Pepperoni pizza, margarita and sausage pizza
Michael B.

Outstanding pizza, amazing tiramisu, frankly their entire menu is off the charts. What really makes this restaurant stand out even more than that, is the service. This place is family owned and operated, it's always a joy coming in and dining. You can tell the owners are there all the time providing the best service and outstanding quality pizza. Been coming here for years... the pizza gods weep with joy every time a pizza comes out of that amazing Italian oven.

Tried this place at a food truck festival. Wow !!!! Super fresh and fast. We had the margarita pizza and it was delightful. Crust was chewy and delicious. The truck was busy the whole day slinging out pizzas. For good reason!' I believe their website and Facebook has more information on their locations.

Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Have been waiting for the restaurant to open for months...and just like with their food trucks, the pizza was AWESOME! We have had their pizza from the trucks at various events in the area and absolutely loved it. Lately it seemed that we have been busy when they have been out and about so now having a brick and mortar place where we can get their awesome pizzas and sandwiches whenever we want! If you like well executed wood fired pizzas this is the place! But I won't lie, the biggest surprise of the night was I had their tiramisu for the first time, ridiculously good. We will definitely be back (more often then we probably should) as we love supporting local businesses and this one surely doesn't disappoint.

Hand stretched dough per order, the freshest (read: tastiest) ingredients and paddle-to-plate in 90 seconds and owners who are just about the nicest people you could ever meet are just some of the things that stand out for Your Sister's Tomato. Hand crushed San Marzano tomatoes, olive oil and fresh garlic?! Yes, please! It would be hard to choose just one pizza by Your Sister's Tomato that we love most, and I'm sure you will feel the same way. Margherita pizza = magnificent. Buffalo Chicken is a close second. Of course you can't go wrong with a good plain ol'cheese pizza, either. (I have always felt that when a pizza business gets the plain cheese right, that's everything.) Whatever you do, don't miss the banana Nutella pizza for dessert. Eat one there and bring one home too! We can't wait to see them this year at events in our area this summer!

Great job!!! Pizza is great. I love the ambiance and the fresh bread is the best. Only complaint is they are not open every day.

Best pizza in McHenry County hands down: top quality ingredients on an amazing thin crust all baked to perfection in their wood-fired oven.

I have seen posts on FB about this place so of course I wanted to try it while I was in the area…read more The place itself gave Parisian cafe vibes that was clean with cute decor and plenty of seating. Unfortunately that's where it stopped for me. They had baked goods on a wall display and a display by the counter, along with cake in a refrigerator. Unfortunately, none of it looked fresh nor did any of it stood out to me or was very appeasing. The regular croissants looked very dry and flaky and the chocolate croissants were flat and smashed looking. Even the cake in the refrigerator looked dry... I did end up buying a lemon blueberry scone along with an almond danish- and I feel like I wasted $10. My 10 year old child thought the scone was old and stale. The almond danish basically was phyllo dough with a big dollop of almond paste- I couldn't even eat half of it. They do have a menu with soup and croissant sandwiches, but they're very over priced. $18.50 for a bacon egg and cheese croissant!?! Hard pass for me. Some advice should you choose to try this place, keep an eye out on your receipt. While I do hope it was an honest mistake- the guy working there was nice- he charged me $6/piece for the scones and the danish when they were actually $5/piece. I did bring it to his attention before I paid and he did adjust the prices. Whatever he rang them up as- was not listed as a "scone" or "danish."

The bacon egg and cheese on croissant was unbalanced, unsavory, too cute on presentation, not enough on substance. Overpriced at $18.50. Balsamic drizzle on the plate looked more like Italy than Paris. Absolutely no one in the cafe at 10-1030 on a Friday morning on the town square. Sorry, can't say I would return here again.

Our waitress tells us the business previously at this location got a make over when participating in a foodnetwork TV show. Sweet. The decor is earthy colors with wood on the walls, fun signs, comfortable booths and tables for groups. Highchairs are available for your tiny family members. A hostess will seat you with menus and flatware wrapped in a napkin. Salt, pepper, sugar, creamer, jelly, syrup, ketchup and hot sauces are on the table. One side of the menu is breakfast, the other lunch. We were asked right away if we would like coffee. The staff here are all very nice and welcoming. Different members of staff came around to all tables several times during our stay refilling coffees as needed. Our waitress checked in on us a couple of times and actually stopped at the table to be sure we had all we needed, not just running past. We both ordered breakfast and the portions are generous. I had the Irish Bene and they don't skimp on the smoked salmon! The eggs were poached well, a generous amount of spinach and the potato pancake is tasty and light. I very much enjoyed their coffee. Strong, hot and smooth. Not at all bitter. Yay. Two remodled, single-person restrooms are at the back of the restaurant where you'll also find hooks for your coat. A diaper station is in the ladies room. The restaurant has two window walls letting in the sun light. On-street parking is free. If we lived here this would be our breakfast place!

A lot of beers and burgers on the menu. There's also some other stuff. Came here looking for some food and fun. It's got plenty of both along with some other things about it. This can get pretty crowded especially weekends. Come and hear live music. Has a big ass stage outside. A lot of beers on tap, and plenty more in bottles and cans. It's about $12 for a basic cocktail, whiskey with whatever. Could be cheaper. The same thing for the food. It's about $16 for a burger. You can substitute a black bean patty. A lot more things on the menu. There's also the seafood and steaks among other things. Has some pretty generous hours. It's located on the southeast part of town on Lake Avenue at Martha. This place gets packed on weekends.

There's a stage area in back that holds concerts and events. On this particular night, we found a bingo game brewing, so we decided to jump in and play. For dinner, we ordered a pepperoni pizza (night special), house salads and my son got the Ruben Egg Rolls. All the food was tasty. Our waiter, Brian was very kind and attentive. He was totally on the ball, hustling through his tables with finesse. What a nice guy!! Overall, we have been going to the Red Mill for years and now I decided to write a review. This place is fun for all ages, families, bar hoppers, bike groups and more. There's fun for everyone. Give it a try, you will thank me later. See pics
