My daughter has been here since she was 4, (now 7) . This studio is her second family. She has grown to know most of the students and all of the staff. Allie (dance owner) and all the teachers love all the students, they have had to have taught the big girls to be kind to the little girls because all of the bigger students are so amazing with the Littles. There are various classes , and the teachers and staff pour themselves into the students. I highly recommend this studio. Hours are convenient, staff is amazing, and the dance owner is always there if you ever need to speak with her. She's not an absentee owner. I have 3 children that have received excellent dance training and opportunities at this studio for the last 5 years. All the teachers show their love for dance and create a fun atmosphere. Not only are the teachers welcoming, all the children big and small are so sweet and warm. We felt we belonged from day one. Allie is so experienced, thoughtful and caring. She has wealth of information and is a true expert in the field but also has a graceful and fun way to teach kids on their own time frame. Both of my kids go here (11M and 9F) and have for 5 years. All of the teachers are excellent and I love the vibe. All of the teachers bring their own unique set of skills to their classes and support their students and their different learning styles. My wife and I do the adult tap class on Wednesday evenings and even as a beginner I have a blast. My 6yo daughter has been dancing at Elite for 2 years and we absolutely love it! Ballet classes with Allison are the best! She makes the classes fun and magical for little ones while maintaining a solid curriculum that even includes learning French! You can tell that she really loves teaching and loves her students, I really can't say enough good things about her! My daughter joined the Elite competition team this past year and I have watched her grow so much as a dancer! They won first place in their very first competition last Fall, which is a testament to their excellent teachers and classes. They do not have a lobby with a secretary, so they are difficult to reach by phone. Please don't let that deter you. I give this place one star only because I enjoyed watching my daughter at the recital. Now my experience....it was horrible! Go elsewhere. 1. The instructor is 16 teaching a beginning Teen class. She missed classes due to her own dance commitments. If the communication was better, I suppose this wouldn't be an issue. I'm sure she's a great dancer. But these girls were given little direction. 2. Fast forward to recital time. Dance is $60/month for one hour a week. The recital is $100 to participate in a 3 minute dance routine. On top of that, to watch, tickets are $15/each! We were old tix could be bought at the door and then received an email that they were sold out! I'm sorry...what?! I can't go watch my daughter dance in a recital I paid for her to be in?!! I got to go but not without some chaos to get it done. 3. Costumes...my daughter's was too small. The instructor mentioned in front of the entire class that hers was too small and it was her fault now that they couldn't wear their costumes for their group pictures the following day. My girl was embarrassed and upset and felt horrible. I was told to come to the studio the following Friday to pick up get re-ordered dress between noon and 9pm. I wasn't until the third time we went that we found Allison, the owner, who told us my daughters costume wasn't in. ( they had rescheduled pics for the following day ). She assured us it would be delivered for pictures. We showed up to pics the next day, no dress. All of the girls were in different dresses. It was chaos. Nobody knew what was going on and there was zero communication. 4. Dress rehearsal was a nightmare. Their group didn't go on when scheduled and nobody knew why. When my daughter asked Allison if she was going to get her dress, she was told that her dress wasn't her priority because she has 150 other things going on. They were given a completely different dress to wear for the recital. Don't go there. It was such a bad experience. I could go on and on but I'll be lucky if you're still reading at this point. read more

In all honesty, I would never recommend this place to anyone. My daughter attended for a few weeks. I do think her instructor was good with the kids, but on the administration side they are horrible. The companies policies is the worse I have ever seen. As a membership specialist, I would never not refund someone that is unable to attend. I give refunds all the time because I understand 1.) some people might not like our program and it's okay. 2.) at times schedules are conflicting 3.) customers will always come back or referral if they are treated correctly. Long story short, my husband and I brought a house and we both work two jobs with two girls. So, our time is very limited during basketball season because we both coach across town. We asked to be placed on hold for the month of November with intention to return in December. Not knowing how tight our schedule would be. We ended up being charged for December, so I reached out to the administrator asking for a refund. After not returning calls or texts, they sent a policy that's not even on their website stating they don't issue refunds after the payment is processed. Also, never offered for us to use the tuition for the following month. Now, my daughter was hoping to go back after the new year and it will be easier to find her a new dance studio. Truly wouldn't recommend this organization to anyone. read more

