Delicious food, we had a family breakfast with a variety of options in the menu. I always go for the classic breakfast eggs and home fries with toast. My fam got the filet fish sandwhich so nice and crispy and you can't go wrong with a lamb wrap with crispy fries, we got onion rings. Lots of tablets and now has a buffet style lunch station with even more fresh options. Def a must have if you're around the area or ordering to pick up. read more

On a trip to NYC, my friend recommended this place to me after a trip to the Botanical Garden. Right off the bat you can sense the place has been around a while, doesn't look like the decor has changed much. We were seated and greeted quickly by Carlos who took our drink order. Be warned, they don't have a soda fountain but you can get canned/bottled sodas alongside their specialties like iced spanish coffee and lemonade. They have standard diner fare alongside Tex-Mex/Latino specialties. We started off with an appetizer of chili cheese fries, which was a heavy tomato based chili with two slices of american cheese thrown on top. I can't complain, it was tasty. I had the Steak Burrito while my friend ordered the Pork Chops smothered in tomatillo sauce. The burrito was huge and was even offered Red & Green sauces to smother it with. The food was overall delicious and very well priced. I'll definitely be back again to try something new and maybe try one of those pastries they had on display! read more

Oh, Webster! This diner is the site of numerous memories for me already, after only a short time, probably less than a year. I once empathised with the staff for dealing with the drunk Fordham kids stumbling in from Tinkers, one of the local bars, across the street. One night I became an ill inebriated kid, and since then I have sympathised shyly. With that in mind, the employees here are what I would consider stolid and efficient, although also slow between food's arrival and producing the check. This habit has probably developed from their dealings with any variety of substance-influenced kids. In the morning, you will probably find the same or the rest of the night's debauchery hung over and sleepy, yawning over breakfast. And, yes, the breakfast is good. There is only one large booth for a lucky crowd, but Webster is homey with a jungle of plants, a counter with stools, and warm lighting. Prices are obviously nothing to complain about; the college kids go there all the time. And best of all for truly lazy bums, Webster delivers. read more

They use the delivery apps but the food always comes hot and with all the utensils I need. Sometimes they are offline for delivery when I wish they weren't but its okay. WOW, am we glad we came here! We were 4 adults, a child and a toddler. They were accommodating and seated us promptly. It's a cute little cafe & diner but has an extensive menu! Including lots of tex-mex and Mexican dishes. We ordered nachos, their Mexican daily specials, waffles for the kid and some other breakfast items. All in all, it's GREAT. We are members of the Botanical Garden but find that the food options inside are overpriced and lacking in freshness and variety. This is going to be our new "regular" place! read more

From the outside, this cafe looks like one of those last minute diners you go to when there's nothing much left and your standards are so low that you just hope whatever you order is edible. This was my thought process coming in and coming out I was more than satisfied. Like most others, I stopped by here before going to the Botanical Gardens. Relatively empty save for a couple of diners, ordered a tuna salad sandwich on rye with a chocolate milkshake (odd cravings). Sandwich was hearty, with big scoops of salad - toasted perfectly. Classic pickle slice was a nice touch. The milkshake was large and thick, but was able to finish it without killing the straw. Service is excellent and has that homely feel to it. Not to mention the meal (considering how big it was) came to $11, which was pretty damn cheap. I would never make a special trip to come here, but it's a great option if you're hungry in the area. read more

I went there this morning with my daughter for breakfast. My hairdresser is in the area and I always pass by and decided to check it out. First off, the a/c was broken. Fans are blowing hot air but of course not to where we were sitting. I had to ask the waiter twice to put the overhead fan on. They were short staffed. Only 2 waiters were working. The poor guys were running around serving tons of tables. When we finally get our food, my western omelet doesn't have the cheese I ordered. No biggie. I return it. My daughter's 2 eggs over medium with bacon is good and she's satisfied. My omelet comes back and they were able to put the cheese in the middle not on top like I expected it. The omelet was terrible. The quality of the ham was poor, it tasted like I was chewing on rubber and I kept spitting it out. My bacon was decent (I ordered it crunchy, only some pieces were. The other pieces I can see thru and were limp) the only thing on the table that was on point was the toast with butter. That toast was good, warm with butter. When I received the bill I was surprised to see it was almost $20! When I looked at the menu I calculated the meal wouldn't be more than $12-15. The waiter explained that the bacon cost extra. Um, ok. For a Saturday morning the service was lacking. My food wasn't great and I was disappointed. I'll keep looking for a decent diner in The Bronx. Next! read more

I moved to this area about 4-5 years ago- I must say it's gotten worse. I ordered food recently but had it delivered. For some unknown reason the quality of the food has gotten worse! Avocado looked old the cheese tasted like cheap cheese. I started to feel like the soup they sent me was brought at the family dollar next door and sent to me to eat by Webster Cafe. All there prices on there ordering out menu are false. When they wrung me up for having two grill cheeses & tomato w/avacodo-5$ each sandwich using american sliced bread. The soup was 2-3$ and rice pudding was so watered down I couldn't eat it. cup of ice 1$ and two bottles of apple juice was 2$ each came out to 20$ for some unknown reason. Way too much money for items that tasted close to garbage. If you want to spend a lot of money for waste eat here. I buy often here...like the place but some of the staff here wake up on the wrong side of the bed alot...they'll usually almost all the time would give you the opposite if you ask for something specific, kinda like trying your patience....you would think that the Hispanic family would be compassionate with its Spanish clientele coming in but all you get is racist inside jokes from them.Im Hispanic myself and I've seen it and dealt with it. The last 4 visits I went I received an old sausage from my dish,1 of them 3 sausage s where old. This is coming from the younger staff side, the owners son should be ashamed of himself. Another issue there is how the prices on items and dishes change over days or moments should I say....I have balanced info to confirm this. I explained to the waiter nicely that my toast was cold, who replied "that's how they gave it to me" when I got the replacement toast it was burnt. Smelled burnt looked burnt tasted burnt. Now I'm was upset! I asked to speak to the manager. Once with the manager I explained to the manager the situation and also told him I will be writing a review for this establishment. The manager apologized, took my food and gave me an entire new order. More was offered and the attention was better and more continuous. I have to give the manager 5 stars because he was on point with customer service. There are also pleasant waitresses. The place looks clean. The atmosphere is nice and quiet,Just right. The food is another story. They really need to figure out why the Potatoes smell and taste like something is rotten. I love the older restaurant vibe the elder staff much more professional then the younger staff they are very nice but the younger crew are less attentive they forget to add the extras that come with the take out like yesterday I ordered the order was pricey it was Mexican burgers with onion rings they forgot the two cole slaws and the two pickles for the sandwiches but they are very nice and fast the food is fresh so it's why I order there often. Today I had the Mexican combo which is like an appetizer for two but a person can eat as one order if their hungry & a strawberry shake surprising it had three quesadillas the side cheese nachos with guacamole and chicken fingers and chicken flautas it was good it had some salsa and sour cream got all my sauces so I was happy. When you dine in they really are attentive they have a limited in door dinning and have outdoor dinning due to Covid they follow the procederes to a "T" A good family business that I hope continues to be around. read more

My husband had the roast chicken $10 special and I must say, the portions were huge and although not the best chicken ever (I had a taste) was quite good. I had an omelet and substituted some salad for the potatoes. It was one of the best "old fashioned diner" omelets I ever had (vegetable omelet).
