The scheduler handled my insurance, reached out to my Dr. for a referral and scheduled me several weeks out so I didn't have to worry about that later. Lexi was my PT and she was the best. Because I'm pregnant I was limited in what I could manage; she modified stretches and made sure I was comfortable while still providing relief. I reported my pain level an 8/10 at our first appointment and by the last one, it was 3/10. I'm still doing stretches daily and while it flares up every now and then, I can function again. I received massage therapy for about a year here with a good therapist who took his job and my health very seriously, but he left. They have been booking way out and have not hired anyone else, so I had to take an appt. elsewhere as I am a 66 y.o. woman with quite severe hip, neck, back, and knee pain. When I came in last week on my spring break (I'm a teacher), I tweaked my upper hip getting out of the car, and went inside. I paid my copay, and was waiting for Mia to come out. The front office staff member told her I had pulled on a muscle, so when Mia came out I explained that I better not have that area worked on, and also at my one appt. I could find a week before, the therapist used hot stones around my neck, and together with the high stress I'm under (my mother is dying and daughter in crisis), I was recovering from a stress rash around my neck, so please don't work there. But I still needed to get relief/have the long awaited treatment on my lower hips, upper back, legs, arms, etc., to which she replied with a rude tone of voice and facial expression: "For An Hour??" I tried to explain that yes, I needed it, as my steady therapy was not available. She then said: " I have a waiting list of 100 people". I said, I'm here waiting to get help for my pain and you're telling me about how many people are on your wait list? To which she said: "I didn't say that"... (a complete lie-she just said it). So..... Her attitude of complete lack of concern for the clients welfare, lack of professionalism, care or intention to H-E-L-P me get the therapy for which I came there, lead me to never want to go back again. She is not fit to serve as a health care provider, and even though our region has a shortage of massage therapists, you want to avoid going to IRG Silverlake with Mia, who will treat you rudely and inappropriately if she feels like it, no integrity whatsoever. Also in the one prior appt. I had with her, it was at a very lackluster and mediocre skill level. I would like to add that the director did call me and took notes on what happened, and did apologize, which was appreciated. I do think that based on my experience over the year, that he Does Care about the quality of service they provide to their clients seeking treatment from pain and mobility issues. However, their lack of hiring someone to cover the need of clients for three months is troubling (I don't know to what extent he is responsible). Health Care is in a seriously difficult situation though now, financially and otherwise, and I had tried to give the benefit of the doubt, until being treated with such a low level of concern for the welfare of my health, and the basics of how to treat a client with courtesy and care. So, after at least 3 phone calls, the date for my first appointment was mixed up and I missed it. Finally, I get an appointment and there is no one in their office to take my insurance info. Why I even bothered after this point is beyond me! 1st appointment for an evaluation was fine. I thought maybe I had misjudged the place. 2nd appointment was unsatisfactory. The PT told me that they were terribly understaffed and she looked like she was ready to cry. After that visit, I decided to go to the trouble (and the new wait time) of getting a new referral for a different rehab place. So now, a month later, I get a bill for "services" totaling over $400. Services? For what? I would suggest you find a different PT office, if you are looking for help. Summit on 19th Ave, Silver Lake area may have been a great office 6 months ago but in my experience, it was a huge waste of time. I WILL be disputing this bill!!

They are all so wonderful and knowledgable. My entire session is filled with princess exercises (and the frequent jocks that come in and put mine to shame lol), massages or ((UGH)) ice therapy. There is also a wandering Dopey pez that I have yet to find. I leave there feeling like I deserve my ice cream cone. Hopefully I won't need therapy again in my whole life, but if I do, I will definitely come back to this place!

