Boca will always hold a special place in my heart, as the first time I met my husband was at the Winter Park location. While the WP location is special to us, Lake Mary is much closer, so why not try it out?! Our party of five had a 5:30pm reservation and even though we arrived early, it was no problem to be seated. The company has done a fantastic job at decorating and laying out this location. I love the vibes! We all took advantage of the limited time Magical Dining menu. The portions were a lot bigger than I was expecting and everything was phenomenal. Some highlights were the pork tenderloin, lobster wontons, and donut holes with caramel dipping sauce. Our server, Jose (I think), was very kind and patient with our slow to order group. He checked on us multiple times. Boca Lake Mary might just be my new favorite restaurant in the Orlando area. We had an 8pm reservation for magical dining. There were 7 of us and we had a nice table in the back. The restaurant was very busy and the noise level was extremely high, so not ideal for families it seems like but fine for our party. Our server was Matthew and from start to finish he provided excellent service. He was very polite, never made it seem like he didn't have time for our table even though the restaurant was packed and he was most likely dealing with many patrons and their needs. The food took quite a while, with our main entrees (everyone got the butchers cut) coming out just around 1 hr or after we ordered. We're patient so that was no problem, but the steak was chewy and super rare when they told us it would be around medium. The fries were decent. Avocado aioli was good. The garlic aioli tasted like flavored sour cream. The lobster wontons were mostly cream cheese. As for dessert - they ended up being out of the brûlée and the orchard crunch. Matthew so kindly heard our requests for alternatives and checked with the kitchen to substitute for affogato, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. We werent impressed by the food, but we did have a late reservation so maybe earlier wouldve provided a better tasting experience. There weren't too many positives to mention during this dining experience but Matthew definitely helped us enjoy our time at Boca even though the food wasn't terrific! read more

This experience was a mixture of hits and misses. We went out for brunch. This is a nice location with an inviting atmosphere. I ordered a mocha latte and the server said they have chocolate syrup and she would try to make. It tasted good but I thought it was odd not to have a mocha latte on the menu. Next we had two appetizers, the fried tomatoes that were luke warm with a cold spread or jam on top. They had a good flavor but it was off to have that it served with a cold topping when you would expect the tomatoes to be hot. The lobster wonton were delicious and were served hot. For our meal hubby had eggs, sausage gravy and bacon. He said it tasted good. I ordered steak and eggs with potatoes. The only part that was hot was the fried eggs. The steak was luke warm and slightly under cooked served with cold under cooked wet potatoes. I ate some of the steak and took the rest home to cook it to medium rare. This is the first review I've written since I moved down to FL 6 years ago, so there's def something to this place. Went here for the first time with my partner and our friend a few days ago, and we're back again tonight. The food is great (flatbreads are solid and the pasta dishes are comforting and tasty) but the standout is the service. Everyone, from the bartender to the wait staff, is incredible. Friendly, warm, attentive, hilarious. The waitress that served us a few days ago came over to say hi today and make small talk; was so fun and personable and genuine. I can definitely see this as my new neighborhood place in Lake Mary, hopefully for a long time to come. I've been to Boca winter park and I would not give them five stars. This new lake Mary edition is great! We stopped on a whim on Friday night and got the last two seats at the bar. The people watching was excellent. Alexis took care of us. We had waters and menus right away. We decided on the purple reign and the welcome to the jungle. Both cocktails were fantastic. Our second round, we got the tableside smoked old fashioned and I asked for the hibiscus martini without the St Germain (because it would be overly sweet). Alexis was given authority to make the cocktail as she wished, given they have a staff cocktail which is whatever they wanna make, so I figured she would know what to do. And indeed it was fantastic. We decided to share the pork tacos. It's a two piece so it's simple. It was full of juicy meat and delicious. We cut the corn off the Cobb and enjoyed it. We opted for dessert- the vanilla orange creme Brulee. The sugar was slightly burned and it was not overly sweet. It was good consistency. It would have been better with a dollop of whipped cream - Alexis ran to the kitchen to find some but they didn't have any!!!! I think that's nuts. But I applaud her effort. We sat among regulars. They have lots of tables, a large bar, and even a private area