Came here for work drinks - never been here before but stumbled upon it during my lunch break. Has the British pub feel to it - the space is actually quite large when you go all the way to the back. There is also a massive patio at the back with heaters. We didn't go to the back as there was a corporate event. The place was definitely buzzing. A little bit hard to hear at times when there were loads of people but it got better. The place is part of the Fitzpatrick hotel - I made a reservation prior to the event to ensure we had seating. Cat, our waitress was phenomenal.

reviews here had me nervous! ok..... so it's the week after christmas & midtown is a zoo. we were starving from walking around & we saw fitzpatrick's awning and i know the location in the 50s. went into the the wheeltapper walked past the bar to the tables. seems like some of the bad reviews are for the bar area which is small so i could see it getting tough to get served with an afterwork crowd. sat in a booth and was promptly given menus and asked if we wanted drinks. delicious pint of guinness. we got a variety of things and all plates were cleaned. My shepard's pie was on the small side but it was very tasty.

No complaints. Cool pub with great drink and food options. We stopped in to watch the World Series, it wasn't super super crowded like some closer options. Grabbed a couple of beers and their potato skins. The potato skins were mashed potatoes like potato skins. They were pretty good could've used some more cheese and bacon. Would go back again for some beers and order something else.

Great space for a small outdoor oasis in the busy city. The service was 5 stars, the food was 5 stars and the value was great. Guiness was poured right with lots of drink options available. Come early, as space fills fast and is first come first serve. They have two spaces with TVs you can rent that have awnings. Alternatively, the bar attached is great fun too. Very clean pub feel. Definitely worth dropping by for a pint with friends!

Great Guinness. 8.5/10. Very busy at happy hour but always a good atmosphere and great, friendly and quick service. Patio is awesome in warm weather. Food is good too. An after-work favorite.

    Good pour!

The 3 stars come plainly because the atmosphere in this place is spot on, and they pour a nice Guinness. Been here a few times now and service has been fine. It's really a beautiful pub with amazing wooden interior and traditional nook layout. The issue is the food is meh. Ordered the french onion soup (FOS) a few times and wasn't thrilled. Came out luke warm with minimal cheese. We can't have that. The sliders also had zero flavor. Tasted like my uncles burgers growing up. No seasoning. Again, great place for a drink and tremendous atmosphere. But don't come hungry.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with champagne, which immediately set the tone for a special evening. Our server, Daniel, was beyond amazing. He was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our anniversary meaningful. It never felt forced just thoughtful, polished hospitality. The team went above and beyond when we brought our wedding cake (which had been frozen for a year). Not only did they accommodate it without hesitation, they helped decorate and present it beautifully you would have thought it had been baked that same day. It was such a touching moment for us, and they handled it with care and enthusiasm. As for the food: incredible. The steak tartare was perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared. The tuna was fresh and vibrant. And the Beef Wellington... honestly one of the best I've had in New York City. Perfectly cooked, rich, elegant, and absolutely worthy of a celebration dinner. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance: romantic, warm, refined but relaxed. It felt special without being stiff. If you're looking for a place to celebrate something meaningful, this is it. We will absolutely return.

We started with the steak tartare with Melba toast and caviar. For entrees we had the creamy cavatelli with maitake and squash. We finished off with a gorgeous sticky toffee pudding served with bourbon vanilla ice cream and crunchy toffee pieces. We loved the grandeur of the space and the cozy fireplace. It makes for an ideal business dinner setting

Every single corner is decorated. I appreciated how much space there was to sit at the bar, which is open seating. The cocktail list was a bit shorter than I expected and had some odd ingredients (salsa verde, soy sauce, etc) but my espresso martini was really balanced. We were less of a fan of the frozen hugo spritz, but it was definitely refreshing given the heat outside. One to check out if you appreciate a quirky atmosphere!

We timed their summer's Alice in Wonderland theme and was not disappointed. Our group of 15 was situated in the room just when walked in from the front entrance . Not has the privacy we wanted, not has sitting comfort we expected , not the best food we waited but delighted to be with the most decorative backdrop. We had a delay on our food service, had a mixed up to few orders, there was one extra charge for drinks not accounted by our group hostess until after the stay and was not assisted to our expectation level. Nevertheless, the experience was lovely .

Always a solid choice, though it could have been a bit colder. The bartenders were very nice and attentive, and the place clearly has a strong group of regulars. They were very accommodating, and the drink turned out delicious. Rich, smooth, and good enough that I ordered a second. Unfortunately, our server only heard that 5 of us wanted afternoon tea, and one of the tiers of food was smaller than the others. We also had to pay extra for additional tea, which we were fine with, but service was severely lacking throughout. Our server didn't check up on us, and seemed to want us to leave quickly after dropping off the check. We would have been happy to pay the $65 each for afternoon tea, but it wasn't worth it and frankly, I was agitated by the whole ordeal by the time I left. We were also disappointed by the food items (as they were lacking) and nothing about this was like other experiences we had with other afternoon teas. I can't in good faith recommend this place, nor do I see myself coming back after the atrocious service we experienced.
