The decor in this place is so chic and cool. It felt tropical and like they hired an interior designer to make everything feel sleek and aesthetic. The service was good, and we were in and out. Granted, we sat at the bar and got one drink each before the dinner rush was in. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the small portion sizes. The drinks were quite expensive for how little beverage was to be had in the little glasses. Ik restaurants like to say it's all the same, but definitely felt like they priced us out of buying another drink due to the small serving. Onto the drinks, I really enjoyed the Crush Crush. I'm a big cosmo girly and this was spectacular for being used to tasting the vodka in a martini drink. I was very happy with the flavor and enjoyment I got from it. My boyfriend got the margarita and he enjoyed it, but also was a bit disappointed with the portion. I still recommend this restaurant if you're wanting to have a swanky cocktail outing, but maybe have a few other places lined up and don't depend on spending your day/night here. To celebrate my friend's birthday, I asked her to pick any place she wanted to go for dinner and she chose The Wildflower in downtown Sanford. The Wildflower is a Mexican restaurant that draws you in as you walk by and start to see the bright and modern decor with subtle nods to Mexican culture as you peak inside. The establishment is clean and our server as well as the others that I observed were very friendly and attentive. There were so many great options on the menu that we sought guidance from our server before we chose and he did not steer us wrong! My friend chose to try two of the small plates: the beef empanadas and the shrimp ceviche. She loved both dishes equally. For my meal, I chose the chipotle chicken with the black bean soup as my chosen side. Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection! Our server heard that we were celebrating my friend's birthday and offered her a free dessert. My friend was unable to take him up on the offer due to her food allergies, so he gave us a discount on our bill. Visited the wildflower for my birthday brunch. Really cute restaurant right in the heart of downtown Sanford. Their food options were great tasting, everyone in our party really enjoyed what they ordered. They offer bottomless mimosas which is great! However we constantly had to ask our server for refills rather than the usual consistent check in on our glasses, we were easily waiting 20-25 min for a refill which in a two hour time frame truly isn't worth it. Really liked this restaurant. We were sat quickly and got our waters immediately when we sat down. Plenty of tables inside and they were all spaced well so it didn't feel cramped. More people came in and it got pretty busy by the time we got our food. There was only 1 waiter so service became pretty slow when we asked for additional items needed for our meal. The drink I got was delicious and mixed very well. The wings were pretty small and didn't have enough of a guava flavor to me. The burger was really good and the patty was thick which made it very filling. I was also able to try the Ropa vieja meal and it was juicy and flavorful. It was pretty empty for a Saturday morning so our food came quickly. The Breakfast Arepa was okay, but literally so hard we couldn't eat half of it. It lacked in flavor and just wasn't a hit for us. Easy parking in this sweet historic downtown Sanford area. Our first time here and I came with my boyfriend and friends from church. Very colorful decor and the design of the interior curated very well. I liked how spaced out tables were from other people. So you didn't feel on top of each other . Since we came in a large group, our server Alejandro was excellent and attentive waiter. Each person had different dietary needs and he accommodated our requests. The burgers. My friends and I were in Downtown Sanford looking for a nice bar in the area and came across The wildflower. The bar is really cute and big. We were greeted by the waitress as soon as we got in the restaurant. We were there a little before they closed so the kitchen was already closed and we weren't able to get any plates but we ordered drinks. All the drinks were delicious. Sadly, a few minutes after they gave us the drinks, they turned the lights on and the music off. When we finished to leave, I noticed the floor under our table and the entire restaurant was covered in dirt. Server was nice, but she seemed overwhelmed due to understaffing. Can't help but feel if the additional staff was helping, she wouldn't have been stretched too thin to notice the dirty glassware she was handing out. I guess I must be in the minority because this fell way short of my expectations. I was with a group of five and that same sentiment was echoed. I will say that we enjoyed the ambiance and stylish setting. It was a very comfortable place to chat. We also enjoyed the drinks we ordered but found them to be more ice than drink. As far as food goes, we tried a variety. Nothing stood out except the prices. The ceviche was the biggest letdown. The flavor was alright but the shrimp weren't even chopped. Between that and the teeny tiny plantain chips it was quite awkward to eat. That combined with the fact that the plantain chips became very soggy very quickly due to the plating style-see pic. The shrimp tostones was the plate I was most excited about and lacked overall flavor. The grouper sandwich was good, not super memorable but pleasant enough. For the price though, would have been nice had it been served with some fries or chips. However, the grouper was the redeeming aspect of the meal. Ultimately finished off with French toast to share around the table. Another solid plate but there's nothing extraordinary about French toast. Nice service. My experience here could've been a lot better, if the employees had actually tried. As soon as we walked in, nobody was there to greet us, after making eye contact with the bartender and wandering for a few minutes, I walked to the bar and asked if we sit ourselves or wait. He said to sit. There were only two other tables there. I saw on the menu that they had a shrimp ceviche and I immediately knew that's what I wanted. I ordered it but five minutes later our server came and said they don't make that. I was confused cause it's on the menu I even showed it to her and she was confused as well. After a few minutes she said they would make it for me, like if they were making an exception. Fine. We proceeded to wait 30 more minutes for our food, at this point I'm ready to leave because the only two other tables already had their food. The ceviche was really good, it's the reason I gave this place 3 stars. The wings were terrible. They tasted old and like they had been sitting in the fridge for a while. They were hard to eat. The server never came back so I had to get up and flag her down (only two tables dining in at this point) so that I could pay. The place is beautiful, but it's gonna take more than that for them to establish returning customers. The whole experience just felt so ingenuine, like they didn't try to give a good experience at all. I don't think I'll be back, there are many restaurants in the area that will actually welcome you with a smile. read more

Upon walking in, the place is nice and the tables spaced very well. A unique decor that was colorful and nice. Service was ok, but a little slow. The restaurant was busy, but not slammed. We started off with the Cachapas. Very good beginning for food selections. We then ordered our entree's and I had the Palomilla Steak. The food temperature was cool, but the flavor of the steak and onions was very good. My wife had the Ropa and again, the temperature was cool. The Ropa was tasty, but lacked a little in the sauce department. With a combination of food and service, I would not say I would not return, just not anytime soon. read more