His surgical skills are outstanding and without question was the most recommended. I had no difficulty at all post op. My surgery was done at Proliance Surgical Center and their staff are the best (not surprised) and Dr. Christal's support staff at the Proliance Orthopedic Center in Edmonds were responsive, friendly and very efficient (again, not surprised). Another very important issue is the thoroughness with which Dr. Christal prepares his patients for surgery. He builds into the process the conscientious attention to detail and in particular his instructions regarding limiting the chance of infection by starting "decolonization" five days before surgery and setting PT goals early were appreciated. His pain management is stellar and I recovered with lightening speed. [My physical therapy was handled by Evergreen Home Health, so see also their yelp review.] I would recommend Dr. Christal to anyone seeking knee surgery. A sudden mobility issue happened back on 2/17/26. Working with my primary care facility and…read morephysician at Pacific Medical Center - Shoreline, I was referred to, had Xrays completed and evaluated at Swedish Edmonds Urgent Care that evening. The PA-C seen referred me to Edmonds Orthopedic Center (affiliated with Proliance Surgeons), located also at the Swedish Edmonds medical campus. My initial evaluation was with Michael Lee, MD on 2/23/26 where it was determined a MRI was needed to make a definitive diagnosis. This was completed at an affiliate site, North Puget Sound MRI in Mountlake Terrace on 3/6/26. My MRI results and next steps were addressed again with another appointment with Dr. Lee on 3/12/26. The MRI brought to light my current situation and potential future issues to be made aware of. I also received a cortisone steroid shot to help reduce discomfort and inflammation at this visit. My recovery is still ongoing, just thankful no physical therapy and/or surgical intervention are needed at this time. Yes, one has to deal with the wait (blame the insurance and medical care system in the US). Overall, I have been pleased with the professional care provided without the hassles of having to see similar organizations in downtown Seattle. It is much more accessible as a Shoreline resident to be seen at northend sites in Edmonds and Mountlake Terrace. My interactions via phone, online, and onsite have been favorable. Pro tips: Understand that time is needed to have referrals reviewed and approved by one's insurance coverage, especially if there were any policy changes. This does affect scheduling and copays. Exercise your patience, do your due diligence to follow up, ask questions and for clarity to advocate for the best outcome for your care. Give yourself extra time to locate parking, whether on the adjacent street, main parking lot, or parking garage whether you are dropped off or driving yourself. It does get congested and not fun with limited mobility and inclement weather. The common areas like lobby, elevators, and waiting areas are busy so be proactive to wear a mask and/or use hand sanitizer. Complete any online check-in requests prior to your actual onsite appointment. This will streamline your check-in process. Copays can be paid ahead or at the check-in counter. Lola is…read morenot only a receptionist who sits at the front desk, she is also a scheduler, but most importantly, Lola is a walking wealth of knowledge regarding every aspect of Axis Physical Therapy to include information about Insurance, DPTs, and PTAs. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, she is professional, and extremely personable. She genuinely cares about people and takes pride in her work. You hit the jackpot if she is your first contact as she was my husband's who called the facility on my behalf to research the level of skill and credentials at Axis because I had been to a previous PT who only has two Masters degrees so was not a DPT. After several months, I left without success and physically worse off. I was weary and leery of starting anew. I made the right choice going to Axis because every DPT is highly credentialed and I improved! If you have a lot of questions or concerns regarding this facility and staff, be assured they will help you. Everyone I encountered was very well trained. I had the best aide I have ever had! I do not exaggerate. Her name is Kat. She is currently working toward a Doctorates in Physical Therapy. Her degrees are in Kinesiology and Psychology which make her an excellent aide! Once she receives her DPT her talent will soar as she will combine her knowledge of kinesiology and psychology. As an aide, she had the education of how important proper body mechanics and movement is for pain relief and pain management as our limitations affect all areas of life. Kat is very professional and has more knowledge than any PTA that has ever helped me. She knew how to help me without hesitation. I felt vey confident in her ability. Axis is very accommodating. I asked to work with a female. I worked with two female DPTs, Lia and Jessica. Axis has two DPTs work together, alternating sessions, to make sure they have a more complete understanding of a patient's needs and condition each bringing their own expertise. I was uncomfortable at first because I had only worked with one DPT or PT. I didn't understand why two different people were working with me. They were both very different and very helpful. Two people have better eyes on a patient than one. I had no strength in my transverse abdominal muscles when I first started. I went twice a week and was very vigilant with my home exercises. To my surprise I improved very fast! Axis Physical Therapy is very well run and the staff are a very friendly team.

After being brushed off, by an overpriced orthopedic doctor.....I had a very bad fall, he finally agreed I needed more than an Amazon brace. Referred here. Dr. Jessica is amaze-balls. She looks so sweet, but brought the pain. It was awful, seriously. I had bruises constantly on that leg/ankle area. As she promised, if I stuck with it, I'd be able to avoid surgery and it would help. I trusted her, got through the pain. Followed her home exercises and 6 months later I'm feeling a lot better. I'd recommend her and the staff to anyone looking for quality physical therapy, not a pill to numb the pain.
