    Bags of peanuts and popcorn

Nothing has changed here since my last review, I even had the same rib eye steak sandwich, and just like last time, it was like butter. No need for the steak knife it came with! My husband had a Reuben, which he said was very good and chuck full of meat. The music tonight was outside, but there are only chairs and the fire pit. Tables are on the other side in the back, so not sure if you would be able to hear the band very well. We had 2 waitresses trying to take care of us, but they figured it out and we were good to go. Again, it can get noisy, it's a great spot to bring the kids

The food here is consistently excellent and the service is always attentive and fun. This is our regular place now. Looking forward the band to come on at 7pm.

Jen, our server was excellent! She was personable and attentive and knowledgeable of the entire menu. My house Cabernet was delicious! The pulled pork nachos were amazing! The food is fresh and cooked to perfection. We had leftover white pizza and Philly cheese steak sandwiches to enjoy the following day. Looking forward to treating our children and grandkids again soon!

Stopped in for Sunday lunch nicely surprised by the ambience, quick service and an excellent meal. The chicken waffles were excellent highly recommend, as well as a turkey burger, freshly pressed.

Arrived 5:30. It is now 7:35. Took a while to order drinks, 20 minutes later to serve them, 30 minutes later to take our order, which we are still waiting to be served. Our poor server is tending bar as well as trying to wait on us. Only 4 tables occupied. Terrible!!!!

Good food and atmosphere anyone saying otherwise must have escaped from the local nursing home and is accustomed to eating slim Jim's.

This was a lovely experience, and one I wouldn't mind repeating…read more West Passage is right across from the Smith's Castle entrance on Post Road. Yes, it is a brewing company. Yes, there is a bar, BUT it is also a treasured North Kingstown breakfast spot. We arrived on Saturday morning--not crazy busy, but busy enough that having only one server and the owner working at around 10 a.m. did not bode well. That concern quickly faded once we placed our orders. The owner was gracious and helpful and did a good job managing the pace. Our party of three ordered the French Toast TX style -- from a very finicky member of our party making specific customizations -- all accommodated with a smile, a Crow's Nest Benny, and, for me, Tres Quesadilla. Hands down, this was the best presentation of a breakfast quesadilla I have ever ordered. Why? Just look at the accompanying picture. The tortillas were cut into smaller, easier-to-handle, triangular pieces. Tortillas can be messy to eat. The salt potato home fries are probably one of the Top 5 I've ever had in my life. No, really. Very subjective, yes, but if you like your home fries crispy on the outside and not soggy on the inside, flavorful--then you might agree. There are high-top tables and regular tables inside -- plenty of light streaming through the place. You can even have breakfast at the bar. There's also outside seating. The foyer with the living-room-style seating is charming and cozy. I've already been thinking about going back for drinks and sitting in this area. If you don't mind a little drive for brunch and want to try something far from the madding crowd of Providence, this would be it.

West Passage is clearly dedicating its efforts to brewing as it has some tasty beers. The food is…read moremid and overpriced for the quality.

She showed me to my table, brought a carafe of water, and welcomed me in. I was quickly welcomed by Sergio, my server, who shared the special and the soup of the day. Once I ordered my soda I took in the ambiance of the bar, new lights, and the rest of the restaurant. It's not a large building but they make every inch count. Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. I will absolutely be back to the Shanty next time I'm in town.

The Mac and cheese was delicious and a bit garlicky. It was the breadcrumbs but worth it. The flatbread was more of a personal pizza than a flat bread and it was hot honey and delicious. And the wings were the perfect amount of sweet and savory. It's smaller than you think and I can understand why they would be busy all the time. It's a great establishment.

Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors went together well. 6 of the 8 people got steak tips. We chose this place for lunch on our way back to Connecticut after visiting the Providence Zoo…read more Unfortunately, it's not somewhere we'll likely stop again. Before going, I noticed several reviews mentioning that the food lacked flavor. After eating here, I'd have to agree. We started with the Strawberry Burrata appetizer. The burrata itself was good, but the strawberries tasted like they came from a can or pie filling instead of being fresh. It's the middle of summer, so that was disappointing. The focaccia served with it was fresh, but completely unseasoned and bland. A little olive oil, herbs, or flaky salt would have made a huge difference. For our entrees, we ordered the pasta special with chicken, peppers, and "broccolini" in a garlic sauce, along with the short rib grilled cheese and garlic Parmesan chips. First, the dish didn't contain broccolini--it was regular broccoli. That's not a huge deal, but the menu should be accurate. The penne was undercooked, the red peppers tasted like they came from a can, and the broccoli seemed straight from a frozen bag. The entire dish arrived tasting like it had been reheated in a microwave rather than cooked to order. There were only a couple of other tables in the restaurant, and they had only been open for about an hour, so that was surprising. On top of that, the dish was very bland. The short rib grilled cheese was actually the highlight of the meal. The short rib was tender and flavorful, and the sandwich had a lot of potential. However, the plain focaccia made it a little dry, and it really could have used some type of sauce or spread to bring everything together. The garlic Parmesan chips were stale, bland, and also seemed pre-made. To top it off, the menu clearly advertises that kids eat free all day on Mondays, yet we were charged $8 each for our kids' penne with red sauce. This restaurant has the potential to be really good. The ingredients and menu ideas are there, but the execution falls short. Fresher ingredients, cooking food to order, more seasoning, and a little more creativity would make a world of difference.
