We were having a hard time deciding between the two so we got both and cut them in half. The burger was good, but we enjoyed the short rib sandwich the most. It was flavorful, fell apart as you were eating it, and was just a great choice. Our waiter was super friendly l. It wasn't overly busy for a Saturday so it was nice to have a quiet-ish lunch. Wow. I finally stopped in tonight after a friend recommended Cornerstone Pub and I was pleasantly surprised. I've driven by many times over the years and always said we should try it, and now that we're close by, I'm glad we did. We arrived a little late on Valentine's Day as a party of three and still had a few seating options. We chose a high-top next to the bar, which was perfect for the lively atmosphere. Our server was excellent. I didn't catch his name, but the receipt says Rondo S. He was full of energy, had great suggestions, and made the whole experience even better. As someone who eats gluten free, I was excited to see so many options on the menu. We were so hungry I forgot to take photos, but my balsamic onion burger was absolutely delicious. I'm already looking forward to the leftovers. I also loved my "liquid dessert" espresso martini with Baileys. This is one of those places that you drive by for 20 years and always say we should stop there one day...well that's exactly what we did today . Came on a beautiful spring Saturday around 4:00 and grabbed 2 seats at the bar. The 3 bartenders were all friendly. Got 2 beers, 2 mixed drinks. onion rings, fish and chips, baked scrod and 2 side salads-$122 fair value for what we got! My friend and I went hiking nearby and worked up an appetite. We were initially going to Wendy's but got lost along the way and eventually ended up at cornerstone pub. We were both in the mood for a sandwich, something casual and not too big. We agreed on the Italian sub, toasted, with mayonnaise (in addition to the vinegar and oil). While we waited for our order, we were invited to sit at the bar. The bartender was kind to offer us some water which we accepted. After about 10 minutes, the food was ready. For about $15, we got a sandwich that was about a foot long, cut in half, with some fries. I regret not asking for a dipping sauce for the fries. They were hot, crispy, and delicious on their own but ranch would've made them better. The sandwich was good. It had a good amount of meat, but it did come with a lot of banana peppers which might have been a bit overpowering. The toppings were fresh, and the cheese was perfectly melted. Between customer service and quality of food, I was very satisfied. They do have a big parking lot, and are very close to stepping falls for a good hike if you're up for it. read more

We have passed this place many times on getting to I95S headed to NYC. Often see many parked cars there. A neighbor recommended it as "the best burger in RI." As we were in the area for a volunteer event, we dropped in for lunch (this would not be a typical "let's go for a burger at Cornerstone Pub" as it is a 45-minute drive). Well, he could be right. Clearly one of the best burgers I have had in years. I had the classic cheeseburger "well done." Why it works is the potato bun that stays intact throughout your meal and that the ingredients (tomato, onion, etc.) are the right size. A very tasty burger. A choice of sides. Nice décor and great service. A HUGE selection of beers and cider on tap. Damages for 2 with beers was $60. read more

We have been going to this restaurant for over 10 plus years and it has always been great, except for tonight. If it wasn't for our bartender, Zac we wouldn't go back. We ordered an appetizer and it took over 40 minutes to come out. My husband got his fish & chips which were delicious except my dinner didn't come out with his. I again had to wait for 30 or more for mine to come out. At this point I already ate half of my husband dish because I was starving. When it did come out it was missing the mashed potatoes! My Husband and I were camping locally and after a fun filled weekend we decided to end the weekend by going out to dinner rather than grilling. Cornerstone Pub was just 10 min away. The reviews were also very promising so we opted to go here. It was a Sunday late afternoon. The pub was about three quarters full. We were asked if we preferred a table or to sit at the bar? We chose the bar and was sat immediately. The bartender provided us with both drink menus and food menus. The drink menu had lotsa options! Just what we were looking for! My husband and I ordered a couple of different IPA's prior to ordering appetizers and an entree. Of the three IPA's only one wasn't to our liking but the rest were yummy. For entrees we ordered the Buffalo Chicken Dip and Sweet Chili BBQ wings. The Buffalo Chicken Dip was literally the BEST we'd ever had! Highly recommend it! The Sweet Chili BBQ Wings were cooked to perfection. For an entree we split the Open Face Prime Rib sandwich with Au Jus Dip Sauce. Soooo good!!!!! Our servers were wicked sweet and friendly! They had even recommended a brewery to us that isn't far from where we'll be celebrating our 23rd Wedding Anniversary in weeks to come. We really felt at home here. After dinner they highly recommended their chocolate moose. Everything was so darn delicious we of course HAD to and that too was unbelievably yummy. A very popular pub style eatery that offers more than your normal pub style restaurant. Been here many times before and it's been many months since my last visit. Really good menu selection and nightly specials their prime rib specials are pretty good. Great salads and sandwiches to burgers. I was not too happy the last time I was here when I ordered the stuffies for the first time and they deep fried the suckers so they were crispy and completely oily on the shell. I am a bit of a wing connoisseur and I do a great job on the grill myself (if I do say so myself). that said I would never get these again they were big plump undercooked skin ...great if you're really hungry and don't care about what a great wing should taste like. On a recommendation from the bartender I got the Italian grinder.... Just nothing that I would repeat. Kind of a soft wettish mess. Large portions great if you're starving but if you know a really good Italian grinder it's way below that bar. I will admit I am a bit fussy ....if you're not this place is great. On a positive note it has an awesome bar about 40 chairs in a large rectangle... the beer I got was super cold tasted super fresh and the selection was great. We traveled 1,700 miles to play a round of Golf at Fenner Hill in Hope Valley, RI (love this course) and stopped at the Cornerstone Pub for drinks and dinner at the bar. What a find! In the middle of nowhere but who are these people? This is a six star location, built around a rectangular bar that takes up 90% of the place, a craft brew expert on the premises and whoever the chef is deserves a Michelin star, no joke. The baked scrod is other-worldly, battered in a light crust we can best guess as cracker soaked in butter-- amazing! The Meatball and pasta deserves a restaurant of it's own, the gravy excellent and the pasta perfectly cooked. The only thing missing was a diving board. The staff were attentive, excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. Of the 1,700 mile journey, this was at the top of our list. read more
