but somewhere ) it was too salty. Butter & Salt are a good cook's best friend but sometimes over doing it alters the taste AND the experience. Oh well , there is a Ruth's Chris in Estero , Fl. closer to my new home.
