My family and I had the pleasure of visiting Haswell Green's twice during our recent trip to New York, and I wanted to reach out to commend the team on the exceptional service we received. Our first visit was for drinks and appetizers before a show. Despite being busy, the staff was incredibly kind and ensured we were served quickly so we could make our performance on time. We enjoyed the atmosphere and service so much that we returned the following night for dinner. We ordered the Margherita pizza, the Bee My Honey pizza, and the seared ahi tuna; every dish was excellent. Great vibe, friendly staff. Food fell short though. It's never good when you bite into a cheeseburger and the paper on the cheese slice was on the burger! I had a fantastic experience at Haswell Green's! They have a happy hour that ends at 8pm which is very generous for the city. I also love how extensive their specialty cocktail menu is, and it includes photos of the drinks which is super helpful. The bartender was very friendly and bubbly. I had a cocktail that had gin, dragonfruit, coconut and mint which was out of this world! I'll definitely back to try more menu items very soon! read more

We came by here for dinner on a Monday evening, which was slow. Unfortunately, the upstairs was closed off. Once seated, it took awhile for us to order our food. I opted for the Espresso Martini Flight ($40), which comes with a white chocolate, Bailey's, and classic. This was a fun drink to share with others. For food, we ordered the Bee My Honey Pizza ($23) and the seasonal Irish Spice Bag ($22). These were a bit disappointing as the pizza was pretty much a personal size. We stopped in on 5/27/26 for an early lunch before a matinee, as the theatre was right across the street. The staff is super friendly & accommodating; the restaurant itself (including the bathrooms) is extremely clean and well maintained. For cocktails, we got the espresso martini & silver screen. Both were delicious and strong. For food, we got the arancini and general tso cauliflower. Both were hot, fresh, and flavorful. The cauliflower was nice and crispy as well. Tried them out since they were near my hotel in December. Quick and tasty burger if you're on the go. They also have an upstairs area that opens at a different time with a happy hour menu. The vibe was dim and the interior was decorated being that it was Christmas time in the city. The fries were really good. They were fresh and cut perfectly! bad service rant incoming. TLDR: Someone (manager?) who works there lied STRAIGHT TO OUR FACE and aggressively attempted to force us to leave even though we ordered food and were causing no problems I came with 4 other friends for a football game. The game starts at 3, so we show up at 2 (with a reservation) to ensure a table for the game. We ask the host and they confirm we can stay to watch the game. We order a few items and drinks. Later on, the waiter continuously comes around asking if we're ok, and we say yes. We're planning to order more as the game continues. Halfway into the game, he abruptly comes to us and says we need to leave, the table is reserved and an incoming party is here. He doesn't ask if we plan to order any more food or anything. In response, we tell him we're just about to order more food (suspecting the issue is that we haven't ordered food in a while - even though at this point our table bill is already ~$60. My friend is literally still drinking his beer). Someone else comes over (I assume the manager), and he reiterates he needs our table, someone has a reservation for it, and we reached our 90 minute time limit. First off, they're asking us to leave while my friend still has a drink in his hand? There's been zero warning so far as well. At least let the man finish his drink. Secondly, there is NO REFERENCE of a 90 minute time limit ANYWHERE. The original host had told us we can stay for the game when we entered. Thirdly, their website says FIRST COME FIRST SERVE for sports games. We tell the (manager?) all of this, and he stands his ground and says we need to leave. We then ask, can we stay if we order more food? And he says yes of course. SO HE BLATANTLY LIED TO US ABOUT AN INCOMING RESERVATION AND 90 MIN TIME LIMIT. He was also aggressive about it and not respectful at all. Of course we are happy to order more food to stay, we understand they are a business. From our perspective, we had already ordered food and drinks at this point so we didnt know that's what they wanted from us. From our perspective, we were suddenly asked to leave and give up our table. If they told us we needed to order more in order to stay, we would have happily ordered more; there was no reason to lie to us. read more

We went in one evening on a day when the playoff games were going on. So, the place was quite busy with football showings on every screen, but we got sat immediately. The menu options on their website and the items on the menu we had were different, and they advised that they didn't have some options available. No worries - as they still had a good selection of food. We ordered a salad, two pizzas, wings, and fries. They were all great and came out in a timely manner. The fries were probably my favorite TBH - they hit a spot I didn't know I had that day. When you walk in, there are booths to the left for cute dates. They have a bar and tables around, and then, they have a section of tables with a small stage. My first stop in the NYC for a light bite. From 12-4 Haswell has select bottomless brunch drinks 30pp with any entree purchase. The brunch menu is simple with an array of small plates, sandwiches, salads, and sides. The service was quick and efficient. They have a wide variety of cocktails, beer, and wine selections. Live music (Everybody At the Bar Getting Tipsy-Shaboozy) rendition was pretty good , TVs with bar in the center of all the action. Quaint little drop in eatery. Entrees included the Brisket French Dip Sandwich which was dry, Chicken and Waffle Sliders were decent, and the star of the show, the Goat Cheese Salad, it was absolutely delicious. read more