My daughter trained at Elite Studio of Dance for 13 years. She started in the intro to dance classes and moved up through the program until she graduated from high school last year. My daughter received the technical training and mastery of movement quality needed to be accepted into the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater BFA Program at Fordham University. We are thankful to Allison and her staff for the opportunities provided to their dancers. Elite hosts Master Classes in all genres of dance and brings in celebrated industry choreographers to expand the students exposure to dance. I tried really hard to like this place BUT the communication is horrible!!! Everything is online. Everything is overpriced. Very disorganised. Overcrowded classes. Ex: Class cancels, no call to parents (several of us left waiting). Three emails requesting dropping classes (the only way to do it), and no responses, yet automatically charged for another month. My almost 4 year old son took an Intro to Dance class here over the summer. We had asked him about a lot of different activities from sports to music and dance was about the only thing he said he wanted to take. I looked at a lot of different schools online and I was looking for a school that wasn't overly pink and frilly where he might feel left out considering he might be the only boy in class. If a website did not address the boys dress code, I did not even consider them. If I contacted a school via email and got no response, I did not consider them. Elite is very gender neutral in decor and they were specific about boys dress code (although it was not strict for this age group) and even had some male instructors. I also liked that they started with an Introductory class since I was not sure what type of dance my son might prefer. When I contacted them I recieved a quick response from one of the co-owners and she answered all of my questions. In addition, she offered a trial dance class for him to decide if he liked it. Also they had a summer session, so he could try it for a longer period without committing to six months or longer like some schools require. For the older age groups they ask that you typically drop them off for class, with one week a month where parents can watch. For the little kids (3-5) they allow you to stay and they have a small waiting room where you can watch through the window. They have three different dance areas, so during the week there can be three classes going on simultaneously. They have annual recitals in the spring and from the pictures posted on the website they seem to be very high quality in terms of costumes, photos and technique. My son is very high energy and loves music, so I was happy that the music they played was not just soft ballet type music for his class. There was some of that, but they also played high energy hip hop/samba from the Rio soundtrack. In the Intro class it was mostly teaching general movement with a warm-up, half ballet and half tap. The teacher was very patient with all the little ones who have short attention spans and lots of energy. Unfortunately my son has more energy and a shorter attention span than most and she had to spend a lot of time trying to get him back on task. For most of the summer session she kept saying that she would have an assistant at the next class but did not get one until the third to the last class. At this time we have decided that our kid needs a little more time before we pay for anymore structured activities. This is not because of Elite, but because of his personality and lack of self-control. He would talk about dance class all week, but then he would resist class and the teacher's instructions and then cry when the class was over. At the end of class as a reward they would spray sparkles on the kids arms and give them lollipops. We let him have the sparkles, if he wanted them, which he typically did. This is the kid who would shout about the Hulk and Spiderman during class, he is definitely secure with who he is. He just needs more time and listening skills before we sign him up for anymore activites. Hopefully this will happen in the next year or so and if he asks to do dance again we will most likely be bringing him back to Elite. read more

I'm so glad that I switched my 6 years old daughter to Elite Studio of Dance in Elk Grove couple years ago. She started intro to dance with Ms Christina, she loves it so much & Ms Christina was so patient with young kid. Then she moved on to Ballet 1 with Ms Allison, with the patient & techniques Ms Allison has, my daughter's bellet improved a lot. She also took the a Tap/Jazz combo class with Ms Sandy, my daughter loves her as well & learned so much different techniques from her too. I am so proud of my daughter got chosen into the competition team 2017 - 2018 & she's so excited about it. For the coming dance year, my daughter will move on to Tap 1 & Jazz 1. Elite Studio of Dance is one of best dance school. They offer dance classes from Ballet to hip hop for age 3 to adults. They also offer scholarship for school age students. This place is a rip-off!!!!!! They charge you $100.00, $25.00 to participate in the recital, really, and $75.00 for the costume. The real rip-off is my daughter came home with a dance tight and shirt from Justice store. The tight was on clearance and a shirt, max should be no more than $30.00. Can't believe that charge $75.00, could understand if it was being custom made for each dancer. Now you have to pay $15.00 per ticket, ridiculous. Not taking my daughter back!!!! read more

My daughter has been a member of this wonderful Elite family for 5 years . Allison, Heather , Christina and their team are amazing beyond words! They encourage , inspire and motivate kids to be the best dancer they can be. My daughter's confidence has improved and she has been taught not just dance but good work ethic, compassion towards others and persistence!! Even if she has trouble with mastering a skill her teachers will never give up on her and help her get there!! She loves going on stage with a big ole smile on her face. Over the years when any Elite family have encountered tragic situations it is without hesitation, Allison gets the Elite family to rally around to help however we can! Her compassion and kindness for the kids and families is an inspiration to all. At the recital there were times where I felt like I was at broadway show !!, that is the level and quality of professional choreography that this school teaches ! I believe this studio is great. If your looking for a great place with loveand care this is the place for you. Coming here since I was little and still going strong! Recital time is hectic and tkckets are a small problem but the dance experience is very good and helpful if your looking for structure. There is dance classes for the little ones and if mainly focuses on focus in class, corrdinaton, and small easy skills. For the older kids there are more challenging and harder classes such as ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, improve, lyrical, and hip hop. I love this place and I'm sure you will love it. read more

Elite is great! The instructors are amazing! Both of my girls are taking classes and they love it! It has been a big confidence boost for both of my shy little girls. Since this is the first review, I will try to be as thorough as possible. To start off, my daughter has been dancing here for 2 years and has taken jazz, tap, ballet, River Kitties, and hip hop. My son has also taken the teen hip hop class. Class size are good normally 8-12 per class, so not too many and enough to put together a good routine for the recital at the end of the year. The teachers are all attentive and will work the class flow depending on the students. My daughter has been in classes with both active girls and serious girls, the classes really reflected the type of students in the class. Your child really will learn the technique of what ever style is being taught. I have seen a great improvement in form since starting here. Tuition is very reasonable with a discount for siblings. Classes are in the evenings, 3:30PM is the earliest class and that is for the little kids. There is a ballet dress code. Overall, we have been very pleased with our experience at Elite. read more

They didn't have the courtesy to return my call.
