Unfortunately my refrigerator was too old and the new part does not fit (not their fault that Frigidaire does not make the part I need). His prices were reasonable for the amount of time and effort it took to figure out the situation. I had to get a new refrigerator and Freddy helped install a new waterline since PC Richards was not able to do so. Unlike a New York public school teacher during covid, the technician got to work. He removed the ice maker assembly and suggested it might need to be replaced. I began mental preparations for taking out a second mortgage, as Viking parts are absurdly expensive. In short order, he determined that the assembly worked fine (pretty impressive for a 20-year old fridge). A piece of food had gotten into it and blocked the water flow. He fixed it, put it back, and I was back in the ice-making business in no time. He could have totally fleeced me, but did not -- restoring my faith in humanity, but not New York's teachers' unions.
