The standard pizzas are delicious, but the build your own pizza is extra awesome for someone like me who has a lot of dietary restrictions. Inside the restaurant is inviting. We ate the veggie pizza with sausage added, and a house salad. The server was friendly and personable. She took time to explain the menu and how the pizzas prepared. Our salad was outstanding. Served with bread and mix of fresh greens, tomatoes, olives, garlic, and pepperoni. The house dressing was an exact mix of spices of oil, vinegar and spices. I found the red sauce to be low acidic and flavorful. pizza dough thin light and crispy. Toppings are just as fresh as the salad. I saw pizzas that were served to other patrons, looked yummy. And we plan to try everything pizza and salad on the menu. We have had their pizza from the trucks at various events in the area and absolutely loved it. Lately it seemed that we have been busy when they have been out and about so now having a brick and mortar place where we can get their awesome pizzas and sandwiches whenever we want! Having read all the very positive reviews I decided to try Your Sister's Tomato pizza after disappointment with Napolis Woodstock pizza, and a wood fired pizza sounded really tempting. Having grown up in Chicago I've visited many pizza restaurants and good pizza has always been in short supply in McHenry county. Unfortunately, Your Sister's Tomato pizza came up quite short. Because a wood fired pizza should cook at very high temperature I expected the cruse to be crispy, but it wasn't even close. They skimped on everything - sauce, cheese, but it was the sausage that threw me. Sausage on pizza is normally bite size, but instead was in little pebbles about the size of cat food, just slightly larger than BBs. This I have never seen before. The sauce had little flavor and the sausage was so tiny and skimpy it couldn't add any flavor, nothing more than a garnish. In Chicago we DON'T garnish pizzas, we use chucks of sausage. If you could create a crust yourself, then add a bit of sauce and some cheese you could do just as well yourself. Woodstock IL is not known for its pizza and this was one of its worst. Maybe I ordered on a bad day, but Pizza Hut is better. Seriously, Pizza Hut. I'm sorry but Your Sister's Tomato really came up short. read more

What really stood out to me were they're wood fired pizza and let me tell you.. it was absolutely delicious. We ordered a salad as an appetizer and it had a ton of different nuts, fruits, and veggies. Then We got the bacon balsamic but added goat cheese and ham. We ended up customizing it but all the ingredients were very fresh and flavorful. The crust was really good ( I typically don't ever eat the crust of any pizzas's) The service was great! I LOVE THIS PLACE! They are just the sweetest, nicest staff. Their brick-and-mortar location is fun & funky (has a neat industrial, but really cozy vibe) and they frequently operate their food truck within the area, too. I order pretty frequently (I have a bit of an obsession with their unbelievably delicious tiramisu. It's fluffy, flavorful, and the best I've ever had) and am never disappointed in the pizza, salads, desserts. Their pizza is delicious out of the wood-burning oven, and that yummy chewy crust is *almost* the best part (real best part? the bubbly cheese, of course). One of my favorite items is their house salad (perfect for two people to split as an appetizer or for a full meal for one person). It's just perfectly dressed and always really fresh! Since our local wood-fired pizza place in McHenry was taken over by an unremarkable chain a few years ago, I have been without a good connection to feed my mild addiction to charred chewy goodness. I think that search is over. Toppings are fresh & tasty, and the dessert pizza with pears was a delightful surprise. The only reason I went with 4 stars instead of 5 is that prices seem awfully steep for what you get. I'm not opposed to paying for quality vs. quantity, but the pizzas are so light I have a hard time swallowing the $15 price tag. read more

Great pies - super high quality ingredients. This is not a 5.99 Dominos "pizza." This is a hand crafted artisan pie hand stretched to order and priced appropriately (not cheap but worth the $). We loved the prosciutto and arugula pizza and the bacon and balsamic. The veggie was also great - you could tell that they took the time to roast the veggies in the oven before putting them on the pizza so you got that delicious roasted flavor. Their food truck was at Crystal Lake Brewing one Friday night when we were there. They had quite a few pizzas to choose from and they were each about 11" in diameter. We were there with another couple and tried 3 different pizzas in all - each quite tasty. The dough had a very good flavor as well though we all would have preferred the pizzas stay in the oven an extra couple minutes as it was soft in the middle-underside. Horrible customer service experience. I'm giving them 2 stars only because my son has a dairy allergy and he loves being able to order a pizza like everyone else since they have dairy free cheese. The older lady with short gray hair was extremely rude to my husband when he went to pick up our son's pizza. It takes a lot to get him upset. 1.) I called and ordered a dairy-free cheese pizza (margarita style). It sounded like a little kid was taking my order. Low and behold, my husband confirmed the girl taking phone orders was in 5th grade. (I order this pizza the same way every time I call in (at least 5 times) since we moved to Woodstock.) 3.) When my husband arrived, the older lady offers him a margarita pizza - he asks if it's with dairy free cheese?!? She grumbles at my husband that we ordered the pizza wrong. We needed to say vegan cheese. Even though he clearly heard the line cooks confirm with her that dairy free cheese IS VEGAN CHEESE! So she tells my husband that she has to charge him the additional $3 bucks it costs for a dairy free cheese pizza. And then tells him while waving him off flippantly that he is just going to have to wait because they didn't know what we were talking about. So 45 minutes later we finally receive our son's pizza. No sense of urgency. No apology. No customer appreciation. (I mention the 5th grade girl not as a dig to her - just as a full scope of what went down with our experience. Maybe she isn't qualified to be taking phone orders). **** As a side note, we only order pizza here for our son. We don't eat here.
