So...I don't really dine in the Bronx because I'm usually running in and out of this borough but CORKY'S!? First off, I love diners. Second off, it wasn't a huge spot so it felt super intimate and local so I actually enjoyed talking to my server who was a super sweet girl who gave me such good energy. Third, food was perfect. I tried my best to eat it all there but definitely had to take some home. Even eating it at home a day and two later it was sooooo good. I've been coming to Corky's since I was about 3 years old. The original venue was across the street from where it is located now, near the old Apple bank that has been vacant for decades yet still stands (?!) However, Corky's is a great reliable diner that not only provides nostalgia, but good comfort food. Dishes range from standard American Diner eats and also Mexican foods and dishes. Either way,you can't go too wrong. The prices are great. Cheap in comparison to many other places. Service was nice and moderately paced. I'm happy that it is still open after many years. It's where my Mom and Dad had their first Brunch date many moons ago and it was awesome to be able to take them there on their anniversary. A service was horrible two of the ladies came up to the register asked me about my order and then proceeded to take the money I gave them $100 bill and they tried to give me back $40.25 that was the price of my order so I'm telling you I'll just please be careful watch your money watch your tickets and look at your receipt when they hand you your change cuz I hadn't been paying attention I would have just gotten shortened $19.50 That's insane if you're a server there this is not a good reputation for y'all please make sure not to short your customers cuz that really will get you more bad reviews not sure how the food tastes yet but the except for the brisket and let me tell you not a fan. Also the way the weight was personally be a 10 minute turned into almost a 25 minute wait it took me over 10 minutes to get there My order should be ready when I got there or at least close to being done. I have been going to this dinner for a few weeks now. There food is good. Their salads are hearty and filling. Their breakfast is decent. Pancakes are dry and lack taste but the eggs and bacon are good. Basic breakfast good works. HOWEVER They charge what they want and never follow what they did the day before. One day I paid $3.50 for eggs and toast. Today I paid $5 for the same thing except I had an additional egg. I was told an additional egg was $1.50. For ONE EGG. Their prices are decent for lunch but outta control for breakfast. With that being said, I will not be returning to their establishment for my own person packet saving. I should not pay $5 for egg and toast when I can pay $3.50 for the same thing. read more

Worst food ever I have been coming here for years but all of a sudden food is not good at all there is no flavor on the food eggs have no salt or black Pepper . The owner who's taking the order through the phone can't even get the orders right I ask for two bacon egg sandwich with no cheese as already saying it from the start and he repeats the order back to me and they still messed up my order my kids didn't even eat it. Also I call and the owner just keeps hanging up the phone on me bad service. While I was at there waiting for my order there was a customer who had been waiting for his order more then 20 min and Insulted the owner saying he only cares about the money and not his customers service I think the customer was right he don't care about giving good customer service . People you should try the one across the street Fordham restaurant way better read more

I order from them all the time but this time I am extremely disappointed and upset. I Just had delivered a chopped sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The cost with tax was $14 and change. The steak was unflavored and seemed to be thrown together with bits of meat compressed together and WAS THE SIZE OF A HAMBURGER!!!! I am NOT HAPPY! I've been calling since 4:33 pm to complain but now no one is answering at all! Very frustrating!! read more

I've been here a few times, very good place for breakfast. Not too sure about the lunch selections, I had a quesadilla for lunch and it was pretty good, except for the pasty guacamole or the generic sour cream. Thats the only issue I had with my lunch, the chicken however was nice. I do recommend this place for breakfast, they cook very good eggs and breakfast meats, I like their pancakes. I'd eat here again when in the area. read more

Do not get pancakes or French toast. It is very dry never ate dry pancakes and French toast before. The prices are too high and the owner seems to take advantage due to his competition Fordham diner that closed down. It's really not worth the price but better tasting than local food. read more

KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!!!!! I had gone in with my girlfriend to enjoy a meal like usual. The total including tip for our lunch was no more than $30.00. However, 2 days after, I checked my bank statement and noticed a charge of $2,028 from this restaurant!!!!! After talking to the manger, he acknowledged that the waitress typed the total incorrectly (obviously) and advised me that my money will be refunded. Absolute horrible experience. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR STATEMENT AFTER EVERY MEAL. read more

This place is discussing the service & food. I would give a -5 but they don't have that as an option. I've been several times to actually give it a chance because I use to go to the old corkys. Every time I give it another chance it disappoints me. The food is Mediocre the service sucks & the management is worst. The place is always cold so the mediocre food is instantly cold. The wait staff favors the customers, every time I've been there. Do urself a favor & go somewhere else read more

my son wanted to order here at this restaurant, which by the way its a diner. so i ordered the food and brought it back to our apartment. i ordered fried chicken and fries with salad, and my adult children ordered chicken quesdillas with fries, and bacon cheeseburger deluxe. the food to me and my daughter i did not like it. the chicken tasted kennedy's fried chicken, the quesdillas was greasy and the french fries also, the guacamole was not guacamole, it was mashed avacado with a little bit of cilantro. if you want to order from here, and you want salad with your order, ask them to see if they can put the salad in a separate container instead of putting it together with your order. read more

Do not waste your time. I'm not exaggerating here when I say that I saw over 20 delivery bags being packed from when I arrived at 10:23 until I left at 11:05. Sat here waiting to be served and we were ignored. Another couple was there for an hour And had just received their coffee. It's a damn shame they take care of the to go orders and leave their sitting customers waiting for bacon egg n cheese. I should have called and had them deliver the food to table number 3 moron! would have gotten there much quicker. read more

When you're eating in this place's food is amazingly good, taste & presentation are superb. They can be a little slow to deliver though. But I would not recommend anyone place a delivery or carry out order. The food arrived undercooked (mostly RAW). When called to complain person on the phone was unbelievably rude. Then only offering to redeliver or give a credit (this after my entire lunch time was wasted). After this experience I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. read more

My experience today trying to purchase a slice of cheesecake. Obviously the cake was old. The Manager was very upset because I noticed the cheesecake was old and snatched the cake from me. I went there today for the 1st time and what a bad experience, we asked our eggs be poached medium well they came out almost raw I didn't want to be that customer but I had to say something, then when they tried again the eggs were cooked completely and hard . The bacon overcooked, the fries were cold , my friends pancakes were cold then they microwaved pancakes with the syrup and it just tasted nasty. The coffee was nasty , like water. Then when we complained to the manager about the food he said he can't tell them nothing because he can get sued lmao ive never heard of such a lame excuse. The impression I got was he didn't care about how his employees serviced his establishment and he was rude. We paid the 30 dollar check . The waitress was very nice and kind, an older woman. This place was horrible!! I ordered a $7 order of pancakes, sausage and eggs. An extra order of pancakes for my sons a bagel with cream cheese. Don't know who the cook was. The bagel was burnt. Sent back and the pancakes out some box, Aunt Jemima' ready made taste better, were also overcooked. I complained and the manager had the nerve to say they were fine and come like that. I guess he's oblivious to Yelp. Should have gotten the gist when walking into an empty place at peak time. Stay away. read more

Corkys is the most friendliest welcoming diner in the Bronx in my opinion . My wife and I get there we are instantly greeted. The waitress already knows what we want. The food is all made by hand , fresh and delicious every time. they also deliver and get to you very quickly . The food also gets to you hot as well . We arrived ~30 mins after opening and there was a short line to put my name down. From there, it was an hour 45 minute wait, so we strolled through Chinatown to kill time and enjoy the neighborhood. If you don't want to wait, get there early! We were seated in the lovely car park patio and from there, the ordering process, service, and whole process was quick but not rushed. There aren't a crazy number of tables, so it actually feels like you have room to yourself. The food itself was amazing. The breakfast sandwich was great for something heartier and of course, the pancakes were amazing. We also had to try the Thai tres leches since you don't see that everyday.
