Found this coffee shop in downtown St Charles and decided to try it. The inside is very nice and does have a Starbucks type of feel, so great place to just sit and relax, or even work. We ordered a few of there holiday drinks. I ordered a Oatmilk Holiday Cookie latte and was really good in my opinion 8.5/10. And my fiancé ordered a Chocolate covered Strawberry Latte, which was really great as well. The drinks came out pretty fast, typically usually only around 2 people working from my experience, but really great service. I think this is a hidden gem and will definitely be back. read more

My first time here. Idk why but first impression was it smelled really strong inside, like some type of citrus candle or cleaning solution. It started to make me feel sick and didn't want to stay too long. It was also confusing because they only list one price on their menu for every item and don't say a size. So I was confused when the girl asked me what size I wanted and I wasn't sure what price I was paying. I just ordered a medium iced latte with blackberry syrup. They have a lot of different syrup options! I didn't really like the latte that much and couldn't really taste the syrup almost as if it wasn't added. Maybe it's just because I prefer my lattes a lot more sweet and creamy, and this one tasted more like black coffee. read more

I love the industrial vibes and comfy seating gather areas in this location. I've been to their sycamore location and this one in St. Charles is definitely a come sip and stay atmosphere. Every drink I've ordered is delicious but the Apple Brown Betty is by far my favorite. The baristas are always friendly and willing to give suggestions when you're on the fence about what to order. I've never had a drink I didn't love. read more

I feel like something weird happened at checkout, because I had to pay $8 for my London Fog... it's just tea and milk.. But it was good anyway. If that's how much everything costs though, I will definitely not be back. The ambiance was excellent, great spot to study for a few hours. Their food selection is small, so not a good choice if you're trying to go out for a sit down breakfast, but an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid morning bite and a coffee. The servers were polite, although it felt like my very simple egg sandwich took a while to make. I normally don't notice or care about wait times, but it was long enough that I noticed. All in all not a bad spot, just quite expensive if this one experience was anything to go by. read more

Oh boy, a REAL coffee shop (within striking distance of my home), PLUS, they have real, actual, THICK ceramic cups! Take note of the above, Starbucks. Location is near the river, in St Charles, adjacent to a four story parking lot, on a street with very limited vehicle traffic. Somebody had their thinking caps on! Their 'blonde espresso' that was used in my cup, had a strong flavor profile, similar to Black Cat by Intelligentsia, one of my favorite 'drop kick you in da' face' flavor profiles. An assortment of in house whole bean coffees and espresso roasts, sealed the deal for me. Oops, forgot to mention, their in-case pastries, sweets, etc. and breakfast dishes. Very comfortable climate controlled place to lounge, enjoy your coffee, actually, and maybe, have a meaningful chat with a stranger ?... the possibilities are endless. This is the type of place Starbucks USED to be, before they lost their direction to become the soulless vampire-zombies they have been for the last 4 years. This place could be great but things are off. Maybe my coffee selection is the wrong choice. I got the chocolate covered strawberry iced latte. It was just OK. My kids got strawberry lemonade, which did not taste like strawberry and was very sweet and had popping Boba at the bottom. We got cinnamon rolls and two different croissants. Everything was very dried out and honestly gross tasting. I threw most of each croissant out, and my kids barely touched their cinnamon rolls. Also when they reheated them they weren't even warm in the center. The place is decorated well and I understand it's winter, but there's dirt and salt all over the floor, especially around the seating areas. And the bathroom is quite frankly disgusting. The garbage can is dirty in dented and the whole floor and walls. Need a good scrub. Definitely could use an upgrade. Unfortunately, we will not come back. I was trying to support a local place and not Starbucks but this place just missed the mark. read more

First impression of the shop is the ambiance. The coffee shop has nice neutral colors and uses natural oak rustic vibes well. Second, the staff was helpful. At our first visit, they pointed out their extensive menu, size comparisons, and milk options. They also keep their shop very clean. Also, they have free wifi and ample seating area so this could be great to WFH, do homework, etc. We ordered a medium cappuccino with oat milk and a medium iced vanilla rose latte with oat milk (their seasonal drink). The cappuccino is great and their ratio of the steamed milk over the espresso is really nice. The vanilla rose latte has a nice coffee taste with a subtle neutral rose after taste which was really good. I definitely recommend you to visit before their vanilla rose goes away. They also have a food menu that I'll try during our next visit! read more

I really enjoyed my visit to Coroco! My friend noticed their chalkboard sign that listed a Lavender Latte so we made our way back there the following day. Located on a small street that is getting a beautiful update, it was tricky to find. But once there, we saw shops, boutiques and even a fitness center. It looks like there there will be a beautiful water feature too. The look of this coffee house feels a little Mid-Century Modern. Wood and leather create a space perfect to enjoy your coffee, bubble tea and pastries. The woman at the counter was so nice. She joked with us and gave us details about the business. When I double checked that she had used oat milk she laughed and said with a smile, "I guess I made it so well it tastes like whole milk". She was playful and so was the tip jar. Check out the photo. My friend loved her Lavender Latte I and enjoyed my Pumpkin Pie Dirty Chai. They offered a ton of flavors to choose from and the woman helping us said they were the "Coffee Mixologists" of St. Charles. I believe her!! read more

This place was absolutely amazing to visit! I got an almond milk latte with mocha syrup and it was great. I can tell they definitely use natural syrups. I also got a yogurt parfait and a bagel. They were great as well. The people who served me were so nice and even made great food suggestions! The whole "vibe" of the place was also amazing. It was very relaxing and I feel like I could get some work done if needed. SIDE NOTE!! This place also has tons of parking around it! To get out of the wind and warm up after a short walk along the river we stopped in for some beverages. The spot is open and yet cozy with tons of seating. The barista gave us some good suggestions and we settled on lemon verbena tea with honey. Delicious! The lemon bites in the tea bring such a great note to the drink, very refreshing. We sat along the window to watch people and enjoy being cozy and warm. Cute spot and the tea was great. I'm sure the coffee would be great as well so might try that next. read more

Two stars because I wasn't sure how to feel about the baristas comment. When the barista handed me my drink, she says "let me know if it's bad, I was distracted making your drink." Not sure who says that. Anyways, I love tenzo matcha, and she didn't make it how I had ordered it, so it was okay. Service only thing that needs improving. read more

Really good flavorful coffee. I drink decaf, I know, I know... The decaf here is so good. Most decaf does not have a strong enough flavor for me but this does ! Would recommend. I had a campfire coffee with two " roasted" Marshmellows on a stick. Absolutely Delicious. read more

the staff here was so friendly and helpful! their seasonal drinks were delicious (i got an apple butter latte that was surprisingly good) and my latte was extra hot! the coffee here was great and flavorful with a well-roasted taste. the modern feel of the coffee shop was enjoyable and it was spacious and well decorated! i came back the next day to try the vanilla latte and beef hand pie and both were outstanding! coroco won't disappoint read more

Went to the st Charles location for the first time got a iced latte with coconut syrup. Omg it was delicious! Most coffee shops use dark roast coffee that is so bitter that I can't finish. Hands down best latte ever. Will be back to try the snacks and other drinks. read more

Overall this feels like a downgrade from Starbucks. Though I love supporting small business, I only support small business if what they provide is quality. The last three times that I was in this establishment the staff was clearly in training and it was overall just uncomfortable to be there. The coffee is mediocre, and they don't have some of the basic milk substitutes.