That's cool and all but not when you spend $40 on a cab to get there to watch the game to be told the kids can't come in. Do better and advertise no kids after 8 PM if that's going to be your policy. We stumbled upon this place when in New York. The hostess who greeted us was super friendly and immediately showed up to our table. Cute and quaint little two seater for my friend and I. The live music was very enjoyable! Great sound and popular hits! We shared the Potato Rosemary pizza and it was just ok. The crust was really good but the potatoes were still a bit too crunchy for my liking. If in the area in on a weekend evening, I'd still say it was worth a visit. read more

Haswell Greens was the absolute highlight of our trip to the Theater District. The location is perfect for anyone catching a Broadway show, which is exactly why we booked it. My wife is Irish and usually avoids "Irish bars" outside of Ireland, but since I'd made a reservation, she buckled under the pressure and agreed to go. I highly recommend booking ahead--just like the other reviews suggested, they asked for our name the second we walked in. What started as "staying for just one drink" turned into the entire evening. The atmosphere is high-octane with incredible dueling pianos that turn the room into a massive sing-along. We ended up staying for a lovely dinner of wood-fired pizza and smash burgers, but the real star was the Espresso Martini Flight. It's a brilliant way to sample different takes on the classic and kept our energy up for the music. What truly made the night was our amazing waitress, Karen K. She was incredibly attentive and her specific recommendations were spot on. Thanks to Karen, we had a fantastic experience that even won over my skeptical wife. They have tvs for the games going and an it's two levels. No visible elevator. I don't mind it terribly but the top floor was majority high tops with no seat back. We came here after going to a broadway show while on an anniversary trip. It was great! The servers seated us promptly and we were able to have a few minutes to decide what to order while seated in the cutest two top booth. We got the Spicy Soppreseta pizza which was delicious (though not very spicy) and my wife got a guilty pleasure cocktail to drink and I got a paper airplane. Both were delicious and refreshing. This would be a great spot to go for a date or to hangout with friends in the more open seating area in the back. It is dimly lit and the vibe is cozy. We will come back. read more

First time here. Nice place next to the theater I'm going to next. The decor is really pub like decor. It's pretty big place inside. Wrap around huge bar with tv's all over. If you use a credit card they will charge you 3% more. The Brisket French dip was good for the little I tasted. My fish and chips was really good. Light, fluffy and very favorable. The portions were more than enough to share or take with you. For desert I tried the Oreo cheesecake and my sister in law had the Creme Brulee. I did not care for the C.B. but my cheesecake was NY good cheesecake. Nice place to come for a 62nd birthday. There is a stage for a live band. You can look on line for the band schedule. But they have music playing in the air when no band is playing. There's a parking garage directly across the street. Definitely would come back if was seeing another show next door. read more

It took a few minutes for the server to pop over. We ordered drinks and they came out in a timely manner. We ordered a few rounds of food, which all came out really fast. The food was delicious! Great bar and live music Friday night when we went. Had to pay the $10 cover to see the band, but worth it. You can only sit at the table if you're eating, otherwise you have to try to grab a seat the bar. All the bar seats were taken when we arrived, but we found a nice little nook for us to stand at. The only thing is we couldn't really see the band, and it would've been nice if there was a dancing area in front of the band, but it was filled with tables. There was a review video going around social media about Haswell Green's, which inspired us to book it for bottomless brunch. Their brunch includes a $30 bottomless option with more than just mimosas. There were also aperol spritz, espresso martinis, and the tables favorite were the pornstar martinis. I loved having so many options for bottomless brunch! You are required to get an entree with bottomless, and I got the chicken and waffle sliders. These were really good, and a nice solid pairing when drinking a lot. There are two pianos that take requests, with Venmo codes for tip. They first seated our group right in front of the piano stage, but unfortunately it was way too loud for us with the loud speakers pointed straight at us. We couldn't hear each other at all, and while it's fun to sing along at brunch, it felt more like sitting at a loud concert. We asked to move somewhere further from the speakers and they were very kind and let us go a bit further back. This ended up being perfect, we couldn't hear each other and the music. Just decided to go in this restaurant looking for a place to drink and boy am I glad that I did. The hostess was very kind from the moment I walked in the door. Actually everyone working there was great. There was a live band playing all kinds of music that you can definitely sing a long with or make a request. Very nice space and a great vibe. I ordered a mixed drink which was delicious. Just the right amount for all the ingredients which made the drinks tasty. The strawberry whiskey smash and the mojito.
