We stopped by to pickup a sandwich on our way home from Salinas. The person making the sandwiches did not listen at all to what we were ordering and was extremely rude and defensive. The person could have cared less about being at work and it completely showed in his customer service and attitude. It also might help if the employees would take their ear pods out the their ears so that they might actually have a change of hearing what you ordered. We had to repeat our order twice to the person and could barely understand what he was asking. read more

My job takes me to some random places and I usually need some snacks to hold me over through the day. We found this little market right off of the main road/hwy and gave them a gander since my partner said he came here before. They have everything you need for a simple market including a deli. It was 9am and I just wanted something light to hold me through the day. I was aiming to get a sandwich but when asking the young lady in the deli what is popular here, she suggested the tri tip sandwich. It's afternoon somewhere in the country so why not try it out. I ate it in the parking lot and I'd be damned.. one of the best tri tip sammies I can think of. The bread is really good, the meat is tender and the sauce is the icing on the cake. I'd definitely stop here again during rational lunch hours lol. Being that it's rural area I'm not gonna takeaway from the non existing cheesy customer service that some would expect from a supermarket. They were nice enough and respectful here so they're good in my book. Btw when you first walk in there's a stack of huge cookies on the counter. I strongly suggest you don't overlook them cause I bought one and still have the desire to try them all now! I have to say, I have not gone in to the store in a long time due to the fact of the old owners neglect and poor ownership, but the new owners have gone above and beyond about turning this place around and getting it back on the map!! Over the past couple years the quality and services went downhill to the point I stopped going. Went in today for the first time in a while and was surprised to see the market had gotten a facelift. Straight disgusting...new ownership apparently non English speakers, wrong orders and late each day our class submitted our to go order for pick up. Old stale buns were used that were hard on some of the items. The meatball sub was slathered in mustard, mayo, pickles and lettuce. Old owners were pretty good until this got taken over so based on the new reviews this shop would have an even lower average if it wasn't for the previous history. read more

I just walked in yesterday and didn't know where I was!!! I'm sure everybody is going to have this same experience they moved to the counter and have cleaned up absolutely everything. It's 2 young kids from the Bay area that want to bring good food and good service to our local store! I for one I'm excited to support them on their endeavor so far I've only met Alex and he is a joy! Sandwich was a 5, store is a 5....the guy making the sandwich was not so great. He hates life but makes a good sandwich, so I'm not sure how to rate the place ‍ Clean, lots of stuff you won't see at a chain market. A couple things of produce & meat. Cute little store in the middle of nowhere. We were doing local geocaching and stopped here for a snack. We ordered a tri-tip sandwich and an egg salad sandwich. When she took out the supposed tri-tip, I said it wasn't tri-tip, that it was roast beef. She disagreed, but we got it anyways. This $8.99 sandwich was super tiny and definitely not worth $8.99. I got the egg salad sandwich which was ok. But it ended up giving me food poisoning. Puking for hours. read more

Sandwiches are substantial but almost too large and the bread is ALWAYS stale and dry! It breaks apart when eating the sandwich. They leave the bread bags open after each sandwich is made. So simple to twist them closed each time and the bread would not be dry and stale. VERY EXPENSIVE to not even be able to eat it like a sandwich. We seldom order them anymore. They used to be so good. The store has a good selection of wine and essentials so I give three stars for that. Service is usually unfriendly. read more

If the employees actually cared, this place could be so much more, but I fear from lack of work pride and the owners going with cheap quality and cheap help, this little market is on a slippery slope. Bruno's market has a strong reputation and this is supposed to be its sister store, but lately it seems like each time I go there, the quality goes further down than the time before. The girls working there are rude, slow, and it's quite clear they don't take any pride in their work. My sandwich had stale bread, the vegetables were not cold, and the overall quality of the food was subpar. The breakfast burritos are awful. It's a shame. read more

The employee are sloppy, dirty & could careless about customer service. They slap together sandwiches like you are an inconvenience to them.
