Beignets, French toast muffin, and pumpkin cheese muffin
    Sarah M.

My husband and I stopped in here the last weekend of October for coffee/treats after checking out of our Airbnb. They had so many mouth-watering options for pastries/snacks and fun seasonal drinks. We got beignets, a French toast muffin, and a pumpkin cheese muffin to split. The beignets had been room temp and we thought they'd be warmed up, but they were still really tasty. The French toast muffin was the star of the show and so moist and flavorful! I am not sure if this a year-round item or a seasonal item, but I would order it if it's available! The pumpkin cheese muffin was also really good and I love a little pumpkin treat in the fall. We went to the Geneva State Park and sipped our coffees while walking along the lake and it was just a perfect, quiet morning.

    Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich

Went to Corner Coffeehouse for breakfast twice during my stay in Geneva. Its a decent size coffee shop with several menu items and it was SO clean and cozy. Both days I ordered a breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese because it was so good. They have bagels, muffins, beignets, etc. A good variety to choose from. I also tried out their chai lattes and smoothie. The chai was just okay, I have definitely had better. They do not carry soy milk. I really liked the tropical smoothie. Would definitely order that again. The staff were very friendly and service was quick. I will definitely be coming back during my next stay and will most likely order the same breakfast sandwich.

Today I had "The Cadbury" *beams* because hey! It's almost Easter and Cadbury, bunnies, you know... Wow was that awesome. I paired it with their Tomato Quiche Pie. Which, good lord- was probably one of the best breakfast items I've had anywhere! The crust was buttery and perfect. The quiche was so good- I almost ordered another one. It was that perfect. I need to mention I came here a week ago to snag a to go coffee- and I had the Butterbeer. A butterscotch dream mocha creation that I had to mention. Yes folks- their creations are stellar. Every month there's new ones and I'm pulled like a frigging tractor beam to see what they've got! I always stop by here. It's so perfect. whether I dine in or grab and go- there's wonderful kiddo's who are always so polite. They have their own coffee for sale and they have some stellar flavors, I keep meaning to pick up a few.

Right then I knew I was either about to have the worst breakfast of my life or one of the best stories. Thankfully, it was the latter. To the TripAdvisor reviewer, I only have one question. Did Gordon Ramsay personally cook breakfast for you every morning growing up? Because those are the only expectations that could possibly explain that review. This place is tiny, but that's exactly what makes it special. I felt like a regular before my coffee even had a chance to cool off. The owner, the servers, and even the folks in the kitchen made us feel like we'd been coming here for years. Sitting right next to our table was a plate of fake roaches and a pile of crooked silverware. Between that and all the hilarious signs and decorations covering the walls, I probably spent as much time looking around and laughing as I did eating. Every wall has something worth reading, and it's all part of the experience. The breakfast was fantastic, but honestly, that's not why I'll remember this place. A place that makes you laughh, treats you like family, and makes you feel like you belong before you've finished your first cup of coffee is much harder to find. Breakfast is simple, atmosphere is hard to achieve in today's society. The place has breakfast but delivers on culture and atmosphere. That's what makes it special. To the owners, thank you for proving that customer service isn't dead. You've created one of the most original restaurants I've ever visited. The food was excellent, but the experience is what I'll remember.

Walls are plastered with funny sayings and the staff adds to the irreverent vibe by yelling out loud "if you're eating, hurry up and if you're done, get the hell out of here" when it's busy and people are waiting for a table. The food is as good as any greasy diner. Basic breakfast is filling and reasonably priced. Plastic silver ware and paper plates make it easy clean up for the staff. Just be sure you check your coffee cup for chips. I don't like drinking from a chipped cup or glass and it may actually be illegal to serve beverages in those. The waitress was nice and took mine back and brought me one without chips. Although I don't think the management cares to replace them. Coffee is serve yourself from a carafe on the table as is the water from a pitcher.

We came across The Little Pie Shop & Cafe and decided to give it a try and we are so glad we did! When we arrived, we were told there could be about an hour wait. A few of us weren't sure we wanted to wait, but we decided to stick it out. To our surprise, we were seated within about 15 minutes, and the friendly service started our visit off on a great note. I'm not a big breakfast person, so I ordered the BLT with potato chips, and it was delicious. The rest of my party ordered breakfast items, and everyone raved about their meals. The portions were generous, prices very reasonable and everyone agreed the food was excellent. The real star of our visit, though, was the pie! i ordered a slice of the strawberry rhubarb and it was absolutely fantastic. It was truly the highlight of the meal, and I honestly regret not ordering a whole pie to bring home. This place is exactly what you hope to find when traveling, a charming, local, mom-and-pop gem with delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I live over an hour away, and I would absolutely make the drive back just to visit The Little Pie Shop & Cafe. Don't leave without trying the pie!

After we were seated (shade thank you), Our server Maxim, brought two glasses of ice water and a bowl of water for our guests baby. So nice that we didn't even ask! We sat in the back with a very nice view of the lake. We opted to share the arancini cheese balls and a pretzel burger. Perhaps it was the heat, but I didn't snap a photo of the burger and only remembered to snap a photo of the wine and arancini cheese balls. Nothing fancy, plastic cups and paper baskets. The arancini were in a glass bowl. The arancini were tasty. The sauce was good. Presented nicely with a sprinkle of Parmesan. The pretzel burger was ok. I had 1/3 of it and it was enough. I'm not a fan of pretzel buns. My husband really liked it. The French fries were really good with malt vinegar. We both had a glass of the lake side Riesling. It was nicely chilled. A tad on the sweet side. Good wine for a hot day. We enjoyed the slight breeze and there was a musician there at 6 pm. (Tom Todd). He is there every Monday and sometimes the weekend. He said they have different music every day of the week! The friendly service, atmosphere and music warranted easily 4.5 stars. The food while fine was 3 stars.
