Very disappointed. Stopped in for breakfast while waiting for appointment. Ordered the pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs. Pancakes were cold( butter didn't melt), bacon was hard. And the eggs! Well they were so cold it was as if they had been taken out of the fridge. Asked for eggs to be replaced. Brought out more cold eggs. Lesson learned. I won't be back. read more

The smell upon walking in was overwhelming and it smelled like dirty diaper. Like someone had mopped up poop and then mopped the dining floor with it. I ordered a entree Mac and cheese w/out breadcrumbs via the drive thru ..... bcs WHY? But anyway they put breadcrumbs on it I went in to inform them that they put breadcrumbs on my Mac and did not provide me with the fruit for my toddler..... the person who took my order said he put it on the ticket which he did.... took the mac to the kitchen as the staff in the kitchen were laughing and looking at me they pick them off (if it were that easy I would have done that) and mixed it up and tried to give it back.... My question is who in this day and age takes food back from a customer takes it into the kitchen and uses utensils in it? read more

The food is good but the wait time is highly inappropriate. I hope that the staffing shortage in the US stops soon but in the meantime I will just prepare myself to wait for twenty minutes for one order read more

Super surprised by this one. I reluctantly tried these places for years because of the name. I just thought it was a glorified Bakers Square, but actually after going in I noticed that they serve a great breakfast and a great lunch. This is hands-down my favorit chain cafe in Milwaukee. I have been coming here about weekly for over a year now and I only have positive things to claim about the atmosphere, the employees, the food, and the entire establishment. Just tonight after being here for a few hours, the manager on duty approached me and offered me a cappuccino for free as he accidentally made one. 10/10 reccomend this place, you won't find friendlier staff at any cafe in the 414. :) read more

I have fond memories of the Corner Bakery in Chicago, where everything seemed fresh and made there, or at least locally. I ordered breakfast here (pancakes, scrambled eggs & bacon) and it was all just ok. Food-service scrambled eggs, microwaved pancakes, ok-ish bacon. I wasn't expecting anything exceptional and my experience was just that. It's fine if you're looking for fast food on a plate. Good location, good customer service, clean & bright dining area. I was not sure what to expect. A co-worker recommended I try it and so one day I decided to go out for lunch. They have quite a few options from soup to sandwiches to salads. They have some gluten free options, but most of their soups are cream based with wheat in them. Overall it was very nice, clean and had some good options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very good service. I go here often and only once had an issue (no chicken in my Chicken Carbonara, which is by far my favorite dish), which they fixed by remaking both bowls for free to take home. Staff is friendly and quick and helpful, and management is great as well. Not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for in quality and quantity. read more

I have been going to corner bakery in Shorewood Wisconsin for approximately three years. At times, due to some surgeries, I ate there four days per week. I am just pleased with the workers at corner bakery. They are always pleasant, helpful, and efficient. I just want to thank the manager for hiring such great employees. Actually the manager comes around to the tables and asks if everything is OK. I would highly recommend this fast food restaurant. The food is fresh, good, and consistent. read more

First time here and so disappointed with my order and food. Chose 2 items: loaded potato soup and chicken carbonara. I love potato soup in general but this soup is something else?! Maybe they just keep it re-heated and keep adding to it not making a new batch but it had no flavor. Same goes for the chicken carbonara except for I got no chicken just bacon bits and pasta... what happened to my chicken? A great place to grab a quick bite, but what makes this place stand out is their service. My family and I have been there with my elderly mother in law a few times since they opened. It's tough for her to get out much at all so her outings are a big deal. The manager, Greg, always goes out of his way to make us feel welcome, and when we brought her in for a quick bite on her birthday, he even had a personal birthday cake made for her! I come here all the time. I am a student at UWM and the drive thru is very convenient for me! I've tried their breakfast sandwiches, pastas, paninis, soups, and pastries and everything I've tried is delicious. I've eaten inside a couple times, and the manager has always come around asking me how my meal was and if I needed anything. Very clean place. New place in town so I will give them some slack. They messed up 2 orders and served my wife a salad that had slimy spinach 2 times in a row. It was inedible. I ordered a panini and they gave me a cold sandwich then told me they could not do it as a panini. Front line people were nice but overall I would say this place is pretty bad. If i could give no stars I would give no stars. This is the 2nd time I went for breakfast. The first time I went my pancakes were burnt. When I asked for new pancakes those were burnt as well. The next time I ordered a hot chocolate and a coffee. Upon arriving at work I noticed that both of my drinks were cold (I work right down the street; the drinks still should of been hot). The cups were also not filled all the way up. I also asked for a receipt and did not get one. I called and they said I could come get new drinks or a refund. I explained that I could not come back but I would be able to come when I went on break. When I arrived, I was told that I could not get a refund or new drinks because I did not have a receipt. I explained to the cashier that I spoke with the manager earlier and what she told me. The manager then went on to tell me they cannot help me because I had no receipt and she was not able to look up my receipt from earlier that morning. I called the owner of the store and he never returned my phone call. I was also rear ended in the drive thru. I called and asked for video footage and I was told that I could not have it. read more

This Update is for Catering. An order planned almost a month in advance for a 2 stage delivery that was agreed to by Alyssa S., the catering manager. On the day of the event, the first delivery was incomplete, lacking 30 bottles of water and two salads that appeared on the delivery receipt. The driver said that she would bring the missing water and salads "in about 15 minutes." Almost an hour later, on an unscheduled delivery, the missing water and salads arrived - after the event had started and people were in the meeting room. The second scheduled delivery arrived on time - with the eating utensils and missing bread for the two salads that had been omitted from the first delivery. All in all, it was a stressful time for those of us manning the front line and trying to keep the beverage and refreshment phase of an important business meeting afloat. Multiple phone calls were made and I felt like the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing nor where it was. I had been to Corner Bakery earlier and recommended them for the event; my co-worker had not and commented on how poorly they had performed on a catering order and delivery set up well in advance. Based on this performance, I can't say that I would recommend them again unless their catering performance on the basics improves (like check your delivery list before you leave the restaurant for the customer site and make sure everything is ready to go - including eating utensils). The sad thing is, the food is very good, but what is that worth if getting it delivered as arranged is such an ordeal? read more
