Edward finally showed up at 8:00, and before I even said a word he kept calling me "Mr. Hastle". He tells me to give him a minute, goes into the back, and I very politely said I was in a rush for work and just needed to pick something up really quickly. He finally comes out from the back close to 10 minutes later. When I brought up that their own website says they open at 7:30, he replies that it 's wrong and also says they're open on Sundays, which they aren't. Then why wouldn't you change what it says on your website? He never apologized for making me wait over 30 minutes. He must have called me "Mr. Hastle" at least three times - because I showed up when you open? There was another customer there as well so it wasn't just me. I just moved to the neighborhood and was using my serger for the first time since dragging it 1,700 miles to NY. It was working fine - until it wasn't. Started making some noises then an entire part broke and flew off at me, mid sergering! I panicked. I don't have a car anymore (we sold them when we moved here), so I was happy to see that this shop was less than 1/2 a mile from my apartment. Yay! I called to make sure the shop was open one morning, then once I got confirmation, I loaded both my serger and my sewing machine into my wagon and off I went! I went ahead and left my sewing machine along with my serger as I feared that the long drive in the u-haul might've caused the issues with the serger, so I just wanted him to look at my sewing machine and do some overdue general maintenance while fixing my serger. He told me that he'd "take care of my babies" and I left them there along with my name and phone number. I got a call the next morning, letting me know that they were ready. That was fast! He replaced the broken part on my serger then did maintenance on both machines. They are BOTH working like a charm!! I didn't catch the man's name, but he's an older Greek guy who was very kind and friendly. We chatted for a bit each time I was there, and he was very nice to talk to. I'm so SO grateful that he's close by and does quick, good work!!!

This may be lengthy but if I can save just one person from going here then I have done my job. So my gripe with this lady actually began nearly 1 month ago when I went to drop off my black leather boots. She told me she'd do a perfect amazing job and charged me $70 which I thought was overpriced AF but I was willing to make the investment as my boots are genuine leather etc. She told me it will take a week. COOL that's fine. A week goes by and its radio silent. 2 weeks go by. Still quiet. Then I make the mistake of reading the reviews where it said she doesn't answer the phone. I call this place no joke 45 times, not one answer. So now I have to take time out of my day to pass by TO SEE if theyre ready. So I go and OFC they're not ready. I demand my shoes back because now she has pissed me off. However, she is kinda apologetic and she promises it will be ready by Sunday and if not Sunday DEFF by Monday. I tell her I get out of work late and by the time I get to her it will be around 6:30 PM Monday. She says I'm here til 11 PM every day no problem! She takes down my number. Sunday rolls around and OFC she does not keep her word. No call. Monday comes around , nothing. So I drive by on monday and the establishment is CLOSED! CUTE! Tuesday no word. I now have to take time out of my day to physically pass by and see if they are ready as if I don't have a job and other responsibilities. Now Wednesday is when s*** hits the fan. I pass by wednesday and she says to me "black boots right?" Great, it seems as if she knows what she's talking about and I anticipate everything going smoothly. She proceeds to hand me a plastic bag with a size 8.5 black boot that are very obviously not mine and the brand is ZARA. (I am a size 7 and no shade why would I bring ZARA boots to the shoe repair?). I kindly tell her that these are not my shoes. Bc theyre very obviously not. Instead of saying let me look into this or having any sort of normal reaction she begins SCREAMING at me. Like actually raising her voice, fingers in my face saying things along the lines of these are the only black boots i have in the store, these are YOUR shoes, this is not my problem, you are a liar etc. I tell her to lower her voice and request that we speak like adults. I soon find out she is incapable of this request. I tell her I am not paying for shoes that are not mine and this really sets her off. She then tries to tell me that I am a thief, cheap, this was my master plan all along, tries to make it about her having an accent (?) and that God is always watching and to give the money I'm stealing from her to a homeless man (??) and tells me to take my shoes and leave. After screaming at each other back and forth for nearly 10 mins while customers are onlooking, She is successful in gaslighting me bc I actually leave with the shoes. However, I quickly turn around and return to the store because these are simply not my shoes. This time, I try a new approach because at the end of the day I just want my shoes. I say look I am not trying to fight but where are my shoes? These shoes are 2 sizes too big and I just don't have any use for them? Since she has no emotional regulation , she begins screaming at me again saying that this is NOT her problem and demands that I leave. At this point I am so beyond annoyed and frustrated. I call my dad bc I simply never been in a situation like this before and he can hear her screaming at me through the phone and is even like WTF. So I said MISS THIS IS YOUR PROBLEM. And called the police which I truthfully really did not want to do but I had no choice. I began describing her features to the operator on the line.and they said police will be dispatched. She then collects her sharp items (?) a goes to get a coffee (?????) Odd. She returns though, and I have now been waiting outside her store for 20 mins waiting for police arrival.Mind you I have somewhere to be in an hour. As I am waiting, she VERY politely invites me inside. I knew something was fishy. She then says she "does not want to argue with me" and she "wants to talk like adults"- the very same line I used on her 45 mins ago! She hands me a pen and paper and asks me to describe my boots in great detail (?). While I am doing her assignment because again I just want my shoes, she opens a curtain to reveal MY SHOES. The street parking was easy and there's a dog park nearby. The customer service was friendly and helpful. I wish they have a price chart for all items but the cashier said they don't and it's based on their experience, which makes no sense. The customers should have the right to know what their items will cost ahead of time. The throw blanket was $45 and the cropped trench jacket was $24.50. Dropped off Wednesday morning and pick up is the following Tuesday afternoon. Pay cash to avoid 3.5% credit card fee. I like how the cashier was honest and told me I can throw my throw blanket in the washing machine due to its material, which I agree 100% but I wanted the furs to be fluffy so opted for dry cleaning.
