So, 6 months ago I got a group of my VERY close friends together and told them to clear all plans because we were going to DC together to celebrate the beginning of my chapter 28. On the last day I told them that we were having a photo shoot with a certain type of fabric and any colored heel they preferred (it HAD to be that fabric and a heel...my only request lol). I automatically knew who I needed to contact because ummmm...duh! He's one of my favorite friends made at ODU and I had been following his work since forever and he always makes me feel like a celebrity at homecoming . From the beginning Shane was professional! Although I know him on a personal level, i made sure to let him know to treat me like a new client, instead of his favorite Lady Sigma (he probably won't agree to that but I'm claiming that title so it's whatever ‍). It seemed like we were out in the sun for AGES but he didn't complain one bit, even though he was surrounded by 6 women in the blazing heat! Lol. Not even a week later (brownie points!) the photos were ready for review and we ALL loved them!! A comment was made by one of my friends and the PERFECT Christmas present (yes 5 months early ) came to mind! I told Shane then but told him not to rush since we had some time. November came and I sent out a reminder (because honestly i had forgotten myself ‍) and he jumped right on it! The books cames to me a week earlier than planned so i was left holding in the secret of the best Christmas present to my friends . But the looks on every last single one of their faces (i had to FT one because i was already in Aruba and she got her's in the mail and the other one opened her's without me on FT but told me her reaction) when they saw the book brought me to tears every time and it made the wait worth it. Used Cornerstone Captures for my wedding July 16, 2016 in Richmond, VA. OMG.. I can't even begin to tell you how impressed I was with this company. I hired Shane to do a Halloween shoot at a bonfire at the recommendation of one of his other clients and he did not disappoint. He was wonderful to work with right from the initial consultation, up to the actual shoot. He arrived early to stake out the location and was well prepared for the night time shoot. I tend to be camera shy, but I felt very comfortable with him and my other guests were impressed with his direction on poses (he's also very knowledgeable on anime and comic book characters, so definitely hit him up for your cosplay shoots). We all also loved the candids he took. We got the photos back in record time - he knew he would be traveling for another shoot, so he got our photos back to us *earlier* than his promised date rather than later. He took pictures of my son's first birthday (my first and only child) and captured so many great moments that I got more emotional looking at the pictures than I was at the actual party.
