The bagged potato chips are now extra, not included. This time we visited, the ice machine was down, so we had to drink warm soda. Gag

The hubby stopped after a quick visit to the DMV and brought a couple sammies home for us to try. He said the restaurant was clean and the service was great. He grabbed a pastrami and a corned beef. I LOVE corned beef and judge most restaurants by their Reuben (if they have one on the menu). Both sandwiches were delicious! The chips, unfortunately, didn't travel well but I tossed them in the air fryer and they were just fine. We will definitely return to try more sandwiches!

Don't let the reviews fool you, the sandwiches are spot on! Huge portions for $13 for a corned beef and pastrami sandwich is a steal. $1.25 for a bag of chips? Great. Do they have video gaming? Sure do...like every other establishment these days. Hard to find? Know where the Woodstock DMV is? It's two doors left at the corner. Give them a try!

I was passing through and saw the billboard for this place. Kind of tucked in a strip mall. I'm glad I stopped in here. The place is very clean and the service was fantastic. I ordered the Ruben and which was made to order. It was probably the best Ruben I've ever had. Also comes with house chips which were also very good. Be hungry because it's a big sandwich!!!

I grew up in the northwest side of Chicago in the '50s & '60s. Corned beef sandwiches were as common as hotdogs. Today I tried The Corned Beef Factory in Woodstock Illinois passing up Tommy's Hotdogs. It's next to the DVM so there's plenty of parking on a Saturday. Let me tell you about the food! As I said I grew up where corned beef was a staple so I was prepared for something not quite as good. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by how great my sandwich was! Piled high on rye with mustard (you can choose spicy or regular) Swiss cheese and a dill pickle on the side. It also came with delicious chips. Soft fountain drinks are available as well as beer. I had to take half of my sandwich to go because I was so full after one half! The space itself is huge with several tables and one outside. There's also a gaming room for fun. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for something besides a hotdog or burger!

Great Corn Beef on rye! Only ate 1/2 of the sandwiches with the homemade chips; delicious My husband had the hot pastrami on rye.

Very good sandwiches and the homemade chips are the best. Usually enough food for two meals.

Great sandwich, however, the horrible country music kind of spoiled it. Get some different music.

The atmosphere is very cool, the place is quite big and good for large groups and family meals. The staff was so friendly, and I mean everyone. From the hostess who seated us and immediately told us that Happy Hour was ending in about 15 minutes and to order as soon as we could for any bottles of wine, beer or appetizers. I appreciate that. Our server came over to take our appetizer and drink order. We ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer, the potato skins. She was so friendly and it was a pleasure chatting with her. The potato skins were delivered to our table and were actually delicious. They were crunchy and the cheese was perfectly melted and topped with bacon. While we enjoyed our potato skins, several servers and the restaurant manager stopped to check on us, which was so nice. Then it was time to order our dinner, and we were going a bit light. I chose to have a bowl of the soup of the day which was creamed corn soup. Mr. Bee decided to have the tuna tacos. Our dinner was delivered in a timely manner and this is where the disappointment came in. My soup was supposed to be cream of corn. it wasn't creamed, it was creamy, with pieces of chewy kernels. There was no seasoning, it tasted if it was just corn and milk or cream, not even any salt. I didn't finish it. Mr. Bee's tacos were odd. The tortillas weren't fried, just warmed and flimsy. The tuna was not like poke. It was shredded, cut, cooked through and not really appetizing. He ate some of the tuna out of the tacos, but nowhere finished his meal and I have never seen him not finish tuna tacos. So when I said this was hard to write, it is. The staff, from the hostess to the servers who jumped in and helped each other deliver food and clear plates to the restaurant manager who checked in twice, they were excellent. Where the downfall is is in the food. Nothing after the potato skins was seasoned, poke tuna tacos would be amazing and the creamed corn soup should have been pureed, with seasoning, maybe a little bacon on top. It was all just so bland and disappointing. So I am giving the staff five stars and the food earns two. It could be great!

Absolutely lovely…read more Located on the Main Square of Woodstock, IL, this cafe serves breakfast and lunch in a warm, welcoming space. Our waitress tells us the business previously at this location got a make over when participating in a foodnetwork TV show. Sweet. The decor is earthy colors with wood on the walls, fun signs, comfortable booths and tables for groups. Highchairs are available for your tiny family members. A hostess will seat you with menus and flatware wrapped in a napkin. Salt, pepper, sugar, creamer, jelly, syrup, ketchup and hot sauces are on the table. One side of the menu is breakfast, the other lunch. We were asked right away if we would like coffee. The staff here are all very nice and welcoming. Different members of staff came around to all tables several times during our stay refilling coffees as needed. Our waitress checked in on us a couple of times and actually stopped at the table to be sure we had all we needed, not just running past. We both ordered breakfast and the portions are generous. I had the Irish Bene and they don't skimp on the smoked salmon! The eggs were poached well, a generous amount of spinach and the potato pancake is tasty and light. I very much enjoyed their coffee. Strong, hot and smooth. Not at all bitter. Yay. Two remodled, single-person restrooms are at the back of the restaurant where you'll also find hooks for your coat. A diaper station is in the ladies room. The restaurant has two window walls letting in the sun light. On-street parking is free. If we lived here this would be our breakfast place!

Love this diner, clean and pretty right next to the Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple. Thus, you can go…read moreto the temple and remind yourself that all suffering stems from desire and that we should have compassion for all life then walk half a block and work up a desire for sausage and biscuits thus negating the inner peace you just stepped into. It would be really fundamentally incorrect to describe their sausage and biscuits as Nirvana in the Buddhist sense, but the dish is very good and so is the coffee. Most tables have a good view of the town square featured in "Groundhog Day," and the diner is next door to a nice indie bookstore.
