This place is HORRIBLE! Was visiting from out of state and I was super excited to go to my first gay bar in NOLA. First 2 mins the doorman yelled at us because we were not aware that a bar.... had a $5 cover. Okay, whatever...it's $5 but he didn't have to scream at us. We get to the bar and ordered an AMF and the bartender had NOOOOO clue what type of drink that was. WTF?? We get our Vodka Crans because fortunately, the bartender knew what that was, and the boys dancing on the bar come over to us and start dancing. There was a total of 5 in my group (2 guys and 3 girls) and the doorman proceeded to tell us in a very rude manner, "You better keep these women with you at all times!" I felt unwelcome the entire time. The final straw was when the bartender SCREAMED at the dancer for dancing on the girls that came with us. He said something along the lines of, "I will fire your ass if you keep dancing on them!" We decided to leave after being there for no more than 15 mins. This place is the worst. I've never been treated like this in any of our local bars back home in California. I recommend going two blocks down the street to OZ or any other gay bar where they are not bitches to their customers. read more

I was absolutely disgusted by the place. It was nothing like I had imagined. Friends told me there were hot dancers there but it was actually too light up in the place because you could see meth sores over all the dancers bare butts. They charged a $5 cover which was ridiculous on a dead night and the sound system and the entire establishment needs a remodel badly. I felt sorry for the dancers not having a better place to go but then again they were all very aggressive the first night we went in then the next they were stuckup and ignored you. Ok so I am a lady who loves a good hustler bar, surrounded by my guy friends I had a blast here in this dirty and I mean dirty hustler bar. Straight out of a John Waters movie. Since female strip clubs are topless, not nude, here, I was surprised they get away with so much cock flashing, but hey, more power to 'em! I've only had one lap dance here; it's really not designed for that, and had to use a bar height stool! Not ideal. Spent a good portion of my Mardi Gras vacation here and had a ball. Myself and 3 friends travel a bunch and somehow always end up in a club that features dancers but these boys are by far the friendliest. Some of the other reviews are correct Corner Pocket is a bit small and when its busy it can be hard to move around, there are some boys working here who clearly are on something, there are also many who are open to hanging out after shift lol. Those things can cause some to skip this place but if you can overlook those three things much fun can be had here. If you go try get there on a weekend and check to see if the back bar is open. That will usually be run by Cody he not only makes awesome drinks he is an all around nice guy. read more

A couple of the guys came on way too strong and got truly offended when I said I wasn't interested, but most of the guys were polite and just did their job. Absolutely love this place. Came two nights in a row on this month's trip to New Orleans (so this makes 4 times visiting). Bartender is super nice and very attentive to what's going on around so the place gets wild, but not too wild. You can see by the reviews and how they go from 1 star to 5 with very little in between because this is all a matter of taste (or lack thereof depending on who you listen to). This place is either for you or it's not. Kinda no middle ground. We love dipping our toes into the seedy world every now and then, so this place is so good for that. Yes, these guys are pretty much hustlers, but they were all nice to us (and a couple were nice not just to get dollars). We go here every time we come to New Orleans and will continue to go. As a photographer/creative person, this place is a dream of character study. I'd kill to do a documentary of this place and it's ever transient group of boys. If you want to go here, don't take your mom unless she's REALLY open minded. LOL. Just do your research. You will see a LOT here. And if that's not your cup of tea, then look somewhere else. Also - the people complaining about a cover... Really? We paid $5. Big deal. It was a good $5 spent. A drop in the bucket compared to the amount of money we spent in singles those two nights. :-) if you want to go more than once to this bar, I'd recommend going on an "off" night and a busy night. We went here every night to see the cute "gator-boys". The were all pretty friendly for the most part , some were super nice and fun. The bartender was attentive and fun. Its alright...nothing more. Honestly, these boys are 95% straight and only gay-for-pay. While I can respect the few guys who are honest and admit that they're straight and just do it for the money (they actually are cool with gay guys and don't mind flirtation), most of the guys in there are not cool with gay guys and get all freaked out if you flirt back with them at all. On top of that, many of them aren't even that cute to look at, what with busted teeth and back acne that's due to who only knows what. I almost wanted to tip them to donate to their Invisalign fund or their dermatologist bill. I've seen far better all male strip clubs aimed at the gay community. read more

I'm giving this bar five stars because if you are smart, you can have the time of your life. However, I was not smart once and met a homicidal psychopath who was running from the law in Louisiana and several other states. So here's my advice: no matter what kind of psychological state you are in....traumatized or inebriated..don't meet up with anyone there, and don't share ANY personal information with anyone there. Don't linger outside the bar either...take a taxi elsewhere. When reviewers are saying "Hustlers'...insert psychopaths. The minute you let your guard down, one of the vultures will spread the word via cell phone, and you may find yourself in a pickle. So, it does take a fair amount of worldliness to navigate. I suggest never doing it alone, however. I used to go to this bar every weekend for several years. Staff tends to be very friendly, and although you can have fun, it tends to be addictive. It's less snobbish than some of the other bars in NOLA. At about six p.m. there is a drastic change in the level of consciousness in the Quarter, and this is a prime example of what it evolves into. Before six...sunday school girls. After six...animalism. Unsafe place, but a lot of fun. Tread carefully, and have fun. read more

Monday night had an excellent variety of dancers. There were twinks, muscle and hairy chests. Long hair to buzz-cut and jelled to perfection, it was all here ready to please. And they did. All were willing to give a little extra for a little extra. Although I only spent time with a Latin, they were all worthy of your attention. This is the best Ungentlemen's Club I have ever visited. I will preface this by saying that I am rating this on a different sort of scale. Were I just rating the bar, it would probable be a 1. The bar is fairly small and cramped inside, and the drinks are as basic as the come. I was irked that they only accepted cash as well, since I don't make a habit of carrying a lot around with me, especially when roaming around on vacation. This is billed as a "go-go" type bar, with guys that appear to have just been picked up on the street and brought inside to dance (in fancy briefs and sneakers, which kind of cracks me up.) The people watching factor is what amazes me...seeing old men leering at these average everyday guys, and handing over the money for more of a peek. While not dancing, the guys wander around the bar trying to solicit more money (and I could tell that some were selling a lot more than just a lap dance, if you get my drift.) I decided it was time to leave after one guy approached my partner and me and would just not go away...kept flirting and talking, giving us looks...until my partner finally said "we don't have any money," which finally made him move on. So, if you are looking for a place to people watch, check if out for a minute...until the desperation witnessed rushes you out the door. read more

The bar itself is small, a little dirty, and I've only paid a cover during a trip when southern decadence was going on. But the cheap drinks and very cute dancers makes me return every time I visit the Quarter. One night before returning to our room very late night we were wondering where to get food, 1 of the dancers overheard us and jumped down off the bar and took us to a bar/restaurant around the corner, stayed with us because he was worried about our slightly inebriated state, until we got our order and then escorted us back to our hotel with a goodnight kiss on the cheek and heartfelt wish for us to enjoy the rest of our visit.