if you have the need for it. We got two mocktails because we were participating in dry January. I got the passion fruit Boat Drinks and my wife got the Hibiscus Nojito. Both drinks were really good! To start we got the French Onion soup and the Pig and the Bee flatbread. Both were really tasty. The French Onion soup was nicely balanced with the perfect amount of cheese on top. Next time we'll ask for more croutons. The flatbread was delicious!! It was the thinnest, crispiest flatbread I've ever had with the right amount of toppings. The salty and savory meats with the drizzle of hot honey was perfect. For entrees my wife got the Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Shrimp and I got the Staff Meal which happened to be a Chicken and Bacon carbonara...the gnocchi was incredible. My friend and I shared the $15 girl dinner which came with a petite charcuterie, a Caesar salad and truffle fries. We also added a "grandmas flatbread" since it was happy hour as well. The flatbread was definitely the most disappointing. It was the thinnest flatbread I've ever had in my entire life. It barely held up itself ... the flavor was good but it felt like there was barely any sauce or cheese on it as well... The girl dinner was good. For $15 I am not complaining about much honestly. I've never been to a place that serves a classic American farm breakfast without offering butter or preserves for the toast, and to make matters worse, the toast itself was burnt. I recently went to Boca with a couple of girlfriends for our monthly brunch date. It was my first time visiting this restaurant, which is located in a very nice plaza in Lake Mary. They have a trendy outdoor seating area, and the interior is just as nice. We all ordered different dishes, and the food was tasty, but my favorite part besides spending time with my gal pals, was definitely the coffee experience. The coffee came out in a French press along with a small hourglass timer. The server flipped it over, and once the sand ran out, it was time to press and pour your coffee. Such a unique and fun touch! 10/10 would recommend, our server was friendly and even recommend some dishes. I'd order it again, though the apple served appeared to differ from what was listed on the menu. However, it was a nice surprise that they made it in a heart shape for us considering it was almost Valentine's Day. * OMG Burger: Excellent -- juicy, flavorful, and the clear standout. The fries were a bit plain, so upgrading to truffle fries is a good move. * Drinks: The Cardigan was flavorful and unique, especially fitting for fall. The Hibiscus Nojito was refreshing and not too sweet, though a little pricey for a mocktail. Service The hostess was friendly and greeted us right away. It wasn't mentioned until after we were seated that happy hour wasn't offered in the main dining area, which would have been helpful to know earlier. Service overall was fine, though there were some gaps in menu knowledge and check-ins, and one dish wasn't prepared exactly as described. We also didn't receive a manager visit during the meal. Final Thoughts Overall, I would technically give our experience 3.5 stars, our first visit to Boca wasn't a bad experience, and I'd return -- especially for happy hour or their brunch as the prices for dinner were pretty high and did not seem to align with the quality of food you get. I have visited the location in winter park so I thought I would give this location a try. So glad to have a new place in Lake Mary! The inside is beautiful and very welcoming. We received decent service. Our waiter was very sweet however, there was a language barrier with ordering and asking questions. I tried the spicy pineapple mocktail and it was very peppery, not my favorite. The basil lemonade was very good. I had the old man egg platter which came with sausage, bacon, toast, eggs and potatoes. I can tell everything is super fresh and locally sourced. They seem to make most of their ingredients from scratch and the food certainly tastes like it. I really enjoyed the food but it did take almost 30 minutes to come out. What an amazing experience. We went for brunch on a Saturday around noon and didn't have a reservation but we're sat right away. It was nice outside so we opted for an outdoor table in the shade with an umbrella. I got the unlimited mimosas and what I loved is they serve you a glass of champagne and the juice on the side so you can put as much as you want in it. When switched juices the server brought me a new glass, our server Genny (pronounced Henny) was very attentive and I didn't even have to ask for my next mimosa refill. It is $29 for the unlimited mimosas but they made sure to provide great and attentive service. We ordered the corn fritters as an appetizer and OMG they didn't disappoint. The inside was so cheesy and gooey. The biscuit and gravy was very good and came with an egg on top. The chicken and waffles was HUGE and the waffles were sweet. The cubano had a nice crisp on the bread. My husband got the Bloody Mary spicy and could have had more spice. Overall this was an amazing experience. Good food, good service, and good atmosphere.
