Solid bar. Came for a quick drink and snack on a Sunday evening and it wasn't too busy. Bartenders were kind and the food was alright. The buffalo wings were slightly dry but the sliders were great. They have two floors so there's a fair amount of space as well.

We stopped in for Sunday brunch endlessly mimosas. They were only $20 for 90 min. What a deal! My dish was delicious and filling. Our table also ordered nachos, wings, spicy Caesar and an egg dish. We were all pleased. The bar was empty. We arrived at 11. The service was great. Can't wait to go back.

Stopped in for lunch. Great staff, French Onion burger was good, and the fries were great!

A fun spot for NFL Sunday -- the staff is really nice and changed the TVs near us so we could watch the 9ers! They also had a fun DJ with a raffle giveaway, which kept the bar lively. I'd recommend getting a beer tower to share, didn't feel too strongly about the fries or onion dip.

Cornerstone Tavern is a cozy, noteworthy gem in the league of sports bars in NYC--whether it be wandering in after a long day in the hustle and bustle, meeting up with friends, catching up on some football, testing your knowledge at trivia nights, and my favorite: karaoke nights! There's something about belting out bops in a timeless, tavern style venue that takes away the nerves of singing your heart out. With less ego, and more community, I love how the host helps everyone feel encouraged and comfortable, handing over the mic like a passing of the baton, and supporting every singer along with the crowd. I was so moved in singing November Rain, and these two British lads were so kind and even shook my hand. I had such a wonderful time, and appreciate the times I've occasionally found myself at Cornerstone Tavern, with an amazing team of bartenders and staff overall who create quite the legacy in Turtle Bay. These folks work so hard, probably with very long hours, but nonetheless treat their customers like family. Thank you all for cheering me up, and creating such an awesome space. I will try my best to be back soon :) Happy Holidays!

Came here for drag brunch and it was so fun! Insanely affordable, the bottomless was an amazing deal, and the chicken sandwich I had was an INSANE portion. So so filling and some of the best fries I've ever had. Plus - the queen was so funny and fun. A little more quiet and lowkey than other drag brunches, but for the price and quality I think it's such a deal. Bringing my family here next time they visit!

It's a college bar. We came for the karaoke. Be prepared to wait in line and fight the regulars for a spot to sing. The bartenders cater to the regulars, which is fine, but don't treat new customers like crap! One person went to the bathroom and when she came back, the bartender bumped her song up to the front of the line again! Another guy rolled his eyes at us when we asked for another beer, scoffing as if the three feet he had to walk back to grab a beer inconvenienced him. But a highlight - we found this painting of a depressed Taylor Swift!

Took my good friend to the drag brunch they have at Cornerstone every other Saturday this past weekend- it was my first time coming here, but it was a great experience! We were seated in the upstairs area for the show, and the bartender working up there was very attentive and nice. Only the brunch menu was available at the time, so I got the shakshuka- one of my favorite dishes. It was amazing- especially when there was warm and crispy garlic pita bread to dip in the sauce. The fries were also really good too, perfectly seasoned and crispy. Will definitely come here again!

A great place in Midtown to get drinks after a long day at work. They are offering outdoor dining, but per Governor Cuomo's regulations, you must also order food to get drinks. Apparently it wasn't enough to just get their popcorn, so we order two appetizers. Order: - Chicken fingers (3/5) - Truffled popcorn (4/5) - Strawberry lemonade (5/5) - Al Fresca (3/5) Pros: - Great drink menu - Large portions - Quick and kind service Cons: - Typical bar food ~ not the most delicious thing you'll have, but it'll hit the spot while drinking Overall: Don't expect a 5 star experience. This bar is a great place for Friday nights after work to blow off some steam

Came to Cornerstone for their Pride Brunch, and wow how much fun! I'm used to Miami Drag Brunches where queens are doing flips, so this was different for me but still fun! The bartenders were attentive always making sure our mimosas were full. The food was delicious. Great time!

This is the go-to lunch and happy hour spot around the office. Spacious. Very kind staff. Great food decently priced drinks. Kind regulars.

Where's the rest of my drink? Like laughable. But expect the glass to be always half empty at this place.

Whether you're upstairs for the 3rd floor vibe, mid-level for the perfect sightline, or down in the cozy den with the best acoustics, this is New York sports bar energy: loud, a little brazen, impossibly welcoming. One particular bartender, Delaney not only brings an awesome level of energy to the bar, she saunters in like a halftime show -- a grin that's equal parts mischief and welcome. She's all quick elbows and quicker comebacks, the kind of bartender who remembers your name, your drink, and that one ridiculous story you told months ago. Her laugh is loud, her wink is devious, and she has a way of making first-timers feel like regulars by the second round. Behind the wooden bar she's choreography: expert pours, theatrical muddles, and a flourish that makes every order feel curated. We reserved for a quick bite at Redeye Grill before catching Dog Day Afternoon on Broadway, but as soon as we walked up, some bouncer told us they were closed for a private wedding reception. We were dazed and confused because how was I able to reserve online? But the real plot twist was that it ended up being the best thing that happened. We actually stumbled into Tanner Smith's thinking it'd be the typical, boring bar-food spot. Nope. They first sat us at a hi-top by the door, but that wasn't our vibe, so we grabbed seats at the bar instead. Best decision. Our bartender, Josiah, was absolutely killing it. My cocktail had passion fruit, so of course I asked my usual question: "But is it real passion fruit?" He just nodded in agreement and that told me everything I needed to know. That drink was legit and had nice strength. The food was great too. My fish tacos were packed with fresh fish, the guacamole and salsa were chunky and full of flavor and hubs enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. I have no clue when we'll be back in Midtown, but one thing's for sure- we're sitting with Josiah again.

Two-part, proper settle, tight dome, no rushing it. That's rarer than it should be in Midtown where half the bars treat a stout like a lager. Whoever's behind the bar here has been trained or grew up around it. Food's better than a second-floor pub between 5th and 6th has any right to be. The JRB burger comes on a house-ground patty (they grind in-house, and you can tell, loose texture, actual seasoning), caramelized onions cooked down all the way, not just softened, good cheese pull. Fried pickles on the side had a crisp cornmeal shell and stayed crunchy under the burger juices, which never happens. Buttermilk chicken salad was the surprise. Chicken actually brined, crust stayed on, greens weren't an afterthought. Only real knock: music was loud. Not sports-bar loud, more like the bartender's playlist got away from him. Fine at the bar, harder at a table if you want to talk. Room's got real bones. Reclaimed barn wood, old rail track as a foot rest, that big 45-star flag on the wall. Been here almost 20 years and it's aged into itself. For the neighborhood the pricing's fair. Beats P.J. Clarke's on the burger, loses on quiet. Go for a beer and a burger, not a date.
